Chapter 77: Expectations

"You sure you couldn't leave Andy with Millie and Moxxie?" Blitz asked as he drove his new Hell-mer through the streets like a Hell-Bat.

"No, mom and dad were busy with other things, and I couldn't think of someone else." Naruto answered, holding onto the handle for his dear life.

In the backseats were Andromeda in her baby seat, Loona to the left, and Verosika on the right.

Blitz rolled his eyes and refocused on driving.

He white knuckle gripped the steering wheel.

'What the fuck is going on, Stolas?' Blitz thought in concern.

Flashback…

"Ah, it is good to be home." Verosika said as they finally arrived at DFS, having just picked up Andromeda from Vortex and Jayjay.

"Well, let's get the car unpacked." Naruto said before his phone went off. "Hello?"

"N-Naruto…" Octavia choked out. "We need you… and the red dickhead."

"What? Octavia…" Naruto said in a panic, getting everyone's attention. "What's going on!"

"JUST GET HERE QUICK! DAD… DAD NEEDS HELP!"

"Alright, Blitz and I will be there soon!" Naruto confirmed, hanging up. "Blitz…"

"Yeah, let's MOVE!" Blitz shouted, already in the driver seat of his Hell-mer.

Naruto jumped into the passenger seat… followed by Loona and Verosika with Andromeda behind them in the back.

Loona strapped the baby in as Blitz put the petal to the metal.

Flashback End…

Blitz's chest felt like a gong from how hard and fast his heart was beating.

Each blood pumping second was loaded with concern, worry, and anxiety.

'What happened, what happened, what happened…' was repeatedly chanted within the Imps mind.

Verosika, Loona, and Naruto gripped the grab handles for dear life as Blitz drove recklessly through the town, nearing Stolas's mansion.

All the while, Andromeda was a fit of giggles and laughter as her father, mother, and step-mother screamed in terror.

Several minutes of running through stoplights, running over civilians, and outright belligerent behavior, the small group jumped out of the car and ran into the mansion, thanks to Mr. Butler opening it for them.

"Octavia!" Naruto called out, trying to find them.

"Stolas!" Blitz yelled.

"OCTAVIA!"

"STOLAS!"

"You don't need to scream," Mr. Butler said as he approached the group after shutting the door. "Follow me, I shall lead you to Master Stolas and Young Miss Octavia."

The group followed the butler, the baby making surprised and garbled sounds as she had not seen this part of Stolas's home before.

"This is Young Miss Octavia's room…" Mr. Butler said as he knocked on the door. "Young Miss. Your guests have arrived."

The door opened revealing a very distressed Octavia.

"Naruto…" She said, attempting to dry her eyes, but failing. "And… everyone…"

"Where is Stolas!"

"What is going on?"

"Why don't we move to a large room, away from Miss Octavia's belongings." Mr. Butler recommended.

Twenty Minutes of Attempted Explanations Later…

"Alright, let me…" Blitz said calmly. "Try to peace this together…"

Stolas blew his nose into a tissue before he nodded.

Octavia, who was sitting next to Loona and Naruto, held Andromeda tightly before she nodded.

"Your wife is filing for divorce."

"Yes."

"She isn't taking the house or your money."

Nod.

"The only thing she is taking is sole custody of Little Esther?"

Octavia and Stolas shook, eyes watering.

Andromeda could feel the emotions the avians were feeling.

She did not like that.

Octavia smiled at Andromeda's attempt to comfort her by giving the teen owl a hug.

Stolas felt his heart ease at this scene.

"Yes, Blitzy, that is… that is what happened…" Stolas answered, coming back down to Hell soil. "And it is all my fault…"

"Stolas, it isn't all your fault…" Naruto started to say, putting his hand on the owl's arm.

Stolas pulled away from Naruto.

"No, it is all my fault!" He stated, raising his voice. "I couldn't prevent this divorce because I…"

Stolas choked, tears dripping from his face onto the floor.

"Because I…"

He wanted to say something very specific.

His chest hurt when he looked toward Blitz.

His heart felt like it exploded into a supernova that was now transitioning into a black hole.

"Because I fell in l… In Lo…"

He choked again.

Stolas could not force his words out, taking gasps.

He reached out to Octavia, who took his hand.

Stolas calmed enough to breath.

Everyone gave him his time.

"Because I fell in love, with my first friend…" Stolas said, blushing as he looked away from Octavia and Blitz. "That was the start, because now I couldn't keep my daughter from her arranged marriage."

Naruto turned to Octavia.

"You are in an arranged marriage? Since when?" He asked.

"Since Esther's birthday… it's why dad asked you three to leave…" Octavia said as she cuddled Andromeda into her chest… before her eyes widened. "Oh, fuuuuuck, I was supposed to meet my fiancé today! What time is it?"

Verosika checked her phone.

"Eleven twenty-seven." Verosika answered.

"SHIT!" Octavia shouted as she bolted out of her seat. "I NEED TO GET READY!"

Octavia handed Andy over to Loona before she ran to her room, needing to chose what to wear.

"Alright, Naruto, Loona, Verosika, go help Octavia with her fiancé, actually, go with her too." Blitz said as he stood up, much to everyone's confusion.

"Why, Blitz?" Loona asked, quirking an eyebrow.

"Because…" Blitz answered as he 'Rolled up his sleeves. "Daddy's gotta fuck a bitch."

Naruto, Loona, and Verosika's outlines faded once Blitz finished speaking, the sound of a car turning on was heard outside as they, Andromeda, Octavia, and Mr. Butler got in the limousine with several articles of clothing for Octavia to choose from, before the butler drove out of the parking lot.

Leaving Stolas and Blitz alone.

"Alright, let's go." Blitz stated, grabbing Stolas.

"Blitzy, I really don't think…"

"Not giving you a choice, BITCH!" the Imp said, his tail getting in Stolas's face, 'Pointing' at him. "We are going to talk and if it means we NEED to fuck for your lips to loosen," Blitz turned, a fiery gaze in his eyes. "Then I will get you to talk."

Stolas felt ruffled in his feathers.

Sexually and in discomfort.

"But I really don't feel the urge…" Stolas said as he and Blitz entered Stolas and Stella's… Stolas's bedroom.

Blitz pushed Stolas toward the bed, the back of Stolas's legs hitting the frame, his knees buckling as Blitz jumped him.

Now looming over Stolas, Blitz stared into his eyes.

"So, how are you feeling with this situation?" He asked as he ran his hand up and down the owl's chest.

Stolas shuddered under Blitz's touch.

"Blitzy, I mean it, if you wanna talk…"

Stolas bit his lip when Blitz pinched his chest where a nipple would have been.

"Not the answer I want…" Blitz pinched harder, making Stolas collapse on the bed, trying not to fall into lust and passion.

"I feel… angry… sad… like a failure…" He stated, lips quivering as Blitz continued to touch and prod his body sexually. "I feel like my life is spiraling out of control… I feel powerless…"

He started to choke again.

Blitz listened, continuing his mission on helping Stolas.

"And it is all my fault, it has always been my fault!" Stolas stated, pulling a pillow over and covering his face. "I chose to be miserable. I chose to cheat. I chose to let my daughter's down… it is all my fault…"

"Well, this isn't the man I fucked for a grimoire."

"Huh?" Stolas moved the pillow to uncover one of his eyes to stare at Blitz, who stopped his ministrations on him. "What…" *Sniffle* "Do you mean?"

"The Man I FUCKED," He jabbed Stolas in the chest with his finger. "Was a strong-willed man who was kinky as Here. But the man before me currently is such a quivering pussy to the point that my dick is deflating."

Stolas felt a blush on his cheeks, one of embarrassment and shame.

"And then…" Blitz got really close, pushing the pillow off of Stolas's face. "You said you fell in love with your first friend…"

Stolas turned his head to look away, but Blitz forced him to keep looking at him.

A soft gentle kiss was placed on Stolas's lips by Blitz.

"Well, I think…" Blitz said as he started to give more passion into the kiss. "We should start being more serious, once the divorce is done, right?"

For the first time in the immediate time frame, Stolas felt at peace as he nodded into Blitz's kiss, wrapping his arms around the imp.

"I am a horrible person…" Stolas said as the kiss ended. "I failed my children… my wife… and…"

"Bitch, I am also a fucked-up person, Stolas." Blitz interrupted, sitting on Stolas's lap, feeling the avian's boner. "You aren't the only one who is hurt…"

Blitz touched his face.

The white flesh across the right portion of his face.

"Stolas…" Blitz said softly, taking Stolas's hand. "We can work through it, together. As two, fucked up, damaged individuals doing things the other can't…"

He smiled passionately, nearly bringing Stolas to tears.

"Yes, Blitzy, we can." He said, gripping Blitz's hand.

Stolas was then flipped onto his knees, his bathrobe thrown across the room as Blitz's pants hit the ground.

"Yes… now, take me… make me feel loved…" Stolas said in a slightly meek tone.

His eyes widened when he felt Blitz's hand smacked his ass.

"I'll love the fuck out of your ass!" Blitz said as he loomed over Stolas's back before he bit into Stolas's shoulder.

Pleasurable sensations tore through Stolas's body as Blitz prepped him for sex.

Mr. Butler drove the limousine as Octavia and Verosika looked through all the clothing the teen brought with her while Naruto and Loona entertained Andromeda.

"I don't know which one to pick, Verosika." Octavia repeated for the umpteenth time, holding up a white and black dress. "I just… UGH…"

"I know, Via, but let's continue…" Verosika said as her eyes skimmed the remaining clothing they hadn't checked. "Oh, what about this one?"

She picked up a gold and red dress with silver lowlights on the skirt.

"Uh… well, it suits the Phenex clan, they use red and gold mostly." Octavia said as she took the dress.

"I think you'd look cute, Octavia." Loona added, taking a glance at the dress herself.

Octavia looked the dress over once again, trying to make a decision.

"Sorry to interrupt, Ms. Octavia, but we shall arrive at the Phenex Mansion shortly." Mr. Butler called from the front.

Seeing she had little options left, Octavia made her decision.

Moving to the back of the limo, Octavia started to undress… before stopping.

"Cover Naruto's eyes." She stated to Loona and Verosika.

The two nodded.

They shifted over to Naruto, who was holding Andromeda, not really paying attention to the conversation.

"Hm?"

He turned to his beloveds… only for their hands to cover his eyes.

Octavia quickly undressed and changed into the red dress.

She removed her beanie, leaving her crown.

"Alright, now let me give you some make up." Verosika said as she pulled out a small travel make up kit.

"Okay…"

Octavia handed herself over to the succubus and allowed her to do her makeup.

"Now arriving, Phenex Mansion." Mr. Butler announced as he pulled into the parking lot of said mansion.

Mr. Butler grabbed a package before he got out of the driver seat and walked to the door, opening it.

"Here…" he tossed the package to Naruto, who caught it. "You three need to change into these."

"What for?" Naruto asked as he opened the package, seeing three adult sized tuxedos and sunglasses.

"Because, you three…" Mr. Butler said as he took Andromeda from her father. "Are going to ACT like Ms. Octavia's Bodyguards. I promise to entertain and take care of Andromeda's needs while you are protecting Ms. Octavia."

The three parents deadpanned.

"Okay… I guess." Verosika said as Octavia got out. "Let's make this quick."

Naruto and Loona shrugged.

They had dealt with nobles before, and they really did not want to do it.

BUT Octavia is their friend, so…

The three changed quickly into their new clothing, with Naruto taking off his headband.

The three got out of the car as they put on their sunglasses.

"Alright, follow me." Octavia said as she led the group up the stairs toward the doors.

"Be a good girl, Andy." Loona said, kissing her baby girl on the head before she left.

Andromeda didn't whine or cry out as Mr. Butler entered the Limo and pulled out a children's book as her parents and Octavia approached the door.

Once they arrived at the door, a servant opened it before they could knock.

"Ah, Ms. Goetia…" they said, looking past her to see her… body guards.

"I apologize for our lateness, and my parents are not going to be here for this visit." Octavia explained in a polite, noble tone.

"I understand. Will these three accompany you?"

"Yes, they will."

The servant nodded and guided them into the mansion.

It was similar to Stolas's mansion, though the star themes were replaced with more… medical themes as the silver, grays, and whites were mostly gold, red, and ruby.

Octavia felt her nerves starting to shake as her prior anxiety started to resurface.

'What if this ends up like Mom and Dads marriage? What if I fail? What happens if I fuck up? Will dad and mom be angry?' She thought, her lips trembling as she and the others were guided to a small garden area with a table and chairs.

"Master Riser shall be out shortly; he is busy at the moment." The servant said, bowing before dismissing themselves to retrieve their master.

Knowing how certain etiquette worked, Naruto pulled out one of the chairs for Octavia, allowing her to sit when he scooted it under her legs.

Octavia was shielding herself mentally, her arms before her in her lap as she fumbled with her thumbs.

She didn't register the sounds of a door opening with a cart being wheeled out.

"Ms. Goetia," an unfamiliar voice called out. "It is nice to meet you, I am Riser Phenex."

Octavia turned her attention to her fiancé.

Riser was an elegant and handsome avian demon.

His golden plumage shined brilliantly in the sun, with his 'hair' forming bangs around his eyes, which were solid blue with purple pupils. His beak was short like a chicken's.

He was tall, just over nine feet.

He wore a red double breast suit with gold buttons and trimmings.

"Hello, Lord Phenex." Octavia said as she stood up, bowing to her fiancé. "You may address me as Octavia."

Riser smiled.

"Then you can call me Riser." He chuckled. "I am happy to meet you."

He extended his hand, to which Octavia shook, blushing slightly when he kissed the back of her hand.

'He is handsome.' She thought as he held out her chair.

She took her seat once again as the servant from earlier served them some tea and pastries as Naruto, Loona, and Verosika stood tall and in silence.

"Oh, forgive me, would your guards like to sit and partake?" Riser asked, having not noticed the trio.

"We are fine, sir." Naruto said, bowing while talking.

"No need to be that respectful." Riser said with a laugh. "Afterall, why would I have the Stray Dog Overlord bow before me?"

Naruto's eyes snapped open as he felt like his blood froze over.

'Oh, fuck…' Naruto thought as he stood up straight.

"Please, don't worry, I know of you because I watch the news." Riser said as he recognized the worry on Naruto's face. "By all means, that fight against the Wolf Pack was amazing, I would like to hear about it one day."

"Yes… sir. I would not mind explaining what happened." Naruto nervously answered.

"Tea is ready." The Servant said in a chipper tone.

"Thank you, Earl." Riser thanked as he grabbed his cup. "Earl makes a phenomenal herbal blend. It helps with metabolic functions and helps improve muscle relaxation."

Octavia smiled nervously as she took her cup and took a sip.

Warmth washed over her, a sense of calm rushing through her veins.

"Delicious." Octavia said as she turned to her guards. "Naruto, Loona, Verosika, you should try this!"

"Verosika?" Riser inquired, looking toward the succubus, who sweat dropped. "AS IN, VEROSIKA MAYDAY, VEROSIKA!"

"Uh… yeah?" Verosika said as she removed her glasses.

Riser stood up, eyes wide.

"I AM A HUGE FAN!" he shouted, a bright smile on his face. "HOLD ON!"

He turned and ran into the mansion.

"Da fuq?" Everyone asked as Earl chuckled.

Riser returned with several pictures, all of them being of Verosika.

"CAN I GET YOUR AUTOGRAPH, PLEASE!"

"Hold up…"

"Oh… Oh…"

Riser's head burst into flame as his face became red, sitting in his chair, hands over his face.

"I am sorry, Octavia, I got to excited… I am a huge Mayday fan…" He admitted, pushing his hands to the side of his face to douse the fire.

"No, that's okay, it is no problem… just… I thought you were a…"

"A respectable doctor who helps the Sin of Sloth? Yes, I am, but…" Riser glanced at Octavia sheepishly. "A man has outside work hobbies too…"

Octavia leaned forward.

"Like what?" She asked, starting to slyly smile.

"Well… what about you?" riser asked, trying to turn the tables.

"How about we each give an answer, one word if possible." Octavia offered.

"I'm game."

Naruto smiled with a sigh of relief.

'At least they are getting to know each other.' Naruto thought as he took Riser's offer to sit and drink with them, Loona and Verosika following suit, with the Popstar signing all of Riser's items.

"I like taxidermy."

"I like games of all variety, from Video to table top." Riser said as the group sat down, pouring themselves some tea.

"Like Dungeons and Dragons?" Naruto asked as he helped himself to a scone.

Riser smirked.

"I LOVE DND. But…" he pushed his hands together. "I don't have anyone to play with…"

"Well, I guess you will with me." Octavia offered.

"That would be a fun way to spend time together." Riser said, before his face and tone shifted into a serious one. "My parents told me about yours, Stolas and Stella, about their arranged marriage."

Octavia swallowed a lump in her throat.

"Yes…"

"I have been told that it isn't a good one…" Riser said as he looked at his fiancé. "But… I want to try… but… well… there is something about myself that I need to tell you, but I want to become your friend first. Afterall, this marriage won't happen until you are twenty, Octavia, so… can we become friends?"

Octavia was genuinely shocked.

She had been receiving shocks the thirty minutes she had been here.

"Yes, I would like that."

Chapter 77, DONE!

I don't think many people expected Riser to be a dork. Many probably expected a straight up redo of Riser from DXD. It was an idea I had, but a better one came to mind, and so I decided to play with expectations.

I know, this chapter took longer to come out because I didn't want to rush it, and it was difficult coming up with things to follow up the last chapter, due to it being… a bombshell.
