(N/A: Hey again guys. Ok, I will have these little notes/announcements when I'm gonna change something up a bit or if I need to update you on events that are happening. Instead of using my actual name for the story, reason why is because I kept going through some of the super forms used by Sonic in his games and shows and my own name, and it won't work. So for this story, I will call the main character Spyro as I think its much better and I want to honor him as one of the best main characters in my opinion and the character is not the real Spyro as in the game. Disclaimer, I do not own My little Pony, Sonic, The Legend of Spyro, or Star Wars. All rights are reserved to the original owners and creators. The use of names, items, and anything else to be mentioned is for entertainment purposes in this story and not the real thing. Hope you enjoy this chapter and I welcome any tips or feedback you may have.)

Chapter 1: Awaken Thy Power

Falling, that's all he felt. He felt like he was falling in the darkness, but could not see where he was falling to or even see where he started falling from. All he remembered was he was killed by one of those blue things as he was running to a ship for safety, but failed to make it in time and be struck in the back. He tried opening his eyes again to see wherever he was falling to, only to see nothing but darkness as far as the eye can see.

"Is this it?" He asked himself. "Is this what happens when you die?"

He felt nothing all around him as he fell, slowly closing his eyes as he was ready to accept his fate, but then he felt something flip him to where he is right side up and then felt ground underneath his feet. He opened his eyes again to see that it was still dark, so he took a step forward, only for a whole flock of birds to start flying all around him from the ground and away into the sky. As the last of the birds flew away, he looked down to see a stain glass window below his feet, somehow not breaking and on it was himself in the center with what looked like the blade that teen had, but it looked more like a dragon's neck and head covered in Amethyst crystals and the head as the teeth of the blade, the guard was the wings of the dragon and on the keychain was another dragons head.

"Weird." He said, examining the ground.

His eyes then drifted to his left where he saw a dragon next to him with purple scales and an orange underbelly and next to it was what looked like a monk in plain brown robes holding what looked like a purple lightsaber ignited. He then turned his gaze to the right he got even more confused because to the right was what looked like a horse with a horn and wings and next to it was himself, but with golden hair and seven jewels that looked like cut diamonds and one in his chest. He backed away as soon as he saw this and then looked up, hoping to see something, anything that would make some sort of sense.

"What is this!?" He shouted. "Where am I? What's going on!?"

"Realm between realms." Came an unknown voice, causing the man look around frantically to find who it was that spoke. "A place where shadow meets light, and light meets shadow."

"The darkness spreads." It continued. "A light is fading. A world filled with peace will shatter. The door will open. Darkness shall rise. Only a prince of light and darkness can save it."

"Stop talking in riddles!" He shouted. "I am no hero! I'm not a prince!"

He then looked to the ground and felt sorrowful and depressed as to what had just happened, remembering everything that has happened to him as tear rolled down his face and onto the ground.

"I just want to go home." He said, his voice cracking as he spoke.

There was no response from the voice as he spoke, believing that this is some kind of divine punishment for him for something he did wrong, but had no clue as to why or what he did. A second later, three platforms rose from the ground, spooking him and backing away to the very edge of the glass platform, staring at the three pedestals that rose. On the one furthest from him appeared a sword with dragon wings for the guard and a dragons head on the pommel of the hilt, to his right was a wand that had a dragons head on it and a rune of unknown origin, and to his left was a shield, also in the shape of a dragons head. Starring at all three, he walked forward and kept walking until he reached the middle of the room.

"With strength comes power." The voice said after he reached the center. "Invincible courage, and destruction, the path of a warrior. With magic comes mystical power, the awakening of inner strength, and wonder, yet ruin. A shield of a protector, power to protect all, invincible protection."

He looked at all three of the items before him, realizing that he has to choose between the three objects, but didn't know which one to choose. He could take the sword and be strong enough to fight anything, the staff to have great mystical power and abilities like none other, or he could have the shield and be untouchable and be harder to hit. He wanted to approach them, but knew he was no warrior, no sorcerer, and no protector, only a guy who has no hope of being anything more than a regular man.

He looked back up at the sword, then to the shield, and then the staff, wondering what he should choose, but felt something strange happen to him, feeling a sudden tingle in his hands. He looked down, but them felt pain go through his arms and into his whole body as he stretched his arms to his right and his left, like he was reaching for something. At the same time, he felt something hit his left arm and strapped itself, another fly into his right hand, and something else hit his back. Seconds later, the pain was gone and his arms returned to his side, but with the shield on his arm, the sword in his hand, and the staff on his back.

"Power to defy logic." The voice said. "Power to accept all. Power of balance. One as three, three as one. Warrior, Guardian, Sorcerer. A test of what to sacrifice and what to acquire. To have power, sacrifices must be made. What will you sacrifice to have the power of three?"

He looked at the weapons now in his possession, horrified that the three different items just flew into his hands, on his arm, and onto his back. He threw the sword away and began unstrapping the shield, but the leather strap is too strong and it wasn't coming off. He gave up and reached for the staff only for the sword it appear in his hand.

"What kind of Kingdom Hearts kind of shenanigans is this?" He asked, but his face immediately changed to represent the realization that had hit him. "Kingdom... Hearts."

As he said it, more of those creatures appeared around him in a circle, trapping him. He raised his shield and kept his sword close to him as they appeared, waiting for them to make the first move. He didn't wait long as he spun around and sliced one of them in half as it had just leapt at him, causing it to disintegrate into a cloud of black smoke, but what surprised him was he somehow knew that was gonna happen.

"Power rests within." Said the voice again. "Power for you to unlock."

His confusion had now skyrocketed as he didn't understand any of this, but felt the same thing again and spun around, but with the sword fully extended out, hitting three of them at once. Then a whole group ran at him and instinctively he raised his hand and felt a wave of power flow through him as it pushed them off the platform. He looked at the spot where they were in surprise and then at his hand at what he just did and smiled to himself. But he heard more come from behind him finding more. He did the same thing, but instead flames shot out from his hand, roasting them into nothing.

"Power of three worlds in one." Said the voice. "As one with great power, comes the responsibility. Comes temptation and dark promises. Are you strong enough to resist?"

As the question was asked, the dark creatures went into the ground and disappeared, leaving him alone. He let his guard down and lowered his blade and his shield, thinking it was over, but in fact it wasn't. He couldn't explain it, but he sensed something was behind him, so he turned around to look and spun around, backing away as he saw a giant covered in dark energy with a giant heart shaped hole in its stomach, but saw nothing in it. He raised his shield and sword again to defend himself while backing away, but ran out of room as he reached the edge.

He felt true fear as he looked at the giant behemoth as it loomed over him, starring into the yellow empty eyes as it starred back at him. It then bent down to get closer to him as if it wanted to talk. All he did was stand his ground and lifted the shield higher to avoid its gaze, but it stopped mer inches from his blade.

"From darkness the worlds were created." The voice said, making it seem like it was the giant who was talking. "To darkness everything shall return. Are you strong enough to fight the darkness? Are you strong enough to resist its temptations? Or will you resist and fight?"

The giant then stood back up, forcing him to continue to stare at it, unable to take his eyes off it as it rose back up. He wanted to find a way out, but knew he was in deep trouble as it was rising back up as he didn't know what to do.

"Well this is just great." He said to himself. "This day keep getting better and better."

Preparing for the worst, he raised his shield higher to avoid eye contact, but then saw something catch his attention. He saw a red light shoot past behind the giant and followed where it went, but then saw a blue light, followed by yellow, indigo, purple, white, and then two green lights. He followed the green lights until it fell down behind the giant, causing him to follow it until he saw the ground. The stain glass floor was glowing, but only the dragon and the monk was glowing as the horse and his golden self was still inactive.

He didn't understand what this meant, but then remembered what the voice said about power of three world. The first was what he guess to be the Force, the second was the dragon, but the third made no sense to him. Why would there be a version of himself with gold hair and jewels in his chest, but on closer inspection, he had his answer and the yellow light flew past and stopped to his left, revealing it to be a yellow diamond, but it was no diamond at all.

"A Chaos Emerald." He said. "That's it. The three powers of the three worlds. The Force from Star Wars, the purple dragon from Spyro, and now the chaos emeralds from Sonic the Hedgehog. These are the powers you are talking about. But why these three?"

"Balance in worlds is difficult." The voice said. "Three are needed, a new hero emerges. Combine the power of the wisest warrior, the strength and protection of a dragon, and the eternal power of chaos made light. But out of them all, darkness will always remain."

"I care not for your riddles." He spoke at last, stepping towards the giant. "I am no hero, but a hero at the same time."

A red emerald soon flew down from above, shrinking to the about half its size, and struck him in the chest, causing him to feel a little pain as it stabbed into him and making him stop, but then kept walking through the pain. The giant then took a step back, feeling the light inside of him grow stronger and the darkness in him grow as much, but feeding into each other.

"I am normal, yet unusual." He continued as he walked forward, a green emerald striking next. "Weak, yet strong. Scare, yet brave. Powerless, yet powerful."

Three more flew down and struck into his chest, making the pain worse, but he kept walking forward, fighting through it. The giant kept walking back, trying to put distance between it and him, but failing as he soon ran out of room like its prey did moments ago.

"I know nothing, yet know more than I thought." He said next as the purple emerald struck him next. "Anxious, yet relieved. Darkness flows through me, yet there is also light."

The final two emeralds, the white and yellow emeralds, struck him, all seven the same size as the first, all their power pulsing through him as his body began to change with the power in him growing stronger by the second. The giant knew it needed to do something and decided to strike first before he did, but stopped as a massive emerald hovered over him, pulsation more power than it could stomach. The new 'Hero' raised his sword as flames engulfed it and spread out into a massive wave of heat and light, making the giant flinch and nearly slip off the edge.

"I hold no royal blood in my veins!" The hero shouted. "Yet at the same time, I am a prince. Everyone is either a prince or a princess. A prince or princess of their own fate. For if all we do is just cower and cry in a corner when nothing goes our way, then in the end, we deserve the hand we are dealt. But if we take fate in our own hand, then nothing is impossible!"

The flames then shot onto his back and seared the cloth off his back and in its place, two massive dragon wings grew and flared out as they came out. Without flapping his wings, he rose into the air as the power within him gave him flight without his them.

"We may have hurdles in our lives," he continued. "But a life without hurdles is one without lessons to learn, challenges to overcome, and no mistakes to be made. Without them, we may never become stronger than we are. Wiser than we are. Or better than we were."

As he spoke, the giant emerald flew higher into the air and flew down fast, shrinking to be a third of its size, hitting him in the chest. As it did, he erupted into. Pillar of golden light, blinding the beast for a moment until it could see his foe again, but this time with the golden hair and golden light surrounding him. The giant stood frozen in fear as it saw its opponents power coming off of him and its entire body shook uncontrollably as it looked.

The hero lowered its blade until it was pointing at the creature, light and darkness coming off of it at the same time, pulsating with hope and despair.

"I cast off my shackles of fear." He said. "I renounce my name and previous fate, etched into the stones of time. For I am the light of hope, the shadows of despair. I give myself a new name, a new fate, a new life. I will forever be known by one name."

He then sliced the air, leaving an arch of pure light, radiating power of hope.

"One title." He said, slicing the arch, but leaving a purple arch to represent darkness. "And by all in this universe."

He slice the air a third time, a golden arch mixing with the rest, making a six pointed star made with.

"I... am..." he said raising his sword high above his head. "SPYRO! SPYRO VANVICKLE!!!"

As he spoke his new name, the star shot forward towards the giant, causing it to lift its arms instinctively to block the attack. It did little to protect him ad it passed straight through the beast, slicing it into multiple pieces, a giant heart shooting out of it and disappearing. Spyro levitated down to the ground, feeling the effects of the amount of power he released, returning to his normal form. He watched at the giant fell into pieces as it disappeared into darkness, smiling at how good it felt to not feel afraid anymore.

"Darkness and light, intertwined." The voice said. "One dies, the other suffers. Without darkness, there is no light. Without light, there is no darkness."

The giant disappeared in the cloud of darkness, but it left behind something as it fell. Spyro looked at the new figure and watched as it approached him, but not attack.

"You are the last." It continued. "A new generation appears. The door is sealed. Awaken, Prince of Light and Darkness."

He didn't understand, but felt his eyes grow heavy from releasing so much power. Fighting to remain awake, he fought back the drowsiness until it overtook him, making him feel like he was falling again. But a moment later, he opened his eyes and saw a roof over his head and could smell a candle burning. He began to sit up, but felt a sharp pain in his back, his chest, and in his head, making him fall back, groaning in pain.

"Oh, you're awake."

Spyro looked to his left to see a girl wearing what looked like a pink dress outfit modified with to have shorts and a small pouch on her side.

"Welcome back to the land of the living." She said, giving him a pleasant smile.
