A Few Days After The Universe Was Restored

"So Rosie, what are you planning to do now?" Palutena asked as she and Roseline walk to Toad Town.

"Good question. From what you told me, looking at things are now, much has changed. I wonder if my old home is still there after so many years." Roselina said

"I was hopping you'll say that. Come on, let's go and visit!"

"Now? Well..."

"Oh excuse us." A voice said as they turned to see two people walking toward them. One looked neatly dressed gentleman while the other looked a bad boy style. "Sorry to trouble you but this is Toad Town, yes?" the gentleman asked

"It is, are you tourists?" Roselina asked

"We are. We came from a different world."

"We are looking for the one who restored Remnant… and the universe." The Bad boy responds.

"That is me." Rosalina spoke up. "Technically, the Lumas had a hand in it, but I may have had something to do with it too."

"I see. We thank you for restoring our beautiful world that we cherish so much." The gentleman smiled

"Our?" Palutena mouthed as she notice something is off with him. The way the neatly dressed human said "our" disturbed her.

"Wow. To think that the balance of life and death was taken away by a supermassive black hole… but the balance was restored thanks to our savor right in front of us. We never thought we would meet such a powerful goddess." The Bad boy rub his chin in amusement

'Life? Death?' Palutena thought. She clenched her fists as she something was off with them.

Rosalina let out a soft chuckled "I wouldn't call myself a goddess... True, I may be immortal in the "never aging" category, but I don't think-"

"Alright." Palutena interrupted Roselina, "How about we discuss this a little more privately? Follow me." She said as she guide the three elsewhere, while Roselina look confused.

Palutena, Roselina, and the two tourists arrived at a plain a few distances from Toad Town.

"Now then." Palutena then turn to the tourist and aiming her staff at the two. "Who are you? You don't just go spouting off the balance of life and death so casually! Reveal yourselves to us at once."

"Oh dear… it seems we have had a slip of the tongue, brother." The bad boy spoke.

"Indeed. It appears it's a force of habit." The gentleman spoke. "Very well, we will show you who we are. Might we go into somewhere a little more private? I don't think it would be wise from out here."

"Sure. I know a good place." Palutena said as she use her power and then teleported to the Observatory Garden room.

"The Comet Observatory Garden room?" Roselina asked.

"Yes, this place should be perfect." Palutena nodded. "Alright, reveal yourselves." She ordered as the two nodded as they were enveloped in light and darkness.

Rosalina let out a gasp as they revealed themselves.

"The Gods of Light and Darkness." Palutena scowled. "Or as some people call them... the Gods of Creation and Destruction."

"Indeed." The God of Light spoke. "We had originally come to speak with the one who restored Remnant after the universe collapsed. We had not anticipated someone to be with her… especially with one as godly as you."

"You two… I have some questions for you." Palutena said.

"SHE'S NOT THE ONLY ONE!" A voice yelled as a heavenly light appeared as Viridi walked out, aiming her scythe at the two with an angry scowl on her face.

'I sense otherworldly beings nearby.' A voice said in Palutena's mind. 'I know where you are. I am coming to your location.'

'Very well.' Palutena thought as Mewtwo appeared in the room.

"You two…" Mewtwo scowled. "I did not come alone." He said as Shulk, Joker, Ike and Bayonetta were with him.

"Excuse me, coming through." A voice called out as a heavenly portal appeared and Sothis walk out of it.

There was a knock on the garden entrance as Palutena look outside and see the Hands.

"Hey, mind if you expand the room a little bit?" Crazy Hand asked.

"Certainly." Palutena said, snapping her fingers as the room they were in got bigger and wider, much to Rosalina's surprise.

"Thank you!" Crazy Hand said as he and Master Hand teleported in. There was another beam of light as Dyntos walked in as Arceus teleported in.

"Pardon the intrusion, but might I also come in." A voice asked

"Of course, come in." Palutena answered

"Thank you. I'm not alone either." The voice replied and then teleported in was Rachel Alucard with Valkaneyn.

Then another neck on the garden entrance and Palutena enter and see Aether along with a few of his friends.

"Sorry to bother you but, can we join in as well?" Aether asked.

"Of course, come in." Palutena said as Aether and his friends came in.

"What is going on?" Rosalina sweatdropped. "Is this some kind of housewarming party tradition that I wasn't aware of?"

"No, it's not that." Aether sweatdrop.

"My my, looks like we've attracted quite a crowd." The God of Darkness mused. "Though I question those four in particular." He said, referring to Shulk, Ike, Joker and Bayonetta. "And to the little miss, and the blonde one and the people accompany him." He said, referring to Rachel, Aether and his friends.

"These four have killed gods before." Mewtwo said. "They're here in case if you do anything we don't like."

"Worry, not about myself. As for Aether, well, I'm sure some of you notice he's very different from the rest of the humans, along with the people with him." Rachel said.

"My my! This looks like fun!" A voice said as Hades appeared out of a fiery portal, leaning on a wall.

"Ugh, why are you here?" Sothis muttered

"Butt out, Hades!" Viridi yelled.

"No can do, little cactus." Hades said as he leaned on a wall. "So, what's on the agenda?"

"You two." Mewtwo aimed his hand at the duo. "You have some nerve."

"Yeah, what's this all about with wiping out humanity?" Dyntos asked. "Surely there has to be a reason why."

"What in the world is going on here?!" Rosalina demanded to know.

"I'll explain. This does back after the Subspace incident. The Cross Tag battle Incident." Rachel said. "Ever since the fighter of Smash Bros defeated the God of Subspace, the event in question was supposed to return things to normal... or so they thought. Then the distortion appeared shortly. Merging the Mushroom Kingdom, Zemuria, and such. And then the Cross Tag Battle took place. Class VII, Ragna, and other worlds that the system brought to its domain were forced into its Tag Battle tournament to collect data. But now Ragna, Class VII, and the other worlds defeated the System, the distortion took place once again. And now more world has been merged into this world. Remnant is one of them."

"And that wasn't the only thing that merged. Prince Olivert didn't notice until a while back that Smash Bros Castle had also been merged with Zemuria. Then Fiore, and Remnant." Aether added.

"Sure, it was just a simple portal near Toad Town, but now this distortion changed that." Master Hand explained. "However, the other worlds like Gaur Plains, Gaia, Fodlan, Skyworld, the Pokemon world and many more are connected by portals. Due to an incident, portals are dropping people into our world… Such as Kirito. Of course, there are instances where Smashers can bring others from different worlds as they are connected to their universe. For example, Ryu can bring in Phoenix Wright and Maya. We always allow visitors, so this doesn't bother us too much."

"What does bother us is you!" Crazy Hand said.

"Brother, please. Calm down." Master Hand requested.

"I know Ozpin asked of me to keep this a secret… however, I did not anticipate that you would know of this." Mewtwo said.

"Oh, we know." Viridi said.

"Aether and I were informed by a different party, whose named I shall not mention." Rachel said.

"Rosalina." Arceus spoke up. "If you are not aware, then allow us to explain."

"No. Let us." The God of Light spoke. "A long time ago, a young maiden by the name of Salem came to me and asked if I could revive her loved one that she had lost. I took pity on her, but I had explained to her that it would mess up the delicate balance of life and death. Salem did not take this lightly, and so she went to my brother where he had revived Ozma. However, I caught wind of this and immediately reversed it. Despite us having creative differences, he is my brother and I would not allow anyone to pit us against each other for their own selfish reasons. When he had learned that Salem was responsible for this action, I decided to take drastic measures… and dunked her into my fountain where I gave her a simple curse. Immortality."

"Immortality?" Roselina asked.

"Do not mistake this as your own immortality, Rosalina." The God of Light spoke to her. "Yours is quite different than ours. The Star Spirits granted you immortality so that you may live after you decided to live in space. This was after the Luma turned himself into a comet. Your immortality is a gift and should be cherished. However, Salem's in quite different."

"Indeed. She cannot die and the curse cannot be reversed until she had learned not to mess with the delicate balance of life and death. However, we did not anticipate her own lesson… that being that man can be easily swayed. Once Salem sent a small army to try and defeat us… we did the only thing we could." The God of Darkness continued

"That was to wipe out humanity and take away all magic on Remnant." Palutena scowled.

"WHAT?!" Rosalina yelled in horror.

"Oh wow! If it was that easy to do, I would have done something about it a long time ago." Hades smirked.

"ZIP IT!" Viridi yelled.

"Indeed." The God of Light nodded. "However, because of Salem's curse, she was the only one spared and we departed. We also left a huge hole in the moon."

"Why did you do something like that?" Bayonetta wondered.

"It was in our way." The God of Darkness responded.

"Well, now I feel sorry for the moon." Said the man who accompany Aether.

"And so, you let Salem alone in Remnant?" Asked the woman who accompany Aether.

"Not necessarily. She had the Grimm to keep her company." The God of Darkness responded.

"Even so, she would still try to find a way to defy us." The God of Light explained as he snapped his fingers to show everyone an image of what Salem used to look like. "She soon found her way into my brother's home, and she thought by jumping into his pool, that she would get rid of her immortality. However, it did something else to her. She turned herself into a Grimm." He said, as Salem's image changed into what she had become.

"Oh my gosh…" Rosalina whispered, her hand over her mouth.

"Wow..." Akira quietly muttered

"Damn..." Ike quietly said

"As Salem traversed the world, I had visited Ozma in the afterlife and explained that Salem is walking around Remnant while my brother destroyed humanity, but the world remained. I explained to him that we chose to depart this world, and humanity will be a fraction of what they once were. However, I showed him four relics… physical manifestations of the four gifts of humanity." He showed them a crown, a lamp, a staff and a sword. "Choice, Knowledge, Creation, Destruction. These four relics are placed throughout Remnant and hold great power. I assigned Ozma to return to the land of the living and act as a guide for humanity and protect these relics from the wrong hands. While these relics are protected after the worlds were merged, Salem seeks them for her own purpose. When these four relics are brought together, we will return and judge humanity. If mankind learn to live together in harmony and set aside their differences, then we will once again live among them and humanity will be made whole."

"However-" The God of Darkness spoke up. "If humanity hasn't changed, if they demand our blessings while fighting amongst themselves… we will judge mankind as irredeemable and wipe out humanity once more, and with it, the world."

Rosalina couldn't believe her ears. Her eyes shook and she looked like she was about to faint from the news. "Wipe out… the entire world… along with everything…" She whispered, needing to sit down as summoned a bed as she sit down. "What…"

"AND I FIND THAT COMPLETELY BULLSHIT!" Viridi yelled. "You want to wipe out humanity and the WORLD because of a foolish desire?! That is extremely unacceptable!"

"That's ironic, coming from you." Hades snarked. "But what about you Sothis? The Agarthan killed you and you want revenge on them and plan to make them extinct for that crime. I'm on board with that."

"Hades!" Sothis glared at him. "They are not humans after what they done! I'm sure others like Palutena and the others can agree to that!"

"Whaaaatever. Anyway, wipe out humanity and the world? Where do I sign up! Let's gather those relics, make a foolish wish and boom! Gone forever!" Hades smirked. "That'd be a lot of souls in the Underworld to keep me company. Much more entertaining than the Wish Seed!"

"Does he have to be here?" Dyntos asked.

"I say we kick him out. All he does is annoy us." Sothis muttered.

"But I must agree with the Goddess of Nature." Said the child accompanying Aether. "I'm sure all of... Well some of us-" She said, looking at Hades who does not, just to annoy people. "-Don't find what you're doing acceptable."

"Agreed. If you're planning on destroying Remnant over a foolish desire after they were brought together... you'll not only destroy Remnant, but you'll also be destroying the Mushroom Kingdom and Zemuria, and other worlds connected to Smash Bros Castle." Nodded the man accompanying Aether.

"Mobius, Dreamland, Midgar, Onett, Shibuya, Ylisse, Hyrule, and many more worlds that are interconnected… and that is why we have problems with your solution."Palutena said. "And I'm pretty sure Aidios and the Holy Beasts won't like that either."

"If I may interject." Arceus spoke up. "Uniting humanity as one is nigh impossible. Man's hearts are easily persuaded and will change at a moment's notice. You are suggesting if humanity is harmonized, then you will return Remnant as it once was. There is a problem to this. It is impossible for humanity to be in harmony, because there will be discord no matter what."

"Such as the balance of Good and Evil, Ying and Yang, Light and Darkness, Order and Chaos. Human emotions will never change. No matter the era, or any world, Humans will always be different in balancing the cycle of good and evil, light and dark, and Order and Chaos. It is how the cycle works." Nodded the man accompanied Aether.

"Indeed. Take Smash Bros Castle for instance. Heroes and Villains are in the same building… naturally, there will be fights amongst them and I do not mean a simple spar. There will always be resistance and discord." Master Hand spoke up.

"If I may, that kind of mindset only exists in fiction. Not in reality. There's no such thing as true perfection, nor everlasting peace of the world you created." Remark the Fox lady accompanying Aether. "As the God of Pokemon and our friend here pointed out, Man's heart are easily persuaded. Whether it's greed, lust, or seeking peace and harmony, Humanity exists to balance the cycle of good and evil, Order and chaos, and so forth. It matters how hard God tries to create a world of everlasting peace. There will always be those who will break that shackle within reality. And this is basic knowledge that all gods must know."

"With all of this said, you would dare destroy everything if these relics are brought together?" Mewtwo aimed his hand at the two as a shadowy aura surrounded him. "Choose your next words carefully, for our response will be our answer." He said as Ike unsheathed Ragnell, Shulk readied the Monado, Bayonetta readied her guns and Joker readied his Persona as the gods, Aether, Rachel, Valkanhayn, Aether and his friends, minus Hades, readied themselves. Hades decided to summon a bag of popcorn.

"EVERYONE STOP!" Rosalina yelled. "I will not allow such discourse in my home!" She said as she stood up. "You cause destruction in my home and I will make you all pay." She said.

"Oooh, feisty." Hades chuckled.

"You two." Rosalina turned to the Gods. "There better be a good reason why you decided to look for me." She aimed her wand at them. "You know very well that humanity can never be truly harmonized because there will always be an adversary. There will always be chaos and discourse. If you so choose to deem humanity as irredeemable… all because one person decided to change the fate for everyone… then you're anything but benevolent. You want to erase humanity and the world because humanity is irredeemable even though there are a lot of good people in this world? I did NOT come back from a space exploration just to watch everything I hold dear get destroyed! You best have a good explanation. NOW."

"We came here because we wanted to thank you for saving humanity from its destruction." The God of Light explained. "We had not anticipated that humanity and everything in the universe would have been destroyed because of one's arrogance and recklessness. In short, our experiment had been destroyed… only for it to be resurrected. You were the one who resurrected our experiment. You are right however… humanity can never be harmonized because there will always be discourse. It is human nature to be persuaded by good and evil."

"Great, so you just confessed that humanity is irredeemable." Viridi said. "I say we-"

"Hold it!" Rosalina put her arm out and turned to the gods. "Continue."

"Humanity can never be truly in harmony, but, there are a lot of good people out there as there are a lot of bad people. If humanity is deemed irredeemable, then someone as innocent as a child would be wiped out without knowing what they did wrong." The God of Light said

"You really didn't think this through, did you?" Crazy Hand chuckled.

"Shush!" Master Hand shushed him.

"You have opened our eyes, Rosalina. It would not be fair to innocents that they will be killed, nor would it be fair for the good side of humanity to be destroyed." The God of Darkness explained. "As for those who are evil, there is nothing that can save them, no matter what is thrown at them. So, we have decided… to spare humanity from when the relics are gathered. However, only the people of light shall be spared. The people of darkness will only be destroy-"

"No." Rosalina spoke up. "You are suggesting that those are bad will be destroyed… but who's to say they cannot be persuaded to join the light? Only save the destruction from those who crossed the line and can never be redeemed."

The God of Light rubbed his chin in thought. "A wise decision. The ones who have crossed that horizon should not be spared."

"Like Thales and his irks." Sothis muttered.

"We are still keeping the Grimm here, as we are keeping Salem's curse as well." The God of Darkness said. "She still needs to learn not to mess with the delicate balance. We are doing the same with Ozma as well. He still needs to unite humanity in some capacity."

"Something tells me that Salem will not learn, no matter how hard you try. Same thing with Ozma, but who knows? While we're on the topic, why didn't you tell Salem that Ozma may be gone from the world, but promise her that once she too left this world, she can reunite with Ozma in the afterlife, and reincarnate together? They'll find each other in a better life. That way, you could have avoided this." Said the child accompanying Aether.

"That's also something I was not aware of, while I was more focused on keeping the balance of life and death. If I had thought of that sooner, it would avoided this." The God of Light admitted.

"I swear you too." Sothis sighed.

"In the meantime." Mewtwo spoke up. "I think it's time you bring magic back to Remnant as well. It may have merged with the Mushroom Kingdom, and Zemuria, which already had magic, but the residents of Remnant should have it as well."

"We will bring magic back… however, instead of everyone having magic, it should be reserved for those who truly desire it." The God of Light explained. "Now then, if there are no more interruptions… we will take our leave."

"Farewell, Rosalina. And farewell to everyone else." The God of Darkness said as they disappeared.

"Well… that went better than expected." Palutena said.

"Bah… I was expecting carnage and destruction. Phooey." Hades said as he turned around. "See you bozos later." He disappeared into a fiery portal.

"Reminds me we need to deal with him later." Sothis scoffed as she and everyone else took their leave while Palutena returned the Garden back to its original size, and then Rosalina fell on her knees, breathing heavily.

"You okay?" Palutena asked, kneeling down by her side.

"Did… did I just… save humanity twice in one week?"

"I believe you did." Palutena said

Meanwhile, with Ozpin…

Ozpin was in Oscar's mind, who was riding train to Minstral.

"Ozma." A voice said as Ozpin turned around and gasped aloud, seeing two dragons before him.

"Y-you…!" He exclaimed in horror. "But I haven't-"

"At ease. We come in peace." The God of Light spoke, causing Ozpin to somewhat relax. "We came to inform you that we had a chat with the one who saved the universe."

"And to tell you to get your act together." The God of Darkness said. "Salem is getting restless and is plotting on making her move, in addition to that, The Relic of Knowledge was already been taken."

"What?!" Ozpin eye widen. "But how?!"

"An organization called Ouroboros took the relic. They somehow managed to take it without using the Spring Maiden."

"Indeed, and while Salem is searching for the Relic of Choice. But Ouroboros is also looking for the Relic of Choice." The God of Light said. "You were careless Ozma but now you arrived at your next incarnation. It's time you start getting more proactive in your duties, Ozma. You may have it well hidden, but it's only a matter of time before one of them find it."

"I… I understand." Ozpin nodded.

"We will take our leave. Farewell, Ozma." The God of Darkness said as they disappeared.

"Ouroboros took the Relic without using the maiden... someone had saved the universe… what is going on here?" Ozpin wondered to himself.

Meanwhile... with Qrow...

Qrow is seen sitting at a bar in Mistral. Oscar approaches him from behind.

"Excuse me?" Oscar called out to him as he face him.

"You know, I don't think they allow kids in here, pipsqueak." Qrow said to Oscar who muttered something as he move his left arm.

"Um, I'm supposed to tell you, I'd like my cane back?" Oscar said as Qrow's eyes widen for a moment in surprise.

Qrow got up from his chair and look at Oscar. "It's good to see you again, Oz." He said as he withdraws Ozpin's Cane in its compact mode and tosses it to Oscar, who presses a button on the hilt, extending the baton. Oscar grasps the baton with the other hand, surprised, before looking at Qrow with a determined face.

"We... have much to discuss." Oscar said.

I'm sure they do. I wonder how they will react when Ouroboros took the relic first. By the way, Did any of you notice the update of the Trails of Cold Steel Nornern War Anime? AWWWWESOME!
