Chapter 38: Party Preparation

Blitz and Loona's Apartment…

"And that should be good enough." Loona said as she put the scissor's down.

They silently drank, the only sounds being from the Tv and the silverware Blitz used against his plate.

"So…" Loona said cautiously. "You gonna tell me why you are so irritated as of late?"

Blitz's eyes narrowed with a sigh.

He didn't respond instantly, seemingly going over what he wanted to say.

Over her shoulder was a large bag, that was making a chain clinking sound.

Humming as she made her way down, Loona felt excitement at spending time with Naruto and Verosika again after the last few days Naruto was gone.

Once outside, Loona barely had to wait as Verosika pulled up with Naruto in the driver seat.

Verosika wore a tight off shoulder shirt that puffed out at her waist, being tucked into her blue jeans. Her sunglasses over her eyes with her confident smirk.

"Come on in, stranger." Naruto said with a smirk, leaning out of the window.

He was wearing an orange tank top with jean shorts.

Loona chuckled as she kissed him before getting in the back of the car.

"Nice to see you too, smart ass. Now, where we headed?" Loona asked as she shut the door, letting Verosika drive off.

"Well, we were thinking of going back to Dry Fuck Studios for a bit, make sure my crew isn't fucking around." Verosika answered as she turned the car. "Then we gotta take our stud to his new work place to ask for a job."

Loona blinked.

"What?"

"I quit IMP." Naruto answered sadly, looking at Loona through the mirror. "Blitz found out about Verosika yesterday, and to save face, I quit."

'That makes a lot of sense to why he was mad.' Loona thought in concern.

"What is it?" Verosika asked as they neared Dry Fuck Studios.

"I'll show you in a minute." Loona said as they passed the gate.

Verosika parked the car outside the garage, the trio exiting the car.

"Okay, Loona, what is this 'cool' thing you wanna show us?" Naruto asked, trying to hide his smile but failing.

Loona pridefully smirked as she pulled out one of the hooks.

"OH FUCK, IS THAT…" Naruto shouted as he grabbed Loona's hand. "IT'S THE CLAWS OF HADES FROM GOD OF WAR THREE!"

Loona took hold of the weapon, twirling it around expertly a few times before she threw it, arching it through the air before she caught it.

She spun on her foot, slamming it into the ground.

Purple flame like skulls bellowed out from the strike before they petered out.

"Yep, I got it from Kermit…" Loona said as she pulled the hook back to her hand as Verosika walked into the garage while Naruto deadpanned.

"Kermit… the frog?" Naruto asked as he looked at Loona in concern before putting his hand on her forehead. "Are you feeling alright?"

"Yes, I am perfectly fine, besides, he made your duel disks." Loona told him.

"These ones?" Naruto asked as he pulled both of them out of his bag.

"Why do you have them here?" Loona asked as Verosika exited the garage.

"Because I wanted to play Yugioh with Vortex later." Naruto admitted.

"What's going on?" Verosika asked as she put her bag in the car.

Loona shook her head and took one of the duel disks from Naruto, looking it over before she pointed to a green frog logo on the bottom of the arm attachment.

"Oh, huh?" Naruto said in confusion as he took it back.

"These the duel disks you told me about?" Verosika said as she put the other one on her arm, turning it on.

"Yeah, they are." Naruto said as he put his on and drew a few cards. "They are powered by magic to project holograms of monsters."

Naruto demonstrated by summoning the Celtic Guardian.

"Wow, that is cool…" Verosika said as Loona put her weapon back in her bag, then in the car. "But can it be used in a fight?"

"Uh, I don't think so…" Naruto said, waving his hand through the 'monster'.

"Well, why not pump some more magic into it." Loona shrugged as she leaned into the car. "It wouldn't hurt to try."

Naruto sighed and summoned Kuriboh.

"Alright, I'll try now." Naruto said as he channeled a larger portion of his magic into his duel disk, picking a card from his hand. "I'll sacrifice Kuriboh and Celtic Guardian to summon Red Eyes Black Dragon."

Black electricity cracked to life around the duel disk, which suddenly became heavy, nearly making Naruto fall as an orb of hellish red bloomed from the board, transforming into the classic dragon.

"Woah…" Naruto said as he stood up, knees shaking in excitement.

Reaching out and touching the dragon's leg…

"It's real… enough I guess." Naruto said, trying to keep his excitement in. "Let's put it to the test."

Naruto cleared his throat, Verosika giggling at his antics.

"Red Eyes!"

The dragon turned and looked at Naruto, seeing Naruto pointing outward from the Studios.

"Attack, BLACK FIRE BULLET!" Naruto declared.

Red Eyes reared back, deep red flames with dark energy warping around it before it blasted a single orb of magic, destroying a building.

Naruto jumped back, his smile so damn big that it threatened to make his head fall off.

"Well, that is something." Loona said as Naruto deactivated the duel disk, taking the other one from Verosika and putting them away. "You plan on using it in a fight, don't you?"

"I didn't say that." Naruto replied.

"You are adorable." Verosika chirped, pinching Naruto's cheek.

"Okay, we can talk about that in my office…" Flare said as he motioned to his office.

"But before that, I need a favor." Naruto said with a guilt-ridden face.

"Well, it depends on what it is." Flare responded.

"Please teach me etiquette…" Naruto said with a bow.

Meanwhile…

"You invited Naruto to the gathering?" Stolas asked Octavia.

Octavia shifted under her father's gaze.

"Was it a bad idea?" She asked sheepishly.

"Oh, no, my dear starlet." Stolas said as he pulled his beloved daughter into a tender hug. "I am not upset. I'm happy, actually."

Octavia smiled in her father's embrace.

"I am just worried." Stolas said as he released Octavia, taking her hands in his. "Naruto is a…"

Stolas paused and looked around, making sure… his wife wasn't snooping around or listening in.

"Naruto is a Lycan-turned." He whispered to Octavia. "Lucifer had the majority of them killed centuries ago. So we have to be very careful if we bring him to the party."

Octavia felt her heart drop.

"Do you want him to come?" Stolas asked Octavia.

"No, we can't…" Octavia started to say.

"Octavia."

The Father-Daughter Duo turned and saw Stella.

"Yes, Mother?"

"I just informed our King that the three of us and your guest are going to be early for the gathering." Stella announced.

Octavia and Stolas froze over.

It was to late.

Naruto would have to go.

Paw Print Paradise…

"I understand the situation." Flare said, spinning in his office chair to face his newest employee. "I'll allow you to work here and I'll help you prepare for the party."

"Thank you, sir." He said with a bow. "With the party in two days, I thought I'd be fucked."

"Well, it will be a rush job." Flare said as he stood up. "But we can get you prepared with Manners of a seasoned Hell-dweller."

Skip, Two Days, Evening…

Naruto took a deep breathe as he stood outside his house wearing a nice tuxedo, with embossed fabric and an orange tie.

He was not wearing his signature headband, having his hear slicked back with heavy amounts of hair gel due to his spikey hair being… to spikey.

He patiently waited for Stolas's family to pick him…

Stolas's family limo appeared and rolled up.

"Naruto," Stolas said from within as his butler exited the driver side, walking briskly to open the back door. "It is good to see you."

"It is an Honor to be in your presence once again, Lord Stolas." Naruto said respectfully as he entered the car.

Stolas, wearing his regal attire, smiled brightly as Stella stoically ignored him.

Naruto sat next to Octavia, who was nervously twiddling her thumbs.

'I have to keep him safe. He is my friend and I am potentially bringing him to his death.' Octavia thought as Naruto smiled at her.

The butler shut the door and got back in the driver seat, quickly getting back on the road.

Lucifer's Castle…

Charlie Morningstar, wearing a beautiful dress gazed up toward the stars as guests started to arrive.

"Hon, it's time we also get ready."

"Okay, Vaggie." Charlie replied as she blinked, smiling sadly as she turned her gaze to her beloved.

Vaggie wore a dress like Charlie, with a slightly shorter skirt and sleeves, with a different design than Charlies.

Walking up to her girlfriend, Charlie kissed Vaggie's cheek, taking her hand.

"I am ready." She said with a smile.

The love birds left the tower, the stars behind them with the iconic clocktower ticking toward midnight.

As if it was ticking down to doom.
