USJ, UA High
Musutafu, Japan
"…Well, that's just Prime…"
Izuku watches as more people start to walk out of the portal. He can sense the class's confusion and distress as the teachers push Izuku and the students back. Aizawa puts on his goggles as his scarf starts to float around menacingly.
"Stay back, Midoriya," Aizawa states as the villains grow increasingly in quantity. "These are not a drill, it's a real villain attack."
"Yeah, I kinda figured out from your and Thirteen's reactions," Izuku says dryly before taking a few steps back.
"Why is the alarm not working? Is it due to technical difficulties?" Yaomomo asks in concern.
"There's possibly a villain with a quirk that messes with the alarm system," Aizawa says as he clenches his fist around his scarf before looking at the back. "Kaminari, try to contact the school."
"I can't, there's no signal," Kaminari states as Aizawa grits his teeth in annoyance.
"Thirteen, get the kids to safely!" Aizawa exclaims.
"Is it a good idea to fight them all alone!? I mean, you're not exactly meant for head-on battle, you're more of an erase and quick binding-!" Izuku asks as Aizawa grunts, cutting him off.
"No good hero is a one-trick pony!" Aizawa states before he jumps off, making Izuku grow even more concerned and blame himself for forgetting one such important event. As Aizawa lands, he immediately activates his quirk as the villain's quirk instantly nullifies before Aizawa beats them up with quick precision using his scarf and his martial arts.
The villains try to charge at him as they have a heteromorph quirk, which is supposed to be immune to Aizawa's quirk. But, it seems that they didn't consider that they're simply sucks as Aizawa easily knock them down without his quirk. Izuku had to admit, Aizawa currently doesn't look like an asshole who refuses to teach his student properly and is more like a proper hero fighting for people's safety.
"Come on, kids," Thirteen calls Izuku as they all walk away into the door. However, they are stopped by a giant mass of black mist blocking their path and preventing them from reaching the exit.
"Greetings, students. My name is Kurogiri and we are the League of Villains." The fog reveals to be a human, or something akin to one (Kurogiri). "Apologies for our audacity, but we are here in U.A High to end the life of Japan's Symbol of Peace,"
The moment those words left the figure's mouth, Izuku felt a shiver down his spine. He never would've thought to feel such chills when he heard those words as League of Villains weren't taken seriously during the early arcs. Right now, he experiences it himself and he can't help but feel slightly terrified.
"Die!" Izuku snaps out of his thought before noticing Bakugou already launched himself toward the figure. Hastily, Izuku saw Eijirou was about to do the same and stopped him by grabbing his arms, causing him to startle.
"Don't-!" Izuku's words were cut off as Bakugou exploded on the figure. They all look and see the smoke covering Kurogiri. If people look closely, his fog-like body is dispersed.
"Hah! Eat shit, villain! Do you think you can end All Might? Get fucking real!" Bakugou boasts.
"That was quite close….perhaps, I might've underestimated you students. You are all still students of the best Hero school, after all." Kurogiri states, his body has regained its shape.
"Bakugou's attacks did nothing!?" Eijirou asks in shock.
"His body seems like it was made of fog," Izuku states.
"No, get back!" Thirteen commands Bakugou. But, in an instant, black fogs start to cover the entire area as they all start to panic. Izuku yelps when he feels gravity starts to pull him downward. He looks down and sees a massive body of water. Looking around, he activates Observation as he sees Tsuyu fall with him like in canon, but to his shock, Eijirou falls with him as well.
He chooses not to think about it too much as he senses multiple hostile people under them before grabbing Eijirou into a one-armed hug and shooting a grappling hook toward the boat. His body gets launched as he grabs Tsuyu along as the three of them land on the boat. Izuku uses his body as a cushion for the two of them, making him groan in pain.
"In hindsight, I should've let the water cushion the fall…" Izuku groans before the others start to get up and help Izuku.
"T-thanks, bro," Eijirou says as Izuku lets out a sigh, stretching his back as he grunts.
"Yeah, thanks," Tsuyu says blankly before she looks at the water. "And perhaps you made the right call, the water is swarmed by villains."
"The attack is coordinated," Izuku says with narrowed eyes. "They won't be dumb enough to attack us without any some sort of plan, especially when they boldly claim they will end All Might's life. That explains a group of villains around us like they're expecting us to be split up by that figure."
"Kero, it seems that they also took advantage of the facility," Tsuyu says as she points at one of the villains with a shark mutant quirk.
"If that's true, then why did they teleport you here?" Izuku says, making Tsuyu and Eijirou tilt their head in confusion. "Tsuyu, your quirk is Frog and you are the best in a water environment. If they plan to take us down, then why did they bring you here? Unless,"
"They have no idea what our quirk is!" Eijirou exclaims as Izuku blinks before nodding.
"Yeah…" Izuku says before he looks around, wondering what could he use to get the three of them out of the situation. Izuku decided to look around the ship and saw something that none of the students would've expected. A toaster of all things. Izuku decides to turn it on and grins when he finds out that it works before unplugging it and walking toward the side of the boat.
"… He's not going to do what I think he's going to do, is he?" Eijirou asks nervously and immediately, they hear a loud scream as the villains were electrocuted the moment the toaster made contact with the water.
"….I'll stop teasing him and you guys from now on, kero…" Tsuyu whimpers in fear, making Eijirou sweat nervously.
Meanwhile, With Toshinori
"Damn it, I overdid it again."
Toshinori can be seen rubbing the blood off his mouth as he stands in front of the infirmary door, his body feels slightly strained than usual. As he wipes off the blood, the door is open and he is greeted by Himiko.
"Um, who are you?" Himiko asks, blinking in confusion as she stares at Toshinori.
"I-I'm Toshinori Yagi, A-All Might's secretary. I am looking for Recovery Girl." Toshinori says as Himiko dubiously nods before turning around.
"Granny, this creepy old man is standing in front of the door," Toshinori coughs out blood in utter disbelief as Recovery Girl walks out of the infirmary while holding a sleeping Eri. What surprises Toshinori is that Recovery Girl seems to grow younger, like a decade younger and she even regains several inches of her height, but it is clear that she is exhausted.
"Umm, Chiyo-san?" Toshinori asks nervously as the old lady looks at him in a deadpan manner.
"You finally decided to come, eh?" RG asks.
"… You look younger," Toshinori says as RG sighs tiredly.
"The child's quirk was out of control. I had to remain with her for quite a while until she exhausted her quirk. It rewinds a decade of my life in a flash." RG mutters the last part. "It does explain why she was at the hands of a villain."
"Poor child…" Toshinori says, pitying the poor girl.
"Anyways," RG says as she passes the little girl to Himiko, who brings her back into the infirmary. She then smacks Toshinori on his head. "What the hell are you thinking!? Going around to save others while you have lessons to teach!? Other heroes exist, you should be focusing on your job and let them do their job as well! Now, look at you, you barely hanging there to join the class!"
"I-I'm sorry!" Toshinori yelps as RG smacks him with no mercy. "I-I can't help it! T- they need help!"
"If this keeps up, the heroes will be unprepared to pick up your slacks when you truly retire and Japan will be plunged into chaos!" RG snarls, making Toshinori flinch. "And please, take good care of your health! You still need to guide your successor!"
"I…..don't think my successor even needs me in the first place…" Toshinori mutters, making RG blink, not expecting him to say those words.
"What makes you say that?" RG asks, finally stopping her aggression.
"He…has improved a lot, and it's no thanks to me…" Toshinori states. "Torino did the majority of his training and he improved significantly, but I wasn't the one who helped him. I….feel like such a failure of a mentor…"
"…you may not be the best at teaching, but perhaps you are perfect being his emotional support," RG says as Toshinori blinks. "I don't know if you notice, but the boy seemingly requires emotional support, more than any students I ever encounter. Perhaps, focus on helping him with that. I have suggested him to meet Hound Dog, but he has yet to meet him. Perhaps, you might successfully convince him or maybe help him. You are much better at comforting someone than teaching."
Toshinori is completely deep in thought. Recovery Girl was right in some ways. He may not be able to help Izuku as he wishes, but perhaps helping him in another way will be a good idea, especially with the secrets he told him and his mother.
"Anyways, let's perform some medical checkup on you, we need to know how long you could use your quirk," RG states as Toshinori nods before they both walk to the infirmary.
With the others
"Where is everyone!? Can anyone confirm their location!?" Iida shouts as he frantically looks around. Currently, the ones who remain with Kurogiri are Iida, Shoji, Thirteen, Hanzo, Sero, Ochako, Mina,
"They're all scattered by the man, but they remain in the building," Shoji says, using his quirk to confirm it.
"Any physical attacks on the guy did nothing. He just casually warps them away." Sero says as he wipes the sweat off his head.
"Iida-san," Thirteen says as he looks at Iida. "I want you to run back to UA and report everything that's happening in here."
"W-what!?" Iida exclaims in shock. "I-I can't leave you guys here!"
"We don't have a choice." Thirteen states grimly. "The alarm didn't go off despite the obvious break-in. Our phones didn't work. And despite Aizawa-senpai knocking more and more villains down there, it is still inactive. That means whoever intervenes with the system is hidden amongst them. Going out there and looking for them will take a very long time and it might be too late, so we have no other choice but to ask you to go back. It is the only best choice available."
"B-but-!" Iida was shoved slightly by Hanzo.
"She said go," Hanzo states. "There are other alarms in other facilities, but given they didn't go off, that means the villain causes trouble only in this facility and UA Staff are unaware of the attack!"
"This means, that once you step outside the building, they're unable to chase you without risking triggering the other alarms!" Sero says with a grin.
"Please, go save them all," Thirteen says as Iida nervously gulps before Ochako places her hand on his shoulder.
"We'll help to provide you with all the support you need, giving you an opening. Now, get ready," Ochako says with a determined expression as Mina nods in agreement. Iida looks at his friend before nodding in determination.
"Fools, what's the point of discussing strategy when the enemy could hear it loud and clear? You all are truly hopeless." Kurogiri mocks them.
"It doesn't matter if you could hear us. You won't get to us!" Thirteen exclaims before pointing her fingers at Kurogiri, the cap at her fingertip opens as it starts to suck in the fog from Kurogiri.
Meanwhile, with Todoroki
"Isn't this quite embarrassing?" Todoroki muses as he walks into the frozen zone, villains trapped under the ice and completely immobilized. "Losing to a student?"
"W-who is this kid!?"
"Damn it, he's so strong!"
"Fuck, I don't want to go to jail!"
"Going to jail is the least of your worries," Todoroki says coldly at one of the villains. "Now, unless you want to get frostbite and hypothermia, you better start talking. What exactly is your plan?'
Near Todoroki, Harumi can be seen sitting on a group of unconscious villains while watching dreamily at her 'crush'. She was quite happy to see that she got separated into the same zone as Todoroki, musing how pushing Hagakure away to join with Todoroki was a great idea. Now, she has a chance to get 'closer' to her 'crush'.
With Bakugou
"HAHA! This is the best day of my life!"
Tooru backs off as she witnesses Bakugou giving a one-sided massacre towards the villains. If it wasn't for the villains attacking USJ, she would have pitied them due to the excessive force Bakugou did on each of them. She then thought about the bitch that pushes her away, Harumi.
The entire class was in chaos and was split up by a villain, yet she choose to push her away and let herself sucked into the portal. She would think she is just helping if not for the utter glee displayed on her face. What was she thinking? Does she think at all?
She let out a sigh, ignoring the explosions in the background, and knocked down one villain trying to sneak up on her without even looking. She hopes that the others are in a far better position than her. She looks at the villain she knocks out before she blanches and slams the villain to the ground harshly.
Why does she have to face a villain with a Chameleon quirk?
With Yaomomo
"Wah!" Kaminari ducks away from an incoming attack before retreating with Yaomomo and Jirou, looking at a group of villains surrounding them. "I think my life just flashed before my eyes! Who the hell are these guys and why are they here!?"
"Judging from what happened earlier, it's safe to say they're villains working with that mist guy," Yaomomo exclaims as she points her bo-staff at the villains, taking a few steps back.
"Let's just worry about how to get away from them," Jirou says before looking at Kaminari. "Can't you just shock them with your quirk?"
"Unless you want to get shocked as well, then I can't," Kaminari grimaces. "Once I unleash my electricity, I will shock everyone indiscriminately. And other than that, I can only cover my body parts with it. Not to mention, I've been trying to call for help but it was jammed. You guys can't rely on me since I'm relying on you!"
"Here," Yaomomo ignores his rant as she gives him a metal pole, making Kaminari blink. "Remember what Dekiru-san suggests when you ask about how to improve your quirk?"
Kaminari blinks owlishly as the gears on his head start to turn before he perks up and grins wildly. Electricity starts to cover around his hand and into the metal pole. The villain starts to lose their confidence slightly as they watch the scene.
Back with Izuku
"Perhaps, next time, don't drop a toaster onto the water, kero. We did more work than usual."
Izuku could only rub his head sheepishly as he carried multiple villains tied up using the ropes he decided to bring with him. He even gives some spare ropes he used for grappling hooks to Tsuyu and Eijirou to help him tie the villains up.
"In my defense, I have no other choice," Izuku says. "Tsuyu, you may be good in water, but so many people will get you in trouble. Which is the main plan of the villains, using quantity against us. Eijirou, I don't know how good your combat is in water, so I don't want to risk it. And I would rather not get the boat, the only place we're temporarily safe, gets destroyed by them. So, I have to make haste."
"Eh, fair enough," Eijirou shrugs as they reach the shore, placing down the bounded villains near the tree. They heard a fight and decided to take a peek. Turns out, they're near where Aizawa is fighting a group of villains. They can't help but be in awe at how Aizawa easily beats them, but Izuku is too distracted by the other stuff. Shigaraki and the High-End Nomus, stand at the side as they observe Aizawa.
As Aizawa continues to fight, he gets frustrated as the villains that he fights seem to be determined to kill him. Sure, they're villains, but from how much of a bloodlust they emit, it seems like it was personal. He has been trying to recall what villains could show such amount of grudge towards him, but it always comes up blank.
"Shota Aizawa," Aizawa looks at one of the villains, a young woman with blue hair moving like octopus tentacles. "Just the man I've despised the most."
"Do I know you?" Aizawa asks coldly as the woman widens her eyes before chuckling humorlessly.
"Of course, what do I expect," The woman says, making Aizawa confused. "Then again, you didn't seem to give a single fuck to the students you expelled, do you?"
"wha-!?" Before Aizawa could react, he got slammed by something heavy, knocking him away. He turns to see a bulky young man standing next to the woman, glaring hatefully towards Aizawa.
"Eraserhead, you'll fucking pay for what you did!" The man roars before charging at him. Aizawa immediately turns off the man's quirk before slamming his fist onto the man's face, knocking him down. Then, the girl sends her hair to strike him, but he grabs it and pulls her closer, kneeing her gut.
Without warning, he felt someone touch his wrist and he felt immense pain as he felt his skin disintegrating, turning around to see a blue-haired man (Shigaraki) before kicking him away.
"Hehe….I'm going to be honest, you are quite cool, Eraserhead," Shigaraki says, but to Aizawa, it sounds like mocking. "Your quirk, your skill, and your ruthlessness, you would be a perfect ally,"
"I would rather die than join you," Aizawa says with a scowl.
"Heh," Shigaraki says in amusement. "Quite a word, for someone who creates quite a lot of them,"
"W-what?" Aizawa was confused at his words.
"Oh, did you think expelling students from their dream school wouldn't affect them at all? I mean, come on, Eraserhead, giving an entire class a black mark, you simply doom them all." Shigaraki says. "I mean, some of them take a swan dive off the roof and some choose to go to villainy because you doomed their future. I mean, I don't blame them for rage quitting after getting banned from any school or job."
"You lied!" Aizawa snarls.
"… Wow, you are clueless, and that's rich coming from me, you know," Shigaraki says, quite surprised. "Bah, it doesn't matter. Besides, now I got to do a beta test, with a mini-boss."
Aizawa immediately felt shivers down his spine as he turned around only for someone to grab his head and start applying pressure on it. Aizawa's yell was muffled, but Izuku and his friends could hear it loud and clear.
Izuku can't help but be horrified by the entire event. He wonders how things go like this. First, the High-End Nomus with Shigaraki, then the students that Aizawa expelled got involved in the USJ attack and have a personal vendetta against Aizawa!? The timeline is a complete and utter mess.
"Tomura Shigaraki," Kurogiri suddenly appears beside Shigaraki.
"Kurogiri," Shigaraki grunts. "Is Thirteen dead yet?"
"He is incapacitated, but there are students I was unable to warp away and one of them manages to escape," Kurogiri reports as Shigaraki starts to scratch his chin and throws a tantrum.
'Iida's on the way to UA! That means he's getting help!' Izuku thought before he got nervous. 'But speaking of help, did All Might get distracted by crimes and talk with Nedzu that he didn't read my message?! And what's taking Hackmon so long? After sending that message, I give him a silent command to go tell All Might. Well, fuck…'
'You're getting too careless, Ninth…' Bruce states.
'Not now, please…' Izuku winces as Shigaraki stops throwing a tantrum before he suddenly turns towards their side. Izuku's eyes widen as Shigaraki prepares to rush towards them.
"Let's leave a few kids dead," Shigaraki says in a nonchalant tone that Izuku's blood boils at simply hearing them. Activating One For All at 10%, he immediately pushes Tsuyu away from his hand before delivering a bullet punch right on Shigaraki's face, shattering the hand on his face and knocking him away as he bounces on the ground and slams into the bulky young man, knocking them away from Aizawa. Everyone was in complete shock at what they just witnessed, including Izuku's friends.
"Nomus! Kill him!" In an instant, the bulky monster charges at Izuku. Izuku activates Armament before clashing with him, both are in complete stalemate.
"You….Strong…" Izuku chooses to ignore the monster talk and looks at his friends.
"Tsuyu! Eijirou! Get Eraserhead away from here!" Izuku shouts as he grits his teeth when the High-End Nomu pushes him back. Without hesitation, Tsuyu and Eijirou rush off. The female villain shoots her hair toward the kids, but Eijirou uses his quirk to endure it before Tsuyu delivers a flying kick at her face, knocking her away. Eijirou immediately picks Aizawa up gently before rushing off, while making sure he's not injured.
Suddenly, Eijirou got knocked away as Aizawa was sent flying but was caught by Tsuyu. Eijirou gets up before using his quirk on instinct to tank an incoming attack, but he ends up sent flying by one of the monsters with wings, its legs have some sort of thruster implanted on it as it points its gun on its wrist towards Eijirou.
Izuku, seeing this, charges up as he amps up to 20%, ignoring his muscle tearing before knocking the gigantic Nomu's hands away, and using Haki, he delivers a powerful kick to send him flying, shocking Shigaraki. Then, he shoots a pair of grappling hooks and ties the neck of the winged Nomu before he pulls it towards him, and slams him down with all his might. His eyes glow red and he kicks towards his back before jumping away as a cloaked Nomu appears while holding a dagger made of his bone, clutching his shattered bone armor underneath the cloak.
Izuku grits his teeth as the gigantic Nomu gets up and joins with his fellow Nomus, his bruises heal instantly. The winged Nomu gets up before cracking its neck, snarling at Izuku. While the cloaked Nomu has its bone armor regenerate.
'They're….weaker than I thought. Is it possible that they're prototypes? If that's true, then their knowledge of the bioengineering monster isn't fully perfect, and given Shigaraki's attitude, it was given that he would demand them for a 'beta test' while All For One amusingly let him do it. Probably with a reason like 'a lesson to how to handle their cards correctly' or something. Okay, so let's list down their strengths. The bulky one has super strength, regeneration, and durability, possibly shock absorption given how I sent him flying using Haki, and Shigaraki was shocked by it. T-Rex? That does explain the claws, tails, and fangs. As for the winged one, regeneration, guns as part of their body, and jet thruster. For the cloaked one, invisible and bone manipulations. There could be more.' Izuku activates Observation, and frantically, moves away from hands coming out of the portal before rushing off.
The winged Nomu snarls at Izuku before giving chase at him. Using Observation, he keeps track of the speeding Nomu as it starts to try and shoot him. Izuku uses everything he learns from Gran to its fullest, and continues to dodge the bullets before delivering a jab, an uppercut, and a kick on the gut. Then, the bulky one tries to smash him to pieces, but Izuku doesn't let that happen as he jumps up before using Haki, delivering a kick on his head. To his surprise, the creature recovers and delivers a fire breath at him. Izuku immediately counters it with a haki-enhanced 20% punch, creating an air cannon to neutralize the attack and get him to move away from the bulky one.
Using Observation, he dodges an incoming fatal strike from the cloak Nomu before sweeping his legs and delivering a powerful elbow strike on its chest, cracking its bone armor once again before Izuku moves away from a hand that emerges from a portal, but he accidentally moves towards the bulky Nomu that sent him flying and crashing to the fountain.
Izuku coughs out blood as he feels he gets lightheaded, his ribs cracked, and his back hurts a lot. The water from the fountain mixes with his blood and obscures his vision, unable to focus his eyes on the incoming Nomu or even sense it.
"IZU-KUN!!!/MIDORI-BRO!!!/IZUKU-CHAN!!!"
It was the last thing he heard before he got knocked down.
To be continued
