Chapter 1

It's the day of Eda's petrification. Lilith and King have been put in the cage with Eda. Lilith looked up at Eda and said "Hello Edalyn." Eda glared at Lilith. Then she paced back and forth and said "Lilith you hurt Luz, you cursed me, and before I'm turned to stone I'm going to rip you apart." Eda stopped pacing and went to swipe at Lilith. But King ran in front of Lilith and yelled "Wait!" Eda stopped and gasped.

"She was trying to help. She even betrayed the Emperor for you." informed King

Eda looked over at Lilith and asked "She what?" Lilith looked up at Eda and said "Eda I.. If I knew something like this would happen.." The woman was cut off by the sound of the petrification machine. It's fully charged and it fired a green beam at the cage. First Eda ran in front of Lilith and King to protect them. But Lilith doesn't want Eda to be petrified. This is all of her fault and wants to make things right. So she pushed Eda away and quickly put up a magic shield. She glanced back at Eda and asked "Are you ok?' Eda nodded and replied "Yeah I'm ok." Lilith groaned a bit but kept her shield up. But she isn't sure how long she can keep her shield up.

A minute later Lilith saw Luz. Just as Luz showed up the beam got stronger. Lilith is trying to keep her shield up. But the beam is to strong. Just as Luz threw a plant glyph at the machine. The beam breaks through Lilith's shield and hit Lilith. Luz's plant glyph activated and vines. Wrapped around the machine and tipped it stopping the machine. Kikimora huffed and asked "What is the meaning of this?" Luz walked up to Kikimora with a fire glyph in her hand. She glared at Kikimora and ordered "Release them now!" Kikimora drew a magic circle and the bars on the cage disappeared. Luz ran over to the cage and asked "Eda are you ok?"

Eda nodded and replied "Yeah I'm ok." Coven scouts are running toward the cage. Eda yelled "Let's get out of here!" She knelt down to let Luz and King get on her. Then she glanced over at Lilith. She gasped when she saw stone crawling up Lilith's legs. Eda went to reach for Lilith. But Lilith shook her head and stated "No get out of here while you can. I deserve whatever happens to me next." Lilith reached into the pocket of her dress. And pulled out a bag, she threw it and stated "Catch human inside the bag. Is something that will help Eda now get out of here." Eda flapped her wings and flew away. As she did the crowd cheered. Kikimora growled then saw Emperor Belos.

Belos walked over and addressed the crowd. After addressing the crowd he walked over to Lilith. By now the stone has made it to her hips. He glared at her then ordered "Guards take her to maximum security. And go get Hetti." The guards nodded and said "Yes Emperor Belos." Three coven scouts picked up Lilith and carried her into the conformatorium. While another went to go get Hetti. Once down in maximum security the scouts put Lilith in a cell. A few minutes later Belos and Hetti came into the cell.

"Hetti help Lilith fight the spell. So that I can have a word with her. Then I'll decide what to do with her." ordered Belos

Hetti nodded and her hands started glowing. The stone stopped at Lilith's midsection and is now gone. Hetti bowed and took her leave. Lilith glanced over at Belos. He is glaring at her and is very angry.

"Why Lilith why did you betray me?" asked Belos

"You betrayed me first. By not keeping your word. And your word is supposed to be law. So I decided to make things right." replied Lilith

Angry Belos spat "Then I hereby strip you of your rank. And banish you from my coven!" Lilith huffed and asked "That's fine I don't care. What are you going to me? Petrify me when the machine is fixed?" Belos lashed out at Lilith hitting her face.

"No I'm going to beat the crap out of you. And leave you here to die." growled Belos

Lilith stood her ground and said "Well at least I'll have a chance. To bring you down a few pegs." With that said Belos and Lilith started fighting. Meanwhile Eda has landed in front of her house. Luz and King jumped off of Eda's back. The teenaged girl got into the bag that Lilith gave to her. Inside is a potion bottle and pieces of paper. Luz took out the potion bottle and saw that it has a purple liquid in it. There is a piece of paper on it that says "Give this to Eda." Luz took the cork out of the bottle. She walked up to Eda and said "You need to take this." Eda opened her mouth and Luz poured the potion into Eda's mouth.

Then she watched as Eda started to change back to normal. Eda changed most of the way back. So King ran into the house. He found a couple of elixirs and ran back outside. Eda took the elixirs and drank them. Now she is back to normal. She looked at Luz and asked
"Are you ok kiddo?" Luz nodded and replied "Yeah I'm ok." The three of them hugged then Eda asked "What else is in that bag?" Luz reached into the bag and pulled out two pieces of paper. Both have Lilith's hand writing on them. One has Eda's name on it and the other has Luz's name on it.

"Come on let's go inside and read these." suggested Eda

The three of them went into the house. They sat on the couch and Eda said "You first kid." Luz opened the folded piece of paper. Then she started reading. "Dear human I mean Luz. I am so sorry for everything. Emperor Belos had me under a time crunch. To bring in Eda so I was desperate. I just want you to know that. I was in full control and would have made sure. That you wouldn't be severely harmed." After Luz finished reading her letter Eda. Opened hers and started reading. "Dear Edalyn I hope the potion that I got from Vitimir's potions room helped you change back. And Eda I am so sorry for everything. I'm sorry for cursing you. And I'm sorry that I pushed you to use what magic you had left.

Not long after I became the head of the Emperors Coven. Emperor Belos started promising me. That if I either captured you or brought you to the coven. He would heal you of your curse. But once he reveled to me. That he wouldn't heal you like he promised. I felt so betrayed so I decided. To make things right by helping Luz and King get to you. I don't think the potion will restore your magic. So have your bird worm on high guard. Because I don't know if Belos will continue to come after you. And please take care of Dusk for me." read Eda

"Luz is there anything else in that bag?" asked Eda

Luz opened the bag again and looked in it. She shook her head and replied "No there isn't anything else in here." Eda reached up and ran her hand through her hair. She ran her hand through her hair until she felt something wood. The witch grabbed it and pulled it out of her hair. She looked and she has a wooden white raven in her hand. Luz saw it as well and asked "Is that what I think that is?" Eda nodded and replied "Yes it is it's Lilly's palisman. She must have stuck him in my hair. Eda knew it was getting late so she said "Let's go get ready for bed. And I would like it if you and King. Sleep with me tonight."

They all went upstairs and got ready for bed. Then they went to Eda's room and got into her nest. They laid down and got comfortable and went to sleep.
