That same evening, Luna stood in front of the board confidently, feeling a small smile crawl onto her face once she was connected with them. "Luna," Helena began hesitantly, sitting her elegant self up a little straighter once she saw her there. "Before you even begin, we've heard about all that happened last night with the Argent family. It looked…frankly, disturbing."

"Mhm," Luna nodded slowly, pushing her tongue over her teeth. "That 'little group of teens' that you SO scathingly insisted 'couldn't handle Beacon Hills' - handled it just fine. Just like I knew we would."

Helena sucked her cheeks in, her eyes squinting in thought.

"That Scott McCall friend of yours…he has something about him. Something…valiant, something strong," she murmured, fiddling with her feathered quill contemplatively. "I definitely want you to keep an eye on him."

That set Luna back a few paces.

"Keep an eye on Scott? I mean yeah, he's a lovely guy and a great friend-"

"No Luna, he's better than that. Far better…" Helena hummed, her eyes twinkling. "Either way, the relationship you have with your friends is…somehow…saving lives in that godforsaken area. You…you were right. So…"

"So…does this mean I get to stay at Beacon Hills and rejoin the Moon Council?" Luna smiled excitedly, clasping her slender hands together excitedly.

"Yes. Yes it does. But Luna, the moment something big comes up that you, in your head and heart, know that you cannot physically handle - just make sure you tell us, alright? I know you have confidence in your friends and their abilities, but I also know that you're not silly and you know when to admit defeat - even if that includes potential risks coming to the people you love," Helena told her seriously.

"I will, I promise. I wouldn't put anyone in danger, least of all my friends - you can trust me. Thank you, Helena. I won't let you down," Luna smiled, before switching off the system. She spun herself round to where Isaac was laying in her bed waiting for her, smiling at him giddily.

"I'm so freaking proud of you," Isaac grinned as he speedily pulled her on top of him, causing Luna to straddle his waist with an amused little giggle.

Oh yes - they were back like they never left.

"Thank you baby," she smirked back down at him, placing her hands on his sturdy pecs as Isaac smiled back up at her. "In case it wasn't obvious, I'm extremely glad to have you back here, by the way." Isaac winced awkwardly, dropping his gaze slightly.

"Yeah. Look, I'm sorry about what-"

"It doesn't even matter. Just…don't leave me without notice again," Luna hummed softly before locking lips with him hungrily, running her fingers across his back as they intensified their kiss within seconds.

But then, something odd happened. Luna, whilst skimming her fingers across his back, she found a few scarred bumps. She broke the kiss and chewed on her bottom lip in concern. "What's that? Did…did you hurt yourself?"

Isaac winced again, knowing full well what was about to kick off if he wasn't careful.

"Not so much did I hurt myself," Isaac murmured slowly, stroking her arms lightly with his fingertips to keep her calm. It was as if he could tell what was coming, but there was nothing he could do to stop it. "But…"

"The Argents?" Luna guessed with a matching scowl.

"Actually…just the one," Isaac winced awkwardly.

"Oh. Well…which one?" Luna blinked.

"…Allison."

It was as if the world had slowed down around her completely.

"ALLISON DID THAT TO YOU?!" she yelped, leaping back up off the bed again. Her usually peaceful face was absolutely enraged, her cheeks flushed red and her fair eyebrows knitted together in frustration. "Allison? As in Scott's Allison?"

"I mean do we know of another Allison?" Isaac grimaced. He ran his hand over his face and groaned, lolling his head from side to side. "Listen Luna, at the end of the day I'm okay and she was just upset-"

"Upset! Isaac, if she lays a single hand on you again, I will kill the girl myself - I don't care who she's grieving," was all Luna muttered stiffly, manoeuvring to her bedroom window to look out of that instead. Isaac stared at her for a little longer, leaning his head to the side in thought.

"Luna…" he smirked slightly, licking is lips.

"What?" Luna glanced over at him with a pout.

"You're super sexy when you're threatening people," Isaac growled. Luna rolled her eyes and waved him off. "No, c'mere," Isaac hummed softly, holding his hands out to her. Eventually, Luna rolled her eyes and did what he asked, and he grabbed her and hoisted her into his arms.

All she could do was giggle as his lips attacked her neck and she pushed against him, completely in bliss.

FOUR MONTHS LATER

It had been an entire four months - and goodness gracious, how much had changed.

"I swear Stiles, for once I feel like this year is actually gonna be pretty great for us," Scott was insisting to Stiles enthusiastically, as they both chose and took their seats in their new class.

"Well I appreciate the total enthusiasm," Stiles frowned back, pulling out his books and slamming them onto the desk. "Actually, I think I do. On the other hand it's making me kind of uncomfortable and I'd much prefer your pessimism…"

"Stiles, anything positive makes you uncomfortable these days," Scott rolled his eyes back with a smirk. "You've turned into a pretty dark ass soul, huh?"

"Truer words have literally never been spoken," Stiles sighed as he leant back in his chair. "You know, the most important thing-" Suddenly, he was interrupted by two slender arms around his neck, almost choking him out. He gripped the one arm that he could and quickly found that he struggled to look up, so his eyes darted to Scott in a panic instead. "God, please tell me this is someone I actually like and this isn't just the end of my life as I freakin' know it?"

"Actually, I'd argue that it's someone you love," Scott smirked over at him knowingly. Stiles took a chance and finally glanced up, just to see the radiant Luna above him.

Somehow, she looked even more beautiful than she did four months ago, and it took his breath away completely. In fact, Stiles' entire heart began to slow down at the sheer sight of her, unable to fathom it.

"Hey Stilesy," Luna giggled, squeezing him a little tighter.

"Luna?! You look…" Stiles spluttered.

"Hot?" Scott added in with a blink.

"I was actually gonna say…"

"Hot," Scott nodded again, gaining a whack around the back of the head from Stiles' notebook.

"Thanks boys - you always know what to say," Luna laughed, letting go of Stiles and settling herself in the chair beside him as she always did. "How were your summers?"

"Full of fun - how was yours?" Scott smirked back.

"Great, thanks! Best part was that I got put back onto the Moon Council," Luna beamed proudly, prodding Scott's toned shoulder. "Because of your little genius as hell plan with Gerard, they now trust me to oversee Beacon Hills again!"

"What?! That's amazing!" Stiles exclaimed proudly as Scott grinned.

"I knowwwww," Luna sighed with a pleased smile. "I feel like I actually have a purpose now, ya know?"

"Oh, Luna, I was meant to ask - have you heard from Isaac?" Scott asked, lowering his voice slightly.

That was when Luna's smile dropped from her face almost immediately, and her entire demeanour changed in front of their very eyes, throwing them both off considerably.

"Okayyy…you don't have to answer if you don't want to."

"N-no," she muttered, lowering her gaze onto her desk ashamedly. "Not for a while. I'd argue that I…am single again. I asked him to never leave me like he did on that day, and he swore that he wouldn't. He lied."

"AWWW well that is a crying shame!" Stiles tutted, receiving a sharp nudge to the ribs from Scott.

"Wait, but is he okay? Do you even know if he's okay?" he frowned worriedly.

"No idea, Scott," Luna rolled her eyes back tiredly. "I don't even wanna check where he is. Like I said, he promised he wouldn't leave me out nowhere and-"

"But Isaac isn't one to break a promise, and we all know that. So does that not just make you think that something genuinely bad has happened to him?" Scott blinked, not understanding.

"Couldn't care less. He has a knack for behaving like this and I have more things to worry about, trust me," Luna lied, before clearing her throat and straightening herself up again, ready for class.

But before she could even say another word, she spotted Allison walk in, looking a little sheepish. Luna ran her tongue over her teeth and glared directly at her before tearing her eyes back onto her desk again.

And then Ms Blake walked in.

There was no doubt about it - Luna's senses went haywire immediately. Her sinuses felt like they were simply going to implode. She was losing it, she wanted to sneeze, she wanted to cough, she wanted to scream, she wanted to-

"Luna? Dude, your nose!" Stiles hissed, snapping her out of her daze immediately. Her hands flew to her nose in a desperate attempt to cup the iron laden thick blood that was trickling into her mouth.

"Oh my god," she mumbled out in a terrified state. "Do you have any tissues, please? Is it a lot?!"

"Yeah, right here and yeah, it is a lot," Stiles whispered, passing them over hurriedly. Luna held them against her nose with a grimace as Ms Blake addressed the class, casually starting the lesson. She had seemingly completely looked directly past Luna, barely noticing the nosebleed or the commotion that was taking place at her desk. But for Luna, the panic was, for some reason, getting so much worse.

Luna squeezed her eyes shut and attempted to regulate her breathing, aware that she was losing a lot of blood at this point from how light headed she felt already. She didn't know how she hadn't been asked to leave by Ms Blake, or whether she was okay, but the blood just continued dripping down her hands as the lesson continued on.

Then, before she could even look back up, Stiles had dramatically thrown himself on top of her - and her senses flew back into action again.

There was an awful ringing in her ears and her palms were sweating like mad. Everything she could hear was echoed, as if she was underwater.

"Stiles? Stiles, w-w-why the hell are you o-o-on top of me?" she whispered shakily. Stiles, who appeared to be shielding her from something, slowly lowered his arm down so that she could see the state of the classroom for herself. There were dead crows sprawled out on the floor, blood and black feathers everywhere, coating everyone - including Ms Blake. Luna's eyes widened as she gingerly stood up, peering over at the broken windows they'd created, placing a hand on her heart and shaking her head.

"Luna…did…did you do this?" Stiles murmured into her ear worriedly. Luna's eyes squinted and she bit her bottom lip.

"I…I hope not?"

….

"Luna, you calling this soon after our last conversation hardly fills me with joy, but instead, a deep apprehension," Helena groaned as soon as Luna presented in front of them.

"Four months is not that soon, Helena - and this feels like an emergency," Luna muttered, pacing her room in front of them all. She nibbled on the pads of her thumbs and tried to keep herself calm. "Everything was perfectly fine until now."

"Even four months in itself was a borderline miracle," Helena grumbled to herself. "So what is it now? Why do you look so dishevelled?"

"Today, whilst in class, my nose suddenly started pulsating thick, heavy blood, and a host of crows flew directly into the classroom windows, instantly killing themselves in some kind of…mass suicide," Luna explained shortly, bracing herself for Helena's response.

"…Uh huh?" Helena blinked a few times.

"Wha- you sound as if you want or need more information than that?" Luna muttered, running her hands through her hair.

"I mean… did this happen all at once or in two separate incidents?" Helena asked intriguingly.

"It was kinda like…one after the other. Like, whilst my nose was bleeding and pulsating, I lost my senses briefly, pretty much all of them - and then they came rushing back. But when they came back, the crows had burst through the classroom windows and Stiles, my best friend, was holding me down to protect me from getting harmed. If he hadn't have done that I would've been attacked and seriously hurt, as I had no idea what was going on around me for those few seconds. And that's not good, Helena. I am freaking out."

"Right," Helena blinked a few more times, twirling her feathered pen between her fingers.

"Like, I felt totally overwhelmed and helpless without my self awareness. It was…a moment of vulnerability," Luna breathed shakily. She pressed the trembling tips of her fingertips together. "I…I've never had a reaction like that before. It was…scary."

"Mhm. It's a slight concern, sure - but the biggest problem is that it could've been a reaction to absolutely anything," Helena explained as carefully as possible. "I can't flag it up or prepare anyone from the Moon Council to go down to help you, because it might just have been animals freaking out, as they do. And if they did, that might have been what sparked the nosebleed. You are in tune with nature, after all. So…I mean, keep an eye on it, and if we need to further action something later on, we'll do so."

Luna nibbled on her bottom lip and nodded, the pit of her stomach growing bigger.

Isaac missing? Crows losing it? Nosebleeds so thick she got dizzy?

How much worse could it get?
