"I think that Dad is cheating on Mom," Xavier said to his sisters as he watched his dad leave after his mom had called to tell them that she was going to be late again.

Miral rolled her eyes at her brother and headed for the kitchen to start on dinner for her and her siblings. "Why would you say that?" Miral traded a look with Selena trying to figure out what her brother was doing.

"Every time that Mom has a late meeting, Dad goes out," Xavier took a seat on the stool.

"You know that Mom would kill Dad if he cheated on her," Selena took a seat next to her brother.

"That is if she finds out," Xavier looked at each of his sisters for them to believe him.

His sisters shook their heads. "Dad would never cheat on Mom. They love each other too much." Selena turned away from her brother.

Tom entered the bar and saw her sitting at the bar. He smiled and made his way to the bar. He leaned on the bar. "What are you doing here alone?"

The woman turned towards him and smiled. "I was to meet someone here," Tom saw the woman had a glass of wine in front of her.

"It looks like they are not here yet," Tom took a seat next to her. "I could keep you company until they get here," Tom turned to the bartender and ordered a drink.

The woman took a sip of her wine. "I'm sure you could," Tom smiled by the sparkle in her eyes.

Tom leaned closer. "I could ask you your name and could tell you mine."

The woman smiled. "I rather not know your name and I rather not tell you mine."

A buzzing sound went off. The woman looked down at her PADD to see it was a message from her son. She smiled at Tom. "My son thinks that my husband is cheating on me."

"What your husband doesn't know wouldn't hurt him," Tom leaned close to her ear.

The woman smiled. "You haven't met my husband, he is jealous type," She finished off her wine.

"Well, if you were my wife, I would be jealous type too," Tom waved the bartender over. "Can we get the lady another drink?" The bartender nodded. The bartender poured more wine in the woman glass. "I don't think that your person is coming," He finished off his drink and ordered another.

"I don't think so, too," The woman smiled because she didn't mind that who was meeting wasn't coming.

The bartender watched the couple most of the night and saw that there was more going on than meeting in a bar. He had a feeling that the couple was married. At some point they ordered food. It seemed that no one was around but them. The bartender smiled when he heard a laugh from the woman. He almost forgot that the woman was married.

"I have to get home," The woman said. "My daughter has practice in the morning," The woman stood.

"I'll walk you home," Tom smiled.

"What about my husband?" The woman smiled.

"He doesn't have to know that I walked a beautiful woman home," He held out his hand for her take. The woman took his hand. The bartender watched as they left. He glanced out the window and saw the man kiss the woman. It dawned at the bartender that they were married and just wanted to remember what falling in love was about again.

Tom looked at the dark house. "The kids must be asleep," Tom said to B'Elanna.

"Good, that way I can take you upstairs and have my way with you," B'Elanna took his hand and opened the door.

"Your way?" Tom smiled as he closed the door.

"Yes," B'Elanna wrapped her arms around Tom's neck. "I had fun tonight."

"Me, too," Tom pulled B'Elanna close to him. He leaned down to kiss her. Their lips were just about to touch when they heard.

"Where have you two been?" Tom and B'Elanna broke apart and looked at their son standing in front of them.

"Out," Tom tried to go around Xavier, but Xavier was still blocking him.

Xavier crossed his arms and glared at his dad. "Where and with who?"

Tom glanced down at his son. "Last time I checked I was the parent, and it should be me questioning you." Tom glanced at his wife to see that she was trying not to laugh.

"Not when you are hurting Mom," Xavier said in a quiet voice.

B'Elanna and Tom stood a little straighter. B'Elanna sighed before saying. "Your Dad would never hurt me, and we were together." Tom gave her a look and B'Elanna shrugged her shoulders.

"Oh," Xavier said. "I guess I'll go to bed," Xavier turned towards the stairs.

"Xavier," Tom called out to his son. Xavier turned to his father's voice. "It is good that you are worried about your mother and know this I love your mother more than anything in the world." Xavier nodded before heading upstairs.

B'Elanna looked at her husband. "More than anything in the world," B'Elanna took his hand and started for the stairs.

Tom leaned down and kissed his wife. "Yes," Tom and B'Elanna headed upstairs for their room.

Tom was moaning because B'Elanna was having him clean the backyard for Selena's birthday next weekend. She reminded him this morning about the party. He looked around the backyard and wondered how it was such a mess. He picked up someone's bike when he heard.

"Dad," Tom turned around and saw his son making his way outside.

"Yeah," Tom took the bike to the side of the house.

"I have a question for you," Xavier picked up another bike and brought it to his father. Tom nodded for his son to continue. "Would you ever cheat on Mom?"

Tom looked at his son and shallow his respond. He looked at Xavier and saw how much he looked like him. Tom saw the worry on his son's face. "No, like I said yesterday I love your mom more than anything in the world."

"Are you not saying that because Mom could hear you? She took Miral and Selena out," Xavier said.

Tom now knew why Xavier was asking the question without his mom around. Tom looked away from Xavier to the backyard. "I have loved your mom for many years," Tom smiled. He felt that he was back on Voyager in the Delta Quadrant falling in B'Elanna. All the things they had been through just to get married and their first year of marriage.

"Dad," Xavier said.

Tom sighed and it brought him back to his son. Tom looked at his son and saw how much he looked like him. "Did I ever tell you when I started falling in love with your mother?" Xavier shook his head. "We were probably not on Voyager for a year when your mother, another crewmember, and I were taken by the Vidians. They had split your mother in two and I had to deal with the human side of your mother, and I needed to be strong for her. I got to see a side of her that no one else saw."

"So, you fell for her human side what about her Klingon side?" Xavier smiled. He knew his mother.

Tom smiled. "She thought that I wouldn't be able to handle her Klingon side, but I did," Tom was back on the planet where B'Elanna had the pon farr. He was ready to take one for the team.

"When did you know that Mom was the one for you?" Xavier asked.

Tom made to think about that one. He knew that he was never going leave her. He knew that it would have been B'Elanna who broke up with him. Tom turned to his son. "I think that I always knew that she was the one but telling her was a different story. I wanted to be the man she needed. We were almost dead before she agreed to marry me," Tom smiled at that memory.

"Will you never have a mid-life crisis and cheat on Mom?" Xavier asked.

Tom sighed. "Xavier, I would never cheat on your mom. Last night, your mom and I met up somewhere and we weren't parents only lovers. Sometimes we need times to remember why we fell in love with each other."

"Why didn't you just tell us that you were on a date?" Xavier asked. "You had me thinking that you were cheating on Mom."

"Your mom and I wanted to do something different," Tom said.

"Oh," Xavier mumbled.

Tom looked at his son. "When you meet a person that makes you want to do better and drives you crazy, you'll understand."

Xavier laughed. "Mom drives you crazy."

"You have no idea," Tom shook his head. "Anyways that person might be the one for you. Hold on that person forever and never let go."

"How might someone be the person for me?" Xavier asked.

"For every relationship you have you might have to fight for," Tom said. "Even the other person in the relationship." Xavier nodded. Tom could tell that he didn't know what to make of this.

Xavier stood. "Okay, Dad," Xavier thought that he understood that his dad would never cheat on his mom. He headed for the house.

"Xavier," Tom called out. Xavier turned and looked at his dad. "Your mother would also kill me if I ever cheated on her." Xavier smiled before going into the house.

Tom was ready to stand when he heard. "I drove you crazy," Tom turned around and smiled at his wife.

"Yes," He held out his hand for her to take. B'Elanna took it. "And I loved every moment of it." He pulled her close.

B'Elanna wrapped her arms around him. "You better," Tom smiled before he leaned down and kissed her. B'Elanna broke the kiss. "You know our son is not going to know what you are saying until he is in a relationship."

"I know but the seed is planted," Tom was ready to kiss his wife again when she pulled out of his arms. He watched as she headed for the house. "Same time next time, different place," He yelled after her. B'Elanna turned around and smiled at him before entering the house.
