[a/n]From #67, parseltongue as a recruiting tool is a trope? And here I thought I just originated it :{ Poor me. I thought of the Patils, but didn't want to make it too long so they got cut. Slytherin66's review is at least the 3rd time this month about not getting updates it was mentioned. The Account Settings page says "Setting will be auto reset to no/disabled after 6 months." Though it doesn't give a countdown.

Harry Does Different CDLXXXVI

Governors

"So, we know Aragog had nothing to do with those deaths decades ago." Harry summed things up after getting his friend over almost being spider-food "Maybe good ole Lucy was behind it then. Now he's here to get rid of Dumbledore. I bet he had something to do with that."

Ron tried for a Hermione expression and pointed out "Malfoy knew nothing, remember?"

"He told us his father wouldn't say." Argued Harry "That only tells me Draco has the attitude without the brains."

Ron emitted a very girlish giggle "He does tend to blab when bragging."

"I know. Right." Harry's amusement was short-lived.

Now Ron eyed his friend curiously "Y'know, Potter, that's the expression the twins have on their faces right before they pick up a detention."

"Really fascinating Weasley." Quipped the other boy "Your brothers were indeed who I was thinking about just now. Something about knowing how to best hit your target."

The redhead barely had to think about it "Goes like this 'Know your enemy, know yourself, and you'll never lose' I think it came from Africa."

"Well, they'd be impressed with this. We need Hedwig. Plus the addresses of all the Governors." Harry was feeling particularly pleased with himself, adding that "Next stop …I bet your oldest brother has that information."

Ron, despite a height advantage, had difficulty keeping pace with his single-minded friend. So much so that mentioning he had two older brothers just didn't happen. Upon reaching the owlery he complained "Blimey Harry! Can you explain this? In as few words as possible!"

"Like Percy explained, students have the right …though pretty much none ever do… to appeal to the Governors. Hedwig!" the last was while Harry looked into the rafters "Now, while I'm addressing, you can read one."

Ron was impressed at the ease with which his friend picked up the copy/paste spell his older brother taught them. An address from the sheet was transferred to the outer layer of each scroll in turn as the snowy owl swept down:

Dear BLANK

Headmaster Dumbledore was recently removed from office by, I understand, a unanimous vote on your part. Interesting that Lucius Malfoy is behind it. As a classmate of Draco's we are well accustomed to it; quote 'Wait'll my father, blablabla' Did any of you hear the same when Lucius was a student? Or, possibly, HE is still sicking Daddy on everyone.

Somebody told me he was a follower of the bad guy everyone calls He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named. Don't know about that, but if it's true it means he wasn't tops. The other story is that I beat the boss. A very good friend of mine is one of those petrified. And as another put it, without Dumbledore here there'll be an attack a day. Do any of you currently have kids here? Do you want them safe? I'll be glad to help you.

Thank you for your time

Ps: Though I might also send it to the newspapers

Three days after Hedwig took flight, as the students arrived for dinner they all gaped at the Head Table. And the white-bearded wizard in the center seat. Tension was allowed to mount when no teacher spoke to the Hall at large. Only when the House Tables were full to the last student did he speak, which was less than informative "Indeed I have returned. My regrets to one and all for my absence. Gryffindors, please note 50 points will be awarded to Mr. Harry Potter for Special Services to the School. Something of a feast tonight. Enjoy."
