What's this? Another chapter already? that's right my readers, I hope you enjoy it.

Day 10

Over the past few days things were going so well with him creating different types of dishes, and then the unthinkable happened. "I swear I'm going to kill you" vernal screamed from behind a nearby bush. Jaune hadn't had the chance to eat his food yet and now it didn't look like he was about to now. he looked over to where cinder had vanished only to hear her pained sounds as she vomited what she ate. Jaune stood up and looked over the ingredients he had used for todays meal. most of what he used was pretty familiar at this point, except for that.

Jaune held up a spare mushroom that he hadn't used. The mushroom was white all over with spots of brown but what really caught his attention were the green dust that came from it. If he had to say, it was probably the spores. "Hey cinder are you sure you've been checking all the herbs and vegetables like you were suppose to"? The raven haired girl popped her head over the bush she was behind and glared at him "do you really think I would shirk my duty when it comes to the food I would eat"?!

Truthfully he didn't think so, so the real question was why was this here and who had put it there in the first place? Jaune walked around the spot where the vegetables were placed and noticed there were a few more mushrooms in the pile. There was no way cinder would have missed so many with her attention to detail.

Jaune let out a sigh and moved over to where the second sword was. He drew the sword and looked it over for a moment just as both vernal and cinder returned. They both looked ill and that was probably what their guest wanted for him as well. He felt like such an idiot right now that he just wanted to laugh. Between the grimm, the wildlife and everything else he'd been busy with he'd forgotten that there were other people in the wilds besides themselves. To be more precise, bandits and hunters were probably out there somewhere but it was most likely bandits in this case.

The two things that came to mind were that someone snuck in to plant those mushrooms - which would have been impossible without he or cinder noticing - the second thing was that an expert marksmen was able to accurately toss them into the pile without them noticing from a distance. The second one seemed most likely because at night they were more alert because of the grimm and someone trying to sneak in would have been caught all to easily. Beside that the amount of mushrooms in the pile was more then what one person could carry so there'd have to have been multiple trips which seemed unlikely.

Jaune relayed his findings to the other two but made sure they kept their emotions in check cause it was likely they were still being watch from somewhere. "So what are we supposed to do now" vernal griped. Although cinder still felt sick she moved over to the vegetable pile and started tossing out their greens. "We will only eat what we pick during the day instead of hording, that way they can't contaminate our food supply".

It was a good idea but that would only alert the bandits that they knew they were there. Jaune walked over to cinder and placed a hand on her shoulder "tell me if this helps any" he said before flooding her with his aura. Cinder was silent for a moment before she nodded "I'm feeling a lot better, thanks". Her eye's widened a moment later before she pulled jaune in close and whispered something in his ear.

"I see" jaune said calmly.

Vernal didn't get what was going on but when she saw jaune pick up some of the food he made and put it in his mouth she flipped out on him. "Jaune what the fuck?! The blonde looked as sick as she felt and when he ran passed her into the bush she knew what was going to happen next. "Bleugh! just as she had predicted, jaune had vomited like the rest of them. What was he thinking? she'd never know but when he returned and explained what was about to happen, she just nodded obediently and did as he said.

Oh my! Trouble in the woods! Time to shine my trio de Danger lol.
