Chapter 26: Meaning of Family

Millie and Moxxie's House…

"Ah, at least nothing was taken, or broken." Moxxie said as Millie sat on the couch while he made dinner.

"True, but I wish…" Millie started to say before she looked at the fireplace.

On the mantle were images of her and Moxxie on their wedding, Millie and her family, and one picture of herself, Moxxie, and Naruto.

*Ding-Dong*

"I'll get it." Millie said as she jumped off of the couch and headed toward the door.

Millie could hear the sounds of muffled talking outside.

'Who could it be at this hour?' She thought as she unlocked the door.

"Who is it?" Millie asked as she opened the door.

Her eyes widened as she saw Naruto trying to run while Loona kept him from doing so.

Naruto turned when he heard the door open, his eyes locking with Millie's.

"Oh, uh… hey… Mill…" Naruto awkwardly/nervously said as he relented his attempts to run.

"Naruto…" Millie said as she pushed the door open more.

Mother and Son stood in silence as Loona felt uncomfortable with the silence.

Loona yanked Naruto toward the door with little effort, making the poor boy stand before his mother as she put her arm around him, keeping Naruto in place as she fished around in her pocket.

"Honey," Moxxie called from the kitchen. "Who is it…"

"A-ha, got it." Loona said as she pulled out Millie and Moxxie's wedding album. "Here, Millie."

Millie absent mindedly took the album and put it on the nearby door table as Moxxie appeared behind her with a dish rag in hand.

"Oh, its just you Loo…"

Moxxie stopped when he took notice of Naruto.

Naruto avoided their gaze, right hand on his left arm.

Moxxie walked up to Naruto… and punched him in the stomach.

Not hard… yet Naruto doubled over, gasping.

"Why…" he asked in a very high-pitched tone as his blue eyes were perfect circles with tears on them.

"Oh, I didn't hit you that hard, besides…"

Moxxie was cut off when Millie kicked Naruto in the same spot.

'Talk about kicking a guy when he is down.' Loona thought as she took three steps back away from the family.

Naruto clutched his side.

'Both… both hit my injury… I think they opened it…' Naruto thought in massive amounts of pain.

It spread like fire through out his entire body, burning in excruciating pain where they hit him (His stab wound) and it went outward.

"HOW…" Millie choked as she took a knee, grabbing Naruto's face to make him face her, tears streaming down her face. "HOW DARE YOU JUST… RUN… OFF…"

Naruto's guilt stabbed him harder than their attacks to his wound could that moment.

Reaching out, Naruto shifted himself to a kneeling position and pulled Millie into a one-armed hug.

"I am sorry… Millie…" Naruto wheezed out an apology.

"It isn't over, Mister. Not by a long shot." Moxxie stated.

"I guess I'll take my leave then." Loona said as she helped Naruto up, Millie clinging to her son, who carried her.

"Yeah, you sure you can get home by yourself?" Naruto weakly asked his beloved.

"Who do you take me for? You?" Loona joked, smiling as she playfully punched Naruto in the arm.

"Ha-ha, get home safely." Naruto said with a sarcastic laugh.

Millie and Moxxie watched as the two kissed before Loona left, leaving the trio alone.

"Come on, dinner is almost ready, Naruto." Moxxie said as he ushered his wife and son into the house.

'It's good to be home.' Naruto thought as he carried Millie into the house with his bag.

He wobbled toward the table, sitting down.

'Oh, lord my side…' he mentally whimpered as Millie finally released him, allowing Naruto to flinch and grip his side.

"Something wrong, dear?" Millie asked in concern, wiping her face clean as she did.

"Just a flesh wound." Naruto said as he carefully lifted his shirt, revealing his torso, wrapped in plastic with staples and dental floss holding his injury together, to Millie.

"HOLY MOTHER FUCKING CHRIST, THAT LOOKS INFECTED!" Millie shouted as she noticed how disgustingly purple and puke green the injury looked.

A lightbulb of realization appeared over her head as Moxxie entered in a panic.

"What happened?" He asked in frantic fright as he got to Millie.

Tears BURST from Millie's eyes.

"NWARUTOOOOO!" Millie cried as she grabbed his hands. "I'M SHORRY… I KICKED YOU…"

Moxxie looked at the injury.

"FUCKING HELL, LORD SATAN, HOW ARE YOU STILL AWAKE!" He screeched as he jumped in panic.

"I am healing, well, Jayjay said I am since it is closed." Naruto replied, covering his injury. "One of those clowns got me."

"You were attacked by an exorcist?" Millie asked.

"I killed an Exorcist."

Millie and Moxxie's eyes widened.

'Impressive…' they thought as it was somewhat rare for anyone to kill an exorcist without dying shortly after.

"Pushing that aside, dinner is ready, and you have a lot of explaining to do, mister." Moxxie stated sternly.

Naruto is his first child, so he had to be tough.

"I understand." Naruto replied as he sat patiently waiting.

"You sure you don't need a hospital?" Millie asked as Moxxie went to bring out dinner.

"Apparently I should be fine tomorrow afternoon at the latest…" Naruto said looked at Millie.

"Alright, bon appetite." Moxxie said as he laid out a large baking dish filled with Scalloped Potatoes and a bowl of steamed veggies.

Naruto swallowed some drool that pooled in his mouth and smiled.

'A nice warm, home cooked meal.' Naruto thought as he took some of the veggies and scalloped potatoes and took a bite.

He smiled stupidly; his body visibly relaxing.

'Delicious…' He thought in bliss.

"So, Naruto." Moxxie said as he put his cup of water down, sounding serious, which got Naruto's attention. "We have to talk about your punishment."

Naruto's ears drooped slightly.

'I expected this after dinner, but I can do it now.' Naruto thought as he chewed his food before swallowing.

"I accept any and all punishment you deem necessary, Mox." Naruto said as he set his utensils down. "After all, I must have caused you two much panic when you got home and I was gone… especially that note…"

Naruto slumped, his arms curling up around his head, trying to hide his embarrassment.

'I said such hurtful things with that note…' Naruto thought as he remembered writing it.

"Yes, your mother and I were very upset, concerned, and over all frantic." Moxxie stated as he sat across from his son. "As your father I will administer punishment."

"Mox…"

Moxxie held up a hand, silencing Millie.

"First: You are to do your chores without arguing for one week. Any action of arguing adds an additional week." Moxxie stated.

Naruto nodded.

"Second: You must ask us to leave the house or have anyone over for one week. If you leave or invite Loona over without permission will add an additional week."

"Under… wait why Loona specifically?" Naruto asked in confusion as he realized what Moxxie had stated.

"I didn't mention Loona." Moxxie replied hastily, realizing he had indeed mentioned Loona by name.

"Naruto, let's move on." Millie urged, since she knew there was one more punishment that was the most important.

Naruto nodded, allowing Moxxie to regain his composure.

"Third: You have to get a job." Moxxie stated. "Luckily for you, we were able to get you one with us."

"I know I said I killed an exorcist…" Naruto said before scarfing some food down and drinking some water. "But I don't want to kill humans."

"We know, sweetie. It's why we got you a job as Treasurer of IMP." Millie explained with a bright smile. "Though, if you did want training, I'll be glad to teach you how to kill."

"uhm, well, yes, I would, but I would like Tex to help me as well."

"Who is Tex?" Moxxie asked.

Naruto was about to ask what Moxxie was talking about, but remembered that the imps haven't met Vortex and Jayjay yet.

"They are the people I stayed with during the Extermination… uhm… if it isn't to much, can they come over tomorrow… they said they wanted to meet you two." Naruto asked.

He was being punished, so he needed to ask.

"I don't see any reason to not allow it." Millie said as she looked at Moxxie. "We can meet your friends tomorrow around noon of that is okay with them."

"I'll call them after dinner and let them know." Naruto said happily. 'For punishments, they aren't that hard.'

Dinner lightened up after this.

"We are…" Moxxie said as he and Naruto were doing dishes. "We are really happy you are back, Naruto."

"Hm?"

"You know, Millie and I actually adopted you, not because of Loona turning you." Moxxie told him.

'I didn't know that.' Naruto thought. 'Wait, I actually do not even know why they adopted me to begin with…'

"Millie and I want to have children," Moxxie continued as he handed Naruto a soap-soaked dish to rinse. "But Hell is not the safest place for a baby. So, when we heard Loona say she turned you, we thought… nothing of it."

Naruto nearly face planted into the counter.

"We didn't think of adoption, until Blitz drunkenly brought in the file on you." Moxxie said, glancing at Naruto carefully.

'That file.' Naruto thought, his mood souring slightly.

It was all because of that magical file on him that he ran away.

"The boss left it here, and we read it. We were touched, and could see you needed a family." Moxxie said as he scrubbed the baking pan with steel wool to get the caked-on food off. "We knew you would need people to look after you when you turned, so we decided adoption."

"I… I see." Naruto replied softly as they stood in silence for a bit.

"Are you still upset at us for the file?" Moxxie asked to break the silence.

Naruto hesitated to answer.

His ears twitched.

He could hear Millie nearby, listening in on the conversation.

"At the orphanage, we would give a file of the child to a potential parent to read over before making their decision." Naruto answered, a very subtle smile full of nostalgia. "We would include a physique sheet that had medical and mental evaluations. So, you guys having that file… is normal."

Millie teared up.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!"

Naruto and Moxxie jumped in their spot, turning to see Millie flying toward Naruto, mascara filled tears hitting the ground.

"MY MOXXIE AND MY FISHCAKE!" She cried as she slammed into her son and husband, wrapping her arms around them. "I LOVE YOU BOTH SO MUCH!"

"Love you too, Millie." Moxxie said as he hugged his beloved wife.

"Love you too, mom, dad." Naruto choked out.

"…"

"…"

"Huh?" Moxxie and Millie got close to Naruto. "WHAT DID YOU CALL US?"

"Mill and Mox?"

"NO, YOU CALLED US MOM AND DAD!"

"I did?"

"YEEEEEES!"

Meanwhile…

Verosika walked through Dry Fuck Studios, freshly showered and clothed after a long day.

'I wish I let Naruto fuck me in that bathroom.' Verosika thought in angered sexual frustration as she was still massively horny.

However, she pushed this to the side.

'I have more important matters to attend to.' Verosika thought as she entered the elevator.

She exited a few minutes later and made her way to the rec room.

"Ace."

"Yes, Vero?" Said incubus called out from his game of Pac-Man.

"I have a commission for you."

Pac-Man paused mid bite, allowing Ace to look at his boss.

"You have me at half-mast." He said, partially interested.

"I need you to turn this…" Verosika said as she pulled out a clothed item, opening it to her friend. "And turn it into a weapon for Naruto."

In her hand was the spear head that Naruto had used.

The same one that had impaled his side.

"Vero, I said you had me at half-mast," Ace said as he pushed away from his game, a cocky smirk as he approached his employer, grabbing the spear head. "But now you have my erection."

Verosika smirked.

'Don't worry, Naruto, Ace is the best weapon smith I know, so you will get a weapon worthy of you, my future hubby.' Verosika thought as she and Ace started discussing what kind of weapon could be made with the spear head.

At the Same time…

Loona stood still with eyes closed as she let the warm water hit her body.

'Right about now, Naruto, Millie, and Fatty should be apologizing… or I'd like to believe that.' Loona thought as she reached out and grabbed some special hellhound body wash that acted as a shampoo/conditioner/body wash, allowing her to groom her fur easier.

Lathering her body, she applied some to her hair as she turned, allowing the water to wash away the soap.

After her hair, she moved onto her tail.

Several minutes pass before Loona exited the shower, grabbing her bathrobe and towel, wrapping it around her head.

'I guess I'll leave Naruto alone for now, since he must be getting an earful from Fatty.' Loona thought as she exited the bathroom. 'Today was fun, spending time with the kids, the bathroom at the park, and then trick or treating.'

Smiling happily, she walked to her room.

"Hey Looney, what do you want for dinner?" Blitz called from the kitchen.

"Hmm…" Loona stopped to think. "How about pork chops."

Twenty Minutes Later…

Naruto collapsed onto his bed.

'Ugh… I can't believe…' Naruto thought as he opened his eyes, looking toward the ceiling, seeing his Battle Tendency poster with Joseph and Caesar above him. 'I called them Mom and Dad.'

His heart ached.

'Dad…'

Naruto reached above his headboard and grabbed the photo of his parents.

Minato and Kushina.

Naruto smiles as he puts it back as he sat up, looking at the photo.

'I won't forget you,' He thought as he felt at ease. 'But I will move forward, Mill and Mox are my mom and dad now.'

A memory struck his head.

'Oh, that's right, I need to call Vortex to let him know he can visit with Jayjay tomorrow.' Naruto thought as he grabbed his phone.

Shooting Vortex a text Naruto then pulled up Verosika.

He smiled as he sent her a quick text to let her know he was doing okay, and that he can't wait to see her again.

IMMEDIATE RESPONSE, Verosika replied.

Busy, can't be distracted. Love you, stud~

Naruto smiled and sent Loona a good night text.

Vortex replied.

'Alright.' Naruto thought as he texted Millie, letting her and Moxxie know that Vortex would come around noon with Jayjay.

Putting his phone on his charger, Naruto lay back in bed, pulling his blanket up as he took his headband off, turning off his light.

Naruto fell asleep within twenty minutes, a smile on his face as happiness and fuzziness permeated his dreams.

Lucifer's Castle…

"Dear, I am going to bed." Lilith said as she leaned into her husband.

"Alright, dear, I shall follow suit." Lucifer said as he kissed his wife's cheek. "I need to finish my last few pieces of work, and I'll meet you there, my Forbidden Fruit."

Lilith chuckled.

She stood up and walked away, swaying her hips.

Lucifer noticed.

'Such an enchanting creature you are, my wife.' Lucifer thought as he smiled like a love-struck dumbass.

Getting back to work, Lucifer focused on his work…

"Hm… what was that sound?" Lucifer said as he looked up, not hearing the sound. "Hm. Might have…"

*Clink*

Lucifer stood up.

'Okay, I know I heard something this time.' He thought, his cheerful demeanor vanishing. 'But it didn't come from JUST anywhere.'

Lucifer removed himself from his desk and walked to an old grandfather clock.

Well, not really a clock per say.

It had multiple hands, and each one had a mug shot of a person.

One of himself, one of his wife, and one of his precious daughter.

The rest were workers in his castle.

Instead of numbers 1-12, it was a different room in the castle.

Currently, Lucifer's was in the position to show he was in his study.

Charlie's was 'Out of the House' with her girlfriend Vagatha.

Lilith's was 'Bedroom', showing she was indeed waiting for him.

Very much like a familiar wizarding family's clock.

That info isn't important, but what is BEHIND the clock.

Lucifer moved it to the side and entered a secret chamber that ONLY Lilith and himself knew about.

It was a secret addition to his study that he painstakingly made sure was untraceable.

Inside… were Lucifer's trophies.

Anything we readers/creators can think of, it was there.

The room was massive.

But there was ONE special trophy that Lucifer headed towards, ignoring ALL others.

'Mar…' He thought as he walked to the corner of the room, where a hanging case was placed.

Inside was the most valuable trophy Lucifer had acquired in his life.

'Mar… did you cause that noise?' Lucifer thought as he touched the glass.

*Clink*

Lucifer's eyes widened.

'So… someone might be worthy of you, Mar.' Lucifer thought as he stood straight, adjusting his posture. "So, I might see you again, my friend."

Lucifer bowed lightly before leaving, and upon closing the door, the light turned off.

*Clink*

Skip, Mid-Morning…

"NARUTO, QUICKLY, CLEAN THE LIVING ROOM!" Millie shouted as she ran through the hallway, cleaning it like a mad man. "MOXXIE, MAKE SURE THE BATHROOM IS CLEANED AND BLEACHED!"

"YES, MA'AM!" Naruto and Moxxie shouted as they ran around like chickens with their heads freshly torn off.

Meanwhile…

"I can't wait to meet Naruto's parents." Jayjay squealed as she skipped down the side walk.

She wore normal blue jeans with a clean purple blouse. Her hair was done in a half-up fishtail braid. She had forgone her favorite feather hair accessories for simple white flower pins.

"Pay attention, you're going to fall." Flare called out with a sweet smile.

Jayjay blew a raspberry toward her boyfriend's dad.

"Seriously, pay attention or else…"

Jayjay slammed into a phone pole.

'Well, there goes the reliable big sister vibe she was trying for.' Flare thought as Vortex ran to his woman, worried she was injured.

Chapter 26, DONE!

Lucifer's clock is basically the Weasley Family Clock from Harry Potter.

Nothing much today, as again, I am writing this in the dead of night. It is why I wasn't as elaborate with the review responses, especially the long ones. Sorry.
