Hi all, I know it's been a while...I'm so sorry! I've recently been thinking of how to start this story back up, so I hope you enjoy! I do not own the show or any of the songs mentioned
Sam and Tucker ran to the park near the baseball field to place their first clue. When they first created the game, the three of them had an agreement that the first clue would always be placed near the baseball field. Sam and Tucker ran to the bleachers to place their first clue.
"Okay, what are we gonna write?" Asked Sam excitedly holding the pen ready to write the clue.
"Mmhm do we want to go to the mall next?" Tucker said giddily.
"Sure! Um how about 'Laugh out when you strike a pose, take off all your preppy clothes' for the clue?"
"Of course, you would pick an Avril Lavigne song," Tucker said rolling his eyes.
"She has great music!" Sam quickly wrote the line and taped it to the bleachers. "C'mon, we have to go!" She exclaimed grabbing Tucker's hand.
What Tucker and Sam had missed was one of the paps going over to their clue to read. "What is this?"
"How do you even know where to start?" Dani asked trailing behind Danny in the air.
"We always had the same starting spot, so hopefully they decided to go there instead of changing the game on me," Danny said as he flew over to the baseball field. He landed on the pit looking for the clue. "Now if I were a clue, where would I be?" Danny asked out loud with Dani landing next to him.
"In the dugout?' Dani asked.
"Could be, let's go check," Danny said walking over to the dugout with Dani following. They looked inside and around the dugout but didn't see the clue. Danny put his hand on his chin thinking of another area they could've put the clue. His eyes landed on the bleachers off to the side of the dugout. He gave a knowing smile to Dani.
"How much do you wanna bet they put it over there?" Danny asked. Dani ran over to the bleachers and ripped the clue off of the stand.
"Yep!"
"What does it say?" Danny shouted.
"'Laugh out when you strike a pose, take off all your preppy clothes' What does that mean?" Dani asked holding the clue out for Danny to take.
Danny read the clue and smiled. "It's an Avril Lavigne song. She was Sam's favorite artist when we were younger," Danny sat on the bleachers thinking the clue through. "Okay, Sam if I know you, you're either talking about school or the mall."
"Why?" Dani asked
"When we were younger, Sam would joke that the mall would only sell clothes that favored the masses, making it harder for her to find her goth attire. But I also think school because she used to say school was a talent show for everyone putting their masks on."
"Well, which one is closer to here?"
"The mall, let's go!" Danny said taking off into the air with Dani following him.
Sam and Tucker raced to the mall entrance to see who would write the clue this time. Of course, Sam won.
"C'mon I never win!" Tucker pouted.
"Don't make a bet you can't pull through for! What are we going to do for this one?"
"Let's head to the zoo! And I know just the clue for it" Tucker said rubbing his hands ready to deliver his clue. Sam placed the sheet of paper on the side of the mall ready for Tucker to give his clue. "'City's breaking down on a camel's back.'" Tucker said waiting for his applause.
"I gotta give it to ya, that's pretty good" Sam said writing the clue out and taping it down. "I'll give you a heads start this time."
"Like that's gonna help me," Tucker said running.
"Nah, probably not" Sam responded as she started running after Tucker. What they hadn't noticed was Youngblood appearing behind a shrubbery next to the mall. He turned invisible and followed after Tucker and Sam seeing what game they were playing.
The pap came up to the mall gasping for air, "How do those two run so fast!" Another pap appeared behind him also gasping for air. "No way, this is my story!"
"Listen, we're here for the same thing, and until your story is posted, it's actually fair game" The pap said through staggered breath.
"Whatever," the first pap said as they went over to read the clue. "What is this supposed to mean?"
The other pap walked over to see the clue themselves, "That's an old song. But why are they doing this?"
"No idea, they're getting far though, and if either of us is hoping to get a story, we better keep up with them," The first pap said hustling after Sam and Tucker.
"Ugh, I should've stretched before doing this," The second pap grumbled.
Danny and Dani landed on the roof of the mall looking for Sam and Tucker from a higher point. Not seeing them, Danny flew down to the entrance of the mall and immediately found the clue.
"Dani, I found it!"
"What does it say?"
"'City's breaking down on a camel's back.' Too easy," Danny said.
"What is that even supposed to mean?" Dani said exasperated.
"Ever heard of Feel Good Inc.? It's a classic. I'm gonna have to play these songs for you later so you can experience good music," Danny said as he shot out into the sky.
"Why is this slowly becoming annoying?" Dani yelled out before shooting out into the sky herself.
