Two Years has passed.
(Trails of Cold Steel III ost - A New Morning)
On April 1 of Zemuria. A lot of time had passed since the civil war ended and that peace was existing just about everywhere… For the time being. In Fodlan… Organization XIII along with Those who Slither in the Dark had attacked Fodlan. Chaos was everywhere. Heartless and Nobodies were attacking many innocent people and taking their hearts. While also many homes were destroyed. Many brave soldiers were even lost due to the hands of Organization XIII. First, they destroyed Garreg Mach and those Who Slither in the Dark took over it. Next was the attack at Embarr which Edelgard and the Black Eagles force to return home and restore Order. Regent of the Kingdom Rufus seize control of Fhirdiad and begin orchestrating a purge of House Fraldarius, thanks to the Blue Lions and Biranne's leadership, all his plans failed and he was executed for the capital offense of treachery, and Almayra's Prince Shahid invaded the Leicester Alliance. Byleth resides in Enbarr with Edelgard and Yuri lives with his mother in the Mushroom Kingdom, not only due to being unsafe of the Kingdom. But also because it's also the land that cured his mother's illness. Dimitri ascended the throne and became King and Brianna became his Queen. As with Rhea, Sothis and the remaining church, they relocated to the Kingdom. While Claude watch over the alliance. All three nations are keeping watch on Garreg Mach to figure out a plan to destroy Those Who Slither in the Dark. Thanks to Sothis who created a barrier that detects Agathans leaving the borders, even Underwater.
In the Mushroom Kingdom. Life was the same as usual. However, due to Gilaith Osborne… relationship with the Mushroom Kingdom and the other nations begin to feel disheartened. But it isn't just the Mushroom Kingdom. The Beanbean Kingdom, Pokemon Regions, and even Bowser's Kingdom. Hyrule, Remnant, pretty much all that exists within this world. The only thing that's fortunate is that thanks to Peach and Bowser, they can reunite against Erebonia might and withstand Erebonia's request for more steel and items for their uses. But even so. Things have become complicated for Erebonia. Even while having some good relations with the other nations.
Back in Erebonia, Rean was heading to Thors Branch Campus, as he accepted the job of being in charge of one of the new classes. Rean went off to check on Valimar who was on the very last car of the train. As he arrived he had a nice chat with Valimar. And then two people enter. One is a girl and the other is a young man. And then they both notice Valimar and then check it out. And then she begins to slowly think how she confuse Valimar for a Panzer Soldats but then realized it's a Divine Knight. As both of them are surprised by it. Rean tells them he guess they're from Liberl. Thanks to the tiny hint of accent.
As the train arrived at Leeves after a few minutes. The passengers begin to exit the train.
Rean stepped out of the train and onto the platform. Patrick then appeared as he came up to him
"Heh, it would appear that little has changed." Patrick said. "The Ashen Knight is as beloved by the masses as ever."
"Well, I tried to lay low this past year." Rean replied. "I've turned down all the interview requests I've been bombarded with."
"It's little wonder, then. For a young hero like yourself, such actions only serve to grant you an irresistible air of mystery. The rumors of your role in the Northern War have, by this point, far outstripped the truth."
Rean felt a little uncomfortable about that and Patrick realized his slight error.
"Ah, my apologies. That was a regrettable slip of the tongue." Patrick apologize.
"No it's alright." Rean assured. "It's just something I'll have to deal with."
"Still, but you can't deny the good you done in the Mushroom Kingdom is at least better, right?"
"That's true. The Mushroom Kingdom was the only thing that make me feel calm at least. Thank you, Patrick. For the last year—no, the last two years—you've helped me out more times than I can count."
"Well, that was sudden." Patrick said with a surprised face. But then offer his hand. "Hmph. I have simply been performing my duty as a member of the glorious Class 1. Of course I could spare some consideration for a harpless classmate with barely enough attendants to graduate. On who has unreasonable tasks thrust upon him on a near-daily basis, yet somehow manage to triumph regardless."
"And you said I was sudden." Rean replies and then take Patrick's hand and handshake. "You're serving as the deputy of the marquis' family in Ordis now, right? I'm sure that's no walk in the park, either, but I know you'll give it everything you've got."
"But of course. There's no way I can allow us to fall behind House Albarea. I recommended you do the same for whatever may come at your… unique new workplace. And seeing as she is not so terribly far, so be sure in keep in touch with Lady Elise and His Highness. Perhaps you might even put in a good word-"
"Thanks again for all your help, Patrick. But that's an entirely different matter."
"Guh…" Patrick frowned

Soon the train begin to a signal to prepare departing as Rean and Patrick ended their handshake.
Rean goodbyes to Patrick and left the station. Rean witnessed the first of many interesting sights of Leeves with a small flower garden at the center of a circular path.
"Rean?" A voice called out to him as he looked around until he looked down and saw a familiar face in a military uniform with a tiny hat. Rean was unsure on what to say to that when she giggled. "It really is you Rean! But wow, the magazines don't do you justice. You look so mature now! Did you get taller, too? I almost didn't recognize you!"
"Towa?!" Rean responded first.
"Oh? Did you not recognize me, either? Haha… I definitely haven't gotten taller, but I'm hoping my new work uniform adds some womanly charm. O-Or… maybe shows that my figure's filled out a little bit more—"
"Uh… hold on." Rean said. "It's just that, we haven't seen each other in a while, and I could never get a hold of you. Then you just show up out of nowhere, dressed for work, in the same town I'm about to start working?"
The two of them talked about a few things as they walked along the path and up the pathway before turning left which would take them to the branch campus building and it was just as big as the main campus back in Trista. Except, the campus outside was a lot larger.

(Trails of Cold Steel III ost - Briefing Time)
They then entered inside the main building and Towa guided us to the faculty office. Inside the room were two men, one who was dressed up as a military officer of sorts, and the other man was more casual and he had long red hair.
"Rean Schwarzer. Welcome." The man in the green military uniform greeted. "I am Michael Irving of the Railway Military Police. Branch campus though it may be, I will do my utmost to serve as chief instructor."
"Well well, lucky me. Didn't expect to run into such a celeb at a place like this." The red-haired guy spoke. "Name's Randolph Orlando. Got transferred here from the Imperial Army, Crossbell Unit. I've been hearing your name all over lately. Pleasure to finally meet the man himself."
"Rean?" Towa called as she looked at him with slight concern.
"I'm Rean Schwarzer." He answered. "Just a rookie who recently graduated from Thors Main Campus. Pleased to meet you, Major Irving, 1st Lieutenant Orlando."
"Likewise. It's an honor to be able to work with the famous Ashen Chevalier." Michael replied. "But keep in mind, We're not looking for heroic deeds from you. We're only interested in your aptitudes as an instructor."
"Understood" Rean nodded
Rean then looked at Randolph.
"That look tells me you know a little bit about me." He said. "Been peeking through the Intelligence Division's files, I take it?"
"Yes, I can't deny it." Rean nodded. "From what I can tell, it was a pretty complicated situation that sent you here."
"Hehe, not as complicated as yours. I'm sure."
"A-Anyway! All of us instructors are here now. Major, Instructor Randolph, I'm looking forward to working with you!" Towa replied, noticing the awkward attention from Rean.
"Indeed. I'm curious to see what you'll bring here. Especially after you turned down a position with us. I've been curious to ask why." Nodded Major Irving.
"H-Haha, uh… So you knew about that?" Towa nervous laugh.
"Oh, that so? You must be better than you look for the RMP to roll out the red carpet. I heard you graduated early. What are you, like 17 or something?"
"Umm… actually, I'm 21"
"Wh-What? Nuh-uh! You're seriously only three years younger than me?"
Rean look around and look like he predicted something. "Four Instructors…. That's about what I was expecting. we going to teach the entire curriculum among us, though?"
"Correct. There aren't many students, but it will still require great work on our part. Training, lectures, all manners of miscellaneous task. We will, however, receive assistance from the special adviser and the principal." Major Irvin answered
"We have a special adviser? And what's our principal like?"
"Well…"
"Let's just say that out of all the people in this great, big empire… I never thought I'd meet someone quite as intense as our principal." Randolph's nervous smile.
"Really?" Rean asked
"H-Haha… Try not to be too shocked, okay?" Towa nervous laugh. "You've actually met her before Rean…"
The door behind us opened. He turned to see two familiar faces, one who was Professor G Schmidt. But the other was Aurelia Le Guin. Rean was surprised to see them.
"Hmph. Whatever is that slack-jawed expression for?" Schmidt remarked. "I believe we met during the civil war, or have you already forgotten my face? Not that I give a whit either way."
"N-No… of course not. It's good to see you again, professor Schmidt. I've always appreciated how you helped me with Valimar's Tachi." Rean respond
"As I said before; save it. Though my title is 'special adviser,' I plan to focus only on my research. Do endeavor to make yourself useful to me, Schwarzer… or should I say, Ashen Awakener."
Major Irvin sighed
"I'm starting to understand why I got hired here in the first place." Rean sighed. "I never imagined I would meet you here."
"It's been about half a year, hasn't it, Schwarzer?" She said. "Well, since we've all gathered, allow me to say a few words about myself. During the civil war has been long over. I am Aurelia Le Guin, I was a general of the defeated Noble Alliance. I then oversaw the Northern War, resulting in the annexation of North Ambria. But as of today, think of me as: Aurelia Le Guin, Principal of Thor's Branch Campus."
"All that, packed into one woman." Randolph said. "Guess it's not so crazy for you to be here after all. Huh, Major?"
Michael looked away. "Hmph. Principal Le Guin, it's time. Shall we proceed?"
"Yes, let's begin." Aurelia answered. "Herschel. Gather up our fledlings and bring them to the grounds"
"Y-Yes, ma'am. I'll see you soon, Rean." Towa respond
She left the room.
"All righty, time to see what guys and girls we've got this year." Randolph stretched a little.
"Schwarzer. See to it that you're aren't late." Michael added as he and Randolph left the room with the professor.
"L-Late? To what?" Rean asked.
"To our entrance ceremony, of course." Aurelia replied.
Rean was surprised. "What? I had no idea..."
"Heh. That would be because we set the time and date without telling you. You'll even be meeting your fledglings there. Exciting, no? Show them what it means to be the Ashen Chevalier."

(Trails of Cold Steel III ost - Joint Lesson)
Rean put on a pair of glasses to look more professional and he left with the principal, leaving the building and making his way down a ramp that took him to an open ground area where a large group of students were waiting. As the students notice and gossip with Rean's appearance. There was someone else among the students.
"Attention! I will have silence!" Michael spoke as the several conversations stopped. "We will now begin the entrance ceremony for Thors Military Academy's Branch Campus! The opening speeches will be omitted! We will begin by announcing class assignments!" He paused as Randolph and Towa received a clipboard each with papers on them. "First, Class VIII: Combat Tactics. The Instructor is Randolph Orlando!"
"Right. Step forward when I call your name." Randolph said as he brought the paper out. "Jessica, Wayne, Sidney, Maya, Ash, Freddy, Gustaf and Leonora. You eight."
Eight students came forward, standing near him.
"Next! Class IX: Military Finance! The instructor is Towa Herschel!" Michael declared.
"Umm, I'll call out names now." Towa said. "Sandy, Kairi, Tita, Louise, Tatiana, Valerie, Musse, Pablo and Stark. There are nine of you in total."
The nine other students came up to her, that left four students, one guy who had short blue hair, The other has dark blue hair that borders on black, with short twin braids that fade into an aqua color, the other was a girl with long pink hair, and the last one is Altina Orion.
"Silent!" Major Irvin called out "We will now have a word from our Principal."
As Aurelia gave out her words of wisdom which she made sure to pay attention to, Rean had a think over the four remaining. Once the speech was over, the two classes left, leaving just the remaining students and blond girl who was with the professor.
"Principal, could I get you to announce the final class?" Rean asked.
"Very well." Aurelia nodded. "We'll be picking up after the main campus's classes I through VI with our own classes VII through IX." She then looked at the three students. "The four of you make up Class VII: Special Operations. Your instructor will be him, Rean Schwarzer."
"Follow me this way." Michael answered.
They left the ground and along a path that took them towards to the Einhel Keep.
"Wow, I looked over the blueprints, but I didn't think it would be this big." The blonde haired girl commented in slight happiness.
"Don't get so excited. This facility is nothing remarkable." Schmidt said. "As I explained before, much of your duties will be performed here under my direction. I expect nothing short of raw talent from a Russell."
"Y-Yes sir."
"Combat Tactics and Military Finance are undergoing their orientations at the moment." Michael said to us. "Special Operations will be having an orienteering exercise. You must make it through this facility in one piece."
" 'In one piece'? What does that mean?" pink hair girl asked
"What is this building for?" Blue hair boy asked
"This is called Einhel Keep." Schmidt answered. "It was built in conjunction with the branch campus for testing new methods of training. The interior is fully controllable via orbal technology and features variable difficulty levels."
"Difficulty levels? Oh so it's like those levels in those video games!" The Dark blue boy said as he thinks.
"That's one way of putting it, yes. It's like those video game but instead it's real life, boy. As for your exercise, you will be combating monsters and such unleashed within the keep."
"Now I understand. Special operations indeed." Rean said. "I guess this is a fitting enough exercise, giving our class's name."
"With that said, don't assume it will be the same as the old Class VII you were part of." Michael reminded. "Rather than an experimental clash between social classes, this one will act as an established task force for assignments in the field. And as an instructor, you will have your students see each assignment through."
"It's all coming together." Rean nodded in agreement.
"H-hold on just a second!" The pink-haired girl interrupted. "We did what you said and came here, but what the heck is all this crap?! This is just...rgh! I mean, no one ever told me I was being put in some shady black ops squad."
"Your placement in Class VII was the result of your aptitude test, Cadet Crawford." Michael responded. "If you are dissatisfied, you have the option to pack your bags and return to the Military Police Academy." He said as Michael turn to Rean. "Instructor Schwarzer, you, and the four students will enter the Keep and stand by for further instructions." Michael replied as he handed Rean five small orbs, those had of be the master quartz. "While on stand by, the Professor will explain the qualifications as you brief them on the use of the ARCUS Alpha."
"Understood." Rean nodded.
"Finally, we can begin the trial." Schmidt sighed. "Disciple candidate, don't dawdle! Everything must be up and running in ten minutes."
"Y-yes!" Tita replied as they both went inside the building.

(Trails of Cold Steel III - A Heretic Researcher)
As Michael remained outside, they arrived at the main entrance area, Tita and Schmidt walked up a stairway.
"A facility full of untested mechanisms certainly sounds like a playground for the professor." Rean said. "So how much do you already know?"
"Nothing too specific." Altina answered. "The above ground portion is a cube measuring 50 arge on each side, and the below ground area is still being expanded."
"Are the two of you already acquainted?" The short-haired guy asked.
"We are, I just had no idea she'd be one of my students. But that's neither here nor there." Rean replied. "Let's start with introductions while everything's being prepped. I just got here early today, so we haven't had a chance to speak with you two yet. I'm-"
"Why even bother introducing yourself?" The pink-haired girl interrupted, folding her arms. "We all know you're Rean Schwarzer, the Ashen Chevalier. The big hero who put an end to the Erebonian Civil War when he was just a student. Not to mention the occupation of Crossbell. I'm sure everyone in Erebonia knows how you are. Probably everyone in Crossbell too."
"In addition, you resolved incident after incident across the empire as part of your schoolwork." The short-haired guy added. "Then during the Northern War last October, you worked alongside General Le Guin and Brigadier General Bardias to annex North Ambria."
"Le Guin? Like, our principal?" The pink-haired girl gasped. "Wait, what?! And he helped occupy North Ambria?"
"You're both very well informed, but calling me a hero is a bit much." Rean said.
"Heehee. How modest of you, Mr Hero. Ah, my apologize. I mean Instructor." Chuckled the dark blue hair boy
"But I still like to say a little about myself. As you know, I'm Rean Schwarzer, a graduate of Thors Military Academy's main campus. I got my diploma just last month and I'm starting as an instructor here at the branch campus today. I'll be overseeing martial arts and Panzer Soldat training outside the classroom. Inside the classroom, I'll be teaching History. That is of course, in addition to being the homeroom teacher of Class VII: Special Operations."
"I'll go next." The short-haired guy said. "My name is Kurt Vander, I'm from the capital. I've heard more than just the common stories about you."
"Ah, I get it. That would make you General Zechs's and Colonel Mueller's..." Rean said before pausing.
"Yes. Mueller is my older brother, and Zechs is my uncle." Kurt finished. "Though I'm aware that I look nothing like them."
"Well for me, looks don't matter, it's all about potential." Stated the dark blue boy said. "Pleasure to meet you, Kurt."
"Likewise." He turned to Rean. "By the way, are those glasses fake? They don't look good on you at all. You should probably get rid of them."
The Dark blue hair boy smirked. "Ouch! Kurt used verbal roast! It's super effective!" He said as the pink-haired girl laughed.
"Fashion is not clearly their intend function." Altina said.
"Anyways, you're up next." Rean spoke to the girl.
She took a moment to calm down. "I'm Juna Crawford. I transferred here from the Crossbell Police Academy. And honestly, I'd rather not be here… but if that' how it's gonna be, then I'll just have no make the most of it!"
Rean Sweatdrop. "Ahh, Crossbell. I had my suspicions. So when you say 'police academy' you're talking about the Military Police Academy, right?"
"There was no 'military' slapped on the name before the annexation! You guys are the now who changed it! Are you saying I can only call it by the 'official name the great and powerful Erebonia has blessed it with?!"
"No, that's… not what I meant. Sorry. I was being insensitive." Rean apologize.
"Um… Juna, was it? Don't you think you were being… irate?" The dark blue hair boy asked
"Well… I might have overreacted. But I still don't accept that name." June replied
"Yeah. That's completely understandable." Rean nodded
"There there Juna." The Dark blue hair boy smiled. "Oh, I should go next then." The Dark blue hair boy smiled and waved. "I'm Venti Zachary. I'm someone who loves music and play the Flute and telling stories. So I guess you can say I'm a Bard."
"A bard?" Kurt asked
"Ah, I see. I had a friend of mine who enjoys making singing and listening to music. I'm sure he will love to hear your music and storytelling." Rean smiled.
"Hehe. You flatter me, Instructor. Oh. And I should point out that I'm not Erebonian." Venti smiled
"Wait, you're not?" Juna look at him and asked
"Yep. I'm from Liberl. From the capital of Bose. The second largest capital in Liberl. So guess I'm not the only abroad student here. Heehee."
"Yeah, I guess you're right."
"I'm last then." Altina said as she introduced herself to the other two. "Altina Orion, formerly part of the Imperial Army's Intelligence Division. My affiliation with them ended upon enrolling here...on paper. Please, think nothing of it."
"I feel as though I just heard something I shouldn't have." Kurt said.
"The Intelligence Division is pretty hardcore, isn't it?" Juna asked. "Hold up, what do you mean on paper?"
Altina smiled a little bit. "Slip of the tongue, oops..."
"Well… at least that's a… sense of humor." Venti sweatdrop.
"Thank you for waiting!" Tita's voice spoke from somewhere. "Preparations are now complete for the Level 0 Einhel trial. If you haven't already, please set your ARCUS Alpha now."
"Understood, give us just a moment." Rean replied . "Each of you were given one of these, right?"
Rean pulled out a hand-held device from his pocket. It resembles like that of a Scroll in it's closed state.
"Ah, that." Kurt said.
"That's right. I also received one of these." Venti answered
"I was sent one, I thought it was some sort of keychain or something. But then it said it was an ARCUS Alpha." Juna added as they pulled out the ARCUS Alpha closed state.
"That's right. I completely understand you thought that way. But good thing it isn't. This is a battle ornament. Normal battle orbments are personal devices that link with their users and can produce a variety of effects. They can improve your physical abilities, and allow you to cast orbal arts, among other things. But this is the newest Model- the ARCUS Alpha. Predecessor of the ARCUS II. I was told it's unlike any battle Orbment in existence. It can do many things."
"Interesting." Kurt amused
"So this is the ARCUS Alpha? It's completely different from the Enigma models in Crossbell." Juna replied
"Same thing with Liberl too. But they look more advance. But it doesn't look like anything from the Enigma." Venti added
"Yeah, I have to agree... So who design this?" Juna asked
"To be precise, they are the product of a collaboration between the Reinford Company, Epstein Foundation, Gadd Science Incorporated, Atlas technology and the help of Ludwig von Koopa of Bowser's Kingdom. " Altina inform the group.
"That's… a lot of company I don't know about… Also, who's Ludwig von Koopa? And Bowser's Kingdom?"
"Well Ludwig is... a very capable man... so to speak. As for the ARCUS Alpha, I was told it has many multipurpose that's unlike anything I know from the ARCUS units. So I only know the things we know. And I'm told if you press this button right here." Rean said as he pressed the Circle Button. Then it open the smartphone size.
"Whoa!" Juna exclaimed.
"It… open?" Kurt title his head.
"Yep. And if you see this button." Rean pointed at the button on the left-side. It open a sliding hatch and revealed Slots and Lines for Quartz and Master Quarts. But also a sub-Master Quartz. (Think of it as a Samsung Galaxy s22 Ultra with a button to activate a slide.)
"Whoa…" Venti blinked as he look at his and activate it. "Cool!"
"Whoa indeed… this is way more advanced than I expected." Juna agreed.
"Perhaps it's thanks to the work of the combine companies I mention." Altina said. "I assume these models are combat-ready?"
"Yeah, I'll explain how they work." Rean answered. "Now, each of you take one of these."
Then Rean headed out five master quartz to each of the four students. Altina take the time element, Juna take the earth element, Kurt take the wind element and Venti take the mirage element.
"We get master quartz?" Kurt asked in surprise.
"The Enigmas did have these." Juna replied
"The basic should be the same. Except this time, it will show you something incredible." Rean said. "Go ahead and set your master quartz in the central slot."
"Copy that." Venti nodded
"Yes, sir." Kurt nodded
Juna title her head "Uhh, here?"
Soon the students begin to place in their master quartz in the central slot. Once it did. They felt the aura as they are sync.
"Whoa..." Juna respond in surpise
"I can feel it working." Kurt added
"Master Quartz detected in ARCUS Alpha Unit." A computerized voice said.
"Whoa, what the heck?!" Juna exclaimed.
"A voice?" Kurt asked
"It came from the ARCUS Alpha!" Venti exclaimed.
"Scanning… Master Quart identified; Earth/Fire/Time/Wind/Mirage Quartz Skuld/Brigid/Sirius/ Deva/Avalon." The computerized voice said.
"As you can all see. It has a computer system installed. It can tell you the type of Master Quartz you're using along with its name and capability." Rean explained
"That's… quite an amazing work of technology." Kurt said.
"Now that you've set your master quartz, you're synced with your ARCUS units. You should be able to notice a significant difference in combat."
"Now that you mention it. I did feel something different." Venti nodded
"Alright." Kurt said.
"Oookay, now this is new..." Juna trailed off.
"How long do you intend to keep me waiting?" Schmidt asked in a grumpy tone.
"Sorry, Professor, we're ready." Rean replied.
"Then let us not waste any more time! Level 0 begins on Floor B1. The trial will be considered completed once you return to ground level."
"Professor, isn't that red lev...S-Sir! You shouldn't use that!" The blonde girl exclaimed.
"Oh, don't act like you have a lick of common sense. You're Albert's granddaughter! It's time we saw what Class VII: Special Operations is made of. I'm curious to see if you can survive with a passing score!"
Then Rean felt something is gonna happen at the floor.
"Hey! Watch the floor!" Rean shout as the trap has been activated underneath him and his students.
"Huh?" Juna eye widen
"Wha-?!" Kurt exclaimed
"Eh?" Venti look surprised
"Altina, You-" "Claiomh Solais." Altina summoned Claiomh Solais as it carried her. "Never Mind." Rean said as he slide down.
(BGM ended)
Juna, Kurt and Venti were already sliding down. Juna on top of Kurt in an awkward position. While Venti was safe and he's already up.
Juna groaned. "Wh-What happened? I remember that professor talking, then the floor opened up..."
"Well... this is an awkward situation you're in." Venti nervous smile.
"What do you mean by that?"
"Umm... it was Juna, correct?" Kurt asked from Juna's chest.
"Huh?"
(Trails of Cold Steel III ost - The 2nd Branch's Routine)
Juna turn and see Kurt is placed in an awkward position.
"My apologies, but if you could move... It's not that your heavy, but I'm having trouble breathing."
Rean and Altina caught up and they saw the scene as well.
"Well then..." Rean said as he remember the same thing that happen to him. 'History repeats itself.'
"The floor appears to be padded, so bruising should not be an issue." Altina said. "How strangely like the obscene positions you often find yourself in, Instructor Rean."
"Please don't say things that'll give people the wrong impression." Rean replied. "Oh, wow. I'm surprised you're already calling me an instructor."
"That is your current designation."
Juna got off Kurt and she was ready to blow a fuse, while Kurt stood up and remained calm.
"I assure you, I didn't intend for this to happen. Then again, I suppose intent is irrelevant." Kurt said. "I won't make any further excuses. You may hit me, if it'll make you feel better."
Juna however, took the opposite approach. "Ha…Haha, how very admirable of you. You being so calm about it just pisses me off even more. So I think I'll take you up on that!"

"Hmph! Erebonian boys are just so..ugh!"
"N-Now now Juna. Not ALL Erebonian boys are… well… well-mannered. So don't accuse all of them are the same." Venti sweatdrop.
"And I do not believe his nationality was a factor." Altina said.
"You were just a little unlucky." Rean added.
"Not unlucky. I lack the expertise to make a proper landing." Kurt replied. "That resulted in embarrassment for one of my classmates, I admit my fault."
"I see…" Rean said. 'He's so mature at his age.' He thought. "Well, minus one stringing cheek, the four of you look fine to me. So it's time to begin storming the keep. But first, I'll need each of you to show me your weapons."
Juna had calmed down at that point. "This whole thing is a joke, right? Do we really have to play along?"
"I know the professor. And he isn't the type to joke around." Rean said. "He's serious about measuring each of our abilities. I want to learn everyone's combat styles so we can work together and get out of here safely."
"Understood, these are my weapons." Kurt said as he brought a pair of swords.
"Two swords?" Juna asked
"That takes skill." Altina said
"Impressive. You must have some stamina then." Venti added
"You're using the Vander school's duel-blade style, then. I knew of it, but I've never met a practitioner." Rean said
"I admit, our greatsword style has far more notoriety. But that style also requires one to be born with a broader physique. These blades are better suited for the likes of me."
"I didn't realized. Well, Juna. How about you?"
Juna seemed hesitant a little. "I'm still not down for all this, but I get it, this is a military academy, so here you go." She then brought out a pair of batons.
"Another dual-wielder." Kurt said.
"You use side-handed batons?" Altina asked.
"They look a little more complicated than that." Rean pointed out. "What are they, exactly?"
"These are gun-breakers. Special tonfa with guns installed, developed by the only CGF." Juna replied. "They can switch between melee and mid-range firing."
Altina hummed. "An intriguing weapon."
"So it can be used for various situation. That's amazing Juna!" Venti complimented.
"Why thank you." She then smirked. "And they'll be way more useful than weapons as old as the Great Collapse."
Kurt said nothing as Juna scoffed
"Well, in that case, I'll go next." Venti said and then pulled from his back was an Interesting looking bow. The bow design is Sky-blue like bow. (It's the Elegy for the End Bow)
"A bow?" Juna asked
"An Orbal Bow probably? That's an interesting design." Rean added
"Heehee. This bow is custom-made. It does more than shoot one Arrow. Why I can shoot up to three to five arrows." Venti smirked
"Three to five arrows at once?!" Juna exclaimed
"That takes some skill and accuracy." Altina added
"While it does for "orbal" energy, I can still use it like any other bows when firing an arrow. Regardless, I can support you from the back." Venti wink.
"We'll see where everyone stands once we've engaged in actual combat." Rean said. "You're up next, Altina."
"Understood." She replied.
"Hold up, there's something I've been wondering for a while now." Juna said. "Who let a kid enroll at a military academy."
"I've been curious about that myself." Kurt added.
"She said she claimed to be with the Intelligence Division, but surely she won't be joining us." Venti added
"Well, personally, I agree, but…"
"There is no need for concern." Altina replied. "My psychical age is approximately 14 years old. I am no small child."
" 'Ph-Physical age'? No, you're definitely small." Juna stated
"I also have my weapon—the basis for my admittance into the Intelligence Division."
Her black puppet then appeared behind her, which surprised the other three students.
"What the hell?" Juna exclaimed
"A black doll?" Venti asked
"This explains that black shadow I thought I saw earlier." Kurt said
"Claiomh Solais—a combat shell. The latest version of the line of special weaponry. Further details are classified. Suffice to say, it will contribute to our overall fighting."
"Umm… Are things like that normal in the empire?" Juna asked Kurt.
"Of course not. It's my first time seeing something like this, too." Kurt answered
"Well it's ordinary, I'll admit." Venti added
"I don't blame either of you for having questions, but we can save those for another time." Rean said. "By the way, this is my weapon."
He brought out his tachi sword, a weapon that I had got to learn about for a while.
"Of course. The Tachi is used by students of the Eight Leaves One Blade School." Kurt replied
"Just like back then…" Juna muttered quietly. "Er! I mean, it's just like the sword Arios used."
"You mean the Divine Blade of Wind?" Venti asked
"Right. It's not an Imperial-style sword. It comes from the East. Haha. I guess the Divine Blade of Wind is pretty famous in Crossbell, huh?" Rean nervous laugh.
"A lot happened, but he still has plenty of fans. Even when a certain empire has made him a wanted man." June growled
"Wait… what?" Venti look surprised.
"Yeah… I suppose so. That covers everyone, then. Let's be on our way. We're currently on floor B1. If we make it back to ground level, this little trial will be over." Rean continued. "I'll give you some tips along the way on combat, how to use arts, and your ARCUS units. Follow me and proceed carefully and deliberately."
Juna scoff. "Okay! Let's just go!"
"I'll give it my all." Kurt nodded
"Commence mission." Altina said.
"I'll support you with all I can." Venti replied
They went through the opened door and began their trial through the Keep, they soon spotted the first monster, a bouncing rat. This was a test for these students as well, Rean and the four students charged in for their first battle.
As the students along with Rean. Venti kept his distance as the archer positioned and shoot from the distance. The monster rats charge and growl and they fight against them team. The group then eventually finish them off.
"Phew." Not bad for our first battle." Rean said. "No one's hurt, right?"
"I'm unharmed." Kurt answered
"We're fine, but..." Juna trailed off as she and the others put away their weapons. "Um... Altina, right? You, uh... you're not bad."
"You are correct." Altina replied as her combat shell disappeared
"It appears and reappeared." Venti nervously laughed.
Juna sighed "I can't keep up."
"I still find it hard to believe that such a thing as combat shells exist." Kurt agreed. "And it seems like she's very skilled at controlling it."
"That much is true." Rean nodded "But it's also true that she's younger than the three of you. You three seem experienced in combat, so I'd appreciate if you could support her."
"I-I planned to do that from the start, anyway." Juna replied before turning to Venti. "Still those are some sweet moves Venti."
Venti chuckled. "Thanks. I have been practicing being creative as well as being flexible. All those training prove well."
"Well, they are creative as you admit, and it's very effective." Kurt nodded. "It doesn't seem like the monsters will be too much of a problem, so we shouldn't have any problems. I'm sure Crossbell's 'cutting'edge' weapons will show their worth... eventually."
"And there they go antagonizing each other." Venti sighed.
"You have a difficult year ahead of you." Altina said to Rean.
"Don't talk like it doesn't involve you..." Rean sighed. "Come on everyone, let's keep moving."
They then moved onwards, and soon they found an orbment charging station. finding a treasure chest along the way and opening it.
Next a new monster appeared and was a Grimm. A Beowolf.
"A Grimm?!" Rean said in shocked.
"W-Wait… Are those the really dangerous monsters that's been going around?" Juna asked.
"The Creatures of Grimm. They originally hail from the Remnant. However, they're attracted to negative emotions, such as envy, sadness, anger and such." Altina explained.
"Then it sounds to me that you might have brought it here." Kurt comment as he look at Juna.
"Ex-CUSE me!?" Juna growled.
"And you caught its attention." Venti said as the Beowolf growled and then charge at them.
"Be careful everyone! These Grimms are dangerous so watch out!" Rean command as he and the others ready for battle.
Juna then begin to switch to gunbreaker move on her batons. Rean clash with the Beowolf as monster rats join it. Venti use his Crafts and fire green arrows toward the monsters as Juna shot them. Kurt begin to strike at the Beowolf as he begin to launch some claw attacks toward him, but he block it and counter attack it. Rean and Altina strike while Juna and Kurt help finishes the rest of the monsters off and Venti shoot a green arrow at the Beowolf forehead and turn it to ash.
"And that takes care of that." Venti said.
"But why is a Grimm included?" Rean wondered.
"Is it not obvious?" Schmidt asked. "The creatures of Grimm are no different than monsters."
"Well he's right about that…" Venti sweatdrop. "Still, was that necessary Kurt?"
"I'm not the one who outburst like that." Kurt said as he look away and Juna look pissed at him. "But it was immature of me. So I apologize."
"We should keep going. If there are more Grimm here. We should be careful." Altina advised.
"Right… Lets go everyone." Rean nodded
They continue onward until a larger monster appeared with sharp claws. Now this is the time they learn about combat links. They begin to fight the big monsters while Juna and Kurt link up for the first time. And Rean and Altina did theirs. Soon they defeated the monster and see how amazing the combat links are in battle. But then see one of the monsters was paralyzed. Soon they ended the battle.
"Not bad, you guys got to work." Rean praised his students.
"So that was a combat link." Kurt amused.
"I-It felt like I was completely in synch with everyone else." Juna added
"I detected no issues with linking between our current members. It appears we will have no is use going forward." Altina replied
"Yeah, combat linking will be very important for our upcoming battles." Rean nodded "Try to use it as often as possible so you get used to the feeling." He said as they put away their weapons. "That's all for the basics of battle. Any questions so far?"
"I do. What was that paralysis that appears on the monsters so sudden?" Venti asked
"Good question. It's part of the ARCUS Alpha systems called Break System."
"Break System?" Juna asked
"So far from what I know, The Break System temporally disable the monsters or anyone and let their guard down completely. This means you can attack and follow up as much as you want before they recover."
"That sounds important." Kurt replied
"Right. We should make use of that." Venti nodded.
"So any other questions?" Rean asked
"None from me." Kurt answered
"Same for me." Venti nodded
"Me neither." Juna sighed before turning to Altina. "But I can't believe a battle orbment this advanced has already been used in real combat. You seem to know a lot about what's going on. Are you involved with it, somehow?"
"Now that you mention it, she does seem to know her way around it." Kurt nodded
"No, it' simply because I have experience with the previous model. But it would be fair to say this new model is the result of the tests Instructor Rean and his classmates ran two years ago." Altina explained
"Oh? I have no idea."
"On top of everything else, you helped make this too?!" Juna look irritated.
"You certainly are a busy man, aren't you Instructor." Venti sweatdrop.
"No, not just me. My whole classmates can take credit for that. We weren't the only ones who participated in the operational tests, either." Rean explain. "But I am rather curious about it's new functions."
"H-Hmph. For someone called the Ashen Chevalier, you're pretty humble, aren't you?" Juna asked
"I...don't really think that has anything to do with it." Then Rean notice Kurt was thinking. "Was there something else you wanted to ask me?"
Kurt shake his head. "No, nothing. I understand some part of the ARCUS Alpha can do now. But the rest remains a mystery. Let's continue."
"Yeah... I'd rather not be wandering around down here any longer than I need to!" Juna nodded
"Shall we then?" Venti said as he, Kurt and Juna advance first before Rean and Altina catch up.
As they advance further. They begin to encounter the larger monster this time. Similar to the mini mutated slime. Soon they begin to combat it and use their crafts to defeat the monsters and it's minions. They were able to defeat the minions as the large monster was defeated on the ground. Once that happen, Juna and Kurt turn their back which is a bad idea in front of the it. It was going to attack from behind until Rean use his power and defeated the monster for real. After that. They learn an important lesson to never turn your back on your enemy until it's confirmed it's defeated. Soon they begin to arrive near the end of the trial. Then begin to found an orbal stand nearby, a chance to rest up a little before going further. They went up the stairs and entered a large area with a light shining from above.
"There it is, the exit." Venti said
"Phew. Is that finally the way out up there?" Juna asked.
"The way back to the ground floor. It appears we've reached the designated point." Altina confirmed.
"Yeah, it seems so." Rean nodded.
"Sheesh, what is wrong with Erebonians?!" Juna sighed. "What are you all thinking, building an insane place like this on a school campus?!"
Kurt sighed. "I'd appreciate if you didn't lump us all together like that. The Professor... He really is the famous G. Schmidt, isn't he?"
"Yeah... for better or worse." Rean answered "Though I have no clue why he's here at the branch cam-" "Huh?"
(BGM ended)
Rean then heard Venti notice surprise as he stares at the distance to the stairs leading to the exit.
"Is something wro-" Then Rean paused as he sense something. "Wait a second."
"Be on alert, I have detected a spike in mana." Altina warned.
"In what?" Juna asked.
"Mana?" Kurt asked
(Trails of Cold Steel III ost - Abrupt Visitor)
"You guys need to get out of there right away!" The blond girl alerted them.
"Here it comes!" Venti called out.
Suddenly, a magic knight appeared in front of them.
"I-Is this thing…A panzer soldat?" Juna exclaimed.
"No this is-" Altina then got interrupted as the Magic Knight roared,
"It's a Magic Knight! An Orbal Golem from the dark ages! Professor Schmidt! Are you responsible for this?!" Rean asked
"I happened to acquire a few of these antique machines when they appeared during the civil war." Schmidt spoke. "Though its output is, lamentably, inferior to Panzer Soldats, its ability to act autonomously is useful. This will be your final challenge in this trial."
"Krgh! Is he serious!?" Kurt exclaimed
"Well, we're in quite the dilemma." Venti sighed
"What is wrong with him?! This is going too far!" Juna added
Rean looked worried, he raise his hand out, possibly to call in for Valimar.
"Heed my call, Valimar-"
"The use of a divine knight is prohibited for this trial!" Schmidt interrupted. "Level 0 was not calibrated to account for its intervention. Were you to use it against such an opponent, the data I receive would be useless. You do have other options available to you Schwarzer. Or, if you'd prefer, you may choose to activate the new function installed in the ARCUS Alphas."
"Please activate, Brave Order!" Tita said. "Olivier-er, Prince Olivert said that you would be able to use it for sure, instructor!"
"I bid you felicitations on your recent graduation, delayed by duty through it was, I also wish to thank you from the bottom of my heart, Rean. These may seem on the paltry side as a gift for such an occasion, but I'd like for each of you to have the newly completed ARCUS Alpha. You'll find some interesting features added into it. But there is a little more fun than that. Just for you. There are a few other new functions that can only be described as 'brilliant', so do give them a try next time you find yourself in a pinch." Olivert said to him.
"All right, will do!" Rean replied as he pulled out his ARCUS Alpha as they felt an aura of power around them, it wasn't like a social link, but something else.
"Prepare to engage in combat!" Rean commanded as the Magic Knight approached and Rean pointed his Tachi at it. "Brave Order! Class VII: Special Operations! Put everything you have into defeating the target!"
"Yeah!" The students shout
"Let's go, Raging Fire formation!" Rean ordered.
Then Class VII felt a power up as they glow red and then they charge at the Magic Knight who slam it's fist. Venti use his craft and then shoot three wind arrows at the magic knight making it unbalanced for Altina to strike. Then Rean use one of his new crafts and cause it to go unbalanced. Then Kurt begin to strike it. While Juna use her craft and strike at it. The magic Knight let out a roar and then Altina scanned the magic knight and weaken it. Then Venti use his craft again and made it unbalanced. Then Kurt use his craft and strike it. Leaving an opening for Rean. Then the magic knight made a projection attack and damage some of the students. Altina counterattack it and then Rean use his craft and then allow hurt to strike. The Magic Knight then enhance itself and then roared and buff itself. But Juna use her Craft and then the Magic Knight launched a punch attack and push Juna back as she crash onto Kurt But then Venti launched five arrows at it and got it's attention as approached Venti. Then Rean and Altina attack it at once. Juna and Kurt got up and then they begin to have their revenge on the Magic Knight until it was on break mode. Soon they begin an all out attack on it. Then Venti use his craft and Altina strike. Then Venti delivered the final bow. Even though it was weak, it still put up a good fight, but we overcame it when I delivered the last blow and it explode into purple light.

The students were on the ground tired and panted.
Juna panted. "W-We did it."
"Phew...that was hard work." Venti sighed.
"Stamina depleted. A short rest is required." Altina said.
"You guys did amazing! The trial is complete!" The blond girl declared. "But you took this way too far, professor!"
"Hmm, that was faster than I expected." Schmidt spoke to himself. "I'll have to increase the difficulty next time."
"Could you please listen to me?!"
"This trial was completely absurd." Kurt muttered.
" 'Next time'? Is he gonna make us go through all that again?" Juna asked
"The probability seems high." Altina answered
"Now I understand what it feels to be in a madman's domain." Venti sighed.
"At least that put an end to our orienteering exercise." Rean replied as he reach his hand out to Juna.
Juna sighed as took his hand to get back up. Then he did the same in getting Kurt, Altina and Venti up.

"Great job, class. You all handled the first test with Brave Order very well. I'm proud of you." Rean praised. "There are some areas each of you could improve on, but you need to tackle them one at a time."
(Trails of Cold Steel III ost - Now, Thing to Do)
"I'm sure today hasn't installed you with much faith in the idea of Class VII. Your class size and this trial are bound to raise some red flags. Then you have an instructor who's only just graduated. What if he doesn't know what he's doing? Like I said: if you want to transfer to Classes VIII or IX, I swear that I'll make it happen. But it's something I want you to decide for yourselves. Think hard about what you believe, what you want to accomplish, what kind of future you want, and most importantly, who you are. Only you can figure out if Class VII is the right place for you. Take all that to heart, and I know you'll have your answer." Rean said.
Juna was the first to respond as she looked at Rean. " Juna Crawford, reporting. From today, I will be part of Class VII: Special Operations. Don't get the wrong idea, okay? it's not because I want to. I never wanted to come to this school. I'd much rather be back in Crossbell. I don't like Erebonia and I don't think much of you, either."
"So it seems." Rean replied.
"But throughout the entire exercise, your guidance was clear and accurate. If you weren't with us, we never would've beaten that thing. Honestly. It's infuriating, and I'm annoyed I couldn't show off what I learned at the police academy. That's why I'm going to stay in Class VII until I prove myself. Until I can show up an annoying hero like you, Ashen Chevalier."
"The 'annoying' part side, you really don't need to keep calling me a hero. But you know what? I respect that kind of determination. Welcome to Class VII, Juna."
"Got it!"
Kurt was next to speak on the matter. "Kurt Vander, reporting. I will also join Class VII. That said, I have no definitive reason for doing so."
"A definitive reason?" Venti asked.
"I simply have no objections to the branch campus's decision to place me in this class. If anything, I'm grateful for the chances it'll give me to test my skills in real combat. I couldn't face my family if I allowed the blades I inherited to rust."
"So their heirlooms?" Juna asked.
"Metaphorical." Altina corrected. "He means the will of the Vander school."
"I'm also interesting in seeing what the Eight Leaves can do." Kurt then showed a slight smirk. "But so far, I'm not impressed."
"Woah! That's way out of line!" Juna said.
Venti laugh. "Looks who talking."
Altina frowned. "I do not believe you're in any position to say that."
"Well, that's because I'm still learning, just like you guys." Rean replied. "That aside, welcome aboard, Kurt."
"Thank you." Kurt nodded.
"As for me." Venti smiled as he was next to speak. "Of course, I'm staying in Class VII. I don't exactly have a good reason but. All I can say is I want to get stronger, and by staying in this class helps me with that. As well as this class has pretty interesting people and adventures might await."
"Interesting people, huh?" Juna asked.
"You're making it sound like we're going on some adventure in the progress." Kurt replied.
Venti chucked. "Who knows. Let us see what the future holds for us."
Then they turn to Altina.
"What about you, Altina?" Rean asked.
"There is no need for confirmation. While the details are classified, I intend to follow the protocols of the mission-"
"No, Altina. That's not what I mean." Rean said. "The answer needs to come from you. I won't accept your participation unless you chose this. I don't care who originally placed you here, whether it was the principal, the Intelligence Division, or even the Imperial Government. Why do you want to stay? It can be anything."
"And it... can't be what I said?" Altina was then lost in thought until she had something on her mind.
"Hey! Why are you picking on her so much?!" Juna pouted. "I still don't get how you guys know each other, but you can't talk like that to a little girl who-"
"I can't think of a reason. All that comes to mind is how much I've supported you on all of your operations this past year. If I'm to be at the branch campus, it is only right that I be in your class. It was also Class VII who once stood in the way of my mission. Even if the students have changed, I find myself somewhat drawn to the name. Does that work?"
Rean nodded, thinking that was a good enough answer.
"It works for now, I'm glad you're staying, Altina." Rean approved.
"Okay."
"Oh, brother. You sure drew that out." Juna sighed
"It's been one thing after another..." Kurt agreed
"So with that, I guess we can call this a success." Venti declared.

(Trails of Cold Steel III ost - Start Line.)
"Yeah, I now officially declare the formation of Class VII: Special Operations. Let's work hard and grow together." Rean added. "Not just as a class, but as comrades!"
And that was how the new Class VII was born, sure it's much smaller than the old Class VII, but there was a lot of potential within all of them.
"Oh, that's right. I wanted to ask. What type of Master Quarts you guys have?" Venti asked.
"Mine?" Juna asked and then take out her ARCUS Alpha. "Mine is Earth element." Then she show it.
"Mine is the Time element." Altina said as she show it.
"Mine is Wind element." Kurt said as he show it.
"And mine is Mirage." Venti said as he show just like the rest.
"Right. And my Master Quart is Fire." Rean then show his by opening his ARCUS Alpha. "So it seems. And if you notice from your slots. Each is color silver but there are three slots that have different colors. Unlike the slots you see. These slots are for certain color quartz. Each of us has our own Orbment type. Mine if Fire and Time." Rean said.
"So… mine is Earth and… um… gold?" Juna title her head.
Venti look and see the color. "Yeah, it's gold, which means Space element." Venti then look at his. "Mine is Mirage and Wind. Makes sense to me."
"How so?"
"Well to me. There are many reasons. For starters. Some say it's because of a person's personality, their looks, or their crafts."
"From our personality, looks, or crafts?" Juna asked
"For example. You appeared to be a straightforward person also have a since of pride. Earth sometimes also hold meanings of stubbornness, responsibility, and such." Venti explained
Juna nodded in understanding. "Ah, I see what you mean."
"And he's not off the mark." Rean said. "Each of us has our own elements from the seven elements. And those elements define us for who we are. And sometimes we may even surprise ourselves for that matter too. But I think we may have stay here long enough. Let us head back and we can begin what to do next."
"So what other functions do these ARCUS Alpha have?" Kurt asked.
"I'm so glad you asked!" Tita said though the speaker. "You guys know about the Smartphones?"
"Smartphones?" Juna title her head. "Oh yeah. I remember one in the shop recently."
"They're very popular back in Heimdallr as well. I have one for myself." Kurt said.
"Right. It's just like that. But with more features! More than just the Internet and Orbal Network browsing with Home and Search functions! And not just store data in digital files and folders, Electronic Mail functions, Social Media, Media playback, Tell live time, Live Video Streaming, distance phone calls, play games with them, take pictures, Built-in flashlight. And so many more! And they're all in separate applications called Apps! Oh! There's also one last thing you all need to be installed." She said and right on time. Five Rotoms appeared.
"Whoa!" Juna exclaimed.
"What are they?!" Kurt asked
"Wait… those are Rotom!" Rean said.
"Ro-what?" Juna asked.
The Five Rotoms then went straight for the ARCUS Alphas and then the Rotom faces appeared and turn to the respectful group.
"Hello!" One of them said. And it was Rean's ARCUS Alpha and sound like a friendly boy.
"Whoa! It can talk!?" Juna exclaimed.
"You betcha. But don't be alarm, we're your friends." Said Juna's Rotom ARCUS Alpha which sounds like a girl.
"We can do all those things she mention. But not just that." Altina's Rotom ARCUS Alpha nodded as sound like a mature girl.
"We're also an international Pokedex." Kurt's Rotom ARCUS Alpha explained and sound like a mature boy.
"Pokedex?" Juna asked.
"You mean that tool that gives information about Pokemon?" Kurt asked.
"That's right." Venti's ARCUS Alpha nodded.
"Pokemon… where have I heard that before?" Juna asked.
"You mean you don't know? I'm surprised you don't know." Kurt asked. "Pokemon are those magical creatures that appeared recently two years ago."
"Oh right! I remember seeing some of them back in Crossbell! But I don't know the names of them!"
"Right. If you got questions about Pokemon, We can answer that for you!" Juna's Rotom ARCUS Alpha nodded. "As the sweet blond girl said. We're more than just a Pokedex. We're an multipurpose device! We'll explain what we can do. So pay attention."
"As she said. We're more special than the Rotom Phones or Smartphones. Aside from Internet and Orbal Network browsing with Home and Search functions, We can store data in digital files and folders. For example like play your favorite music, playback videos, look at pictures and such." Altina Rotom ARCUS Alpha said.
"You can use apps which is short for applications." Kurt's Rotom ARCUS Alpha said and revealed the screen which has real-time functions. "See this icon that looks like a phone. This is a phone app. You can call anyone. And if you have someone in contact numbers, such as friends and family, you can call them from anywhere in the world!"
"And this mail icon here?" Venti's Rotom ARCUS Alpha asked as he pointed. "This is an E-Mail app. You can send someone a mail." Then he pointed a text bubble app. "See this bubble here? This is a text app. Just like a phone call. You can text someone. Why, we can text exactly any words you like."
"We can tell you more about what we can do. Aside from the Combat link, Pokedex, but we'll be here for days. But that isn't the best part." Rean's Rotom's ARCUS Alpha smiled and pointed an app that like a group. "See this app? This is a Party app. Oh… But hang on. We need to take your pictures."
"What for?" Rean asked.
"You'll see. Smile!" He said as he press the app and then take pictures of Rean and the others. Then reveal their pictures and some bars. "See these bars? These are gauge! We and you can monitor yourself and your group like those video games with party members! This green bar is your health. This Blue bar means EP for casting Orbal Arts. Even the numbers you'll need to cast them! And check on your status in case you been poison or badly hurt."
"Aaaand!" The five Rotoms unite said and then pressed the map button. "We have a map to tell you where you are and the name of the places!"
"Whoa! That's… Super cool!" Juna exclaimed.
"Has technology advanced this high?" Kurt asked.
"That depends on the level, since we are sharing technology with other nations." Rean said. "But I agree. This is amazing!"
"Perhaps it has something to do with the numerous of companies working together." Altina said.
"Pretty much. Still. Any private information is yours to keep. We won't pry, no sir! That information is close to you only!" Juna's Rotom ARCUS Alpha replied. "Oh, but if you already have a Smartphone or Rotom phones. We can transfer the information from said device and place them into here!" Kurt's ARCUS Alpha said.
"That would be most appreciated." Kurt said.
Rean chuckled as he smiled. 'Thank you… Prince Olivert…'

"Heehee. So you noticed after all, hmm?" A familiar voice asked
(Trails of Cold Steel III ost - Conspiracy in Motion)
We all heard a familiar bird chipping. I turned behind and saw an Azure bird, Grianos. And then a projection of Vita appeared.
Emma gasped. "I-It can't be!"
"Well hello there, Emma and Celine. It's good to see you again. The same for Rean, Levi, Black Rabbit, and the rest of you." Vita replied. "As for Your Highness and the new Class VII, it's a pleasure to make your acquaintance. I am the formal Diva od the Erebonian Opera House and the Second Anguis of Ouroboros. The Azure Abyss, Vita Clotilde."
"SHE'S the missing dive?!" Kurt exclaimed
Musse giggled. "I suppose no one would have thought to look for her here."
Vita giggled. "As for you, Campenalla, and Mcburn… It's been half a year, maybe?"
"Yeah, since you got voted down and ran off on your own." Mcburn answered "Tracking you down has been a real pain in the ass, you know?"
"I heard your familiar, Grianos was taken out, but here he is, alive and well. Which means, tracking you down will be even more difficult than we anticipated."
"I remember witnesses Grianos was killed right before our very eyes… How is this possible?!" Emma exclaimed.
"You can thank my new friends for that. They were able to restore Grianos back to life." Vita answered. "I owe them a debt for that."
"H-How…!"
Levi notice something else as he turn his head to the pillar left. And there was a floating sphere.
"Hey, what's that? A Floating sphere?"

"I see." The first Anguis said to Arianrhod. "Then it seems we have truly reached that conclusion. The one that voted the second Anguis to decline."
"Indeed. Although I predicted that she would decline, I also predicted that it would be near impossible to take back the Phantasmal Blaze Plan from the Blood and Iron Chancellor." Arianrhod said.
"And yet his actions behind the scene of it all, The chancellor's actions have indeed funneled the Phantasmal Blaze Plan. It's a shame the Abyss couldn't join us. Yet she still remains hidden."
"I do not blame the Abyss due to the Chancellor stole the Phantasmal Blaze Plan right under her. She must hold a judge against him. As well as working with the enemy her clan has been enemies for centuries."
"Quite. I do not blame the Abyss for that." The first Anguis nodded
"Aaah! Everyone! We have an emergency!" A voice cried out and then a pillar activated for sixth. Then appeared was F. Novartis.
"Professor. You seem shocked. What has happened?" Arianrhod asked.
"Something horrible happened, that's what it is! The Astral Code has been hacked!"
"What?" The First Anguis asked.
"It sounds Impossible, I know! I just noticed the notification just awhile ago… I found out the Astral Code has been hacked by unknown individuals! They stole several data from us, and data from the thirteen factories was also stolen! Their location has been compromised! The worst news is that they somehow even managed to hack into Ouroboros network of our identified!" Novartis exclaimed

And a larger pillar begin to activate and then appeared is Ouroboros's Grandmaster.
"Oh, Grandmaster!" Novartis gulped.
"Is something amiss, Grandmaster?" The first Anguis asked.
"Yes. But Professor. What has brought you much disarray?" The Grandmaster asked
"Please forgive me Grandmaster! Someone hack into our Astral Code!" Novartis exclaimed
"I see… then it may be related."
"Related?"
"I'm afraid I had a vision. A great shadow will engulf the world… and the Orpheus Final Plan is in jeopardy." The Grandmaster answered.
The Anguis who are present are shocked to hear this.
"The darkness that will be upon us if we do not act. And this darkness is triggered by someone within the Mushroom Kingdom. The may also be related to the one who had hack into the Astral Code."
"Then our perpetrator is somewhere within the Mushroom Kingdom?" Arianrhod asked.
"Yes. The darkness is far too great to withstand. There may be time. Arianrhod. I task you to locate and eliminate the perpetrator and the darkness if possible." The Grandmaster said.
"By your will Grandmaster." Arianrhod bow.
"I will ask Campanella to aid you. Whichever Enforcer you wish to bring along is your choosing."
"I understand. I shall bring Noel and the Belligerent Paragon. The other Enforcers might be busy."
"I understand. I pray for your success."

"Maybe you should have ask for directions, next time."
"Gah! Ugh… don't sneak up on me like that!"
"As if I have a choice! You want to know how many times I've saved your butt from dying? I'll tell you! Thirty-six! The three tines you leapt off a cliff to quote-unquote "get tougher"? Saved you. Those five mad attempts to dispatch a horde of monsters all by yourself? Saved you! That time when we heard a rumor that Jeralt was killed by someone and that someone got slaughtered by the Ashen Demon and his new pack of friends? What did you do? Oh, I know! YOU JUMPED INTO A HORDE OF MONSTERS TO GET STRONGER AND WHO SAVED YOU? ME!"
"Alright, alri-"
"And don't get me started on when you were almost eaten by a giant bird with a skull for an helmet! That bird was literally going to end your life! And after you defeated it, thanks to me, You got lost and ended up found a large group of freaken zombie creatures who drain your will by their scream! And after you slaughtered them thanks to me. And the day after that…. You found a giant scorpion creature. I told you not to attack it and you know what you did? You decided to get stronger! Only to find out that it nearly KILL YOU!"
"Alright, I get it! Ugh… I suppose I am getting cocky these days. I just wanted to get stronger… but I ended up causing trouble for you. I'm sorry for all the stupid thing I'm doing.."
"Finally! Some humility! I thought you were incapable of self-reflection."
"Very funny." Shez rolled his eyes. " At any rate. I thought facing those things is enough to help me grow stronger."
"Well I suppose facing those… whatever those things are, did managed to improve your strength and much is certain."
"Even so… it's not enough though. I feel like every time I make progress, I feel as if the Ashen Demon is five steps ahead of me!"
"Ugh, that reminds me… you wore yourself out to the brink of death that one day and who saved your butt? I did!"
"I get it!" Shez sighed. "I feel like I'm almost ready…"
"Wait… what's that over there?"
"Hmm?" Shez turn and then see a guard station by a portal. "What am I looking at?"
"I don't know but I am curious. Why don't you go and ask."
"All right, all right." Shez approached the guard. "Excuse me, but what is this right in front of me?"
"It's a portal leading to the Mushroom Kingdom." The guard answered.
"The… What?" Shez blicked.
"The… Mushroom Kingdom? What kind of name for a kingdom is that?" Arval wondered
"Okay, the Mushroom Kingdom? What the heck is that?"
"It's one of the nations outside of Fodlan. If you want to go in and visit, then you're free to go. But I'll be reporting needing your identity and reason." The guard answered
"Okay? Well, my name is Shez and I'm a mercenary. I'm curious about the portal. And now the Mushroom Kingdom." Shez said
"Shez who is a mercenary. Okay, one final test is to go right in." The guard said.
"Okay?" Shez title his head and then walk to the portal and nothing happen.
"Oh good. In that case, enjoy yourself. But remember not to cause trouble."
"Okay, sure." Shez said and then enter the portal. Once he arrived on the other side. He found himself in Toad Town. "Whoa! Where am I?"
"You're in Toad Town." A Toad behind the desk said.
"Gah! What the heck are you?!"
"I'm a Toad, sir. You're not the first from Fodlan to be surprised to see my race."
"Oh, right… sorry… What the heck did I end up too?" Shez wondered
"Seriously… a person with a mushroom for a head… I think…" Arval amused
"Well you're in a whole new world. That's one way to put it." The Toad said.
"Riiight…" Shez said
"Are you here to explore?"
"Pretty much…?"
"Well go ahead and enjoy yourself. But don't cause trouble, okay?"
"Gotcha. Goodbye." Shez nodded and then he walk in Toad Town. "I can't believe I'm in a town that are home to… a Toad, right?"
"Yep. And what he said about a whole new world… talk about… well… he's not wrong about it." Arval said
"Either way, this seems like a fun place to be in. I wonder what should I find!" He said as he ran.
"I just hope you don't get lost…" Arval sighed.
Few moments later…
"Aaaaand you got lost…" Arval groaned as he arrived on somewhere in the Mushroom Kingdom.
"Hey, how was I supposed to know I was going into some place like this?!" Shez exclaimed.
"Because the Toad from before was telling you!" Arval answered before he sighed. "Welp, here's too many more times I'm going to have to save your butt…"

Meanwhile, back at Salem's domain…
"Your Grace." Hazel walked to her.
"Yes?" Salem asked
"We have reports of Grimm being bloated in the shape of a balloon."
"What?!" Salem said in surprise. "How are they're being bloated into a balloon? Who is responsible for this!"
Meanwhile, somewhere else…
"Enlighten me." Arianrhod said. "Why do you wish to face me in battle?" She asked, looking at a muscled up pig who's panted
"Muh muh muh muh…"
"And yet, to my surprise, you're still standing…" Arianrhod said. "Not many are able to withstand my skill."
"It's simple. And it seems they were true about you."
"True?"
"Yes. But I have done more than enough."
"More than- What are you-" Suddenly, Arianrhod was hit by a laser in the back. "Guwah!" She grunted as she took a step forward, and noticed that she was slowly turning to stone.
"Nyah ha ha ha ha ha ha! Midbus was just a distraction! I HAVE CHORTLES!"
Arianrhod sighed "How careless of me. But this will not hold me… Who are you?"
"You amuse Fawful! You think you're going to get out of this petrification? Fawful laughs at you!"
Arianrhod closed her eyes. "Fawful… I will be sure to remember that." She said before completely turning to stone.
"Well done, Midbus! The prototypes of the Mushrooms have been a success. The shadow dogs have been bloated like a balloon."
"Excellent… now what?"
"We proceed with the rest of phase one."
Later that night…
"Now then!" Fawful pulled out a list. "Let's see… where are you, my knight?" He said looking for Arianrhod's name
Cinder, Emerald, Mercury, Roman, Neo, Walter, Lucrezia Lsselee, Minerva Orland, Bleublanc, Hazama, Shirley, Duvalie, Ines, Ennea, Mcburn, Relius Clover,
"Ah! There you are." Fawful crossed out Arianrhod's name. "We are missing the Fool, Paragon, and Undine Prince. Almost all the Fighters in Smash Bros, and the other Anguis of Ouroboros." He said. "I have the confusion, where are they? Oh well, when we find them, we'll find them. Nyahahahaha! Now then… we have no interference of our grand plan to take over the Mushroom Kingdom!"
"Now what?"
"Now? Now we go to phase two of our plan."
"Understood."
