In the beginning hagoromo and his brother hamura Ōtsutsuki were born from the mother of chakra. In this time line kaguya was the wife to the god of all chakra. She tricked him and banished him to the sealed dimension and slowly devoured every chakra fruit she could find. But she was slowly going insane but cant tell that she is. She wasn't satisfied with just earing fruits so she went to the human world and tricked a human into thinking hes the one who got her pregnant.
She used her husband as a puppet to caused an all out war in the human world to lower the population so she can grow the god tree again. While the war was about over she fleed and gave birth to her two children.
Later they grew up with their mother teaching them anyrhing she can not involving anything dangerous but she can feel them geting powerful by the day. Hagoromo and hamura while starting to sense life force they soon relized the population was going down drastically and hagoromo went to check it out only to find the god tree he went to try and see what it was doing so he took his sword and cut off a branch to run tests on it. Later him and hamura were both holding on to the branch and suddenly both got thousands of tiny needle cuts on their hand they went to grab at it but suddenly they get hit with enormous power and pass out they both wake up and look at each other and both say we have to stop mom.
