Chapter 81: Fiesta on Silicone Shores

The sun was shining brightly, glistening off of the ocean's waters as waves gently beat against the artificial beach.
Sand crunched under the feet of many who ran towards the waters.
"BEACH!" Naruto, Verosika, Loona, and Jayjay screamed in childish joy as they jumped.
The smell of salt permeated the air.
The crunch of sand under their feet.
The chilling breeze rushing against their exposed skin.
Vortex chuckled as he carried out the barbeque.
'Sure, run off instead of helping me.' He thought with a smirk. 'Ugh, whatever.'
Vortex wore a lime green shirt with Snoopy and Woodstock on it, with the words 'Joe Cool' on it. He wore swimming trunks that were camo print.
As Vortex set up, the others ran through the shallows of the water.
Loona wore a bandeau swimsuit, the top being designed after Naruto's headband, and wore a star and moon covered sarong around her waist, covering the majority of her legs. She had her short hair up in a messy bun.
Verosika wore a two-piece bikini that had ruffles on the top, which resembled a watermelon. Her bikini itself was green stripes with watermelon wedges. Her hair was kept down.
Jayjay wore a standard two-piece bikini. It was lime green with orange music notes on both the top and bottom. Her hair was let down, but instead of her usual feather earrings, she wore music note earrings.
Naruto, meanwhile wore a Gorillaz tank top as he left his headband in his room in favor for swimming goggles. He was wearing bright orange swim trunks that had a fox on the right leg.
The four runners jumped into the water, causing a big splash.
Millie giggled as she and Moxxie walked out, holding Andromeda in her arms.
"Your mom and dad are silly, aren't they sweetie?" Millie asked Andromeda, not expecting an answer from the infant.
Millie and Andromeda wore one-piece swimsuits.

Riser and Octavia exited, being the last two to exit.
Riser wore Olympic style water shirt and trunks, having a pair of goggles around his neck.
Octavia, meanwhile, wore a conservative two-piece with a shoulder shawl to cover her shoulders with blush on her cheeks.
"I don't think the water is for me…" Octavia said, looking out into the deep ocean.
They were currently fifty miles off the Floridan coast.
Even with the knowledge that magic would help keep them from drowning, it didn't give Octavia the ease it should have.
"Well, then do you want me to accompany you with something else?" Riser asked his fiancé.
Octavia shook her head.
"No, go have fun in the water, I'll go help prep." Octavia urged.
"Okay, I… I just…" Riser wanted to form the correct words, Octavia smiled and nodded.

Riser smiled, grabbing his goggles to get in the water, but in the corner of his eye, he caught the look Gaara gave Octavia as she ventured toward him, Moxxie, Millie, Andromeda, and Vortex to get everything ready for lunch.
'Oh, I think this could work.' Riser thought, putting his goggles in place before running toward the water, where Naruto, Loona, Verosika, and Jayjay were splashing water and laughing.
"CANNON BALL!" Riser shouted, a wide smile on his face as he jumped up, entering the fetal position before his ass hit water.
A big splash erupted as he submerged, hitting the other water partakers.
The sea foam splashed helplessly on the sandy beach, drawing the attention of the youngest member on the shore.
Andromeda reached out, her tiny finger pointing toward the ocean, making sounds to her grandparents.
"No, sweetie," Blitz said as he patted her head. "It's too dangerous for you to go out there. When you get bigger, I promise."
Andromeda did NOT like hearing that.

Blitz wanted to say something as the young avian took his granddaughter to the edge of the water, but was stopped when Stolas put a fishing pole in his hand.
"Come on, Blitzy, let's go fishing." Stolas said, taking Blitz's hand and walking to the opposite side of the beach, not wanting to accidently hook the swimmers.
"Ugh, fine, Stolas." Blitz groaned with an eyeroll.
Andromeda was ecstatic being in the shallowest part of the water, splashing her hands and feet in it, laughing.
"Hey, Andy, look, sand castle." Octavia said as she started to build a small 'Castle'.
Andromeda got stars in her eyes as she took the shovel and started digging for… materials.
"Can I join you two?"
Octavia looked up, seeing Gaara.
"Sure." She said, returning her gaze onto the baby, not wanting to let her out of her sight for to long.
Gaara felt the knot in his throat lessen as he sat down and started digging in the sand with Andromeda and Octavia.
Naruto, Jayjay, Loona, Verosika, and Riser crawled out of the water, laying on the beach, smiling and gasping for air as they faced the sky.
"Oh, Lucifer," Jayjay exclaimed in exhaustion as she smiled. "The water is so nice and cold. And the sky…" She looked up, its blue hue reflecting in her eyes. "It makes me want to sing."
