SweAme: Suffer in Silence

Berwald awoke some time during the night, trying to figure out what exactly woke him. Once he felt Alfred kicking his leg, he understood.

His eyes widened when Alfred suddenly pulled the covers off of him, and he turned to see that Alfred was cuddling with the duvet. Berwald regarded the situation and knew that it would be impossible to get the duvet back from Alfred.

The Swede contemplated waking the American, but Alfred had such a tranquil smile on his face as he muttered in his sleep. And Berwald knew that Alfred was genuinely asleep.

Berwald sighed, lying back and trying to get back to sleep, but it was too cold. So he decided to roll over and spoon Alfred. He smiled when Alfred snuggled closer to him, only to wince when the other elbowed him in the chest.

Clearly, it was one of those nights.

The prompt is: 'Person A is a very "active" sleeper, and their current sleeping position is hindering Person B's sleep (flailing limbs, stealing covers, etc). Person B, however, does not want to wake Person A, so they do not disturb them and suffer silently (more or less).'

"Active" sleeper… That sums up my sister and I. To give an idea, I was banned from sleeping with duvets (I have to use comforters). The reason why… Go google 'koeksister'. That is what the duvets looked like inside the covers. And my sister once sprained her ankle while sleeping, without falling out of the bed. She often jokes that she feels sorry for her future husband, and my mother refuses to share a bed with either of us. There was actually one time when we were sharing a room while on holiday when we decided to see how long my sister can stay in one position: 58 seconds. This was after a few minutes of tossing and turning from her and eventually her getting frustrated, turning to me to ask how do I do it (I can at least stay in one position for a few minutes).
