Chapter 50: The Return of Harmony Part 3: Power of Hyper
Everyone was staring at Spyro, his enemies shocked and terrified, feeling all the power he has inside of him as he had taken on a new form they were not familiar with while his friends were extremely happy that he was alive and well, looking much better than he was before. May got off of the ground and called her Keyblade, she, Ansem, and Xemnas moved to surround him, taking a triangular formation to try and hit him on all sides, charging at him to hit him with blasts of dark magic, lasers and the Keyblade, but in an instant, he vanished and the attacks instead hit May, sending her flying into a nearby tree with birds chirping around her head. Xemnas and Ansem looked around, trying to find where he went, but Xemnas was suddenly hit in the gut be an unknown force, gasping in surprise and agony before having his head slammed into the ground, dazing him as he laid face first in the ground. Spyro then turned to Ansem, seeing the surprised look on his face before leaping at him, Keyblade in hand and a smirk on his face.
"Come Guardian!" He shouted.
The guardian he was referring to looked like a buffer, more intimidating version of the Neo-Shadow with bandages over his body and over his mouth, appearing in front of Ansem and extending his arms to block any incoming attacks, but Spyro was too quick, moving behind Ansem in a heartbeat before he kicked him in the gut, knocking the breath out of him and sending him into the air. He then leapt up and vanished again, moving so fast the eye couldn't keep up as he suddenly reappeared on the ground, nothing happening at first, but a second later, Ansem was hit with all kinds of strikes and slashes, his body having multiple gashes and wounds before being hit back into the ground, leaving a crater as he landed hard on the ground. Xemnas then got up and released tendrils of energy to hit him, disappearing and reappearing somewhere else with two lasers in the palm of his hands, but Spyro just dodged the attacks, each and every time he disappeared and reappeared from the void, Spyro dodged his attacks, moving with speed that couldn't be matched until he turned his hooves into paws, grabbing Xemnas by the leg and swinging him around, Hulk smashing him into the ground Like he was Loki and tossing him into Ansem as he got up, knocking the two of them down again.
May then got up and rushed over to him, their Keyblades locking, but Spyro just disappeared and appeared above her, kicking her in the jaw into the air and releasing multiple bolts of white lightning towards her, the bolts piercing through her torso as they shot into the sky, everyone coming up of their hiding spots to see the battle unfolding, watching as May fell to the ground, still alive, but a little toasty. A second later, Spyro dodged a laser like it was the Matrix, turning to look at Xemnas as he conjured multiple lasers and sent them straight at Spyro, which he dodged and deflected, moving with incredible speed as he moved from one spot to the next, appearing like he was teleporting until he got in front of Xemnas, slashing at him before punching him into the nearby building, which fell like a cardboard cut out, but was dazed.
"Such... power." Ansem said, getting Spyro's attention. "It's... nothing I've felt before. How?"
"A little something I picked up after evolving." Spyro replied, raising his Keyblade. "It's called Hyper!"
Ansem blocked the Keyblade strike, but was then Force pushed away and then pulled back, being struck in the gut with the Keyblade and leaving a deep gash, dark magic pouring out of the wound as he gasp in pain, trying to get up but collapsing to the ground.
"Enough!" Xemnas shouted, flying into the air.
When he was high enough in the air, all light in the world disappeared, plunging the whole area into darkness, but then light did return in the form of thousands of lasers pointing straight at Spyro, which he wasn't worried about, the first set flying at him, but he just dodged them, folllwed by another set and another until a whole storm of lasers came at him, knowing he couldn't dodge all of the, he called a second Keyblade and spun both of them around, deflected and blocking the lasers from every Xemnas sent them from before disappearing from the dome and reappearing behind him, back hoofing him through the air before using his Keyblade and striking him in the gut, falling to the ground and landing in a crater like Ansem did earlier. May was still on the ground, just waking up from her daze as she shook her head and saw Xemnas slamming into the ground before getting up and jumping at Spyro, gliding through the air as she yelled out her battle cry, winding up her attack, but when she swung, Spyro disappeared again and making her miss, looking around to see where he went, but saw an incoming fireball, not having enough time to dodge, took the full blast and dropped to the ground.
On the ground, Spyro's friends and Discord were watching everything unfold, Discord with opera glasses as he was enjoying the chaos and carnage coming from the battle as all three tried to attack Spyro, but failing to land a single good hit, Spyro dodging everything while striking back, not having any trouble taking all three of them one at once.
"Oh my, this is quite spectacle!" Discord said, watching the fight. "It seems Spyro has transformed into Hyper Spyro!"
"Hyper?" Twilight asked. "What's that?"
"Eh, I've only heard of it." Discord replied. "Apparently it's far more powerful than Super. Unlocks a new kind of strength and speed unmatched by anything else."
As he talked, May flew down from the sky and crash landed on the ground, skidding across the earth until she stopped right in front of the Mane Six, groaning in pain as there were multiple burns and cut marks all over her, struggling to get up as she looked to Discord.
"Help us you sorry excuse for a Chaos being!" She shouted, collapsing to the ground.
"If that's the best you can do to insult me, it was rather poor." Discord said. "But I'm growing quite tiresome of this fight, so..." He snapped his fingers, Ansem and Xemnas in the air thanks to their magic, seeing a red aura surround Spyro as it tried to weaken him, but instead the aura turned multicolored, shattering and breaking the spell before Discord could even finish it. "What!? That should have weakened him!"
A moment later, both Ansem and Xemnas flew towards the draconequus, Discord teleporting out of the way as the two of them crashed into his throne, destroying it and landing right on top of May. Discord reappeared back where his throne use to be, glaring at Spyro as he levitated down with both his Keyblades in hand, smirking at the deity and at his enemy.
"He's... too... powerful." Ansem said, shakily getting up as dark energy spilled out of him, breathing heavily. "We must... retreat."
"Agreed." Xemnas said.
A corridor opened up behind them and in front of the Mane Six as both the Nobody and the Heartless rushed through it, escaping the battle field as May was getting up, coughing as she did.
"Cowards!" She shouted, shakily getting up. "I'll kill him myself."
She got up and was about to charge, but Twilight smacked her in the head with her Keyblade, knocking her out as Spyro set down onthe ground in front of them, smiling as he stared at them. Everyone was so happy to see that he was alright, Twilight being the first to rush up to him and hug him, her face in his chest as she cried tears of joy, followed by everyone else as they rushed up, dropping their Keyblades, all of them crying tears of joy as they got together in a group hug, happy that he was alright.
"Spyro... you..." Twilight tried to say, but lost her words as she was crying, pushing away and hitting him in the chest in frustration. "Why did you do that, you big jerk!? I really thought you had died! We all thought you were dead!"
"Sorry to have worried you my little shining light." Spyro said, pulling her in for a hug, which she calmed down and cried. "I didn't want you girls to get hurt. I mean, I am your herd leader after all, so it's my job to protect you girls."
"Well, this has been amusing and all..." Discord said, tossing away the Opera glasses and smiling at him. "But I believe it's time we ended this."
"I couldn't agree more." Spyro replied, turning to face Discord. "Girls, with me."
The girls walked up behind Spyro, wondering what he had in mind until they felt a familiar feeling in their chests and looked down, finding the light shining from their chests as they smiled, realizing he was going to use a drive, but this one felt completely different, it felt more like when they use the Elements of Harmony. Discord snapped his fingers and immediately a twister of fire appeared, rushing towards them as it intended to destroy them, but before it could reach them, the dome of light appeared around all seven of them, deflecting the flaming twister and scattering it as the dome shattered, but instead of a purple dragon this time it was a white dragon that shot in the air, roaring out as the ethereal ponies ran up around it, circling it at the same time as more Heartless and Nobodies appeared to provide support. When all seven of them collided, a burst of multicolored lights shined out, scorching many of the Heartless and destroying them as the Nobodies seemed shelter, hiding underneath whatever they could find to avoid the scorching light.
Discord covered his eyes so he wouldn't go blind from the light, but then looked up after they adjusted, seeing Spyro still in his Hyper form, but his mane was as long as Fluttershy's, but it started to shift between the colors of the Elements of Harmony as well as his jacket, his four wings taking the form of Pegasus wings as two horns grew on his forehead. A moment later, he reached his foreleg out and grabbed Applejacks hat, putting it on his head and smiling as the six Keyblades he usually got from the fusion drives appeared, but instead of taking them in his magic, they flew behind his back and spun around in a circle, the guards almost connecting to them while the blades were pointing outwards as they kept spinning in a circle. He then raised his hoof up and the six Elements of harmony appeared, orbiting his body as a golden Keyblade with a cloud pattern for the blade portion of the weapon, empty sections appearing on it as Twilight's crown was used for the teeth of it appeared in his hoof, the elements flying up to the weapon and integrated themselves into the empty slots in the blade. At the tip was Honest, followed by Kindness, Laughter, Generosity in the center of the guard, Loyalty below the hilt, and Magic at the end of the golden keychain, the guard in the shape of the four wings on his back and the handle was the two horns on his head.
When he opened his eyes, his eyes had all the colors from all seven of them, Royal purple, dark purple, magenta, blue, cyan, aqua, and emerald green, smiling down at Discord as he pointed his blade at him.
"So you have another drive, big deal." Discord said, snapping his fingers, calling dark clouds above Spyro. "You can't defeat chaos with friendship."
The clouds released dark lightning towards Spyro, but multiple purple diamond appeared around him, blocking the attack and moving them to face Discord, releasing meteors towards the deity of chaos, which he snapped his fingers and turning them into soft pillows, laughing as he didn't feel a thing, but then gasped in pain, being knocked off the stage and onto the ground, looking up, but failing to have noticed the Elements of Harmony glowing on the Keyblade. Generosity and Loyalty were glowing as it gave him advanced speed and precision, but then stopped glowing as Honesty and Luaghter started to glow, looking up to see multiple party cannons flying above him, firing apple pies at Discord, which he snapped his fingers again to make them disappear, but ended up getting his tail grabbed and dragged into the air and tossed up, the cannons firing more pies on him and covering him in pastry goodness, being covered in apple pie before falling to the ground.
"I'm not afraid of you." Discord said, getting up. "After all, I have my own friends."
The Nobodies and Heartless came out of hiding, surrounding Spyro in multiple waves of enemies, but he just smiled, not fearing what kind of enemy he sent his way. As the Heartless charged at him, he swung and sliced through multiple Heartless at a time, the blades behind them also assisting in slashing through the heartless behind and around him, Nobodies occasionally moving in to attack, but Spyro's swings were too powerful, destroying multiples at a time while also leaping and jumping around, dodging attacks while also using some of the Heartless as weapons, destroying more of them as each wave went by, effortlessly going through them. As the last of the Heartless and Nobodies were taken care of, Discord tried to mimic some of the weapons members of Organization XIII Would use, snapping his fingers in anger as he got the Claymore, but before he could go berserk, Spyro knocked the weapon out of Discords hands, surprising him as it disappeared into light.
"Nice try." Spyro said. "But mimicking other weapons, seems you aren't as powerful as I was lead to believe."
"I am the lord of all chaos!" Discord shouted, lightning shooting from the sky. "I can do whatever I want!"
"Yeah, there's a problem with such thinking like that." Spyro said, appearing in front of Discord and punching him in the gut, sending him tumbling to the ground. "You might do whatever you want, but in the end, there are something you can never do. And we'll make sure you never get to do them."
He raised his Keyblade high in the air, the other six flying off his back and stared to orbit the one he was holding as the elements all started to glow at the same time, releasing a large amount of energy, tendrils of magic coming from each element as Discord looked on in shock and horror as his eyes turned pure white, a rainbow shooting out of the tip of all the blades put together as it flew into the sky, arching downward to descended on Discord, who held up his arms and yelled out, terrified as he started to turn back to stone, a shocked expression on his face as he turned to stone. As Discord was turned to stone, the rainbow split into two separate rainbows and created a dome of light that surrounded all of Ponyville, spreading friendship and harmony through the town and restoring it and Canterlot to their original state, the chaos magic fading. Spyro then landed on the ground, dismissing the drive as he separated himself from the girls, seven lights appearing from him as everyone went back to normal, the elements still on the Mane Six and all were in awe at what they did.
"That... was... AWESOME!" Rainbow Dash shouted. "We were unstoppable!"
"You said it Rainbow Dash!" Pinkie Pie replied, bouncing up and down. "I mean, we are all, WHOOSH, SLASH, SLICE! And did you see how those party cannons hit him with a bunch of pie!? It was hysterical!"
"I'm just glad it's all over." Spyro said, still in his Hyper form. "And I'm glad all of you are back to normal."
"We're just glad you're alright darling." Rarity said, hugging him. "And what's with this new look? I thought you'd be in your Super form, not this."
"It's my Hyper form." Spyro replied, confusing them. "It's a stronger, faster form as compared to super. All sets of new abilities and powers, near invincible, but also extremely tough to activate as it requires the Chaos emerald to turn into Super Emeralds."
He closed his eyes and went back to his normal colors, but the girls were still staring at him as he still had four wings on his back and his tail also changed as it now had spines running up it and the tip looked to be a razor sharp edged blade as compared to a fin. He then raised his foreleg and twisted his hoof around, feeling a little sore and getting a feel for his new body, cracking his neck and making the girls flinch from the sound.
"Spyro, just to get the elephant out of the room..." Twilight said.
"Elephant?" Pinkie asked, looking around. "What elephant? I don't see one."
"Pinkie." Twilight said, getting her to be quiet. "Spyro, what happened to you? Why do you have four dragon wings instead of two?"
"And why do you have spines going up your tail?" Rainbow Dash asked. "You didn't have those before."
"That's the beauty of evolution." Spyro replied. "You see, when someone has reached the body's limit on how much power it can hold, the body will sometimes change, a sort of metamorphosis you might say."
"Like a butterfly in a cocoon?" Fluttershy asked.
"In a way, yes." Spyro replied. "When the evolution is complete, I acquired a new body, allowing me to use more magic and abilities I couldn't previously, even unlock new ones." He then turned to look at Discords petrified body, watching as he fell over, his shocked expression sticking after being frozen, but Spyro shook his head as he thought of something, regretting not doing it before. "You know, there was this one line I didn't think about until now. Something that would have suited this occasion."
"Oh yeah?" Rainbow Dash asked, a smile on her face. "And what's that?"
"Taste the rainbow Mother bucker!" Spyro said, everyone bursting out laughing as soon as he said it.
With Discord defeated and returned to the royal gardens in Canterlot, there was a congratulatory celebration held in Canterlot where the princess stood in front of her throne, smiling as her two students and their friends came walking down the hall, everyone from Ponyville and in Canterlot were there, standing in the grand hall as the seven of them walked down the aisle. Spyro looked over and saw the Apple family and the Cutie Mark Crusaders waving at them, nodding his head at them as they walked, then saw Twilights family, her mother and father extremely proud of their daughter, tears rolling down their cheeks. As they reached the steps to the throne, Spyro saw that Captain Shining Armor was standing at attention next to the throne, not acknowledging them, but he could sense how proud he is of his little sister and Spike, who was smiling and waving at them as they got up to the stage, looking happy.
"Mares and Gentlecolts!" Princess Celestia said. "We are gathered here today to once again honor the heroism of these seven friends, who stood up against the chaotic reign of Discord and stood against him, saving Equestria from eternal chaos.
Everyone in the crowd cheered for them, the Princess smiling as she used her magic to reveal a new mural, where Discord was surrounded by a rainbow aura, being turned to stone and underneath him was the girls, all using the elements and firing the beams into Spyro, who was in his Hyper form and with the Harmony Keyblade, firing a single beam into Discord and petrifying him. As the cheers continued, the girls all turned around and smiled to the crowd as they took in the applause and cheer, but Spyro just walked up to the princess, who lowered her head as he whispered something in her ear, which surprised her and she looked at him, nodding his head to confirm what he just said. The princess stood straight up again and cleared her throat, getting everyone in the room to be quiet and pay attention to what she has to say.
"I am thrilled and honored to be here today to congratulate my star pupils and their friends, but I believe the Prince of Light and Darkness has something to say as well." Princess Celestia said, looking down at him. "Spyro, you have the floor."
He walked up to the princess, who moved away to allow Spyro to be seen and heard, being the new center of attention.
"I won't bore you with all the speeches and all the talk, so I only have a few words to say." Spyro said, looking to the crowd. "During the battle against Discord and his allies, Ansem, Xemnas, and May, the six friends before us stood up against true darkness and true evil, showing no fear and showing true courage in the face of all else. And in the process, acquired a new power. Something that only those with the strongest hearts are able to acquire, bringing forth hope and happiness in the face of danger."
He looked down at the girls, who were nervous as he was talking about their Keyblades, but he smiled at them, nodding that it was ok for them to do it. The girls calmed themselves and call out to their Keyblades, feeling them as they called out and in an instance, the appeared in a flash of light, everyone gasping as they saw the weapons of light, the Apple family and Twilight's family shocked most of all when they saw their kin had the same weapons that Spyro has.
"Because of their dedication to each other and to their will to fight against those who would destroy their home, they acquired the Keyblade." Spyro announced, the girls holding them up in the air. "But having a Keyblade doesn't mean you're ready to become a master. That is why, from this day forth, I shall be training them myself on how to use the Keyblade and all the power that comes with them. The training will not be easy as it will be exhausting, but given time, you will become Keyblade Masters and protectors of this world, this kingdom, and kingdoms throughout." He then called his Keyblade and lowered it down, the girls doing the same, the tips of the blades barely touching as he smiled. "From this point on, your lives will be different. Everything will be different, but I know that deep down, your six have what it takes."
After the ceremony, there was a party that followed soon after, but not one of those fancy kind of parties like at the Grand Galloping Gala, which Spyro was grateful for as the gala was one of the most boring parties ever, but rather, this was more like a Pinkie Pie party as there was music, dancing, actual sweets and beverages, and games. And it wasn't just the nobles who attended, though they had their own separate party in another section of the castle close by, but everyone they knew in Ponyville were invited to it as well, hosted by the princess as eveyrone was having the time of their lives, even the girls as they conversed with their friends both from Ponyville and in Canterlot. At the buffet table, Spyro was with Twilight and the rest of his friends, having a few laughs and having a great time being around each other, some of their other friends coming to hear their conversation when the Apple family and Twilights family came towards them, wanting to be with their kin and their friends.
"And then, when it was over, he remembered a joke he forgot to say before turning Discord to stone." Rainbow Dash said, laughing. "The joke he had all lined up and forgot about was 'Taste the rainbow Mother bucker!'"
Everyone in the crowd started to laugh at it, even her friends as they had already heard it from Spyro, but it was still the funniest thing they have ever heard. Everyone disbursed after they told the story, they approached them and took a few glasses from the table, filling them with punch.
"So, our little Twiley can use this, Keyblade?" Twilight Velvet asked.
"That's right." Spyro replied. "She is now a Keyblade Bearer. A great honor for anyone to have. Though, they are going to need some training to properly use the Keyblade and the magic in it."
"How long will that be?" Shining Armor asked. "This, training?"
"Well for me, it was close to two years." Spyro replied. "And the funny thing is I'm still training."
"You are?" Shining Armor asked. "But you seem to be a fully trained warrior already."
"Training never ends." Spyro replied, taking a sip of punch. "We practice and train all the time. New techniques, new strategies, comes with the territory."
"Will Twilight be safe?" Twilight Velvet asked.
"And Applejack?" Granny Smith asked, giving him the evil eye.
"Training is perfectly safe." Spyro replied. "Only thing they got to worry about is the occasional attacks from the Heartless."
"Occasional attacks?" Twilight Velvet asked, she, Shining Armor and Granny Smith giving him the death stare.
"See, that also comes with the territory." Spyro replied. "The Keyblade is like a magnet for the Heartless. They fear the blades power as it's the only thing that permanently destroys them. So they will sometimes come and attack. But the attacks here in this world are extremely rare, so they don't have to worry about it."
"Well that's a relief." Shining Armor said, calming down. "Hey, one question. How do you get a Keyblade in the first place?"
"Well, there are two ways actually." Spyro replied, drinking more punch. "The first is if they inherited it from a former Keyblade master or someone with equivalent power, holds onto their Keyblade and the worthy candidate touches it, inheriting the power to wield one, or they get it if their heart is strong enough, bypassing the ceremony and getting one instantly."
"But Spyro, during at Donut Joe's you had your Keyblade out, right?" Twilight asked, getting their attention.
"Yeah, so?" Spyro asked, drinking more punch.
"Well, when all of us were holding hooves, I think we touched your Keyblade by accident." Twilight answered.
In the middle of swallowing the punch, Spyro froze, his eyes wide with shock and horror as he realized she was right, looking up to the two families and a very angry looking Twilight Velvet.
"You had your Keyblade out, and she touched it?" She asked, slowly approaching him. "She got a Keyblade because of you?"
"And this is where I pull a Jack Sparrow." Spyro said, gulping down his drink.
A moment later, a rope fell down, confusing everyone, but he wrapped it around his hoof and pulled another cord, a party cannon going off and the recoil sending the cannon backwards, pulling the rope and pulling him into the air and to another balcony, running for his life as Twilight Velvet ran after him, shouted she was going to skin him alive, everyone laughing as he was running for his life. After a lot of running, she did manage to catch up with him and was more than angry with him, her husband and Shining Armor having to pull her off of him so they everyone could cool off, let level heads talk and after some convincing, Spyro promised to be extra protective of Twilight Sparkle and to make sure nothing bad ever happened to her, the mother satisfied and immediately being happy and cheery again, which scared him more than anything else.
The party went on until it reached night fall, the party still going on while Spyro and the Mane Six were outside sitting on the balcony eating some Sea-salt ice cream, some sitting on the railing while others were leaning on it, enjoying the sweet and salty dessert and thinking about today. However, the silence between them was deafening, even Pinkie and Rainbow Dash were very quiet, sensing regret and sadness from what they did and said while they were corrupted.
"You know it's supposed to be a party right?" Spyro asked. "I mean, we defeated Discord, you girls got Keyblades, and yet, I'm sensing there is something on your minds."
"Sorry Spyro, we are having a good time." Rainbow Dahs said. "Heck, even when you fired that cannon and flew without your wings, that was awesome. But, we still remember what we did and said when we were corrupted."
"Especially me." Fluttershy said, hiding behind her mane. "I can't believe that I harmed you like that."
"Don't worry about it little butterfly." Spyro said, smiling at her. "I know you didn't mean it. Hakuna Matata."
"Hakuna ma-what now?" Rainbow Dash asked.
"Hakuna Matata." Spyro replied. "Something I learned from the Pride Lands. It means no worries."
"Well why didn't you just say that?" Rainbow Dash asked.
"I don't know, I think it sounds kind of fun." Pinkie said, downing her entire ice cream. "Hey, maybe I can make a song about that word."
"Too late Pinkie, a friend of mine already beat you to it." Spyro replied, the pink mare whimpering. "I'll teach it to you later."
They all stayed on the balcony, looking over the city and eating their ice cream in peace, smiling as they were all together and having the best time of their lives.
"So, when do we start training?" Twilight asked.
"Sometime this week." Spyro replied. "For now, enjoy the moment."
At that time, his bracers went off, letting him know he had an incoming call, so he pressed a button and they slid back, master Yen Sid on the screen.
"Master, what can i do for you?" Spyro asked.
"Spyro, I have gotten word from Princess Celestia that you and your friends have defeated Discord in Equestria and about your evolution" He replied. "I believe congratulations are in order."
"Hey, another day, another dollar." Spyro replied. "But something tells me this isn't a social call."
"Actually, it is." He replied, surprising him. "And a mission."
"Saw that coming." Spyro said, rolling his eyes. "What's the mission?"
"The mission is simple." He replied. "I felt there are six new Keyblade bearers in Equestria. I want you to find them and bring them to my tower so that their training can begin."
Spyro smiled, thinking how this was going to be his easiest mission ever, which Yen Sid noticed him smile and raised an eye brow.
"Is there something you wish to say?" He asked.
"No sir, not at all." Spyro responded, putting on a serious face. "I already know where they are. Saw them use their Keyblades. Shall I bring them to you immediately?"
"The sooner the better." Yen Sid replied. "I would like to meet them."
"Right away sir." Spyro replied, ending the message and turning to his friends. "Seems Master Yen Sid would like to meet you girls."
"Aw yeah!" Rainbow Dash said, pumping her hoof in the air. "We get to meet your master at long last!"
"Yeah, a great way to end the day." Spyro said, taking a bite from his ice cream. "We will be leaving in the morning. Any appointment you might have or any projects, put them on hold. Because tomorrow, you will meet my teacher and friend, Master Yen Sid. But for tonight, enjoy yourselves."
The girls then went back into the party, leaving Spyro alone on the balcony as he looked up to the stars, both worried and pleased that his friends can now defend themselves against his enemies, but he still didn't like the idea of the girls having a Keyblade and putting themselves in the line of fire, but they need to learn how to protect themselves and how to use the blades. Princess Celestia then walked out of the party and to the balcony where Spyro was, walking up to the railing and over looking the city as she smiled.
"To learn my star pupil and her friends have Keyblades, that was a surprise." Princess Celestia said. "I bet Twilight Sparkle's mother wasn't happy."
"That's no joke." Spyro replied. "She was ready to skin me and make me into a pair of leather boots." The princess giggled at the remark, looking out into the city when Spyro took a deep breath, hoping the princess wouldn't freak out. "Mater Yen Sid called. He found out there are six new Keyblade bearers here. He wants to meet them."
"Why would he want to meet them?" Princess Celestia asked.
"To behind their training." Spyro replied, surprising her. "He'll give them an introduction and will want someone to begin their training immediately."
"Will he let them train here?" Princess Celestia asked.
"Probably." Spyro replied, not filling her with confidence. "I'll tell him I will train them here in Equestria, that way they will be in a familiar environment and they will be close to their other friends."
"Whatever you do, please promise me you will keep them safe." Princess Celestia asked. "I don't want anything to happen to them."
"I promise, they'll be safe." Spyro said, reassuring her. "Nothing bad will happen to them. I give you my word."
The princess smiled and then bowed to him, returning to the party and to her guests, having a great time while Spyro stayed outside, looking out into the night sky before returning to the party to enjoy himself, playing some of the party games that Pinkie had brought out and even conversing with some of the nobles who decided to come over and see how a real party should be, actually having a blast before the room got filled up. As the evening went on, everyone got tired and started to head home, taking carriages or flying home after a full day and bight of partying, obviously tired, but having had a great day to unwind after everything that has happened. At home, Spyro was putting Scootaloo and Apple Bloom to bed, telling them they would be gone for a little while, but would be back when they had finished their business in another world they would be back. After putting them to bed, he started to walk to his room, but stopped in front of Applejacks room, finding the door was cracked open and pushed it open, finding the farm mare was looking at her Keyblade, sensing mixed feelings and emotions about everything that has happened to her, so he walked over to her, sitting on her bed and wrapping his wing around her.
"Hey, don't worry about it." Spyro said. "I've been through this phase before. You'll be great."
"But what if this is a life Ah don't want?" She asked, still staring at her Keyblade. "Ah mean, Ah want to protect mah kin from them monsters, but what if Ah'm not cut out for it?"
"AJ, the Keyblade wouldn't be with you if you weren't cut out for the job." Spyro replied, pulling her in. "Your heart is one of the strongest hearts I have ever seen. Trust me, I thought the same thing you did when I first started out. As time went on, I got to understand a bit more about myself, make new friends, even kick a bit of butt." The two of the giggled and chuckled at that, lightening the mood. "Don't worry, you'll be great. I know it."
Applejack smiled at Spyro, leaned into him and the two of them kissed each other, allowing themselves the moment of happiness to wash over them as they lied down on the bed together, closing their eyes as they drifted off to sleep. Back in the temple where Malefors statue was, May was walking into the throne room holding her shoulder as she was badly injured despite not being in the battle all that much, but the damage she received was still a lot and she didn't want to push her limits further than they already were, kneeling before the statue as it lit up, her master contacting her.
"My master, the prince still lives." She said, nervous about her report. "Our allies aided us in defeating him, but he has only grown stronger. He has evolved."
"I know." He said, surprising her. "I felt a change in the winds of magic, a dragon evolving is not something they can hide so easily. And neither is the appearance of certain, enemies."
"It is true, his friends have Keyblades now." May said, continuing her report. "But they don't know how to use them yet, so I can take an army of Grublins to Equestria and-"
"SILENCE!" Malefor shouted, interrupting her. "That world is too close to the light. I can barely get you there, let alone an army. You need to attack them while they are not in that world."
"And knowing my old master, he'll have reached out to Spyro by now and called him." May said, standing up. "He'll be wanting to meet the new Keyblade bearers to begin their training."
"While they are in transit, take a fleet with you and destroy them." Malefor said. "We cannot allow the enemy more allies than they already have. Destroy them and bring me their keys."
"It shall be done my lord." May replied, bowing to the statue.
She then turned around and walked to the next room, hoping to get some strength back in her after she takes a bath and a nice dip in some dark magic to replenish her strength. As she walked out, Malefor started to laugh, his laughter echoing throughout the whole temple as his statue went dark, becoming dormant again as he planned his next move.
