Hello again, I wanted to tell you who are reading this that this is possibly the last story that I'm going to make, at least for a good time. There's not much to do regarding to that, just to finish to upload this work. It was fun making stories mainly about Oshawott and Snivy until this point. I hope you understand this and enjoy this story.

CHAPTER 1: The beginning of the journey

Love can come from on any moment of a person's life. It may that one come across with its love in an unexpected way by chances of fate, or one is looking for its mate to give love to another being. Being in love may be unpredictable or even randomly, but it's because that why it's considered as something special.

Being in love takes you to a state further from simple happiness, it's wanting to be with another one that likes it for a long time, or even for all life. Love may leave you gawked, bewildered, and leaves you in a separate world from reality, so in this state it's frequently having accidents from time to time. Some want to be in that state of ectasis and happiness caused by love, it's common to see that the beings do all kinds of acts just to be in that state, since doing dances, sing, flirt, even fight with another to get its mate.

Not always love is happiness, sometimes love hurts and leaves a serious injury in the heart that will last a lot of time to heal completely. One finds it difficult to recover itself after a rejection or saying goodbye forever. It leaves you very sad and depressed to continue with its life, but sometimes life gives it a second chance so that it can feel love again and be happy.

Love shouldn't be taken lightly, being in love of someone means to take care and love to that other for a long time, and should be faithful so that love between them to make it durable. There're some times that the two have to take charge of difficult task, responsibilities and challenges that will test that love bond. The most important thing is to keep that bond standing so the relationship continues.

Not all of the romances that someone has with another are good or healthy, there're some times that exist a toxic and harmful relationship, where one takes advantages of another for its own benefit, leaving the mate damaged that continues in love blindly. There're also relationships where love doesn't exist per se, it's just making another feel good in a superficial way or all the romance that one has was a lie. So care and awareness must always be taken of a love that one has with another.

Love may be very difficult to understand for some ones, it may have many consequences, both positives and negatives, that can affect the involved of that love for all life.

Ash Ketchum was a young trainer from Pallet Town of the Kanto region. The boy dreamed to be a Pokémon Master and be the best of all. Together with his first Pokémon, Pikachu, his best friend and Pokémon partner, they started their journey to fulfill that dream. Ash, along with several companions that wanted to travel with him, went to several places and try to win as much as possible. In the beginning, he had traveled through the whole Kanto region to get gym badges and try the League of that region. Afterwards, he went traveling to other places of the Pokémon world. Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, Unova, and other regions with new adventures and challenges ahead.

The path to be a Pokémon Master wasn't an easy task, so he had to make a lot of effort if he wanted to achieve that dream. To get it, he had to catch several Pokémon and train them to make them stronger to win battles. Ash had caught a lot of Pokémon that quickly became his friends. One different from the other.

One of the Pokémon that the young trainer had caught was Ash's Oshawott, which came from the Professor Juniper's laboratory. Instead of Ash choosing him to start his journey in the Unova region, the water-type chose him after he escaped from the building, all because the young man with hat said something nice to the Pokémon.

After Ash, accompanied with a girl called Iris, noticed that the otter that was following him was the same Oshawott that he met in the laboratory, they should have informed to the Professor that the water-type starter had escaped from the place. They arrived to a small store in middle of the road and were able to contact with her. They told her about the situation; nevertheless, instead of Juniper told them that they had to return the Pokémon to the laboratory, she said that Ash could stay with him, because the water-type felt quite fond with the young man with hat.

To make the change legal, giving the Poké Ball to the new owner had to be done. Fortunately, next to the machine that the videocall was made, it could transfer Poké Balls. Once the transference was made, Ash was the owner of Oshawott. And this the adventure for the young otter started.

Another Pokémon that Ash had caught in his adventure through Unova was Snivy. It was after the trainer had won his first gym badge in Straiton City against the three gym leaders of that city, where Oshawott was the key Pokémon for the victory of the young man with hat. The grass-type gym leader, Cilan, got interested by the way of battling of Ash and his Pokémon, so he said that he would accompany him and Iris on his journey, and said that he would help in everything. And that was how Ash, Iris and Cilan went together to the adventure in the Unova region.

What the gym leader could do very good was cooking. In middle of the traveling, everyone decided to eat for a moment. Cilan cooked buns, but in one moment someone stole the food when they weren't watching. It was a Snivy, that had stolen the buns and she was eating them in middle of the grass to not being seen. The trainers saw her and Ash tried to catch her. He threw a Poké Ball and hit her, but the grass snake got freed.

He sent his Pikachu to attack Snivy, but she dodged his attacks. Before the electric mouse made another offensive, the grass-type used Attract on him, leaving him in love condition. It was there when she used Vine Whip to attack him, but Ash got upfront to protect his Pokémon. The grass snake escaped later.

Despite Snivy had escaped, Ash still wanted to catch her, so he followed her until, after several failed attempts, he was able to catch her and made her part of his team. By far, it was the most effort he had to do to catch a Pokémon, at least she would have a new home traveling along with her other companions.

Both, along with several Pokémon that Ash and his friends were catching in the Unova region, were traveling through the region and became stronger with the battles. For Oshawott and Snivy, it was an adventure that they would never forget, but there was something that treasure a lot and was developing in the journey through the region. Something that they would never expect to come.

Days after that Ash caught Snivy, everyone, including the Pokémon, were waiting the lunch that Cilan was cooking. Meanwhile, the Pokémon were free to play and rest as they waited the food. In that free time, Oshawott was rather intrigued by something, he was seeing Snivy resting and sunbathing on a rock at certain distance from the others. The otter could remember how was his first encounter with the grass snake.

In one of the attempts of his trainer for wanting to caught her, Snivy went to the top of a cliff to escape. Ash, very determined for wanting that she belonged on his team, followed her. Before going after her, Ash's Oshawott went out of his Poké Ball to help his trainer to get her caught. The human accepted the idea and they went after her climbing the little mountain. In middle of the ascent, a rock slide occurred, but they were able to escape unharmed. When they reached the top, Oshawott made his best effort to beat Snivy, however, the grass-type Pokémon used Attract on him and beat him, and she escaped again. Afterwards, the grass-type was caught and joined the team.

After the capture, the other Ash's Pokémon and his friends were knowing her little by little, or rather, tried. One characteristic that Oshawott noticed was that Snivy usually wanted to be alone. A very few times she was seen with other Pokémon. For the Sea Otter Pokémon, he was a little worried by seeing her far from others. He thought that she wasn't very sociable like the others. Something made him remember a conversation that Ash and company had.

In one moment, when Ash tried to catch Snivy, Cilan mentioned that Snivy were very intelligent Pokémon, he said that, if they didn't consider their trainer as worthy, they could abandon it. It was presumable that the Snivy that Ash wanted was a Pokémon that abandoned her previous trainer, and she was wandering as a wild Pokémon until Ash caught her. For Oshawott, it was good that the young trainer had caught the grass-type, at least she would have a home traveling with her companions, they would take care of her not like her previous trainer. The water-type thought that the snake had passed by very hard moments for her, that was why she wasn't very expressive and unsociable with other. It seemed that she needed fondness and company so that she felt good. That was what she needed, Oshawott thought.

The otter went walking to where the grass snake was, he wanted to ask her if it was possible that he could accompany her for a while before the lunch was served, the ideal was that Snivy accepted it, it would be very difficult, since she was rather asocial to someone accompanied her, she would probably reject the propose of her teammate; however, he had to be brave so someone could be next to her and make her feel better. Oshawott went towards the grass-type, trying to build up his courage, he was afraid of what he was going to get rejected, he had had several experiences with rejections when he lived in the Professor Juniper's laboratory. Fortunately, that ended and now he lived happy traveling with Ash.

When Oshawott was close enough from Snivy, he greeted her in a very courtesy way.

"Umm… go-good day, Snivy."

The grass snake woke up and noticed that her partner Oshawott was close to her. It seemed that he wanted something. She yawned and greeted him as well.

"Good day, Oshawott. What do you want from me now?"

"Well… I… I…"

Oshawott was very nervous to talk. He didn't want to be rejected for someone like the previous times. He continued talking as he could.

"I… uh… I-I like to… ask you something… if you don't feel bothered…

"What would it be then?"

"Umm… Do-o-es exist a possibility that I… I… I…?"

"Yes?"

"That I… can accompany you just for a little bit while maybe, yes?" as his voice got sharpened at the end.

Snivy was silent for what Oshawott wanted, did he want to accompany her for a while before they went to eat? She was thinking for some seconds, that were an eternity for the Sea Otter Pokémon, who was sweating a lot by the nerves. Will she say yes or say no? The ideal was that she accepted his propose so she didn't be alone for a long time, she needed someone that accompany her so she could feel at easy after joining the team. The long wait and the eternal seconds were killing him in the inside. There was a big possibility that Snivy said no to his propose, but he had to have faith on she accepting it. After a wait that seemed to be unending, Snivy took a decision. She said:

"Well, if you want, you can be next to me for a while before eating."

"Do-do-do-do you speak truly?" Oshawott asked very surprised.

"Yes, but don't bother me while I'm resting, okay?"

"Yeah, don't worry, I won't bother you for that while."

"Very well."

Oshawott Immediately sat next to the rock where Snivy was resting and sunbathing. She continued with hers as Oshawott watched her as she rested. He knew that it was rather difficult to engage a conversation with his teammate because how she was, but the fact that she accepted that he could be next to her without bothering her was an achievement. The otter wanted that he and the snake talked between them to know of their lives, but he thought he had to do it little by little so the grass-type gained confidence on him.

While they waited the food, the Sea Otter Pokémon was watching Snivy resting from time to time. He was happy, what he did was a small step for her to trust on the others, including him. Maybe in the next days would have more progress for his teammate to be happy as everyone was traveling through the Unova region. The journey was just getting started, so they would have more chances for Snivy to see Oshawott as a friend to trust, more than a simple teammate or traveling companion that were obligated to work together for his trainer to win battles. The water-type would wait that moment to come.
