Chapter 15: First Family Birthday
Mox and Mill's House, Backyard…
As Moxxie entered the house to grab Naruto's gifts, Naruto sat next to the grill as Joe cooked the burgers and hot dogs.
"Sorry, but I can't…" Naruto said as Lin pushed a beer into his face. "I'm underage."
"Oh, come on, hun, its Hell, who cares." Lin politely argued with a playful smile. "Besides, Mildred had her first beer when she was fifteen, you're eighteen and amongst family, so it is okay."
"No, ma." Millie said as she took the beer from Lin. "If Naruto doesn't want to drink, then he doesn't have to drink."
Millie cracked open the beer and started to drink, Naruto sighing in relief.
'Not that I would want to drink,' Naruto thought as he felt someone sit next to him. 'But I don't know how I'll react to being drunk…'
Naruto nearly leaped out of his skin as he turned and saw how close Sally May was sitting next to him, alcohol on her breath and a mischievous smile.
"So, are you single, good looking?" She said in a seductive tone as she caressed Naruto's face.
Naruto's heart fearfully beat against his rib cage as he could feel his pulse in his balls.
"Uhm, I need an adult…" naruto whimpered as Sally May got closer, basically sitting on his leg as she smirked.
"I am an aDULPH!" Sally May started to say before Millie jumped her sister.
"HE'S YOUR NEPHEW!" Millie screamed like a rabid animal.
"NOT BY BLOOD SO HE IS FREE GAME!" Sally May screeched as they continued to fight before the screen door opened to reveal Moxxie.
"Did I come at a bad time?" Moxxie asked with a shaky chuckle, trying to make a joke, which Lin and Joe rolled their eyes too.
"Anyway, its time for gifts." Moxxie said as he walked toward Naruto, who was stuffing a burger into his mouth… literally, an entire burger, bun, cheese, lettuce, tomato, and mushrooms the whole thing.
He chewed it several times before he swallowed, wiping his hands and face before Moxxie handed him the big box, handing Millie the smaller one.
Naruto felt anticipation in his stomach as he opened it…
"Duel Disks?" Naruto asked as he pulled out two Duel-Disk Systems.
They were the classic ones from the Yugioh Duelist Anime.
However, Naruto could not feel the weight difference as they were a little heavy, but with his new strength they felt light like the plastic ones that Konami made in the early 2000's.
"Yep, and check this out." Moxxie said as he took one and put it on.
He flipped the switch on the bottom, and a display appeared.
Naruto watched Moxxie hit a few 'buttons' and then a deck appeared in the deck slot.
Moxxie drew a few cards and smirked as he put a monster on the board.
Naruto jumped back, eyes open in shock as a Kuriboh appeared.
"Boogi~" Kuriboh said as he floated before Naruto.
Naruto's look of shock was replaced with a look of unbridled happiness.
"It actually works!" He said as he looked at it. "But… how…"
"Magic of course." Moxxie said as he turned his duel disk off. "Millie and I had a friend make them, and this," Moxxie turned his disk back on. "This menu is based off of the menu screens from Legacy of the Duelist, and it has every card that has been made and will update when new cards or rules are made."
Naruto's smile couldn't physically get bigger, but it ended up doing so.
"So, you want to give them a try?" Moxxie asked Naruto.
"FUCK YEAH!" Naruto shouted as he put his disk on his wrist.
"Alright, take your time to make your deck, I'll be patient." Moxxie said as Naruto ignored his words to build his deck.
"Now what is this?" Joe asked Naruto as he watched Naruto fiddle around with the deck he was building.
"Its from a popular card game anime in the human world called Yugioh, Pa." Millie answered as she pulled out her phone. "Naruto is a big fan and Moxxie has been preparing for this for a while."
Moxxie made a sound that sounded worried.
Millie realized what she basically said.
She revealed information she should not have known.
Thankfully, Naruto was so involved into what he was doing that he didn't hear it.
"Alright, I am done." Naruto said in giddiness.
Naruto and Moxxie picked their decks and they appeared.
"So, how we going to decide who goes first?" Moxxie asked as he pulled the cards out and shuffled them, which Naruto mimicked.
"Rock paper scissors." Naruto said as he put his cards back into the slot.
Moxxie and Naruto pumped their hands up and down.
"Rock, Paper, Scissors, SHOOT!"
Moxxie threw Scissors.
Naruto threw Paper.
"I'll go first." Moxxie said as he stepped a few feet away from Naruto.
"Alright, old man." Naruto said as he and Moxxie activated their duel disks, the boards opening up, connecting and then setting themselves into active mode as they made the unique sound they make in the anime.
"DUEL!" Naruto and Moxxie declared at the same time.
Moxxie: 8000
Naruto: 8000
Naruto and Moxxie drew five cards.
'Wow, these are fakes made with magic,' Naruto thought as he felt the cards in his hands. 'But they feel just like the real cards. At least this way I won't have to worry about ruining my real cards.'
Moxxie pulled one card from his hand.
"I summon Exploder Dragon in Attack Mode." Moxxie declared as he put the card on the disk.
The card hologram appeared before the monster was created.
The Exploder Dragon roared as it flew from its card.
Exploder Dragon: Atk: 1000
"SWEET SATAN, A DRAGON!" Joe shouted as he jumped back.
"Its just a magic hologram, Pa." Millie giggled as she recorded the duel. "It isn't real."
Joe blushed in embarrassment, taking a beer offered to him by Lin as he continued to cook.
Naruto, meanwhile, drew his card and looked at his hand.
Desperado Barrel Dragon, 7 Complete, Reflect Bounder, DNA Surgery, Drillago, and Sakuretsu Armor.
"I'll set two cards face down," Naruto announced as he set Sakuretsu Armor and DNA Surgery in the Magic and Spell card slots, their holograms appearing before him. "And then I summon Drillago in Attack Mode."
Drillago appeared, its drills spinning before going still.
Drillago: Atk: 1600
"I'll enter my Battle Phase, and have Drillago attack your dragon." Naruto declared as he posed, holding out his hand. "Drillago, attack the Dragon with Spiral Shaver!"
Drillago's drills roated quickly before it skewered the Dragon, dealing six hundred life points worth of damage to Moxxie.
Moxxie: 8000-7400
Naruto: 8000
"Exploder Dragon's effect activates!" Moxxie announced.
Exploder Dragon's eyes glowed, and it dropped the orange spiked sphere it was holding.
It detonated, revealing itself to be a bomb.
Drillago was destroyed.
"When Exploder Dragon is destroyed, the monster who attacked it is automatically destroyed." Moxxie explained.
Naruto… didn't seem daunted, in fact he was smiling as he held up a card.
"Special Effect Activate." He said as he put the card on the board. "Special Summon: Desperado Barrel Dragon in Attack Mode."
"WHAT!" Moxxie shouted in shock as the mechanical dragon appeared, roaring.
Desperado Barrel Dragon: Atk: 2800
"When a Dark-Type Machine monster is destroyed, I can special summon this monster from my hand, and it can attack." Naruto stated. "Barrel Dragon, Attack with Desperate Russian Roulette!"
The center cylinder that acted as the dragon's head spun before a blast fired out, dealing direct damage to Moxxie.
Moxxie: 7400-4600
Naruto: 8000
"And that ends my turn." Naruto stated, his turn ending.
Moxxie drew his card.
'Damn, on his first turn he was able to deal a total of 3400 points of damage with such ease. I may be a beginner, but his cards must have better synergy than mine.' Moxxie thought.
"I summon a second Exploder Dragon." Moxxie said as his monster materialized on the field. "Attack with Egg Bombardment!"
"Trap Card Activate!" Naruto stated as he pushed the appropriated button on the duel disk, making the trap card reveal itself. "Sakuretsu Armor. It destroys one attacking monster."
The card art came to life, and the Armor rammed into the Dragon, killing it before it could destroy the Barrel Dragon.
"And since your Dragon was destroyed by a card effect, my Dragon is safe." Naruto pointed out with a smile that showed off cockiness.
"I-I end my turn." Moxxie said as he shook.
He expected Naruto to win, but this was to much of a landslide defeat.
Naruto drew his next card.
'Magic Jammer.' He thought as he put it on the board, the face down card appearing. "Desperado Barrel Dragon, Desperate Russian Roulette!"
Desperado Barrel Dragon blasted Moxxie once again.
Moxxie: 4600-1800
Naruto: 8000
"I end my turn." Naruto told Moxxie, allowing the Imp to draw his card, praying it will help turn the tide.
"I summon Cyberdark Horn." Moxxie stated as his monster took shape. "I activate its special ability," A display that was labeled Graveyard appeared and Moxxie pushed against one of the cards, it appeared in his hand and he put it in the M&T card zone, revealing it to be Exploder Dragon, which was attached to Cyberdark Horn. "And when it is attached with a dragon, Cyberdark Horn gains it's attack points."
Cyberdark Horn: Atk: 800 – 1800
"And that ends my turn." Moxxie said as he felt like he was only delaying the inevitable.
"My turn." Naruto said as he drew his next card. 'I drew a Machine King.'
Naruto added Machine King to his hand and picked his next monster.
"I summon Reflect Bounder in Attack Mode." Naruto said as Reflect Bounder appeared on the field.
Reflect Bounder: Atk: 1700
"And I'll end my turn." Naruto said happily. 'I don't want this to end too soon.'
"I draw… I'll summon my Cyber Larva!" Moxxie declared.
The small Cyber Larva appeared in Attack Mode.
Cyber Larva: Atk: 400
"I'll attack Reflect Bounder with my Cyber Larva!" Moxxie stated as he pointed at Naruto's Monster. "I know how it reflects the attack points of the attacking monster, so using a weaker monster to get rid of it is the best choice after all, when it is attacked, it is destroyed."
Naruto laughed.
"Special Effect Activate!" Naruto declared as a giant coin appeared before him and Moxxie.
"What is happening now?" Lin asked as she watched her grandson with interest.
"When a monster attacks, I can activate Desperado Barrel Dragon's ability." Naruto said as the coin flipped itself. "I roll a coin three times, and for every Head I get, I get to destroy that many Monsters. I get to draw an additional card if all three results are heads."
The coin landed, revealing Heads.
It flipped again, landing to reveal… Heads.
It flipped once more… revealing Heads.
"I will destroy your Cyberdark Horn and Cyber Larva, but I will not use the third." Naruto declared as the two shoulder cannons on his Desperado Barrel Dragon rotated its shoulder cylinder's before they fired, destroying Moxxie's monsters. "Now I draw one card."
Naruto drew his Call of the Haunted.
"It's still your turn, Mox." Naruto reminded the Imp.
Moxxie felt completely defeated.
Every move he made, Naruto would counter perfectly, even when it involved luck.
"I end my turn." He admitted.
Naruto drew his card.
"I'll summon my Machine King Prototype!" Naruto announced as he summoned his new monster. "For every Machine on the board, except for itself, this Monster gains 100 attack points."
Machine King Prototype: Atk: 1600 – 1800
"I'll end my turn." Naruto ended without attacking again.
Moxxie drew his card.
"I summon Cyber Phoenix in attack mode."
Cyber Phoenix: Atk: 1200
"I'll attack your reflect bounder with Cyber Phoenix!"
Cyber Phoenix took to the sky, circling twice before it dive bombed into Reflect Bounder.
Reflect Bounder's mirror absorbed the energy and then fired it back at Cyber Phoenix, which blew up, destroying itself and Reflect Bounder.
Moxxie: 1800-100
Naruto: 8000
"And that ends my turn." Moxxie said as he once again stood without any monsters or back row cards to defend himself.
'Man, this guy is getting the bad draw.' Naruto thought as he drew his card. 'Seven Tools of the Bandit.' "I guess it is time to end this duel."
Moxxie nodded.
This was embarrassing to him as his In-laws already didn't have a good opinion of him, this was just bad.
"Desperado Barrel Dragon, end this game!" Naruto ordered.
The mechanical dragon blasted the remaining points Moxxie had to nothing, allowing Naruto to win.
"Well, that was… not as dramatic or challenging as I had hoped." Naruto said as he approached Moxxie, offering his hand.
"Whatever," Moxxie said as he smiled, happy to see Naruto had fun. "Good Game, but next time, I won't go down so easily."
"That what no one said." Sally May shouted, prompting a laugh from Joe and Lin, much to Moxxie's expense.
Father and Son shook hands in good sportsmanship.
"Don't worry, Mox, I'll help you build a better deck. Surprised you went with Zane's Cyberdark deck. I thought you would be a Kaiba deck user." Naruto admitted as they turned off the duel disks and sat down, ready to eat more.
"I wanted to, but thought I would try something new. Also, you can fight a computer." Moxxie told Naruto.
"Really?" Naruto asked as he got another burger and grabbed a soda.
Millie smiled proudly as she ended the video on her phone and prepared to send it to Loona.
'My two boys.' She thought as Moxxie showed Naruto how to use the Computer duelist setting.
"Awesome, that means I can duel whenever I want." Naruto said giddily as he was looking forward to it.
"One more gift, Naruto." Millie said as she walked up to Naruto.
She held out a small box, which Naruto took.
A small sense of familiarity tickled Naruto's brainstem.
'Why does this feel familiar… but also different.' Naruto thought as he opened the box, seeing a small piece of paper.
Naruto took it, and saw what it was hiding.
"Naruto… Naruto, are you okay?" Moxxie asked in concern as he saw Naruto start to shudder as he dropped the note, looking inside the box.
"What happened?" Millie asked Moxxie as she approached Naruto.
"I don't… he looked at that paper, and then he started to react this way…" Moxxie explained what he knew.
Millie took the note and read it.
'I will be waiting for you, take all the time you need'.

Naruto took a knee, trying to keep himself from breaking.
The entire time he had been awake, he was doing his best to ignore everything he felt, but this… this was to much and his emotions were overwhelming.
Inside the box, was the Jade Green Blessing Pendant he gave Loona before Homecoming.
Naruto held the pendant close as he weakly reached out and grabbed Millie and Moxxie, pulling them into a hug.
His parents didn't fight it, and hugged him back as he started to cry.
Joe, Lin, and Sally May walked up and hugged Naruto, showing they cared.
Naruto's tail wrapped around his grandparents and aunt in return.
He accepted them, just as much as they accepted him.
Emotional mess and all.
Blitz and Loona's Apartment…
"Loona, I'm going to get some Mexican food, you want something?" Blitz asked her as he prepared to leave.
"Sure, a carnitas quesadilla sounds good, with guacamole and sour cream." Loona replied as she wrote it down.
She handed the piece of paper to Blitz, who took it, but stared at Loona.
"What?" Loona asked in confusion from Blitz's blank stare.
"I am just… in awe of your haircut. It suits you." Blitz said with encouragement as he left the apartment to get food.
Loona ran her left hand through her short cut hair.
Flashback…
October 9th…
It was early morning, Blitz was sleeping soundly, and loudly, in his room as Loona stood in the bathroom before the mirror.
She wore a pair of Naruto's underwear, specifically the Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt pair, and her pink bra.
She felt like shit, looked like shit, and her emotions were shit.
Her body felt heavy, and every thought she had focused on herself and Naruto. All negative toward herself and how she fucked everything up.
Loona shuddered as she picked up a pair of scissors.
She brought it up to her hair and carefully started to cut it.
"I need…" Loona hiccupped, doing her best to not cut more hair than she wanted. "I need a new start…"
She continued to slowly cut her long hair short, roughly to her shoulder.
"I need… this weight off of my shoulders." She continued, sniffling. "I won't forget what I did, and I promise that I will do what I can to make it up to you, Naruto."
With her vow made, Loona looked in the mirror, holding the cut hair in her hand.
"I… I love it." Loona chuckled, as she ran her hand through it. "Just a bit more touch up here."
Loona finished her trimming and looked in the mirror once more.
Her New look, her fresh start, and with the weight off of her shoulders, Loona felt like the world was no longer against her.
Flashback End…
Loona shook her head as she started to relax, sitting in the sofa as she turned on the tv.
Her phone went off, having received a message.
'Millie? What did she… is this a video?' Loona thought as she opened her messenger, and saw a long video with Naruto and Moxxie in it.
Tapping it, the video opened up and Loona watched Naruto defeat Moxxie with stupid ease.
Loona smiled somberly.
'He looks so damn happy.' She thought as she continued to watch Naruto destroy Moxxie.
Laying across the couch, Loona closed her eyes, the movie that was playing on the Tv forgotten as she held her phone close.
'I hope Millie gave you my message, Naruto.' Loona hopefully thought.
Chapter 15, DONE!
I actually played one of my decks in Legacy of the Duelist, and had to play and write at the same time. It wasn't me wanting Naruto to dominate Moxxie, but how it turned out just happened to be that way.
Sorry if this chapter is short, I posted a chapter for Kitsune of Bael and I am sick with Covid right now, so it isn't my best work.
