Chapter 108: Heart of Honey Part 2: Bouncing and Hopping
Twilight had just gotten out of the pop up with the tall Honey tree and was looking around, finding the next pop up , walking over to it and reaching out as a light pulled her into the next scene, a blinding light engulfing her as she entered into the next area, finding it to be fields of planted vegetables having fully grown and ready to be harvested. As she walked down the path, she got a better look at some of the crops that were ready, some of them were carrots, some cabbages, a few head of cauliflower and more, which she heard her own stomach rumble as she was getting hungry, so she approached the tree, which had a door to it and knocked, the door opening to reveal Jacob was already there and was happy to see her.
"Twilight!" Jacob claimed happily. "You finally made it!"
"Yeah, kinda lost you on my way here." Twilight said, looking over his shoulder to see a rabbit there setting up some utensils and plates. "And I'm guessing you're Rabbit?"
"You'd be right little pony." Rabbit said, bringing over a salad to the table. "Jacob told me you might be coming, so I prepared us some lunch. Would you like to join us for lunch?"
They then heard her stomach growling, causing the unicorn to blush from embarrassment and give a nervous smile.
"Well, I do feel a little hungry." Twilight said.
"Then come on in." Rabbit said. "Plenty for all of us."
Twilight smiled and walked in, closing the door behind her so she could enjoy a meal with her new friends. In Merlins house, Cadence was looking in the book while Shining Armor was pacing back and forth, clearly anxious about when his sister would be back or if she was safe in the book, walking over to see what was going on.
"How's she doing?" Shining Armor asked. "Is she ok?"
"For the third time Shining, she's fine." Cadence replied. "She just entered the house of someone called Rabbit and it enjoying some lunch." They then heard her stomach growl, everyone smirking at her. "And I guess I need some food as well."
"I can get it for you." Shining Armor said.
"Unless you got Munni, you might not be able to afford much." Cid said.
"I got bits, so it should be fine." Shining Armor said.
"Your currency won't work here." Cid said, pulling out a handful of gold orbs. "These yellowish gold orbs are called Munni. Spelled M-U-N-N-I. Without these, you are fresh out of luck."
"Not to worry, we're back." May said, bringing over a bag full of food for them. The bag had fruits and vegetables for the ponies to eat while some meat for the humans. "Got plenty of food to last us for the day."
"Oh, thanks May." Shining Armor said, walking over and using his magic to take the bag, bringing some of the fruit for them to enjoy. "Twiley just entered a house and is enjoying a meal with a rabbit and the human kid Jacob."
"A rabbit!?" Fluttershy asked excitedly.
"Yes, and there's also a yellow bear named Pooh and a small piglet as well." Cadence said, taking a bite out of the apple. "She's having lunch just like we are and she seems to be happy as well. Haven't seen her this happy in a while."
"Well at least she's smiling!" Pinkie said, bouncing over. "It's great to see her turn that frown upside down!"
She then twisted her neck to turn her head upside down, causing Leon to choke on his food for a moment before gasping for air.
"How are you doing that?" Leon asked, Pinkie looking at him while her head was still upside down. "Are your bones made of rubber or something?"
"Buddy, trying to understand her is like trying to understand Spyro's Force abilities." Applejack said, devouring an apple whole. "The more ya try, the more yer gonna loose yer mind trying."
"Right." Leon said, looking to the book, which the fillies were running around playing, knocking a few things over. "Hey, knock it off. This ain't a playground."
"Ah, let them run around Leon." Aerith said. "It's good for them to unwind after all that's happening."
"Still, this is not a playground." Leon said. "If they wanna play, they should do so outside where they have more room."
"Good idea." Fluttershy said.
The ponies minus Cadence and Shining Armor went outside to get some fresh air and to explore around, get to know the place better as the humans remained in the house, closing the door behind them as they walked over to the computer to check on something, but Merlin walked over to Cadence and Shining Armor.
"I take it you're very fond of the purple unicorn." Merlin said.
"She's my sister." Shining Armor said. "I'd do anything to protect her and my fiancé."
"Oh, you're getting married!?" Aerith asked excitedly. "To who?"
"To me." Cadence replied, the two of them rubbing their noses.
"Oh, how sweet." Aerith said.
"Congrats man." Cid said. "You're lucky to be engaged to a princess."
"More like one of those sappy fairy tale stories to me." Yuffie said.
"Yuffie!" Aerith exclaimed, the ninja shrugging her shoulders.
Cid and Leon both laughed at the two girls, everyone soon joining in on the laughter as Cadence returned her attention to the book to see what was going on. In rabbits house, Twilight was finishing up her plate of salad, enjoying the fresh grown food as the mammal was taking the plates and putting them in the sink to be washed later on.
"That was an amazing salad Rabbit." Twilight said.
"Glad you enjoyed it Twilight." Rabbit said. "I grow these vegetables myself, so I have a ready supply of food when the time comes."
They then heard a knock at the door, wondering who it was that was coming to visit, so Jacob got up and walked over, opening the door to see that it was Piglet, who looked nervous as usual.
"Oh, hey Piglet." Jacob said. "Sorry, you just missed lunch."
"Oh, that's alright." Piglet said. "I was just following Pooh here."
"You were?" Rabbit asked, instantly becoming worried. "And where is he now?"
He got his answer when they heard grunting coming from the hole in the wall behind Twilight, the unicorn mare turning around to see Pooh climbing through the hole, flopping down on the ground and rolling a bit before stopping.
"Oh, hello Rabbit, Jacob, Twilight." Pooh said.
"Pooh." Rabbit said, sounding unhappy. "I'm sorry, but I don't have any honey today."
"Besides, you ate plenty of it back at the Tall Hunny Tree." Jacob said. "How would you have the appetite to eat more?"
"Oh, it's no problem Rabbit." Pooh said. "Besides, I smell something sweet nearby. Maybe It's coming from outside. I could do with another snackerdoodle of honey."
Twilight shook her head, not believing the yellow bear was still hungry for more honey and was gong to leave, but looked up, seeing a pot of honey hidden in the rafters of the house.
"Hey, what's that?" Twilight asked, using her magic to bring the pot down.
"Oh dear, I forgot about that." Rabbit said, trying to act innocent. "Guess I did have some Honey after all. Would you care for some Pooh?"
"Oh why yes, thank you Rabbit." Pooh replied. "I guess I could eat another little morsel."
Pooh then took the pot of honey and started to gobble it all down, scooping up paw fulls at a time eating the honey, much to their disappointment as the glutinous bear downed every drop of honey that was in the pot, shaking it to see if there was anymore, but there was none.
"Oh dear, there goes all my honey." Rabbit said. "Now I'll need to get some more."
"We can help you with that." Twilight said. "It's kinda my fault your honey got eaten by Pooh, so it makes sense for me to help you get some more."
"Oh, thank you Twilight, that's very thoughtful of you." Rabbit said, looking to Pooh and his eyes widening with horror. "Pooh no!"
They all looked over to the wall that the little bear crawled through to get in, finding he was now stuck in the hole, much to Jacob's and Rabbits dismay.
"Not again Pooh." Jacob said.
"Again?" Twilight asked.
"Every time he eats Rabbits honey and tries to climb through the hole, he gets stuck." Jacob replied. "Come on, let's get him out, again."
He and twilight went outside while Rabbit and Piglet stayed inside, letting the two of them to get out there and give the signal, Jacob and twilight pulling as hard as they could to try and get the stuck yellow bear out of the hole, but try as hard as they might, they couldn't get the stuffed bear out of the hole.
"It's no good!" Twilight said, giving up as she breathed heavily as did Jacob. "He's stuck in there pretty good. No way we can get him out without digging this hole out."
"Well I for one wouldn't like that." Rabbit said, walking up. "But I think I have a solution to our predicament."
"What is it?" Twilight asked.
"Carrot juice again?" Jacob asked.
"Yep, works every time." Rabbit said. "Jacob, Twilight, if you could, could you... OH NO!"
They all looked to see what Rabbit was freaking out about, seeing a tiger bouncing on his tail towards them, Jacob looking just as spooked as Rabbit did.
"Oh no, it's Tigger." Jacob said.
"Who?" Twilight asked, getting tackled by the bouncing tiger.
"Why hello there!" Tigger said. "I'm Tigger! T-I- double Geh-er! That spells Tigger!"
"Nice to meet you." Twilight said, getting up. "I'm Twilight Sparkle. But my friends call me Twilight."
"Well Twilight, it's nice to meet you!" Tigger said. "Say, do you like bouncing?"
"Bouncing?" Twilight asked.
"Yes, bouncing!" Tigger said, bouncing around. "Bouncing is a long of fun!"
He then started bouncing in the direction of the carrot field, which he ended up burying one of them horrifying everyone.
"Oh dear!" Piglet said. "He's destroying the carrots!"
"Tigger, stop!" Rabbit said, which the bouncing tiger ignored him. "Goodness, if Tigger bury's all the carrots, we'll never get Pooh out of my house."
"What do we do then?" Twilight asked.
"Hey, I got it!" Jacob said. "We bounce him away from the carrots."
"How?" Twilight asked.
"Follow his shadow and get to where he's going to land before he does land." Jacob replied. "We gotta give rabbits time to collect all the carrots he can."
Both Jacob and Twilight ran to the carrot field and got ready for Tigger to begin bouncing around, each ready to repel the bouncing Tigger away from the carrots while Rabbit got to work pulling out the first one. In a matter of seconds, Tigger bounced to the first carrot, which was closest to Twilight, so she ran to the shadow and leapt up, bouncing the tiger off herself and back onto the side line, Tigger actually laughing as he was enjoying himself as he returned to the side, bouncing again, but this time Jacob was closest to the carrot, so he ran up and bounced Tigger back to the side, the bouncing tiger laughing again. After a few more times, Jacob also started to laugh, enjoying himself as he fell down, got dirty and was having an overall good time, which Twilight couldn't help but join in the laughter, also having fun as she got dirty, feeling free and alive for the first time in her whole life, not having a care in the world except for keeping Tigger from burying the carrots, which they turned into a game as they kept on laughing.
After a few more minutes, Rabbit got all the carrots he needed to make the juice and looked up, seeing that Jacob and Twilight were breathing heavily as Tigger kept bouncing around, laughing and giggling as he bounced.
"Say, you're real good at keeping up with me!" Tigger said, bouncing next to Twilight. "Maybe next time, you could bounce along with me in my bouncing spot!"
"Maybe later Tigger." Jacob said. "We first need to get Pooh out of Rabbits home, then we'll see about doing to the bouncing spot."
"And... done!" Rabbit announced, bringing a glass of carrot juice to Pooh. "Alright everyone, let's try this again."
Everyone went over to Pooh again, this time everyone grabbed hold of the stuck yellow bear and all pulled at the same time, pulling as hard as they could before Pooh went catapulting out of the hole and into a pile of honey pots, this time his head was stuck as he tried to walk around with it on.
"Oh dear, who turned out the lights?" Pooh asked. "It's awfully dark in here."
"Oh brother." Jacob said, everyone laughing at the yellow bear.
They managed to get his head out of the honey pot and were all heading out, walking to the edge of the garden, but Jacob looked up to Twilight, smiling at her as he put his arms behind his head.
"So, how was your visit to Rabbits house?" Jacob asked.
"It was actually pretty fun." Twilight said. "Especially keeping Tigger from stomping on the carrots."
"You kidding?" Jacob asked. "Keeping him from stomping on the carrots is more of a chore than actual fun."
"Well, it was more like getting to run around, not have a care in the world, and get a little dirty that was the fun part." Twilight said, getting Jacob's attention. "Growing up, I was more into reading books and practicing spells. The only time I ever went out was to test some spells and read outside in the sunlight and under trees."
"Ugh, boring!" Jacob said, running up and turning, walking backwards. "You must have had some fun as a kid, away from books."
"Well, I think the only time I ever did have my nose out of the books was when I was with my foal sitter, Princess Cadence." Twilight said.
"Wait, your babysitter was a princess?" Jacob asked. "How does that work?"
"Well, she was recommended by my mentor, Princess Celestia." Twilight replied.
"And your mentor is a princess!?" Jacob asked, completely surprised. "Wow, next thing you'll tell me your boyfriend is a prince." Twilight gave a sly smile, which Jacob noticed and was completely shocked. "No way, your boyfriend's a prince!?"
"Yes... yes he is." Twilight replied, looking to her horn where the ring was. "He made this ring himself, crafting it for me personally as a way to propose to me."
"Wait, he was going to marry you?" Jacob asked. "Wow, lucky."
"And my brother is also lucky." Twilight said. "He's engaged to my old foal sitter."
"Ok, I'm done." Jacob said, raining his hands as he walked away. "I am so done with this now. Too much mushy stuff going on for my liking. You won't find me doing mushy stuff like that!"
"That's what they all say." Twilight said, walking down the path as the light enveloped her.
Outside of the book, in Merlins house, Cadence was taking a break from looking at the book, sitting her her fiancé as they laughed and enjoyed some alone time while May was looking in the book, keeping an eye on Twilight's progress.
"So, how's she doing?" Shining Armor asked.
"Well, she just got done with lunch and helped Pooh get unstuck from Rabbits hole." May said. "And... she seems to be happy and enjoying herself."
"So she's having fun in there?" Cadence asked, walking up to the book. "Kinda unusual for her actually. She usually has her nose in the books unless I was there to foal sit her."
"Well she seems to be having fun." May said, walking to a nearby chair, sitting down. "So, you're saying her entire childhood was spent in books, never outside playing with other fillies?"
"Afraid so." Shining Armor said. "She never really socialized with other ponies besides her family, the princess, and Cadence. She always wanted to study and learn magic all the time, never saving time to make friends."
"Or to just be a kid." May said, looking to the book. "How can one kid go their entire life without making friends, having fun outside, and allowing themselves to just be a kid?"
As she asked the question, Rainbow Dash and Applejack rushed in, the fillies running inside and getting everyone's attention.
"What's wrong?" Leon asked. "Why so panicked?"
"We got Heartless outside!" Rainbow Dash shouted, Zecora running in.
"I only ever saw these creatures a couple of times before, but still they scare me to my core." Zecora said.
"Stay here" Leon said, pulling out his weapon. "I'll handle this."
"Hey, we can handle ourselves you know!" Rainbow Dash exclaimed, calling her Keyblade, which surprised everyone.
"My stars, you have a Keyblade as well?" Merlin asked.
"All of us besides Zecora, the fillies, captain Armor and Princes Cadence have one." Applejack said, calling herself, surprising everyone again. "Spyro trained us to fight with them, we will help ya fight."
Without waiting for a response, Applejack and Rainbow Dash went back outside to handle the Heartless, Leon and Yuffie running behind them to give them a hand.
"Keep the book safe!" Leon exclaimed, running out.
"Don't wanna have to call Sora to find the pages again." Yuffie said, running out to help as well.
The two humans went out to see what they could do to help take care of the Heartless outside, leaving Cid, Aerith, and Merlin alone with the ponies that were brought inside for their own safety, waiting to hear from their friends when it would be safe to go outside again. Back in the book, Twilight had arrived in the next area of the book, walking down the route to see a very tall ridge with a tree on top of it, with a swing set at etched to it and saw Jacob swinging on it, looking around as if looking for something while Pooh was on the bridge, looking down at the river below, so she walked up to see what was going on.
"Hey Pooh." Twilight said.
"Oh, hello Twilight." Pooh said.
"Whatcha looking at?" Twilight asked.
"Oh, I'm looking at the water." Pooh replied. "There's a strange looking log that float by every now and then."
A moment later, Jacob walked down after getting off the swing.
"Hey Twilight!" Jacob said.
"Hey Jacob." Twilight said. "Why would Pooh say there's a strange log floating by?"
"Well, there is something gray in color that's been floating around the river." Jacob said, looking down. "I was on the swing going as high as I could to see if I could find it."
They looked down at the river again, hopping to see what it was Pooh was seeing when they spotted something colored gray floating down the stream, surprising Twilight.
"Wow, there it is." Twilight said, watching as it went by, but noticing it had legs and a head. "Wait a minute, that's not a log."
"You're right!" Jacob said excitedly. "It's Eeyore! But... what's he doing int he river?"
"Oh, hello Pooh." Eeyore said. "Hello Jacob. Could you pull me out, that is if it's not too much trouble?"
"Sure thing Eeyore." Jacob said. "Give us a minute."
Jacob, Pooh, Twilight, and Piglet, who Twilight didn't notice until just now, ran to the side of the river and waited for Eeyore to make another pass, Twilight using her magic to gently lift Eeyore out of the river and onto solid ground, shaking the water off.
"Thank you Pooh, Jacob, and... other." Eeyore said.
"You're welcome Eeyore." Jacob replied. "This is Twilight Sparkle. She's new here and we're trying to show her a good time. But Eeyore, what were you doing floating down the river?"
"Well, I was looking for something when I fell in." Eeyore replied. "I felt like I was missing something and still do."
"Oh Eeyore!" Piglet said. "Your tail is missing!"
"Eeyore, you lost your tail again?" Jacob asked.
"Again?" Twilight asked. "How often does he loose his tail? And how in all of Equestria do you loose a tail in the first place?"
"Oh, it's not a real tail." Jacob said. "It's just a pin on. Looses it just about every time."
"Well where'd you have it last?" Twilight asked.
"I don't remember." Eeyore said. "It's not much of a tail anyway, but I'm sorta attached to it. Don't know why anyone would look for it anyway. Probably never find it anyway."
"Well he's sunshine and lollipops isn't he?" Twilight asked Spyro, whispering to him.
"Eh, it's how he is." Jacob replied. "No one knows why he's like that, but what I do know is we need to find his tail, otherwise he's only going to get worse."
"And how are we going to find his tail?" Twilight asked. "We don't even know what to begin looking."
"Hey, I got it!" Jacob said. "The swing set!"
"How is swinging going to help us?" Twilight asked.
"We put Pooh on the swing set and push him as hard as we can." Jacob replied. "Once we get him high enough, he'll be able to go flying and should be able to find the tail from up above."
"Um, I'm not so sure that's exactly safe to do." Twilight said, looking to the swing. "Wouldn't he get hurt if he did that?"
"Oh don't;t worry about him." Jacob said. "We did this lots of times and it worked every time when we were looking for Eeyore's tail."
Twilight wasn't so sure this was a good idea, feeling like Pooh was just going to get hurt, but went with it as they walked up the hillside and arrived at the swing, Pooh getting on and was ready to go.
"So, how does this work?" Twilight asked.
"Simple, we just push Pooh as high as we can and he'll let go, flying over to try and find the tail." Jacob said. "But we better not push his too high, otherwise he'll fly past the trees and we'll have to wait for him to walk back to try again."
"Alright then." Twilight said.
She watched as Jacob started pushing Pooh while he was on the swing, watching him push the stuffed bear back and forth as he got higher and higher until the stuffed bear did go flying all the way past the trees, Jacob groaning as he sent him too far.
"Dang it!" Jacob shouted. "I always send Pooh too far the first time."
"That's alright." Twilight said. "We can't all be perfect."
"Yeah, but it's going to take Pooh forever to get back here!" Jacob exclaimed, crossing his arms and sitting on the ground, clearly upset.
"Hey, it's alright." Twilight said, sitting next to him. "Unlike Spyro, no one is perfect."
"Heh, your prince is perfect huh?" Jacob asked. "How?"
"Well, he's a Jedi." Twilight said, getting the young kids attention.
"No way, an actual Jedi!?" Jacob asked, stars literally sparkling in his eyes. "Can he use the Force!? Does he have a lightsaber!? What color is it!? Has he beaten any Sith or Stormtroopers!?"
"Wow, all these questions." Twilight said, smiling. "To answer them, yes, he can use the Force and he doesn't have a lightsaber. And its color is purple."
"Purple?" Jacob asked. "Never heard of a purple lightsaber before."
"Oh there are lots of different colors." Twilight said. "He told me there are blue, green, yellow..."
"Yellow!?" Jacob asked. "Yellow's my favorite color! I'd love to have a yellow lightsaber. Then no body would bully me!"
"You have that bad of a bullying problem huh?" Twilight asked, starting to grow worried for him as he brought his knees to his chest.
"Yeah, I use to." Jacob replied. "Back in my old school, there was this group of kids who'd lock me in the bathroom, pushing against the door and not letting me out no matter how much I begged, they'd throw dog poop at me, they even stole my bike once and didn't return it until my parents got the police involved."
"So... when did you move?" Twilight asked, feeling sorry for him.
"When I was six." Jacob replied. "We moved to a new home and the school there is much better than the old one. No one picked on me, stole from me, they are very nice and caring. Even the principal, who said to get me tested for something."
"Tested?" Twilight asked. "For what?"
"For something called Autism." Jacob replied, shocking Twilight. "They did and told my parents I had something Asp...er... Aspy..."
"Asperger Syndrome?" Twilight asked.
"Yeah, that's it." Jacob said. "They wanted to put me in a special school for kids like me, but my parents refused, saying I need to socialize with other kids and not be put in some special school.
Twilight's heart broke when she heard Jacob's story, reminding her of Spyro as he told her about something like that, reached her hoof to him, but he held her entire foreleg, finding comfort from her as she smiled at him, seeing Pooh was walking up to them.
"Looks like Pooh's back." Twilight said. "Let's try this again."
They both got up and helped Pooh onto the swing, Jacob about to try again, but then stopped, backing away and looking to Twilight.
"Hey, how about you give it a try Twilight." Jacob said.
"You sure?" Twilight asked.
"Of course I'm sure." Jacob replied. "I had my turn pushing Pooh, now it's your turn."
Twilight looked nervously at Pooh, wondering if she could do it, so she reached her hoof up and started pushing him, letting him swing up and down, pushing him a little harder as he reached the bottom, repeating this motion multiple times as Pooh got higher and higher until he let go, flying in the air and watching the stuffed bear fall tot he ground, hitting a pile of sticks and flinching.
"Oh dear, I hope he's ok." Twilight said.
"Ah, he'll be fine." Jacob said. "I'd be more worried about the pile os sticks. That was Eeyores house."
"What!?" Twilight exclaimed. "Why didn't you warn me about the house before I did that!?"
Twilight ran down the hill and over the bridge, followed closely by Jacob as they saw the damage done to Eeyores house, finding it completely wrecked, but in the wreckage, they found, to their surprise, his tail.
"Huh, that looks familiar." Eeyore said.
"Hey, it's your tail." Jacob said, picking it up. "Hold still, I'll put it back on."
Jacob walked up to Eeyore and started pinning his tail back onto him, Twilight walking over to Pooh, Piglet, Rabbit, and Tigger while Jacob was busy pinning the tail back on Eeyore.
"So, how long ago did Jacob arrive to the 100 Acre Wood?" Twilight asked.
"About a few days ago." Piglet answered. "Appeared out of the blue like magic."
"He's been here ever since." Rabbit said. "He plays here, bounces around with Tigger at his Bouncing Spot, he even helps me with the gardening and keeping Tigger off my vegetables. But other than that, we don't know much about him."
"Strange." Twilight said, starting to grow more and more curious about their friend.
"And... done." Jacob announced.
Eeyore then swung his tail around, testing to see how it was before looking back to Jacob.
"It's not cub of a tail, but it's mine." Eeyore said. "Thank you everybody for helping. You didn't need to do that."
"Oh, it's not a problem Eeyore." Twilight said. "We're more than happy to help. After all, we're your friends. Friends help each other."
"They sure do." Jacob said. "Come on Twilight, I wanna take you to Tiggers Bouncing spot next. You'll love it."
Before she could say anything, Jacob ran off down the route they came in order to get to the Starry Hill, Pooh and the rest of his friends running behind him as they followed while Twilight stayed where she was, knowing there was something off about Jacob, but oddly familiar about him as well as if she has heard of some of the things Jacob said to her before, walking away from the hill and following the group to Tigger's Bouncing Spot. Outside in the real world and outside of Merlins house, the ponies were fighting the Heartless that attacked and with the towns local defense system, orbs of digital light appearing on the ground and rolling into the Heartless, leaving the ponies alone while they hacked and slashed through the soldiers, summoning different attractions to help0 out, one of them being the Pirate Ship while another was Blaster Blaze, a combination of magical water waves and laser fire going everywhere, destroying the Heartless that arrived, but as they were destroyed, more arrived to take their place, prolonging the attack.
In the alley next to the house, Pete poked his head out from behind a barrel to see the fighting, watching as the ponies fought along side Leon and Yuffie, striking down the Heartless right as May ran out, summoning a pillar of water that soon turned into a hurricane, sucking up more of the Heartless and destroying them, more showing up to take their place.
"May's fighting with the Keyblade warriors again?" Pete asked himself. "Well, no matter. I got a job to do."
While the Keyblade warriors were busy with the Heartless, Pete sneaked around tot he front door, opening it to find Cid and Aerith were working on the computer while Merlin was at the book with Cadence and Shining Armor, laughing to himself as he snapped his fingers, getting their attention as Armored Knights and Bookmasters appeared.
"Pete!" Merlin said, walking up. "How did you get past the defenses?"
"You fancy little orbs were too busy with the Heartless outside to notice me!" Pete exclaimed with a laugh. "Now, be a good little wizard and hand over the book!"
"Book?" Merlin asked, gaining ignorance. "What book?"
"Don't play dumb with me old man!" Pete exclaimed. "I'm talking about the one with the Heart Piece in it!"
"You're not getting it!" Cadence exclaimed, getting next to Merlin as Shining Armor appeared next to her. "We won't allow it!"
"I'm afraid you don't have much of a choice now do you?" Pete asked, laughing. "Get them!"
The Heartless then launched themselves forward, Cadence and Shining Armor releasing a couple of magical energy beams that took out several of them at a time while the Bookmasters released a couple of spells of their own, Merlin deflecting them while everyone got out of the way of the Armored Knights as they brought their swords down, a few going after cadence and Shining Armor while the Bookmasters kept Merlin busy, allowing Pete to walk over to the desk where the book was at to look into it, finding Twilight was in there and laughed to himself as he picked it up, closing it to prevent twilight from escaping and running out the door, Cadence destroyed another knight and looking to the desk, gasping in horror as she saw it wasn't there anymore and saw Pete run out the door.
"NO!" She shouted.
She ran after Pete and used her horn to stab an Armored knight through the gut, destroying it as she flew out, looking around to see where Pete went and found him running away with the book tucked neatly underneath his arm.
"Princess, what are you doing out here!?" May asked, destroying a knight. "Get back inside, it's not safe!"
"A big cat just ran out the door with the book!" Cadence shouted back, spooking everyone.
"Wait, you mean Pete!?" Leon asked, blasting a Bookmaster. "Which way did he go!?"
"That way!" Cadence shouted, pointing in the direction Pete ran.
"Yuffie, with me!" Leon ordered. :We gotta get that book back! Princess, think you can be our eyes in the sky!?"
"Gladly!" The princess replied.
"I'm going with you!" Shining Armor said, running out the house. "My sister is still in that book, I want to help save her!"
"Alright, you're with us then." Leon said, looking up. "Rainbow Dash, once you guys are done mopping up these guys, come find us! We'll need all the help we can get to recover the book!"
"You got it!" Rainbow Dash said, dive bombing a Bookmaster.
The group of four then broke off from the fight and followed the direction that the princess was flying to, making sure they had her in their sights so they could follow her to where Pete was and where he was taking the book.
