It was the second week of December, Naoki, after Ayato's strenuous requests, agreed to hang out once along with Kouichi, Yuuya, Manabu and Mei who agreed to come with them. The first snow had already fallen, so they all went to Inoya cafe, where they spent time.

After some time, Kouichi decided to ask Naoki about his past and his relationship to the 3-3 class.

- I see that you and Misaki-san don't like to socialize...
- It's not like I wanted to be here. I did a favor to my friend.
- So Muneyoshi-kun actually has any friends?
- Maejima-kun!..
Yuuya reminded Manabu not to ruin the mood.
- No, he's right. I do not have friends….
Ayato seemed confused after these words as he heard them.

- ….I only have one friend.
- Ayato got an explanation, and also some relief.

There was an awkward silence for a few seconds, then Yuuya decided to change the topic of conversation.

Naoki looked at his watch after a while and found that he had something important to do.

In fact, he wanted to prepare to kill Kenshin Hironiwa, and he left and went to the former estate that belonged to his grandparents Umenosuke and Kaguya Muneyoshi.

His father and two uncles grew up in this house, also where the Showa Day Massacre took place.

On April 29, 1977, Umenosuke Muneyoshi and 10 other members of the Muneyoshi clan were killed, many of them important people to the town, and they were killed by bullets, as well as by white weapons, probably katanas.

Kaito, Shion and Kiichisaburo were away from home at the time, with Kaito spending the night at a friend's house, Kiichisaburo was in Tokyo and Shion was at college abroad.

Takeshi Miyagawa, 38, was charged with the murder, where the katana used to kill some of the victims that day was found.

Miyagawa himself insisted he was innocent, and even had an alibi which, however, could not be fully verified, as the person with whom he allegedly spent time that night had disappeared that same day.

As a result, Miyagawa was found to have killed a total of 12 people, for which he was sentenced to death and executed on January 10, 1979.

The body of his cousin, with whom he had spent time, was never found, and a week after Miyagawa's execution, his cousin (whose brother Miyagawa was alleged to have killed) hanged herself, orphaning her two-year-old daughter, who disappeared.
Naoki entered the old mansion, there was still dried blood on the floors and walls, Naoki came there for clues where the weapon caches from 1945 might have been hidden.

The Muneyoshi clan was involved in hiding weapons that year, as were the Hironiwa and Minamiyashiki clans.

In later times, these weapons were used to " make things easier" for their interests, through which the Yomiyama Clans maintained their influence.

Naoki searched the entire property when he heard the floor creak, someone was inside, and he could follow him. Naoki hid in one of the rooms and took his pocket knife that he always carried.

After a while he noticed who was following him - it was Ria Hironiwa.

- What are you doing here?

Ria startled when Naoki appeared behind her back suddenly

however, she quickly returned to her usual demeanor.

-I was following you to see if you kept your promise.

-What if I didn't keep it?

Ria drew her gun and pointed it at Naoki.

-Then you will die.

-You want your own brother dead that much?

-You shouldn't care, anyway you yourself have an interest in killing him right?

-In fact, no, I'm doing it on behalf of someone else, though.

-So you didn't break out of our agreement?

-No.

-Good.

Ria holstered her weapon, and looked around the building.

-Then what are you doing here?

-I have some things I want to have clearly explained, besides I don't see any reason that I should explain myself to you.
- Did you come here to explore your family history?
-I guess
- You know, I can help you search if it will be useful to you in killing Kenshin.
-I'm looking for some documents.
- Then you want me to help you?
- Since you want to…
Ria and Naoki started looking for documents, however, Naoki did not specify what they were about.

After two hours, Naoki found that he did not have the documents he was looking for, and he and Ria were walking to the exit when the floor beneath her collapsed. Ria bumped into a hidden staircase and rolled down it spraining her ankle.
Naoki noticing a hidden entrance went in there, removing pieces of the floor, however, it did not help Ria.

He opened the door that led to a dark tunnel, fired up the flashlight and entered it.

Ria managed to get out of the hidden staircase and sat down on the floor.

The tunnel was about 40 meters long and led to a closed room with a locked door.

Naoki used his pocket knife to break in.

Upon entering, he noticed a skeleton that still had remnants of clothing on it, probably a man, with a knife stuck in his chest. The entire room was full of documents, most of them in terrible condition, but Naoki noticed that next to the man's remains was a piece of paper - it was a letter.

Naoki read the letter, and then, for the first time in a dozen years, a tear ran down his cheek, however, he was perfectly capable of suppressing his emotions, and after wiping the tear away, he came back to himself.

Naoki continued searching for the document he was looking for, finally found it and left the secret room. He read it and had a clue he wanted, he teared i tup and left he room.

Ria was no longer there, Naoki did not trust her also looked out the window to see if anyone was around then left.
At the same time, the rest of the people Naoki met with also left the cafe and were returning to their homes.

Mei was walking back to her house with Kouichi, Mei guessed why Naoki had left, but wondered if he could have been right, after all, Misaki wanted to drop out of school after her 15th birthday, and devote herself to work to support her family.

It could have meant that the Fujioka family's financial situation could have actually worsened.

However, still Misaki's death at the hands of the Hironiwa clan seemed like just a conspiracy theory to her.

She was also intrigued that Naoki believed in such a version of events, even though he seemed to be a fairly intelligent person.

Kouichi noticed this as Mei drifted off in thought, remembering her answer to whether the curse would return he began to fear.

- Hey Mei what are you thinking about?
-About nothing important.

Just.

Mei realized that spreading such information could have lamentable consequences.

- Nevermind.
Kouichi's anxiety increased, he feared that he might be the victim of a recurring curse, or an unfortunate accident unrelated to the curse.
- Mei, are you thinking about... who's going to die?
-Do you want to know it that badly?
Kouichi simply nodded

-The color of death on this person is not that intense, however...

From what I have determined such intensity means that he has about a month of life left...
Kouichi was gaining more and more panic, afraid that Mei might have had him in mind all along.
-Do you really want to know who will die?
- Yes, I do. He said in a shaky voice.
-It is possible that transferring to this school was the stupidest decision of his life, although I have not seen this color on anyone else in our class, so he will die not because of the curse.
-H-how long ago did he transfered?
Mei was slightly confused, but smiled at Kouichi for a moment.

-You thought you were going to die?
-W-well… maybe….
-Don't worry.

I had Anju-kun on mind, not you

Kouichi breathed a sigh of relief, however, on the other hand, Ayato's impending death caused him sadness.
-So, Anju-kun is going to die….
-Unfortunately….
-I began to sympathize with Muneyoshi-kun, all in all he will be in a situation like me in April.

Although I doubt if it will touch him, as the death of my sister did not matter to him...

-Huh? Did he know your sister?

-Yes, even very close.

But I don't want to talk about it.

Oh, sorry...

-It's okay, it just slipped out.

-Then maybe I'll go home now.

-See you later

-Bye
