The sun rose with a shining ray over the hotel. Mike woke up with a quiet groan, his hand still on Angela's belly. He blinked a few times, adjusting to the light, and smiled as he looked at his sleeping fiancée.
He then smiled and planted a gentle kiss on her cheek. Angela stirred slightly and sighed quietly, a soft smile spreading across her face as she felt his touch.
Mike decided to stay in bed with her a little longer, enjoying the feeling of her skin on the palm of his hand. The room was quiet, the early morning light casting a soft glow through the window. Angela shifted closer, wrapping an arm around him, and they lay there in peaceful contentment, savoring the tranquil start to their day.
After about 15 minutes, Angela finally opened her eyes slowly. Much to her happiness, she woke up to the face of her fiancé, feeling his hand still on her belly.
"Morning, baby," she whispered softly as she shared a gentle kiss with him.
"Morning, beautiful," Mike replied, his voice warm and tender. "Ready for another beach day?"
Angela smiled. "Absolutely. But let's take our time getting up. It's nice just being here with you."
Mike nodded, pulling her closer. "Couldn't agree more."
A short moment of silence passed as Angela continued to enjoy Mike's gentle touch.
"Hey, Angela? Can I ask you something?" Mike's voice was soft as he spoke up, almost hesitant.
"What is it, Mike?" Angela replied, looking up at him with a hint of concern.
Mike paused, taking a deep breath before speaking. "Do you ever think about us having kids?"
Angela's eyes widened, a blush creeping across her cheeks. "Whoa... right to the point, huh?" she chuckled nervously. "What brought up this thought?"
Mike sighed softly. "Honestly... I'm a little jealous of my brother and your sister. And... a little lonely even when it's just the two of us... No offense..."
Angela smiled warmly, touching his cheek. "None taken, hon. I understand what you mean. It's not that you don't love our time together, but sometimes you crave more, right?"
"Yeah. Time with each other. And our kid if we ever have one," Mike replied.
"Yeah, I do think about it too," Angela admitted softly, her fingers gently intertwining with Mike's.
Mike smiled warmly at her. "You do?"
Angela nodded, her cheeks faintly flushed. "Yeah... imagining what it would be like... our family..."
Mike leaned in and kissed her forehead tenderly. "That sounds amazing."
Angela smiled back at him, feeling a surge of warmth and closeness between them.
Mike then let out a sad sigh. "But… I just… I want a kid… but… I don't want our kid to grow up and… not see Flik… knowing that he's gone…"
Angela's expression softened as she gently cupped Mike's cheek. "Oh… I get what you mean. It's hard to think about bringing a child into a world where they won't know someone so important to us."
"Yeah… I mean… Emily was made Flik's goddaughter... so she's got that connection. I just worry our kid might feel that void of him being gone."
"Hey… Remember what we talked about," Angela replied with a comforting and slightly firm voice. "Flik is alive. He's somewhere out there, and we'll find him."
Those words were enough to put a smile on Mike's face. He gently squeezed Angela's hand. "You're right. Thanks for always believing."
Both of them gently pecked each other's lips, savoring the warmth and intimacy of the moment. Angela's eyes sparkled with affection as she looked at Mike, her fingers lightly tracing the contours of his face.
"Love you, Mike," she whispered, her voice filled with tenderness.
Mike's heart swelled with emotion. "Love you too, Angela," he replied, his tone equally soft and sincere. He pulled her closer, their foreheads touching as they shared a quiet moment of connection.
Angela smiled, her fingers intertwining with his. "We've been through so much together, and I wouldn't trade a single moment."
Mike nodded, his gaze unwavering. "You're my everything, Angela. I can't imagine my life without you."
Angela's eyes welled up slightly, but she blinked back the tears, not wanting to spoil the moment. "We'll face whatever comes our way, together."
"Always," Mike agreed, sealing their promise with another gentle kiss. As they held each other, the worries of the world seemed to fade away, leaving just the two of them in their own perfect bubble of love and hope.
Meanwhile, David and Lily were coming out of their own slumber. David ran a hand through his hair, trying to tame the mess of bedhead, while Lily sat up and stretched her arms with a yawn.
"Morning, Lily," David greeted, his voice still groggy.
"Morning, David," Lily replied with a sleepy smile. She reached over and gave his hand a gentle squeeze.
David smiled back, his eyes filled with warmth. "Sleep well?"
"Like a log," Lily said with a chuckle. "I'm really looking forward to today."
David nodded. "Me too. Another day at the beach sounds perfect."
Lily leaned over and kissed his cheek. "Let's make the most of it."
David agreed, feeling a surge of excitement for the day ahead. They got up and started getting ready, the anticipation of new adventures energizing them both.
"Would've been better off if we slept in our swimsuits," David remarked, still in his beach robe like Lily.
"So you can rub my tummy when I'm in it?" she teased, a playful glint in her eyes.
David chuckled, pulling her close. "Maybe. But mainly so we can just roll out of bed and head straight to the beach."
Lily laughed softly. "Well, let's get ready then. The beach isn't going to wait for us."
Gypsy and Manny were coming out of their sleep as well in their own room.
"Morning, my lovely moth," Manny said softly, his eyes warm with affection.
Gypsy smiled, stretching her wings gently. "Good morning, Manny. Ready for another day of adventure?"
"Always, especially with you," Manny replied, giving her a gentle hug. "Let's get ready and join the others."
Later at Daytona Beach, the human family had taken off their beach robes, and Lily carefully removed Emily from her sundress, revealing her cute swimsuit underneath. Everyone was buzzing with excitement as they prepared for a day of fun in the sun.
"Sand feel any different to you from Cocoa, lovebugs?" Mike asked Gypsy and Manny with a grin.
Gypsy wiggled her feet in the sand. "It does feel a bit different. Softer, maybe?"
"Yeah, and it's a bit warmer too," Manny added, enjoying the sensation. "But just as fun."
Lily laughed as Emily giggled and tried to bury her feet in the sand. "It's all good as long as we're together."
David set up the beach umbrella and spread out the towels. "Alright, who's ready for some beach games?"
"I'm going to play in the sand with Tuck and Roll!" Emily shouted excitedly, her eyes sparkling.
"Go for it, sweetie," Lily encouraged, watching her daughter run off to join the pill bug twins in their play.
Dim and Rosie settled nearby, enjoying the shade of the umbrella and the cool breeze. Dim stretched out and rested his head on Rosie's lap, looking content.
"This is perfect," Rosie said, leaning back and enjoying the view. "A nice, relaxing day at the beach."
David and Mike nodded in agreement as they set up a beach volleyball net nearby. "Absolutely. Let's have some fun!"
The day promised enjoyment for everyone, blending activities in the sand with moments of relaxation under the shade, making it a perfect beach outing for the group.
Gypsy, playing on Mike's and Angela's side, leaped gracefully into the air and spiked the volleyball with precision over the net, her wings fluttering slightly in the breeze.
"Nice hit, Gypsy!" Manny praised enthusiastically, watching with admiration as the game continued, everyone taking turns to skillfully hit the ball back and forth across the net.
Heimlich's chubby body bounced off the ground as he managed to redirect the volleyball with his stomach, sending it back over the net in an unexpectedly effective move.
"Now, that's thinking with your stomach, Heimlich!" quipped Lily, laughing as Manny struck the ball back into play with a determined swing.
"This game would probably end up squishing P.T. Flea!" Mike quipped as the ball flew toward him, prompting a laugh from the group.
"I get what you mean!" Manny replied, quickly positioning himself to keep the ball in play with a swift hit.
"This beats being cast as a stick of any kind in the circus any day!" Slim chimed in with a grin as he delivered his own powerful spike over the net.
"And being called a girl by some flies!" Francis added with excitement, as he skillfully hit the ball back over to David's team, keeping the game lively and competitive.
"How do you manage to keep playing this game without feeling the effects of hitting the ball on your hand?" Gypsy asked, wincing slightly as she rubbed her palm and the ball flew over to Angela, who delivered a skilled hit.
"Try alternating hands when you hit the ball. It helps to avoid overworking one hand and reduces the strain," Angela suggested helpfully.
Gypsy nodded in appreciation, quickly switching hands as the ball flew her way again. "Thanks, Angela! That feels a lot better."
"Anything for a friend," Angela replied with a smile.
As they relaxed on their towels after the game, Mike, Angela, Gypsy, and Manny enjoyed the warmth of the sun. Meanwhile, the others splashed around in the shallow water nearby.
"I meant to ask this earlier when we were there, but why do they call it Cocoa Beach?" Gypsy inquired, curious about the origin of the name.
"Good question," Mike said, adjusting his sunglasses. "Cocoa Beach got its name from a local legend. Back in the 19th century, there was a shipwreck off the coast, and the cargo was full of cocoa beans. The locals salvaged the beans, and since then, the place started being called Cocoa Beach. It stuck around, and here we are today."
"That's interesting," Manny remarked. "I never would have guessed that."
"Yeah, it's one of those fun little stories that gives the place some character," Angela added with a grin.
As the 4 watched the others enjoy their time at the beach, Gypsy turned to Manny with a playful glint in her eye.
"Wonder how we'd look in swimwear," she remarked.
"Who knows." her husband added.
"Honestly, we couldn't really say, but I think you bugs are better off being your natural selves," Angela chimed in with a smile.
"Yeah, you all have your own charm," Mike added. "Besides, I can't picture Heimlich fitting into a swimsuit without it being a circus act!"
Gypsy laughed. "You're probably right. We're unique just the way we are."
"But, if you're gonna be a Jerry Springer security guard, at least the shirt's a different story," Angela quipped.
"You're never gonna forget the time we had to break up each of your fights, are you?" Manny chuckled.
"Nope!" the female human replied with a laugh. "Those were some memorable moments, that's for sure."
"But, anyway, at least the sunglasses are helpful for your eyes," Mike added with a smile, changing the subject.
"True," Gypsy agreed. "They do make a difference, especially with all this bright sun."
Manny nodded. "I have to admit, I never thought I'd need sunglasses, but they do help a lot."
"Your sister's very generous," Mike complimented to his fiancee.
Angela smiled. "She sure is. She's always looking out for everyone."
"That's what makes her special," Gypsy added warmly, adjusting her sunglasses.
"Yeah, it's nice to have someone like that in the family," Manny said, leaning back on his towel.
"You know... Out of all the bugs in the troupe... you two are our favorites," Mike said to Gypsy and Manny with a friendly smile .
Angela nodded in agreement. "Absolutely. You both bring so much positivity and fun to everything we do, you're kind to us, provide wise advice to us in our situations, hell, you make a great couple."
"We really appreciate having you around," Manny added, adjusting his sunglasses.
Gypsy chuckled warmly. "Thanks, guys. That means a lot coming from you."
Back at the hotel, although Gypsy remembered to put on sunscreen before hitting the beach, it didn't fully protect her from the sun. She had a red line across the bridge of her nose and cheeks. She let out an embarrassed groan as Lily took out a bottle of aloe.
"Is this what a sunburn feels like?" the moth asked, wincing slightly.
"Apparently," Mike replied sympathetically.
"You're lucky the pain isn't immediate," Lily added, handing the bottle to Manny and letting him do the honors of applying the soothing aloe.
"Well, how long does it take for it to start hurting?" Rosie asked as Manny rubbed the gel on his wife's reddened skin.
"It varies from person to person," Angela replied. "For some, it starts to feel uncomfortable within a few hours, but for others, it might take until the next day."
"I don't know about that," Gypsy responded with a nervous chuckle as she felt the cool gel soothe her skin. "It feels weird, but not painful yet."
"Just keep applying the aloe, and hopefully, it won't get worse," Lily advised, looking at Manny as he continued to gently rub it in.
"I think it'll be alright, dear," Manny reassured her with a smile, trying to lighten the mood. "Maybe you'll just have a nice, even tan when it's all done."
"That'd be nice," Gypsy replied, giving him a grateful smile.
As Manny finished applying the gel, he capped the bottle and handed it back to Lily. "There you go, all done."
"Thanks, Manny," Gypsy said, touching her face gingerly. "I appreciate it."
"You're welcome, honey," Manny replied, planting a gentle kiss on her forehead.
"Usually, you're the one with the better luck, Gypsy," David remarked.
"Yeah, I guess today wasn't my day," the moth replied with a grin. "But at least we had fun!"
"Absolutely," Lily added. "And now we know to apply sunscreen more liberally next time."
"Anyways, me and Angela are gonna go in our room," Mike said, grinning at Angela.
"Time to finally beat our record," Angela added as they both headed into their room.
"Lily, you wanna...?" David began to ask.
"I gotcha," Lily replied with a smile, acknowledging what her boyfriend was talking about, taking David's hand and leading him to their room.
In Mike and Angela's room, they began to make out passionately on the bed in their swimsuits. Mike's hands moved slowly to Angela's belly, gently rubbing it in a soothing, circular motion. Angela moaned into the kiss, feeling the familiar comfort and warmth of his touch.
"You ready to break that record?" Mike murmured between kisses, his hand still caressing her belly.
Angela smiled softly, her eyes half-closed. "Absolutely," she whispered back, her hands running through his hair as they lost themselves in each other.
They remembered to place a stopwatch beside them on their nightstand before they went on the bed, wanting to know how long they could go for. The clock started ticking as their passion grew, each kiss and touch intensifying their connection.
Mike's hand continued to caress Angela's belly, his touch tender and loving. Angela's breath quickened as she felt the warmth of his hand against her skin. The minutes passed, but they were lost in each other, savoring every moment.
"Let's make this count," Mike whispered, his lips brushing against hers.
Angela nodded, her eyes sparkling with excitement and love. "Always," she replied softly, pulling him closer as they embraced, determined to break their record together.
Both of them breathed heavily and moaned with pleasure as their lips continued to stick to each other like glue. Mike couldn't keep his hand off of his fiancée's belly. He loved the way it looked and felt, smooth and warm beneath his touch.
Angela's hands roamed over Mike's back, her fingers tracing the muscles beneath his skin. "You always know just where and how to touch me," she murmured between kisses.
Mike smiled against her lips. "It's because I know what you like," he replied, his hand moving in slow, deliberate circles on her belly.
Their bodies pressed closer together, the stopwatch ticking away unnoticed as they lost themselves in the moment. The intensity of their connection grew with each passing second, their shared desire fueling the fire between them.
Meanwhile, David and Lily were in bed in their swimsuits as well, mirroring the passion of each of their two siblings. Their kisses were deep and intense, their bodies entwined as they reveled in each other's presence.
David's hand roamed over Lily's belly, savoring the softness of her skin. "I can't get enough of you," he whispered, his voice filled with desire.
Lily's fingers traced delicate patterns on David's chest, her touch gentle yet insistent. "I feel the same way," she replied, her eyes locked onto his. "You're everything to me."
Their lips met again, their kisses growing more fervent. David's hand continued to stroke Lily's belly, sending waves of warmth and pleasure through her. The world outside their room faded away, leaving only the two of them and the love they shared.
"Oh, David..." Lily moaned softly, her voice a blend of pleasure and affection.
David's hand gently traced circles on her belly, his touch tender and loving. "I love you, Lily," he whispered, his eyes filled with warmth as he gazed at her.
Lily's fingers curled around his, guiding his hand to where she wanted him to touch. "I love you too," she murmured, her breath hitching as their connection deepened.
They continued to kiss, their movements synchronized, their hearts beating in unison. The intensity of their emotions and the warmth of their touch created a cocoon of intimacy around them, making this moment feel timeless and perfect.
Each of the human couples continued their sessions for three and a half hours, surpassing their previous makeout sessions by two hours.
