In case anyone wants to know I will work on this when I have the time so things might be a bit short.

The fall of Ansel went as planned, the Arc family died as planned but this one soul surviving was in no way part of her plan. Salem continued her trek back to her castle on the back of a ursa major so as not to upset the small baby in her arm's. She would look up every now and then to make sure they were on the right track but would spend most of her time playing with the tiny baby.

Salem wiggled her index finger in front of jaune to catch his attention and smiled when his tiny hands reached out and caught her. The small baby giggled when she tickled his stomach or made a funny face. Hearing that laughter only made her want to hear more so she continued to entertain him for the long ride home.

At some point jaune began to get fussy and she figured it was one of two things either he used the bathroom or was hungry. To her relief it was the second option but the problem was she didn't have anything to feed him with. They had made considerable headway on their journey home but even then they were still many hours away and she wasn't sure the baby would make it that long.

Salem looked to one of the many beowolfs at her side "you" she called and four beowolfs turned to her. "Scattered and find me a nearby village" she commanded and the four beowolfs rushed of in different directions. The ursa came to a halt so they could wait in the same spot for the beowolfs to return.

The wait wasn't long before a single beowolf came running back from the west. Salem watched the Grimm spin on the spot and pointed it's head towards the direction it came from. She snapped her fingers and pointed in the direction of the nearby village "kill the villagers but leave the buildings intact".

The order was given and the creatures of Grimm began to snarl before rushing off into the distance. Salem let the baby chew and suck on her finger since she didn't have a pacifier to keep it occupied while they waited for the Grimm to do their job. After a good fifteen minutes had passed Salem commanded the ursa to head in the direction of the village.

They passed by several trees and bushes before they reached a clearing where a wooden gate was toppled over. With the gate open many of the Grimm rushed inside and killed many of the villagers that were there. The few that escaped didn't really matter to her so she took her time going into the abandoned market to find a suitable amount of food to feed the baby.

Much of the food there was for grownups but there was a small section in a convenient store that provided formula in both dairy and non dairy just in case the babies were lactose intolerant. Salem used her magic to make the baby hover in the air so she could make a bottle. She poured a few scoops of formula into the bottle and added some water before warming it up to room temperature.

The small baby floated back into Salems arms and she presented him with his meal that he began to drink with gusto. Salem took a moment to look around the store before deciding that she was going to need some of this for the trip back. After jaune had finished eating she lulled him to sleep before using her magic to make the baby hover once more. With the baby out of the way she could go to work packing baby formula and diapers for the long trip ahead.

Thirty minutes later and the ursa Salem had rode was carrying two duffle bags worth of baby food and diapers. Once Salem settled on the back of the ursa she lifted her arm's to take back the baby who was sound asleep in the air. Taking out a blanket from the bag she wrapped jaune up so he wouldn't get cold on the way home.

Salem tapped the ursa on the head and the beast began marching again. The long road home wasn't so boring anymore especially when she looked down at the small bundle of joy in her arm's. He snoozed away without a care in the world and that had her smiling softly.

Nothing stands in the way of a mother trying to provide for her child. On a side note those poor villagers!
