Chapter 22: Choice
"Verosika, are you okay?" Naruto asked as he saw her pink skin become a deeper shake of red-pink. "Are you feeling sick?"
"Naruto…"
"Yes…"
Verosika saw the concern and unconditional love within his eyes.
'You… you just can't help but feel loved if you are friends with Naruto.' Verosika told herself. 'I… I feel loved… oh god… I am…'
"Verosika?"
"If… if it doesn't work out with the other hound…" Verosika said, taking a pause to bite her lip, looking him in the eyes, shuffling her feet under his gaze.
Naruto was taken aback.
Verosika looked vulnerable.
Her posture and face showed someone who was so nervous and emotionally vulnerable.
'Oh, no what is going to…'
"If it doesn't work out with the other hound, would you be against the two of us dating?" Verosika stated quickly, her heart beat thumping loudly in her ears.
Naruto's eyes widened, his hands dropping to his side, both hearing a metaphorical 'thump'.
"Well… uh…" Naruto said nervously, his gaze avoiding Verosika's as his organs started to feel oily and his heart raced.
Loona's smiling visage appeared in his heart, making it ache.
"I think…" He mumbled, ears drooping as he pushed his fingers together.
'I screwed up.' Verosika thought as her chest began to tighten ungodly fast.
Verosika walked past Naruto, tears swelling.
"Come on, let's go get…"
Naruto's hand grabbed her shoulder.
"Naruto, we should go eat." Verosika said, not facing him.
"My Star…" He said nervously. "I… I don't know how to respond. These last few days… have been amazing. But…"
Verosika smiled, turning to show her tears pouring down her face, not hiding herself from him.
"I know. Loona has your heart." She said whim fully, before holding her hand up, her finger out like the barrel of a gun. "But just you wait, my dear." She made a 'Bang' motion, as if she fired a gun. "I'll take a part of your heart for myself. It is Hell, bigamy is not illegal."
The Metaphorical bullet pierced Naruto's heart, causing him to smile before pulling Verosika into a hug.
"Watashi mo anata o aishiteimasu, watashi no hoshi."
"Huh?" Verosika pulled away, looking at Naruto in confusion.
"What?"
"What was that?"
"I said 'I love you too, my Star' in Japanese." Naruto said as if it was normal. "I speak, read, and write Japanese and English, my dad taught me before he… died."
"I see. I was just shocked because…"
"Yeah," Naruto looks at the reader. "I know, the author added this fact right now instead of the beginning, so I am Bilingual now."
"Who are you talking too?" Verosika asked in confusion, looking in the direction Naruto was, only seeing a blank wall.
"Nothing, let's go eat." Naruto said as he swept Verosika off of her feet and entered the elevator.
Verosika blushed.
Flashback…
Blitz drunkenly carried an equally drunk Verosika up the stars of a shitty hotel.
Once in the room, he placed her on the bed and the sex was amazing… for a drunk.
Verosika's crust filled eyes opened, her hand scratching them out as the phone rang.
Tapping for the elusive item, Verosika answered.
"Hello?"
"Ms. Mayday, this is the Hotel Manager." The being on the other side of the phone said.
"Yes, what is it?" Verosika asked in confusion as she got up, looking for Blitz.
"Well, I am sad to say, but your credit card has been declined."
"WHAT? Didn't you do it correctly? This isn't a funny joke!" Verosika screamed, partially transforming into her true form.
"I am sorry, but this is no joke, Ms." The manager said timidly.
"I just paid it off yesterday, you know what, fuck you, Imp sucking faggot! I am calling the bank to set this right!" Verosika shouted as she pulled out her cellphone. "Hang on, asshole, I am going to set this right."
The manager stayed on the line as Verosika called the bank.
"… Ah, I see." The Bank Teller said as they found what happened.
Verosika smiled as she held the phones together, ready to hear the good news.
"Your credit card was used to pay for the hotel and expensive horse-riding lessons."
Verosika's anger shook the establishment, but fell in comparison when she discovered Blitz had run off with her credit card, leaving her to pay for the hotel room via blowjob.
After this, Verosika searched for Blitz, and after a heated argument, they broke up, Verosika taking a hot knife to her 'Blitzo' tattoo on her arm, crossing it out.
'Never again!' She thought in anguished tears as she dropped the knife and clutched her bleeding arm. 'I will never let anyone in again! I WILL NEVER BE HURT AGAIN!'
Flashback End…
Verosika's heart ached, but she smiled as she wiped her eyes before leaning into Naruto's chest.
'This time will be different.' She thought as she heard Naruto's heartbeat. 'He is different.'
Meanwhile…
"You sure this is a good idea?" Moxxie said as he and Millie packed what they needed.
The two were preparing for the upcoming Extermination, and with the Extermination Insurance and LONG lists of all of the belongings they had (Including Naruto's), they were going to go to the Ring of Wrath to escape the Extermination.
"Yeah, Ma and Pa said they would be happy to house us during the time of the Extermination." Millie said as she shut the door of the car.
Moxxie rolled his eyes with a pout.
Joe and Lin still hated him, so he wasn't as excited as he should be.
"Well, where we going?"
"WHAT!"
Blitz was in the seat behind the driver seat, a childish smile and look in his eyes.
"I asked where we are going?" Blitz asked as if there was nothing wrong.
Moxxie went to yell, but caught himself, taking a deep, irritated breath.
"WE," Moxxie said as he pointed to himself and Millie. "Are going to the Ring of Wrath to escape the Exterminators."
"Huh, neat. Hold on, I'll be right…"
Blitz stopped when Loona picked him up with one hand, looking at her phone.
"Don't worry, Millie, Fatty." Loona said as she didn't look at them. "We will be staying in the human world for the day. Be safe."
A scream of pain emitted from Blitz's phone.
"Oh, fuck." He grumbled as Loona put him down, answering his phone. "What is it, Stolas?"
"Oh, always business, Blitzy." Stolas said playfully. "I have an offer. I offer my home as a safe haven for you, your daughter, and the… two smaller imps."
Millie, Moxxie, and Loona perked up at this.
The Exterminator's NEVER attacked the higher demons in Hell's Hierarchy.
So, it was the best place to hide for the day.
"Well, shit, we will…"
"Of course, I get a night of… passionate fornication." Stolas said in restrained glee.
'Of course…' Blitz thought as he pinched the bridge between his eyes. "Sure, but we need a silencing…"
"Already done, Blitzy…" Stolas rolled out sensually, causing the hellhound and imp's shudder.
"Well, I guess we will be safe this year." Blitz mumbled as he hung up his phone, irritation in his eyes and body language.
"But what about Naruto?" Millie asked in borderline panic. "He is still out there…"
"Well, tough titty, Millie." Blitz snipped.
Loona bashed Blitz in the head with her hand.
"I know he is safe." Loona reassured the two parents. "I don't know where, but I know he will be safe."
Moxxie bit his lip before holding Millie's hand.
"Sorry, but we will look for our son." Moxxie replied sternly.
Loona smiled, shrugging.
"I guess I can make a phone call to… fuck I don't have their… wait I do!" Loona said as she went to her Phone app, clicking on recent calls and added Vortex's number to her contacts before calling.
"Tex speaking."
"Vortex, it's Loona…"
Dusk, Dry Fuck Studios…
"No, I don't drink…" Naruto said as Milky offered another beer to the young hellhound.
"Come on, kid, it won't kill you." She laughed before she opened it for herself.
"You really are a straight arrow, aren't you?" Ace asked Naruto, putting his arm around Naruto's shoulders, careful to not spill Naruto's dinner.
"Okay, leave it at that." Kat told his bro.
"Hey, Vero." Apple called out as Verosika drank from her flask. "How about a song?"
"Well, if you insist." Verosika said without needing her arm to be twisted.
Putting the flask away, Verosika walked to a nearby karaoke machine.
"Make space." Coco said as she put her plate down, standing up and moving some of the furniture.
The rest of the crew and Naruto helped shift everything, giving Verosika a 'stage' as she picked a song.
'This one. This is the one that will express my feelings.' She thought as she smiled softly. 'Oh, God, this is embarrassing. Popstars usually sing for their fans, but this… this is the first time in a LONG time I have sang for one special person.'
Verosika grabbed the remote and microphone and stepped forward, hitting play.
Soft piano music started to play, Verosika clearing her voice before humming to the rhythm.

Verosika swayed her hip, shifting side to side, eyes closed.

Everyone on the crew felt like something was off.
It felt different.

Verosika held her hand out toward Naruto, the crew's thoughts clicking as Naruto took her hand.

Verosika remembered the moment she fell in love with Blitz, the fun they had, the joy they shared, before being replaced with an argument and betrayal.

Verosika slowed to a crawl, holding Naruto in one arm as she held the mic, staring up into his eyes with so much vulnerable love and compassion.
Naruto's heart skipped a few beats with his face tinting pink.

Apple, Coco, Milky, and Kiki pitched in as back up vocals, Ace, Kat, and Josh filming this for their Instagrams.

The music slowed, almost becoming sad as Naruto held Verosika's waist, with her looking down at the ground.

Verosika smiled when Naruto pressed his forehead against hers, feeling his warm embrace made her feel secure.
'I don't want this to end, Naruto.' She thought as his tail wrapped around her.
The ice around her heart was thawing, and Naruto was the candle of hope burning bright in the darkness for Verosika.
But not only her, but Loona, Millie, Moxxie, and Blitz.
October 30th...
IMP was currently in the mostly empty mansion of Stolas Goetia, his wife Stella living elsewhere with their daughter Octavia visiting every so often.
Loona sat in the room she was given, alone, as she looked out the window, looking in the garden.
Millie and Moxxie were in the garden, amazed with the various plants.
One actually chomping down on Moxxie, but a punch from Millie made the plant release her hubby.
Loona chuckled at this antic as she looked at her phone, scrolling through Instagram.
'Hm, new ones from Verosika Mayday's Crew…' Loona thought as she saw the updates.
Vortex had told her where Naruto was exactly, thus Loona was looking into their social media.
Loona's eyes widened as she saw one with Naruto, holding Verosika close, their foreheads touching gently.
A crack formed in her heart, but she forced herself to smile as she saw the green jade necklace around Naruto's neck.
'I will wait… good news or bad news, I will wait for you, Naruto.' Loona thought as she kept herself calm.
Evening, Dry Fuck Studios…
"Alright, your human disguises applied?" Verosika asked as she looked over her crew, Vortex, Jayjay, Flare, and Naruto.
All of them were in said human disguises.
Flare looked like Vortex, though he had his shoulder scar and a scruffy beard and mustache.
He was currently wearing pants and a tight shirt.
Jayjay had long hair had been bleached and dyed light pink, held in twin low pigtails at her shoulders.
She was short, at five foot two inches, and was more on the husky side of body shapes, with bigger than moderate breasts and hips.
She wore a baggy sweater, cut off shorts, and leggings.
"Alright, let's get going to the Human World." Verosika said as she entered the portal to the Living World, which was stationed in one of the MANY rooms of DFS.
Naruto entered, wondering where they were going to end up.
'Huh?'
"What do you think?" Verosika asked as she smirked cheekily.
They were standing in Santa Rosa…
Specifically, the Snoopy Home Ice Arena.
Where they first met.
Naruto didn't say anything, but took off.
"HEY, hold on you guys." Jayjay said as she had an apologetic look before chasing after Naruto.
"Should I go?" Verosika asked Vortex.
"No, I say let the siblings spend time together." Vortex said as he and the crew decided to find a place to spend the next two days, a smirk forming on Vortex's face. "Besides, you have been around him for too long."
Verosika nudged her body guard in embarrassment.
Meanwhile…
"NARUTO!" Jayjay shouted as she jumped, shouldering the young man in the back and to the ground. "CALM DOWN!"
"But… but…" Naruto said as Jayjay crushed him under her weight and pinned him down.
"Naruto?"
Naruto and Jayjay looked up and saw Evelyn in the evening light staring in shock at them.
"Evelyn…" Naruto said as his eyes started to water.
Jayjay got off of him and he shot off the ground, wrapping Evelyn in a tight hug.
"I missed you." He said with a smile, Evelyn hugging him back.
"How long are you in town?" Evelyn asked as she pulled back. "Also, aren't you supposed to be at school?"
"Uh…"
"We are on a field trip, visiting the West Coast." Jayjay said as she stepped up, holding her hand out to Evelyn. "I am Jayjay Burdell, a classmate of Naruto's."
Meanwhile, Goetia Mansion…
"I am nervous." Moxxie stated as he swallowed a lump in his throat.
He and Millie stood on a balcony of the mansion, looking up at the sky as it darkened as each second ticked closer to the Extermination.
"I know, hun. I am too." Millie said as she gripped her husband's hand. "I am worried about him too."
Moxxie squeezed Millie's hand back.
*KNOCK, KNOCK*
"Hey, Mil, Fatty." Loona called from outside the door. "Dinner is ready."
The married imps walked out, seeing the look on Loona's face.
All three were concerned.
"It will be alright, I promise." Loona said, as if she could read their minds. "Naruto will be safe."
Living World, Orphanage…
"YOU MOTHER FUCKER!" Fuu shouted as she tackled Naruto, wrapping her arm around his neck, giving him a noogie.
"OH, FUU, STOP!" Naruto shouted as she continued.
"It is good to see you again, Naruto." Shino said as he walked up with Gaara behind him.
"Naruto…" Gaara whispered, shaking in happiness as Fuu released Naruto.
"NARUTO!"
Gaara was trampled by the children, having seen their big brother figure outside the gates.
"Hey, everyone." Naruto said happily as he hugged each child with Jayjay and Evelyn several feet away.
"So, you two are friends?" Evelyn asked curiously, heavily hinting at more.
"Yep, but I consider him my little brother." Jayjay said, picking up on what Evelyn was dropping.
"What, you're leaving?"
"Yeah, I can't stay." Naruto answered Gaara. "I am only here for two days, and I have to stay with my classmates."
"BOO!" Fuu shouted. "WE ARE GOING TO HANG OUT!"
"Next time, Fuu." Naruto laughed as he left the gate.
Many goodbyes were given and tears were shed by the children as Naruto and Jayjay left the Orphanage, Fuu, Shino, Gaara, and Evelyn helping the children back in as the sky turned an inky black.
"You're worried, aren't you?" Jayjay randomly said, causing Naruto to look at her in confusion. "You are worried about Loona and your parents."
Naruto blinked.
"What, no I am…"
"Naruto…" Jayjay said as she walked in front of him and grabbed his shoulders. "I understand. If you want to go back, let me know. We can go save them by bringing them here."
Naruto bit his lip as he felt an immense weight on his shoulders.
'I want to save them.' Naruto thought consciously.
Naruto took his necklace in his hand, looking at it as the sky continued to darken, stars and the moon starting to shine through.
Naruto's hand gripped his necklace, looking up at Jayjay.
Hell, Goetia Mansion…
"Wait, you sure you want to go right now?" Millie asked as she ran after Moxxie.
"Positive, I can't believe I forgot it!" Moxxie shouted in irritation as they made it to the courtyard of the Mansion.
"Forgot what?"
Blitz was running beside Millie, wearing a loose bathrobe.
"Nothing of your…"
"Moxxie forgot to grab our wedding album." Millie answered. "We are going to shoot by the house real quick and will be right back."
"Hold it!"
The Imps were stopped by Loona's leg, nearly tripping her.
"I'LL go get it. I am faster anyway. Just tell me where it is." Loona asked as she looked at the sky.
It was getting dark and the clock off in the distance chimed.
It was getting close to the Extermination.
"It in my night stand on the left side of the bed…" Moxxie said as he handed Loona the house key, which she snatched out of his hand and took off on all fours, making her faster.
A gray blur zipped through the city, Loona arriving at the house within twenty minutes.
Loona entered the house, found the Master bedroom, and easily located the wedding album for Millie and Moxxie.
'Good, I have enough time to…' Loona thought as she put the book in her pocket before she was cut off as the clocks chiming got louder, signaling the beginning of the Extermination.
'What! Its to early!' Loona thought in a panic as she looked at her phones clock. 'It is impossible for them to start early!'
Within the dark skies, a beam of light broke through the dark skies.
An intense, inherit fear drowned Loona as she saw a horde of Exorcists.
Exorcists appear to have a fairly uniform appearance, each being black, white and gray humanoids with the only color being on their faces.
They possess two large goat-like horns on their head, above which sits a halo with a central gem and three smaller crystals on both sides. Along with two large wings on their backs, allowing them flight. Their face is covered with an LED screen mask capable of various expressions.
Swords, spears, clubs, bows, and guns were in their hands as they descended upon Pentagram City.
Loona turned, lunging forward to run on all fours again.
'Oh fuck, oh fuck, oh fuck, oh fuck!' she thought as she could feel holy magic spew out of the light of Heaven.
Loona could hear screams of pain and terror with her excellent hearing, her anxiety building with each cry silenced.
Loona ducked into an alley, looking over her shoulder. 'What the fuck was I thinking helping Millie and Fatty get their STUPID wedding album!'
An explosion made her eyes widen, the cloud looking similar to a mushroom cloud mixed with a clown mask.
'I won't make it in time.' Loona thought as she looked around.
Taking one step out of the alley, a corpse landed in silver smoke with one of the Exorcist's on top of the Sinner, spear imbedded in their torso.
The mask illuminated curiosity, before showing a devious smirk as the Exorcist saw Loona, who backed up into the wall.
The spear was violently torn from the corpse, organ chunks and blood coating the ranged weapon as the exorcist neared Loona.
'Naruto!' Loona thought as the spear was raised, closing her eyes.
Chapter 22, DONE!
Blitz: Bratja did some rewriting on chapter 21, go check them out. ALSO, STOP ASKING FOR NARUTO AND LOONA TO GET BACK TOGETHER! I WON'T ALLOW IT!
Loona belts Blitz outside the head, knocking him out.
Loona: Well, let's rip off the band aid I know the ending was not as good as it could be, Bratja would like suggestions to make it better if possible. Bratja wrote this chapter while sick, so I apologize for the drop in quality on his behalf.
Loona bows.
Millie: I hope everyone liked the character growth with Verosika, showing her demons and how she closed herself off but is now willing to be vulnerable and open up again.
Moxxie: Bratja already have a plan for Naruto, Verosika, and Loona, so don't worry.
Verosika: Also, DeviantArt deleted the NarutoXVerosika drawing Boo1194 and Bratja drew, but they reposted it. So, if you want me being fucked stupid by Naruto, by all means, check it out.
