Harry Does Different DXXXI
Died or Seen or Expelled
"I don't get why your Mum thinks degnomeing is a punishment." Harry was flushed, and a little winded, but happy. He was holding, petting and just generally studying the tiny, bearded manlike creature who was the last of the boys' chore.
[JIBBER][JABBER][BLIBBER][BLABBER] kicking feet and punching fists lashed out at the giant human who was so outraging his dignity. Finally, a giant finger stroked his face. Turning his head a trifle, he bit into it viciously.
"YIP!" even sitting Indian-style, Harry managed to awkwardly fling the gnome almost entirely out of Weasley property. Blood spurted impressively.
Ginny had been approaching, rather timidly, glasses of lemonade and iced tea floating on a tray beside her. She immediately reacted to the fountain commanding "Wand! Harry, gimme your hand. Episky!"
"Why thank you Healer Weasley." Quipped Harry, lightly once the emergency was over.
She scowled at him "It's not funny. You could have died, or- -"
"Is this a girl thing, guys?" Harry cut in, wanting to know "Hermione did it to me and Ron." Pitching his voice up an octave "We could have been killed …or worse!... expelled!" then a trifle lower adding "And Mrs. Weasley you could have DIED you could have BEEN SEEN!"
Fred pointed out "A moment there, young Potter, we notice our sister has not yet released your hand."
"EEP! Git!" and a red streak fled the little farm.
The boys giggled at their fleeing sister. Harry did not know what to make of that so pressed on "What she did is brilliant, but really, they all said the same thing. Is it a witch thing?"
"Mate, even with MY vast experience" George pointedly excluded his twin "understanding the female of the race is not easily achieved." Fred pounced on him and they started wrestling, which Ron and Harry cheered. This went on far longer than normal. But then, to where the Weasley parents vanished after the patriarch finished his end-of-shift breakfast was not the children's business.
