Chapter 6: An Enemy Revealed

Applejack and Spyro had just left town and returned to the farmhouse just as Granny Smith was preparing lunch, entering the house through the front door to be greeted by by Winona first as she barked and yipped at them, pleased to see her master and her friend back home. Applejack walked into the kitchen and put the box of sweets on the counter while Spyro walked to the stairs, but not before everyone else got a look at his new and improved jacket, starring in awe at it as they have never seen anything like it before. Apple Bloom walked up to Spyro to get a better look at the coat and was stunned by how amazing it looked with the diamonds and the onyx on it, making him stand out more than he did without it.

Before she could ask about it, he walked up the stairs and back to his room as quickly as he could, acting like an excited colt not waiting to open his birthday present that he has been waiting forever for. Applejack and the rest of the Apple Family sat at the table, eating lunch as they couldn't wait long for him to come back and ate their fill until they heard him come out of his room after a few minutes, watching the stairs as they heard his hoof steps. When they saw him next, they saw that he had those shoulder guards on his jacket with eh white head back on his right shoulder while the black guard was on his left, going with the newly added crystals on his coat and the bag strapped on his right side of his body while allowing for his wings to move. As he walked to the table, Winona ran up and put her front paws up his leg, demanding pets, which he gave her with a smile.

"Well gosh darn Spyro." Applejack said. "Didn't think you'd go for wearing armor all the time."

"Well what can I say?" Spyro asked. "They grew on me after two years of wearing them."

He got to the table and began filling his plate off food and enjoying every bite of it as this kind of food is home made and was taught that home made food was the best kind. As they ate, Applejack explained to the whole family that he was challenged to a race by Rainbow Dash and that the time and location was at the Town Hall at four o'clock, which Apple Bloom seemed excited about.

"Cool! There hasn't been a race here in Ponyville in a long time!" Apple Bloom said. "No pony is able to keep up with her as she's really fast. Ya sure ya'll can keep up with her?"

"Oh, I'm more than sure I can." Spyro replied, taking a bite out of some apple pie before swallowing it. "I think she'll find me more than she can handle."

They finished their meals and everyone went back outside, Big Mac, Apple Bloom, and Applejack working as quickly as possible so that they can watch the race while Spyro just walked to the clearest section of the farm and set the bracers gravity device to ninety times the worlds normal gravity, the effects taking hod immediately as he felt his body get heavier, grunting. He then got busy doing regular exercises from push ups and running in place to more advanced kinds of workouts like pushups while doing a hand stand and even lifting some of the heaviest things he could find. While that went on, Applejack was taking containers full of apples to the barn to store for sale later, but looked over to watch Spyro as he did his exercises, still not believing that he was racing Rainbow Dash. She then walked over to him as he finished up his work out and cleared her throat, getting his attention.

"Ya know, if ya want a real workout, ya might help us out with bucking some apples." Applejack suggested. "It'll help us get everything down quickly and ya might get a head start on what we hear on the farm."

"Hey that's a good idea." Spyro said, wiping his head off. "What do we do?"

"Simple. Follow me sugarcube." Applejack started walking towards the apple trees, passing Big Mac as he carried three loads of apples on his back with relative ease, stopping at the first tree they found. At the base of the tree was multiple empty buckets ready to catch some apples and bright red and very juicy apples in the tree, ready to be picked.

"All ya gotta do is buck the tree." Applejack said, rearing her hind legs up and kicking the tree, knocking down all the apples in a single kick. Spyro watched how she did it, noting her position and how hard she kicked. "It's that simple."

"That's it?" Spyro asked. "Pfft. That ain't even a challenge for me."

He walked over to the first tree he could find and got into the same position that Applejack got to and reared his legs, getting ready to kick.

"Now ya'll don't feel bad if ya don't get it on yer first try." Applejack said, expecting him to fail. "It takes a lot of-" She didn't finish as Spyro kicked the tree hard and knocked down all the apples from the tree into the bucket, shocking the farm mare as her eyes and her mouth were wide open. "Try?"

"That was too easy." Spyro said in a relaxed tone of voice. "Might need to kick more to work up a sweat."

He then trotted off to the next tree and repeated the process again, and again, and again, surprising Applejack and Big Mac, both shocked to see their guest just flying through some of the trees and knocking down more apples.

"Spyro, ya'll sure ya didn't work on a ranch before?" Applejack asked. "Ya'll are a natural."

"Nah. First time." Spyro replied, kicking another tree. "Plus, this is a lot more fun. So what do we do after bucking the apples?"

"Well, we got to store the apples in the barn." Applejack replied.

"Got it." Spyro said.

He then used his magic to telekinetically lift the buckets full of apples onto his back and walked off as he carried a whole tower full of apples on his back, both Applejack and Big Macs jaws dropping as they watched him balance the buckets full of apples on his back, walking them to the barn without even using his magic to keep them from falling down. A moment, later, he returned with the empty buckets and placed them at the base of more trees, continuing to kick the trees and collect the apples. The two siblings just watched as he did most of the work that needed to be done, only stopping him when he had reached their quota for the day in less than an hour, showing how much endurance he had and how physically fit he really was.

"Well toot mah horn and call me impressed." Applejack said. "Ya'll got all the apples we needed for the day in an hour, which would have taken all of us the rest of the day to do."

"Well, I didn't want you to miss out on me mopping the floor with Rainbow Dash." Spyro replied. "It's gonna be a race for the books."

However, as he said it, he could sense something was watching him from the trees and looked up, just barely catching a glimpse of something in the trees. He wanted to jump up and see what it was, but was pulled away by Applejack and Big Mac, wanting him to get a break in before he raced as, to them, he worked up a storm getting everything done. As for what was in the tree, it continued to watch him as he was pulled away from the trees and back to the barn, disappearing in a dark portal underneath it.

Later on, it was getting close to time for the race, so the entire Apple Family and Spyro left the area and walked towards Ponyville, but Spyro wasn't focused on the race as he was disturbed by what he felt as he knew something was off. He kept looking into the trees, hoping to get a look at whatever was watching him follow as he walked, but nothing seemed to move in the trees and the only thing that seemed to cause them to move was the wind blowing through the trees leaves. He wanted to believe that he was imagining things and that what he was feeling was nerves, but what he sensed through the Force wasn't something made up as it felt almost the same as what he felt back at the Town Hall and to him, something was watching him and was preparing for something.

"Hey, Equestria to Spyro, ya'll in there?" Applejack said, knocking on Spyro's head to get him to pay attention. He shook his head, annoyed that Applejack was hitting him again just to get him to pay attention. "Oh, good. Ah thought we would need to hit ya with some cold water to snap ya out of it."

"Yeah right." Spyro said, stretching his wings. "Even that wouldn't have gotten me out of my train of thought."

"Oh yeah, what were ya thinkin' about?" Applejack asked.

Spyro wanted to tell her what he felt, but knew better than that as it was something he couldn't explain or risk being exposed. He just shook his head like nothing was wrong and kept walking, but his silence only made Applejack concerned as to her, that usually meant that he was hiding something. A minute later, they arrived at Town Hall where a whole crowd of ponies were waiting for him, cheering and all excited for the race to soon begin. He looked into the air and saw a platform made of clouds where Rainbow Dash was stretching herself out and was loving all the attention she was getting.

"Well, looks like it's my time to shine." Spyro said, spreading his wings out, turning his head to the Apples. "Wish me luck."

He then took off and flew towards the platform where he believed it to be the starting platform. When he reached it, there were a lot of Pegasi on some other clouds and on top of roofs as to get a view of the race. Without thinking, he landed on the cloud, but panicked a second later, believing he was gonna fall through it and splatter on the ground, but found that the cloud felt solid to him, and also kinda fluffy too, reminding him of a certain little blue alien that he knew.

"I was wondering when you were gonna show up." Rainbow Dash said. "I kind of thought you might have chickened out."

"Hey, I never back down from a challenge." Spyro said, stretching his wings out. "Besides, I'm not gonna loose to a pony who looks like a fugitive from the lollipop factory."

Rainbow Dash stopped her stretches and looked at him, dumbfounded that he was already trash talking before the race started, which also got everyone else laughing by his remark. Before she could retort, she heard the laughter of three Pegasi who she didn't want to hear from right now. She turned around and saw the Bully Boys, who consisted of three Pegasi stallions, who were: Dumb-bell, a dark brown with a blonde mane and an image of an actual dumbbell on his flank, Hoops a yellowish tan pony with a brown mane and tail, the mane covering his eyes, and three basketballs on his flank, and Score, a gray Pegasi with a black mane and tail, his mane also covering his eyes, and three footballs on his flank for his cutie mark.

"Well, well, well, look who it is." Dumb-bell said. "If it isn't Rainbow Crash. Dropped out of any flight schools recently?"

"How about you mind your own Beeswax!" Rainbow Dash shouted. "I didn't drop out of nothing! I am too good of a flier to just drop out."

"Whatever Rainbow Crash." Dumb-bell replied. "You're still nothing more than the same loser back in flight school and always will be one."

"Is there a problem here?" Spyro asked, walking over to where everyone was fighting, giving the three stallions a surprise when they saw him. "Couldn't help but overhear you guys poking fun of my competition here. Have nothing better to do with your time than harass a mare or are you just desperate to prove how masculine you are by trying to bully someone you think is weaker than yourself?"

Everyone who was within ear shot of what he said laughed a bit, causing the three stallions to look at them, spooked that they were laughing at what he just said and angry that he was even defending her. Hoops and Score just looked at each other, trying to figure out what to say, but Dumb-bell just looked angry and was ready to pop.

"Hey, we aren't desperate for anything!" He replied, angry. "We are way better than Rainbow Crash here as she's nothing more than a little drop out who can't listen to instructions during flight school."

"If you were better than her then you would be the ones racing her here and now instead of poking fun of her. And flapping your gums" Spyro responded. "And I doubt that a few little colts in grownup bodies would even have a chance to keep up with watching Rainbow Dash fly than they can running their moths off. So why don't you run on home and play on your little swing set as this race is for grownup ponies only."

Everyone, including Rainbow Dash, who heard him again bursted out into uncontrollable laughter as he just roasted three of the biggest bullies that they know of, telling them to just get lost in a fashion that would make anyone's mother proud. The three stallions just leered at him and were ready to pounce, but a pink hot air balloon appeared between them and Spyro, preventing them from charging at the hybrid to try anything.

"Alright, everypony!" Pinkie said from the basket with a megaphone. "Take your places as the race is about to begin."

"This isn't over lizard boy!" Dumb-bell shouted, flying off with his friends to find a place to sit.

"Hmph. Must have a real small stallion hood to try and poke fun of a mare for no reason at all." Spyro said, making Rainbow Dash laugh again as they walked to the starting line. "Betcha they pose in front of the mirror saying 'Oh yeah, you a real stud. You gonna get that Rainbow Dash good today.'"

As he said it, he got up on his hind legs and pretended to done some strong man posses like he was in front of a mirror, which only made her laugh even more, instantly forgetting the three stallions from earlier.

"Spyro, you are something else." Rainbow Dash said as they reached the starting line. "Thanks for standing up for me. But don't think I'm gonna go easy on you."

"Wouldn't have it any other way." Spyro responded, watching at Pinkie floated over.

"Welcome mares and gentle colts to the race of your lifetime." Pinkie said through her megaphone. "Today we got a special treat for you as we have a race between two very special ponies to see who the fastest one is." Her ballon floated closer to them and she used her foreleg to point at Rainbow Dash first, pulling her megaphone closer. "We have a town favorite, the mare who zips and zooms around, the fastest pony you could ever meet. It's... RAINBOW DASH!"

Many ponies cheered for her as Pinkie announced her, some Pegasi even chanting her name, which she waved her hoof and took a bow. Then Pinkie pointed her hoof to Spyro, getting ready to announce him, but as she did, he felt a disturbance in the Force again. It was the same disturbance he's been feeling all day, making him look around to see if he could find it, but with app the pegasi and clouds around him, he couldn't find a thing as it made it difficult. But at the last second, he caught sight of something black and blue flying between clouds, changing its hiding spot so be closer to the track. He wanted to get a closer look, but the disturbance was gone a second later when a blue pegasus flew by trying to find a place to watch the race, releasing him, but still remaining on high alert as his instinct told him not to let his guard down too soon.

"And we have the challenger!" Pinkie said, getting Spyro's mind off of what he saw. "The mystery new comer who arrived here in Ponyville just last night. My new best friend, who I'll throw a party for later, and an awesome looking hybrid between a pony and a dragon. It's... SPYRO!"

As Pinkie shouted his name, some of the Pegasi and ponies bellow them cheered, either for the announcement that there will be a party for him or were really cheering for him. As soon as Pinkie was done with her announcement, the ballon lowered down until it touched the clouds, somehow not falling through, and pulled out a map of the area and the course they will take.

"Alright you two, here's how it will go." Pinkie said, pointing at the map as she talked. "You'll start of here at Town Hall, and the finish line is Sweet Apple Acres. you'll both fly out of town and go over the Everfree forest and fly towards the nearby mountain, going around it, and then you will fly through Cloudsdale and it will be a straight shot to the farm. Just follow the flags and you'll be alright."

Pinkie pointed at the orange flags that were put on some of the clouds, marking the track that they would be using so they know where they were going. Pinkie's ballon then lifted off, but as it did, Spyro saw something in the middle of the track, starring at him with its claws sharpened and ready to dig into him. What he saw was a creature covered in darkness, wearing a leather cap with goggles, and leather boots with what looked like a steel tip at the toes and was fling in the middle of the track, eyeing him with a malicious grin.

"Hey dragon boy, you ok?" Rainbow Dash asked, nudging him on the side, getting his attention. "You're not gonna wig out on me now are ya? The race will be no fun if you give up now."

Spyro looked back to the track to see the creature again, but when he looked back, it was gone. He shook his head and rubbed his forehead, trying to think of why he was seeing a Heartless, but then blamed it on him seeing things due to the lump he received from his crash. But his actions only made Rainbow Dash lift an eye brow and question what was wrong with him and if he was even going to be able to race.

"Racers, on your mark!" Pinkie said, making Rainbow Dash and Spyro look at her. Spyro then positioned himself to where he can kick off the cloud and fly, making Rainbow Dash's confusion fade and do the same. "Get set." Both of the racers extended their wings, ready to take off and ready to prove who the better racer was. "GO!"

Both Spyro and Rainbow Dash kicked off at the same time, but as they flew, Spyro's bracers flew off of his forelegs, falling to the ground as they flew away. Rainbow Dash looked back and was about to tell him that his armor fell off, but didn't get a word out as the bracers hit the ground, causing a spire a dirt to shoot up into the air, causing her jaw to drop and possibly the jaws of the bystanders as the pillar of dirt shot into the air. Rainbow Dash then returned her gaze to Spyro as he was just smiling at her and then took off in a blur of purple, black and white as he suddenly became faster than she thought. She shook off her surprise and shot forward, flapping her wings as hard as she could in order to get ahead.

Back at the starting line, everyone who watched the bracers land on the ground were still in shock as they had just witnessed two pieces of armor no bigger than the foreleg of a pony just land into the earth and cause some dirt to shoot up into the air as a pillar. Rarity, Applejack, and Fluttershy were the only ones who walked up to the pieces of black and gold metal to get a better look at them. Applejack was then only one who understood what the bracers were and understood how they work as she had lifted them up, only to barely walk a few steps before collapsing from the extreme weight they produce.

"Goodness gracious me." Rarity said. "How heavy are these things? And how does Spyro wear them without effort?"

"Rarity, trust me, ya'll don't wanna know." Applejack replied, walking over to the bracers and pulling gout the screen, tapping it twice like Spyro did. She then picked them up when the light between the gold and black plating went out and put them on her back, relieved that they were far lighter than when she first picked them up. "All ah can say is that feller is stronger than we believed him to be."

"Well that's definitely for certain." Rarity said, instantly returning back into her day dream. "I wonder if he has a mare friend."

Applejack shook her head in disbelief, but then her thoughts turned to the hybrid and how strong he was, instantly blushing at the thought of him and tried to pull her hat down to hid it. Back at the race, Spyro and Rainbow dash had just left town and were following the flags to where they needed to go with Spyro leading the race with Rainbow Dash close behind and soon catching up, equaling the speed he was at the current moment.

"Dude, what was with those bracers!?" Rainbow Dash asked, curious about them and a little suspicious of him. "Those things hit the ground and a whole column of dirt shot up into the air."

"That's how I train." Spyro replied, looking over to his opponent. "They increase the gravitational pull that affects my body, maximizing the resistance my body gets to deal with, increasing my overall strength and mobility."

"Huh?" Rainbow Dash said exclaimed, confused by what he just said. "Dude, I don't speak geek. Explain in a fashion I can understand."

"It means that they make my body heavier based on the setting they are on." Spyro responded. "They increase how heavy my body is so that I can build up muscle and to get faster."

"Well why didn't you say that in the first place?" Rainbow Dash asked, clearly annoyed by his previous explanation. "Would have been a whole lot easier for me to understand it like that."

"Because I find it kinda fun to mess with ya." Spyro replied, speeding off and leaving her behind.

Rainbow Dash smiled to herself and shot forward with everything she got, catching up with Spyro in an instant. Mean while, Pinkie was piloting her balloon, following the two racers while also keeping pace with them, commenting on their progress back to the ponies in Ponyville. But as they reached the Everfree Forest, a place that looked to be covered in thorns and bramble that would block anyone path, Spyro sensed the disturbance again, but his time it wasn't a chill like that last three times as something in his mind was telling him to watch out. He could then sense something below him and looked down and felt time slow down for him as he saw a swarm of Air Soldiers suddenly come from the forest towards them at rapid speed, but what really terrified him was a Battleship popped out of the trees and aimed its cannon at them as they approached.

"Watch out!" Spyro shouted, pushing Rainbow Dash out of the way as the Battleship fired its cannon, missing its mark.

He and Rainbow Dash tumbled in the air for a bit until they both landed on a nearby cloud, making it a soft landing for the both of them as they fell. In a daze, Rainbow Dash sat up and looked around, thinking that he pushed her on purpose to win the race, but felt something poke her on the flank and looked down to see Spyro underneath her.

"What the hey was that for!?" She shouted, annoyed and angry, getting off him. "Are you trying to cheat your way to a quick win?"

"No. No I'm not." Spyro replied, getting up from the could. "Didn't you hear that loud bang earlier?"

She paused for a moment, trying to understand what he meant, but then her face changed from annoyed to shocked as she did remember hearing something like that and saw something fiery passing them as they tumbled. After remembering that, they heard another bang coming from her left, so both looked to see another fireball come for them. Too scared to move,Rainbow Dash closed her eyes as she waited for the impact, but opened them a second later as she didn't feel anything, just to see Spyro in front of her, using his wings to block the attack. She then looked to see what was attacking them to see a ship with two big cannons on either side with a giant sail that had a black heart with a red X going through it and two propellers, one above the sail and the other behind it.

"What is that thing?" She asked, pointing at the Battleship only for the Air Soldiers to descend around them, cutting off a majority of their escape routes. "And what are those!?"

"No time for answers." Spyro said. A second later, a flash of light appeared and his Keyblade appeared next to him, surprising Rainbow Dash as she saw the weapon and causing the Heartless to back away, shaking in anger at the sight of the appearance of the Keyblade. "As soon as they charge, get out of here and don't look back."

"What do you mean by as soon as they charge?" Rainbow Dash asked.

He didn't give an answer as as he took a battle stance, blade hovering in front of him, and kept an eye on the enemy in front of him, but also making sure he was between them and Rainbow Dash as he wanted to protect her. He lowered his body, ready to react at a moments notice when they made a move while also keeping his senses up for when they attacked from behind. A second later, two of the Air Soldiers to his right charted and with a single swipe, dispatching them in a single strike, creating an opening.

"There, go!" Spyro shouted to Rainbow Dash. "Get out of here and don't look back!"

After he said that, three more Heartless flew at him and he took off going to meet them in battle while the rest put their focus on oh Spyro, ignoring Rainbow Dash. Not wasting any time, she took off away from the fight, heading straight for Ponyville to warn everyone, but stopped after she flew a third of the way and turned to look back to Spyro, watching as he fought off those creatures, but also saw that more of them appeared to replace the ones that were destroyed, seeing pink hearts fly into the air and disappear a second later. She felt conflicted at that moment as she wanted to warn everypony in Ponyville about the monsters that came from the Everfree and get the royal guard to handle them, but Spyro might perish before they arrived or to go back and save him, but risk her own life to save a total stranger. She grew aggravated and started rubbing her head profusely and in anger, trying to figure out what to do until she heard a large explosion back at the battle site, looking back to see at least half a dozen hearts fly into the air.

"I know I'm gonna regret this." Rainbow Dash said, turning around and flying towards the fight to help.

At the battle site, Spyro was twisting and spinning around in the air, striking Heartless left and right while using the Force to get a hold of the incoming cannonballs and send them into groups of Air Soldiers, destroying them with their own ammo. But with each Heartless he dispatched, more took its place and soon he was surrounded by dozens of Air Soldiers and at least three Battleships pointing their cannons at him. He was breathing heavily and knew that he would need to use his other abilities to get the upper hand. But before he could call on the power he needed, he heard a battle cry, causing him look around to find where it was coming from as he knew Air Soldiers and Battleships don't make battle cries, but when he found the source, his eyes widened and his pupils, though slits like a dragons, shrunk as he saw Rainbow Dash just charge straight at the Heartless at break neck speed.

He watched as she ran into the Battleship on his left, hitting it hard enough to make it spin around and blast the third Battleship, causing it to be destroyed while the one Rainbow Dash hit lost control and crash landed into the ground, finishing it off. He watched as she pulled up and hit an Air Soldier, pushing it through a few more before kicking it into the nearest cloud, releasing its heart and causing the three others to do the same.

"Rainbow Dash are you insane!" Spyro yelled. "I told you to get out of here and not to look back!"

"Yeah, well, can't leave my friends hanging now can I?" She said, smiling and crossing her forelegs. "Besides, how the hay could I live with myself if I let one of my friends die on me?"

He was surprised that she was loyal enough to come back and save a friend when they were in need, but to risk her life for someone she doesn't even know, that was commendable to him as a warrior brave enough to laugh in the face of danger and a fool who throws their life away needlessly. before he could do anything, he saw the last Battleship change its target from him to Rainbow Dash, who also saw the cannon getting ready to fire. As it did, Rainbow Dash flew down and avoided the attack, only to have multiple Air Soldiers come after her, but with her speed, she out flew them and ran through more of them, dispatching them.

Spyro smiled, pleased to see that he might not have to babysit her after all. he then took off and charged the Heartless again, swiping and slashing several of them at a time before heading straight for the Battleship. He looked over to see his friend just bulldozing through every Heartless that got in her way and headed for the same place he was, meeting up on either side of the Heartless war machine, the pilot looking to either side as the two ponies leered at him.

"You want the honors Ms. Dash?" Spyro asked.

"Bah, he's all yours." She replied. "And don't call me miss. Either call me by my full name or by Rainbow or RD, it's your choice."

He smiled and nodded, agreeing. He then raised his Keyblade and swung it against the mast, knocking it off and then the cannons, destroying it and the entire heartless. Without their heavy hitters, the Air Soldiers were all that's left, but there were still a lot of them and there was one thing that could do the trick. But the remaining Heartless were closing in, he instinctively, flew around and put his back against Rainbow Dashes, making it difficult for them to flank them.

"Well, that's the big guys gone." Rainbow Dash said. "What about the small fries?"

"Well, I have one idea." Spyro said. "But it will take all of my energy to do so and I'm gonna need some room."

"Well whatever you're gonna do, do it now." She said, knocking another down. "Because I don't know if I can keep up with all this fighting."

Rainbow Dash flew away from him, defeating another Air Soldier and turning, only to see Spyro had his eyes closed and had over a dozen of the heartless flying at him. She was about to charge in, but a sphere of light appeared around him and a second later, shattered, sounding like glass shattering. But as it did, a large cloud was released and bolts of lightning shot out and nailed one, spreading out to hit several more a smaller individual bolts. Several more did the same thing until the cloud disappeared and Spyro could be seen again, but he wasn't wearing his purple jacket anymore, but instead it was yellow with blue lightning patterns along the sleeve, the onyx and diamond colors changed from black and white to blue and purple. Along his wings, a yellow thunderbolt pattern was arcing across the entire surface of the wing and on his head was a gold circlet with three sapphires embedded in it.

Rainbow Dash's jaw dropped when she saw him in a change of clothing and emitting electricity from his body as every time a Heartless got too close, it got vaporized instantly. She watched as Spyro charged in, but his Keyblade was hovering around him and he wasn't using his magic to hold it as it just shot bolt of electricity out of the tip hitting the heartless. She also saw him shoot bolts of lightning from his hooves, his wings, and even breathing it out of him muzzle, electrocuting groups upon groups of heartless no matter how far away or how many. But a second later, he hovered high into the sky and storm clouds formed overhead, multiple bolts being expelled, hitting everything that it touched as lightning bolts shot down on top of Spyro, but not hitting him, instead began orbiting around him, forming a ball of lightning around him.

"Rainbow! Might wanna get oughta here!" Spyro shouted. "Because this one's gonna evaporate everything in its path!"

Without waiting a moment longer, Rainbow Dash shot out of the area and only stopped at the first could she could find, landing and looking back at the swarm of monsters as lightning kept shooting out and at the individual creature. However, she was wondering what he meant that it was gonna evaporate everything until she looked up and saw a massive storm cloud that had an anvil head at the very top. She only saw those kinds of clouds once and it was something she didn't want to remember, but a moment later, a massive thunderbolt shot down into the sphere of Heartless and a shock wave of electricity spread out, electrocuting everything in one go. As everything cleared up, all Rainbow Dash could see was Spyro hovering in the air, electricity was coming off his body and he was panting heavily. She flew down to him, laughing her flank off and smiling her biggest smile.

"Yo, Spyro, that was totally awesome!" She said, hovering in front of him as the electrical aura vanished. "Why didn't you do that in the first place? Would have been much quicker than just fighting than all at once." But Spyro didn't answer as his Drive ran out of juice and was having a hard time keeping his eyes open, even flapping his wings seemed to be sluggish as he was barely able to stay in the air, which Rainbow Dash noticed, worrying her. "Hey, you ok there storm rod? You don't look so good."

Before she could ask if he needed anything, he started plummeting head first towards the ground quickly as exhaustion took over, causing him to become unconscious. The last thing he saw before fully passing out Was Rainbow Dash swooping down towards him as he fell, catching him on her back.
