Hawkeye was waiting for Class 1-A at a special area of UA High, one they dubbed the gauntlet., today was the day that he would take the class and put them through their paces, and soon they arrived, all in their gym uniforms.
"Good Morning class, I'll be your guest instructor today, I am Hawkyere, a hero from another world who is considered one of the best, today we are going to go through this: The Gauntlet, a 200 meter obstacle course designed to test quirks" Hawkeye said as the class looked at each other and smiled, knowing this was one of the biggest testing areas outside of the USJ. "Now I think you all know what to expect, but I don't think you do. So Bakugo!" Hawkeye shouted, making the boy with blonde spikes smirk and step up to the started
"DIE!" he shouted as he started, using his quirk to propel him through the air until he got to a wall and landed placing his hands ready to get over the wall, only to be shocked and land face down. "WHAT THE HELL!" Bakugo snapped getting up and the being sent to the start
"You started before I told you something" Hawkeye said "you'll be doing the obstacle course without your quirks!" Hawkeye said
"WHAT!" they class shouted shocked
"Yeah, you'll be quirkless from the start to the end of this exercise" Hawkeye frowned.
"But sir, may I ask why?" Iida asked shocked
"Oh its simple, you're getting cocky. You think that you can rely on your quirks and everything will be okay. Tell me what happens if there is something that takes away your quirks. Stuns them, paralyses them, then what?" Hawkeye asked
"But why would we need to fight without our quirk?" Kirishima asked
"We don't, that's way we have them,. Most heroes have quirks for a reason, you archer using extra" Bakugo snorted.
"What if I told you that there were heroes on my world, that are twice as talented as you with no powers" Hawkeye said
"Incredible, I'm sorry for making assumptions" Iida said
"So this is how it's going to go, you will go one at a time until you all have gone. Now Miss Hagakure and Miss Asooey?
"Asui" Tsu said
"Miss Asui your permanent ally active quirks have been taken into account, same as the heteromorphic classmates. Now since they are always on. you may choose to sit out as I said before this is a quirkless exercise" Hawkeye said
"He's a natural" Thor said watching the class
"Indeed" Black Widow said
"Though it looked like he wanted to kill Bakugo" All-Might said
"I think there could be some underlying issues" Thor said
"There could be" Black Widow shrugged
"Still who do you think is going to do the best" Thor asked
"Not the blonde one" Red Guardian said
"Why not?" Black Widow frowned
"Because he too cocky, to self assured in power." Red Guardian grunted
"like you?" Black Widow asked
"Natasha you wound me" he jokingly said
"So what are the incentives?" Black Widow asked
"So you're probably asking what the incentives are right?" Hawkeye asked making the kids look at each other
"Yeah" they all shrugged
"Well up there is my delightful apprentice Kate Bishop, I'll leave it up to her. Now if you are found using your quirk, you get 30 seconds added onto your time for each use of your quirk, so since Bakugo got one use in he's time is currently 30 seconds in" Hawkeye told them
"WHAT!" Bakugo shouted
"So that is what happened, but if you go over three quirk uses. Not only will you get the 30 second penalty" Hawkeye smiled
"You get an additional punishment courtesy of me, DEADPOOL!" Deadpool said showing up
"Oh goodie" Hawkeye said "So let's line back up and go again."
"The first one to get go is Miss Mina Ashido right?" Hawkeye asked
"Yes sir" she smiled and saluted
"You seem cheery, I like you. 3, 2, 1 GO!" he shouted as Mina sprinted forward, sliding under the first one and them jumped over the second on, only to have three disks fly out at her
YIPES!" she yelped as she ran, only to feel her footing become uneasy. She looked and saw that the floor now was covered in an anti-friction substance
Cool she smiled and then used her movements from "This is just like using my acid skate skill" Mina said confusing Hawkeye
"Mina can use her acid to skate along, that is why she has holes in her boots" Jiro explained
"Cool" Hawkeye nodded before Mina got to a section where two walls had boxing gloves punching out of the wall. She slowly made her away across using her dance skills to dodge each one, and cone she was out the other side, she cheered
"YES!" she exclaimed, only to be sucker punched into the foam mat "Oh man" she groaned
"Try again" Kate said
"Yeah" Mina said as she got up and tried again. She got to the end with a reasonable 4 minutes 23 seconds
"Good, NEXT PLAYER!" Hawkeye shouted.
Soon all of the class except for one student ad gone, most of their times ranging from three minutes 52 second for Iida, having gotten a penalty for accidentally activating his quirk while slide to about 8 minutes for Koda who was the slowest student. Someone of them had no issues with certain obstacle, like Mineta who walked under the boxing glove. Now it was time for the last student: Izuku Midiorya. Hawkeye knew the kid was quirkless most of his life and that is why he wanted to show them that being quirkless meant you couldn't be a hero
"You ready Izuku" Hawkeye asked
"Yeah" Izuku nodded
"THEN GO!" Hawkeye shouted as Izuku took off, quickly getting through the hurdles and then ran at the zero friction area and stopped, letting his momentum carry him across, once he got to the boxing walls he commando crawled across.
"Not a bad strategy" Iida said
"Yeah, and he's doing in good time" Ojiro said, while Izuku had gotten to the disk firing section, this was where most of his classmates had a hard time and a couple of them used their quirk. Izuku stood for a second and watched them, his eyes darting to each section; then with a quick nod he ran across, dodging each and every disk
"How is he doing that?" Hagakure asked
"This is Midoriya we're talking about here; you know how observant he is" Kirishima said
"Good point" Hakagure said as Izuku got past the next obstacle easily
"He's making great time" Hawkeye thought smiled before after about 3 minutes Izuku crossed the line while panting
"3 minutes 10 seconds, well done" Kate said before planting a peck on his cheek and walked back over.
"Really?" Hawkeye asked
"he's cute" Kate smiled
"Anyway as you can see being a hero without powers is hard, but doable" Hawkeye said
"Yeah, because it was the nerd" Bakugo scoffed making Hawkeye glare at him
"Anyway there are those on my world like I said before there are heroes on my world that are twice as skilled with NO powers, me being one of them" Hawkeye told them, while making them mutter and talk about it, Bakugo was mad and ran at Hawkeye who turned to Kate
"Sue's bringing them in right about, WATCH OUT!" she shouted as Hawkeye tapped his ear and turned around dodging the explosion and punching Bakugo in the gut. Standing up the blonde was shouting something at him
"I SHOULD TEAR YOU TO PIECE YOU DAMN!" Bakugo shouted before a shield formed around him
"That is enough" a voice said as a woman with blonde hair wearing a costume with a white circle on the centre of her light blue suyit
"Thank you Sue" Kate said before she signed something to Hawkeye who tapped his ear
"Thank you, nice move Sue. Guys and girls this is Sue Richards aka Invisible Woma" Hawkeye said making Hagakure quietly gasp
"Hi, I'm Sue Richards I can turn invisible" she smiled "as well as create force fields" she said dropping the shield from Bakugo. Turning visible again "And I'm here to escort the next group Class 1-B" she informed them as they other class came in
"Hello guys, 1-A you're excused" Hawkeye said making the class move off.
"No way, is that?" Uraraka asked as they got into their dorm and saw Thor's hammer in the middle of the lounge room,
"yeah it is!" Kirishima exclaimed
"I wonder why?" Tsu asked
"Maybe he left it here, we better return it to him" Kaminari said as he tried to lift it up, and couldn't even budge it. "okay"
"Here let me" Sato said as he had some sugar and then went to left the hammer, which wasn't budging for him either, if anything the floor was being damaged more
"Let's see if I can do this" Uraraka said using her quirk on it, making it float off the ground, but when she tried to move it, it hit the floor again "oh"
"It was a good try Ochako" Yaoyorozu said before she herself tried, not getting anywhere
"Hey Deku" Uraraka said
"yeah?" he asked
"Try it" Uraraka suggested
"Um, sure" he said as he grabbed the handle, everyone waited with baited breath. Putting some effort in Izuku started to actually lift the hammer up managed to get it a couple of feet off the floor before it slammed down
"that was awesome Deku" Uraraka cheered making Izuku blushed
"Yeah, yeah whatever, now watch me" Bakugo said grabbing Mjolnir and was a bit to lift when he was shocked by it. "Why you" he growled making the other students snicker.
"He has confirmed my suspicions" Thor said walking onto the Liberator's bridge
"The kid?" Hawkeye asked eating an apple as he walked up to him.
"Indeed, he processes the very worthiness to be a hero, but something is holding him back" Thor said
"What if he's like Steve?" Hawkeye asked
"You mean he was weak but he suddenly got a super power, or rather quirk?" Thor asked
"He could be" Steve said "But where did he get the power from?"
"There is a rumour that there was a man calling himself All For One after his quirk" Coulson said
"Meaning that there has to be the opposite, One for All" Steve said
"All quirk for one man and One Quirk for all of humanity. And I think the currently user is our friend Izuku Midoriya" Thor said
"So how do we bring it up?" Steve asked.
Meanwhile in the chapel Shiozaki were sitting in the chapel with her hands folded and eyes closed in prayer.
"Mind if I join you?" a voice asked making her look up to see one of the otherworldly heroes standing next to her
"Oh of course" Shiozaki said moving over "Are you here to pray?" she asked
"I am" Matt said as he sat down "for the victims I take it?" he asked
"Yes and my friends. Please do not take this the wrong way but I didn't think that" she started making Matt chuckle
"Its okay, I once thought that exact same thing. That among the other worlds there was a different version of God for each world, but I never thought he was the same one" Matt said removing his sunglasses "Then I discovered that God isn't Universal, or Multiversal. He's Omniversal"
"So he's everywhere, but from what I can tell he made each version of the multiverse so why did he make each one different?" Shiozaki asked
"I am not sure, but he made everyone in those worlds special and unique. That is all I know, too bad Nightcrawler didn't come. He would have like you" Matt said
"Oh?" she asked enjoying the talk she was having with Matt. "Thank you for talking with me sir, it was enlighten but I must get back to class"
"You're quite welcome, and I look forward to having another chat. But I have to inquire, does your quirk really make your hair into vines?" he asked only to have her hand him a strand of it to feel.
"I noticed you were using a cane to get around" Shiozaki said.
"In a way I am, I am physically blind, but my abilities or as you call them quirk allows me to see the world. Sometimes it's a curse but other time I realise it's a gift from God just like your vines" Matt said.
"Incredible" Shiozaki said amazed.
While Matt and Shizoaki talked Toru was laying in her room, looking up at the ceiling.
'So that is what I can do if I had the full control of my quirk, if I could control it' she thought as she was looking at her 'hand' or rather where he hand should have been as they were "I wonder if she can help me, I mean" she said sitting up and looking in the mirror, seeing only the clothes she was wearing, she couldn't tell you what her hair was like, the colour of her eyes, she couldn't even tell if she had pimples. And while she was a usually happy-go-lucky girl there were day where she didn't feel so happy go lucky, and on those days she would just sit in her room and look at the mirror.
"Toru you in there?" a voice asked as someone knocked on her door
"Masashiro?" she asked as she opened the door for her boyfriend
"You in one of your down moods?" He asked hugging her
"Yeah," Toru said as she leant against him "Just one of those days" she smiled
"Oh dear, I hate it when you have one of those days, so cuddle and a movie?" he asked
"Maybe just cuddles" She said as she laid in his arms. Ojiro nodded and held her while rubbing her back.
"Huh this is interesting" Reed said
"And that is Doc?" Touya asked as he was getting more blood drawn.
"Oh a student here with the same power set as my wife" Reed said
"So what?" Touya asked as he removed the needle from his arms and laid there, trying to just make sure that he was able to stand
"I'm thinking about something" Reed said
"How's today's blood?" Hank asked
"Still containing those nano frost particles we've seen before" Reed said.
"Oh looks like mum's quirk is in me" Dabi said as he laid back
"I'm sure we can heal those scars" Hank said
"Why bother, it's to let my dear old dad know that he fucked up" Dabi smirked
"Charming" Hank said
"Easy Hank, don't let him get to you" Reed said as he grabbed something and brought it over "How is Miss Toga's rehabilitation?"
"She's actually responding positively to the treatment, though she still exhibits some metal instability. Nothing I can't handle" Hank said as Dabi was confused
"You see Mr Todoroki, while he is an entomologist, he is also a pacifist and has conducted several villains rehabiliation services"
"Oh I see, am I going to go through that shit?" Dabi asked
"You might" Reed said
"Indded" Hank nodded.
"So these are the support labs huh?" Ironman asked as he walked over to the support department,. He was interested
"Easy Tony" Rhodey said
"Yeah yeah, this isn't like the San Francisco Institute of Technology" Tony smiled
"You talking about those exchange students aren't you?" Rhodey asked before the two heard rumbling. "MOVE!" he shouted
"What was that?" Tony asked as he coughed up smoke
"MY BABY!" a student was heard shouting, the two rushed in to see a girl covered in oil, soot and general grime.
"Impressive, it took me what 5 years out of college to make explosions that big" Tony said before he looked through the girl's stuff "These are incredible, did you?" Tony asked
"Yeah, I was testing my most recent baby out when I over charged the magnetic energy coils and they then superheated the lithium ion battery in it" the girl said "I'm Mei Hatsume by the way"
"Incredible, what was the Lithium Ion battery used for?" Tony asked
"Oh I was using it to generate a containment field" Hatsume said as she showed Tony and Rhodey
"Ionized contained plasma blades, didn't one of the student at SFIT do that already?" Rhodey asked
"Yeah he did, and he's a pioneer in the field of Plasma engineering" Tony said "Hang on" Tony then pulled out his phone and summoned an armour there. He went to the gauntlet and opened it up before taking something from it and scanned it, making a full 3D holographic model "Why not try this, it will cool down the Lithium Ion battery enough to help with the ionized field" Tony said
"That's brilliant!" Hatsume said before she looked at it "Huh it seems like that is similar to our ZREG"
"ZREG?" Tony asked
"Zero Radiation Energy generation, it's the next generation of clean energy" Hatsume said
"Wait you have repulsor technology on this world?" Tony asked shocked.
"Oh yes, thought its mostly contained top I-Island" Hatsume said
"I-Island?" Rhodey asked
"A floating city of modern science, most of it involves hero support great and what not" Hatsume said
"I see" Tony said before he frowned 'Could that be what Doom is after, because it would be the one reason he had to come here was technology that was different from our own?' Tony mentally wondered.
"The fool, he is probably wondering if I came to this world for its technology, which is more diverse and slightly more advance then our won, but I assure you" Doom said
"So we are not here for the technology?" Baron Mordo asked
"It is not" Doom said as he dismissed the mystical window he had been using to spy on UA, but then he's mind wondered to the vision he had of the teenagers trying to lift the hammer, and one of them succeeding only for it to stop being lifted. "He is worthy, but he's mind betrays him, that is why he did not fully lift it. Interesting, never have I seen a boy like him, and he's power was like that of Steve Rogers" Doom thought about it "If he was on our world, he could be a big threat" Doom frowned 'Maybe I will spare him in my grand plans. Izuku Midoriya, I will keep my eye on you" Doom said.
G'day Guys Grizz here, and wow what a chapter most of which is just used for setting things up for future chapters like what is happening with Toru, the stuff with Doom, Izuku wondering how worthy he actually is, the non-powered heroes and the similarity between Steve and Izuku. Nwo I would be remissed if I didn't have the major christian characters also interact which is probably going to be one of the more interesting thinsg given how its a major them of the Daredevil series and something personal to me since I am one, so look forward to seeing those thinsg being pay off, but I feel like thsi isn't the best chapter I've done for this series so far, but you guys will probably enjoy
