Hello all Storm here with a third and final prologue chapter! As we get a closer look at Miu's family life, and see not everything is as perfect as one would believe. Along with the Graduation Exam, which will lead to very big changes, and seal the fates of many. So, without further ado.
I own nothing
"So, did you have a good day at the Academy, Miu-chan?" Tsunade asked while smiling at her daughter as she and her family sat the table, eating dinner that Miu and Shizune had prepared.
"It was okay, just going over past lessons as a refresher for the Graduation Exam. Anything interesting at the hospital?" Replied Miu shrugging before looking at her mother curiously.
"Nothing major, which is a good thing considering the alternative. It was pretty standard, checking on patients, making sure rooms are properly stocked and that everyone is up to standard." Replied Tsunade, knowing her position didn't require her to do much unless there was an emergency or a war that required Medical-Nin to be out in the field.
"Did anything interesting happen at the Academy Miu?" Dan asked, aware that the current conversation wasn't going to be pleasant, but it also needed to happen.
"Not really. Like Kaa-sama's day, mine was just pretty standard." Miu said, only for her father to give her look, one she's seen before that shows he knows she's not saying something.
"Are you sure? No one was causing any disturbances? No problems at all?" Questioned Dan, hoping she'd tell them what happened herself.
"No, no problems or disturbances." Said Miu, shaking her head, only for Tsunade and Shizune to now look at her as well.
"Okay. What happened?" Tsunade said, now knowing she's hiding something with the way her husband's talking, with Dan sighing when Miu remained silent.
"Iruka came to my office today, with more complaints…about Naruto." Dan revealed, causing Tsunade to immediately scowl.
"What did that brat do this time?" Questioned Tsunade, now annoyed to hear what the problem was.
Despite what happened that night along with the distant blood relation, Tsunade really didn't like Naruto for a variety of reasons. The biggest being with how he treats her daughter, who does nothing but try to be nice and befriend him, while he practically spits in her face every time.
The Sannin had been tempted more than a few times to find the brat and beat some respect into his head, only for Miu to stop her. Swearing if she did anything to Naruto then she'd never speak to her again, much less be anywhere near her ever again. The girl even doing so for an entire week when Tsunade tried calling her bluff, only for Miu to show she was serious. Going out of her way to avoid being anywhere near her mother. Making Tsunade relent and promise to not go near Naruto, though it did nothing to improve her opinion of him. That her daughter would go that far for some brat that's done nothing but push her around.
"He…implied that the Third War only ended because of Sandaime-dono's and Minato's actions in defeating Kumo and Iwa respectively." Dan said slowly.
"Because it's true." Muttered Miu, making her family look at her.
"Miu, you shouldn't discredit your father's part in ending the war. Sandaime-sama and Minato-senpai did help stop Kumo and Iwa from fighting, but Uncle Dan ensured it ended there. You can defeat an opponent, but it's important to show restraint and to offer a hand rather than a fist, otherwise it'll only lead to more fighting." Shizune said, Tsunade and Dan both nodded in agreement.
"They're both right. Besides just look at how he handled Kumo when they tried getting the Byakugan then tried demanding Hiashi's body. He put them in their place, just fine." Said Tsunade, having been proud of how Dan handled the Hyūga Affair.
Kumo had sent their Head Ninja to Konoha to form an alliance between their villages, when in reality it was an attempt to kidnap Hiashi's daughters to get the Byakugan. Only for Hiashi to discover and kill him, unaware it was the Head Ninja until after he was dead. With Kumo denouncing his actions, that he acted alone and demanded reparations for their Head Ninja's death, wanting Hiashi's body. Which everyone knew was just another attempt at them to get the Byakugan.
The Hyūga Clan had refused, not wanting to let anyone get their hands on the Byakugan, even planning to hand over Hiashi's twin brother Hizashi in his place. Given how once he died, his Byakugan would be sealed by his Caged Bird Seal, ensuring the Byakugan would remain out of Kumo's hands.
But Dan had put an end to that plan, informing the Raikage that Kumo's Head Ninja had infiltrated one of Konoha's Ninja Clans, attempting to kidnap the children of a Clan Head. That regardless if it was planned or he acted alone, his life was forfeit. Along with giving them some counter demands, knowing it'd make Kumo and the Raikage seem incompetent that they didn't know what their Head Ninja was planning.
It succeeded in making Kumo, reluctantly, back down. But the Raikage made it clear the treaty was now null and void, something that had only enflamed the cold war between their villages. But, so far, neither side had made a move.
'Yeah, let's see how long that lasts before Kumo tries something else. And showing restraint, tell that to the Uchiha Clan.' Miu thought, but knew better than to say it out loud.
"There's also how when the students reviewed the Transformation Jutsu…Naruto transformed into Madara Uchiha." Dan revealed, sighing when Tsunade shot up from her seat.
"He did what?!" Demanded Tsunade, now officially angry he did something like that.
"It was just a transformation; he didn't do anything wrong! I turned into Great-Grandpa Hashirama, but that wasn't a problem!" Miu said, knowing the reaction that would get.
"That's different Miu! Grandfather was a good man, a hero that helped build Konoha! Madara was…just look at history and the rest of his clan to know what he was!" Said Tsunade, having several words she'd like to say about Madara, none of which she wanted to say around her daughter.
"He helped build Konoha too! The Senju and Uchiha both helped build the village!" Retorted Miu, not liking how the entire village either acted like the Uchiha Clan never existed or completely denounced any and all contribution they've made towards Konoha's founding ever since they were wiped out.
Them, and the Uzumaki Clan, the latter Miu really hated with how she only knew about them because her great-grandmother was an Uzumaki. But not once were they mentioned in the lessons at the Academy, despite the close ties they had to the Senju Clan and having allied with Konoha since its founding. She wasn't even sure if Naruto was aware of the Uzumaki Clan, having hoped to talk to him about it as a means for them to bond. But whenever she tried talking to him, he'd barely let her get a word out before telling her to leave him alone or walking off.
"And then he came back to try and destroy it with the Kyūbi! It's only because of grandfather that Konoha is still standing! And that…that brat thinks it was funny to turn into him?! How do we know he doesn't plan on being like him!" Tsunade said, believing if Naruto was willing to turn into Madara with a simple transformation, who's to say he didn't plan on really becoming him when he's older.
"Well maybe if people stopped hating him and seeing him as dangerous, he wouldn't!" Miu shouted, angry that her mother would actually say that, knowing it's stuff like that that's made Naruto the way he is.
"Why are you even defending him?! He's done nothing but insult and push you around! Yet you always try being nice to him when he's done nothing to deserve it! Why do you care?!" Demanded Tsunade, wanting to know why her daughter was so determined to be nice to the whiskered blonde.
"Because no one else does!" Yelled Miu, glaring at her mother before turning to her father with Dan unable to help but flinch at the look, knowing there's more to it than just her being angry, aware she's upset with him personally.
Flashback*
"Miu, are you alright?" Dan asked, entering his daughters room, having just got home and learned that she's been in here since getting back from the Academy.
With Tsunade and Shizune both worried with what could've happened since Miu hadn't said anything when she got back. Having simply gone up to her room, ignoring their attempts to ask her what's wrong, hoping Dan would be able to learn what could've happened.
"I'm fine." Muttered Miu while laying on her bed, staring up at the ceiling with a downcast expression.
"You sure? You don't seem fine. Did something happen at the Academy?" Questioned Dan, sitting on the edge of her bed looking at her curiously.
"No, nothing happened. Just…" Miu said, only to sigh and roll over before burying her face in her pillow.
"Just what? You can tell me; I promise it'll be our secret." Dan said while smiling at her, with Miu lifting her head to look at her father.
"Really?" Miu asked, Dan nodded in response.
"Really. I'm Hokage after all, so it's my duty to help everyone in Konoha. Especially my own daughter." Said Dan, getting a giggle from Miu only for her to sigh as she sat up.
"I…tried making a friend at the Academy." Miu said, looking down at the admission.
"I see. I'm guessing it didn't go well." Dan stated, guessing that's what had her upset.
"No…he barely even let me say anything before telling me to go away and never bother him again. I didn't even do anything but he acted like I…did something really bad to him." Replied Miu sadly, while Dan tensed at hearing this.
"…It's a boy?" Dan asked, already not liking that.
"Yeah, his name's Naruto and he's in my class. And he…just seems lonely, no one else goes near him, the other kids avoid him, the teachers seem to ignore him. I've even seen parents pulling their kids away from him, telling them to avoid him too. But…I've never seen anything wrong with him, I don't know why everyone seems to pretend he doesn't exist. So I…just wanted to show him I could be his friend, but he wouldn't even give me a chance." Miu explained, with Dan only tensing further at hearing who his daughter tried befriending.
"Oh…Naruto." Said Dan, unsure what to think of that.
"You know him?" Miu asked, looking at her father curiously.
"I've…met him a few times. He didn't have a place to stay so I got him an apartment, along with sending him a monthly stipend." Said Dan, causing Miu to smile brightly.
"That's great! Do you think you could introduce us?! Maybe he'll feel better being friends if I'm with you when you go see him!" Said Miu, happy to know her father knew Naruto too, which would make it easier for her to befriend him.
"I…can't actually do that, Miu." Dan said, dimming Miu's eagerness.
"What? Why not? If you've met him before and talk to him, why can't you introduce us?" Miu asked, confused at why he couldn't take her to meet Naruto.
"You misunderstand. I helped Naruto get an apartment and send a monthly stipend because that's what would be expected of me as Hokage. But I can't go around giving him special treatment, Miu. I helped him get on his feet, but that's all I can do." Said Dan, wanting her to understand that he can't show special treatment.
"But…don't you always say that everyone in Konoha is family? That we look out for each other and take care of each other?" Said Miu, now frowning at this.
"Yes and that's true, it's important for all of us to look out for each other because everyone in Konoha is family and family looks out for each other." Dan said, only for Miu's frown to deepen.
"Then it shouldn't matter if you help Naruto, he's part of the village so that makes him family." Miu stated, not seeing what the issue was, while Dan sighed.
"It's not that simple Miu. Naruto is…special, I guess you could say, he's not like the other kids and it's because of that I can't show special treatment to him. I helped him when it was necessary, but he needs to learn to do things on his own if he's expected to grow as a Ninja." Said Dan, with the young Senju still frowning.
"Then what about me? I get special training from you and Kaa-san, I also get treated differently by everyone in the village. Why am I treated differently if you can't give anyone special treatment?" Questioned Miu.
"That's because you're our daughter, it's our duty to help train you so you can be prepared for the challenges of being a Ninja. And being our daughter along with a direct descendant of Shodai-sama means you are going to be seen differently, because you're special." Dan replied, while Miu now looked at him blankly.
"But not special like, Naruto." Miu stated, now wondering what made Naruto special but not get the same treatment as her if she's special too.
"No…no, not special like Naruto. Miu it's…it's just very complicated." Said Dan as he let out a sigh, since he couldn't tell her about the Kyūbi as that would lead Miu down a very deep rabbit hole that he wasn't sure she'd be able to climb out of.
"Yeah…sure it is. Thanks for the talk, but I'd like to be alone now." Said Miu before lying back down and turning away from her father, making Dan frown sadly as he got back up, not wanting to risk pushing her.
"Okay. You'll understand when you're older Miu, just…give it time okay." Dan said, sighing when she didn't say anything before he left her room.
End Flashback*
Since then Dan couldn't help but notice a…distance formed between him and Miu, which soon extended to Tsunade after her attempt to go after Naruto. With her soon starting to refer to them as "Tou-sama" and "Kaa-sama". Something that had hurt given the more distant, respectful way she addressed them. She also wasn't as affectionate or open with them anymore, the only one Miu was still open with was Shizune.
Dan also couldn't help but notice that ever since then, Miu no longer seemed to share the belief of everyone in Konoha being a family. As whenever he tried talking to her about it, she'd always bring up Naruto and how no one sees him as family.
It worried and saddened the Yondaime at the distance forming between them and their daughter, having tried thinking of something to do to fix it only to come up empty.
"I think I'm gonna go to bed. I want to get up early for the Graduation Exam." Miu said while standing up from the table, having no interest to continue arguing.
"Miu, wait-" Tsunade said, reaching for her daughter, only for Miu to slip past her as she began rushing upstairs before the Slug Princess could stop her.
"I could talk to her." Shizune offered standing up.
"If you could, please Shizune." Said Dan, smiling in thanks to his niece, with her returning it before heading after Miu.
Going to Miu's room, Shizune knocked on the door before peeking inside, seeing the young Senju sitting on her bed with her legs pulled up to her chest.
"Hey. Are you alright?" Shizune asked while entering and closing the door.
"No, I'm not. What is Kaa-sama's problem with Naruto?! She's never even met him, but she's always acting like he's constantly pushing me around and making my life hell! Yeah maybe he's not…the nicest, but she's acting like he really is Madara! And why does Tou-sama not do anything to help him?! He always talks about the village being family, but acts like Naruto is just a stranger he's allowing to stay in the village!" Miu said, frustrated and angry, with Shizune sighing as she sat down on her bed.
"It's…complicated. Tsunade-sama doesn't really have a problem with Naruto himself, but…" Said Shizune before stopping since she couldn't say what the real problem was.
Unable to say that Tsunade and Kushina never had the…best relationship, with how Kushina had been brought to Konoha around the time Nawaki died and how Mito doted on her. Making Tsunade believe that she was trying to replace her brother. Though their relationship did improve for a time after Uzushio was destroyed and the Uzumaki Clan was wiped out. Things soon took a turn for the worse when the time came to transfer the Kyūbi to Kushina, with Mito dying a few weeks after the process. With Tsunade holding Kushina responsible for taking away her grandmother, leading to thing deteriorating between them. And after Tsunade started dating Dan and his near-death experience, she simply didn't interact with Kushina at all. Having no interest or desire to spend time with her.
While Kushina held a grudge against Tsunade for being blamed for Mito's death when Mito was the only other Uzumaki in Konoha with the rest of her family being killed. Even going as far as to not view Tsunade as a member of the Uzumaki Clan at all, just a Senju that happened to share her blood. And unfortunately, it seems Tsunade's dislike of Kushina transferred to Naruto as well.
Though Shizune wasn't sure that's the only reason she didn't like him.
Given how Miu could have just as easily been the Kyūbi's Jinchūriki rather than Naruto, Tsunade might simply not like what Naruto represents. The life that Miu could've had if she did become a Jinchūriki, being hated and isolated by nearly the entire village. Something the Slug Princess hated, and by extension Naruto, for being a constant reminder of it. With Miu's desire to befriend him not helping, believing it'll cause the village to start hating her just for associating with the whiskered blonde.
"But what?" Miu asked, frowning as she looked at her cousin, pulling Shizune from her thoughts.
"It's…" Shizune said, before stopping herself from saying anything further while letting out a sigh, knowing that what she was about to say was the last thing Miu wanted to hear.
"Complicated…yeah, I know… A lot of things seem to be complicated with them." Muttered Miu, hating how her parents continue to treat her like a child, even when she's about to become a Genin.
This made Shizune sigh again, but understood her frustration with not knowing anything and how Tsunade and Dan weren't telling her anything. But with everything they've been through, Tsunade losing Nawaki and nearly losing Dan, her uncle's trauma from his near death experience in the Second Shinobi War and then the Kyūbi Attack, where Miu nearly became its Jinchūriki. It had made them both very protective of Miu, wanting to protect her from anything and anyone that could potentially hurt her, whether physically or mentally.
'They can't even see that they're the ones who are hurting her.' Thought Shizune as she glanced at Miu.
"Well…are you excited to become a Genin tomorrow?" Shizune asked while smiling at her, hoping to change to a more positive topic.
"Yeah, I guess." Miu said before she suddenly perked as an idea hit her.
"Actually Shizune, can I get your opinion on something?" Questioned Miu, quickly getting off her bed and going over to her closet.
"Of course. What is it?" Said Shizune, curious of what she wanted her opinion on.
"I've been thinking since I'm going to be a Ninja soon, that I should get a different outfit. To show I'm not just the daughter of a Kage and a Sannin anymore, that I'm a Ninja and my own person. That no one can boss me around anymore since being a Ninja means I'm considered an adult." Miu said, looking for the outfit.
"I think that's a wonderful idea, Miu. You can show everyone how serious you are at being a Ninja." Shizune said, smiling at her cousin, only for Miu to smirk as she pulled out the outfit she already picked out.
"I was actually thinking something more…rebellious." Said Miu, showing Shizune the outfit with the Medic-Nin unable to help but look at the outfit in shock.
"U-u-u-u-u-uh…a-a-ar-ar-a-are…yo-yo-you s-su-sure Miu? Th-th-th-that…seems a little…" Said Shizune, feeling Dan and Tsunade would die of shock seeing their daughter dressed in that, that's nothing to say what the rest of the village would think at seeing their Hokage's daughter wearing such a thing.
"And that's the idea." Miu said while smirking, knowing that's exactly the kind of reaction she wanted.
The young Senju feeling even more eager for tomorrow, knowing she'll be showing her parents and the entire village she's not going to be their perfect little girl anymore.
Next Day*
The next day, Tsunade, Dan and Shizune had all woken up getting ready for their respective days, with Tsunade fixing breakfast for them. Only for them to notice how Miu still hadn't come down yet, along with how nervous Shizune looked.
"Is everything alright, Shizune?" Tsunade asked while looking at her former apprentice.
"Y-yes, everything's fine Tsunade-sama. Just…anxious since Miu isn't down yet and I don't want her to miss the Graduation Exam." Replied Shizune while smiling nervously, telling a partial truth but not what she's really nervous about.
"Yeah, she should be down by now." Said Dan, looking at the stairs to see if their daughter was coming.
"I'll go check on her." Said Tsunade as she got up, wanting to make sure Miu's alright.
"No need, I just finished getting ready." Miu said while coming downstairs, getting everyone's attention.
Only for Tsunade and Dan to look at her in shock, and mortification in the latter's case, when they saw what Miu was wearing. The soon-to-be Genin merely smiling innocently, like nothing's wrong, as she walked up to the table grabbing some toast and onigiri.
"I'm only having a light breakfast, I just wanna hurry to the Academy for the Exam." Miu said casually as she ate her food.
"Wh-wh-wh-wh-wh-what…what are you wearing?!" Questioned Dan, wondering what his daughter was wearing and why, knowing it's something he didn't want anyone to see her in.
"It's my new outfit! I thought it was time for a change since I'm gonna be a Genin and I think this one is perfect!" Miu said, smiling as she quickly finished eating.
"No! No, no, no! Absolutely not! Go change into something less…that!" Tsunade exclaimed, refusing to have Miu walking around like that, it would just be inviting trouble.
"Sorry, what was that?! I can't hear you; I'm already leaving! See you Shizune!" Said Miu before quickly running out the door with a wave to her cousin.
"MIU!" Tsunade and Dan shouted after their daughter.
'Good luck.' Shizune thought while still smiling nervously, still not sure about her choice in outfit, but would support Miu's choice.
With Miu*
Meanwhile, Miu had begun walking once she was away from her home, smirking as she went through the village to the Academy. Getting more than a few looks as everyone she walked by looked at her in shock, embarrassment and mortification. Unable to believe what their Hokage's daughter was wearing and acting like it's completely normal.
'I'm sure everyone will know by the end of the day.' Miu thought, pleased with herself, as she soon arrived at the Academy.
Heading for her soon-to-be former classroom, Miu went inside seeing everyone else had already arrived, getting similar reactions as everyone else when she walked in. The Senju though smiled proudly when Naruto glanced at her when the door opened, only to actually look shocked at her attire. With her even seeing some traces of a barely noticeable blush on his face as she can just feel his eyes roaming over her body, checking her out.
'Yes! Progress!' Miu thought upon seeing that not only did he not immediately glare or dismiss her, but he actually showed some signs of being interested in her; she'll count it as a win.
The Senju Heiress's new outfit consisting of a skin-tight single-piece spandex suit with short sleeves and only going down to her mid-thigh leaving her legs exposed while being colored mostly purple with green lines going up the sides, along with a reddish-pink short-sleeved jacket, along with wearing her normal gloves and sandals.
The suit was also tight enough that it left practically nothing to the imagination and fully showed off her body.
"M-M-M-Miu?! Wh-wh-wh-where…where did you get something like that?!" Sakura asked as Miu sat beside her, highly doubting the Hokage and Tsunade would get their daughter clothes like this.
"It was a gift from my Taijutsu Instructor, with some modifications to better suit my style." Replied Miu.
With how she inherited her mother's super strength and had an affinity for her Chakra Enhanced Strength, her father had requested Might Gai to help her learn to control it when her mother was busy at the hospital and couldn't help. Along with improving her Taijutsu, allowing her to take full advantage of it.
The training had been very brutal but it certainly paid off in the end, allowing Miu to control and focus her strength without worry of unintentionally hurting someone. With Gai having also given her a pair of green spandex as a gift once her training was finished, to help her stoke her "Flames of Youth".
Not that Miu would actually wear them, but she was thankful for the gift and had modified them, shortening the sleeves and pants, and having it dyed purple while leaving some green parts. Being please with the finished result, knowing it suited her much better than being pure green.
However she never had a chance to wear it, knowing her parents would go crazy seeing her dressed in something that might as well be painted on her body. But now, Miu was done letting her parents make decisions for her or having expectations of who she is and what she's supposed to do.
Now she's going to be who she wants to be and not care what anyone says or thinks.
"Good luck Naruto! I know you'll be able to pass!" Miu said smiling and waving to the Uzumaki, who snapped out of his shock and scowled before looking away.
'Clearly she's crazier than I thought.' Naruto thought, not sure what the Senju's trying to do wearing that, probably hoping to get more attention than she already did.
It wasn't long before Iruka and their other teacher, Mizuki, arrived. Stopping in shock at the sight of Miu's outfit, before shaking it off.
"Ahem, okay. Thank you all for coming today, the past couple of years it's been a privilege to be your sensei to watch you all learn and grow. I know all of you will be splendid Konoha Ninja." Iruka said, smiling at his students.
"Now then, it's time for the Graduation Exam to begin. When we call your names please enter this room to begin your test." Said Iruka before he and Mizuki entered the side room, calling the first student up to take the Exam.
Watching students get up and go into the room with some coming out, wearing headbands, with Naruto scoffing at those who came out without one.
'They spent all this time preparing to graduate yet they still can't even perform the most useless Jutsu ever created? They'd only be useful as meat shields.' Naruto thought, knowing anyone that can't perform the Clone Jutsu doesn't even deserve to be a Ninja.
He at least had the excuse that he can't use it because of how much Chakra he had. What was the excuse for those that didn't have the same problem?
Though he did glance when Miu's name was called, with her coming out with her headband tied around her waist like a belt. Not surprised she passed, no matter how much he didn't like her, Naruto would very reluctantly admit that she was one of the strongest students in the Academy.
"Naruto Uzumaki!"
Hearing his name Naruto got and walked down the stairs to the room. Unable to help checking Miu out some more, despite his best efforts to ignore her as she smiled encouragingly at him as he entered.
'Fucking hormones!' Naruto mentally cursed at himself as he entered the exam room to see Iruka and Mizuki sitting behind a table with rows of headbands.
"Alright. To pass you need to create at least three clones." Iruka said neutrally, part of him hoping the Uzumaki fails, still believing it'd be a bad idea for him to be a Ninja.
"Shadow Clone Jutsu." Naruto said, creating six clones, much to Iruka's and Mizuki's shock that he knew the Shadow Clone Jutsu.
The only other person that performed it was Miu since, like Naruto, she had too much Chakra to perform the normal Clone Jutsu. Even with her Chakra Control, the best she could do was make a single clone that still looked much paler than her. Making it so she needed a more advanced Clone Jutsu that she can use properly.
"W-w-well…done…Naruto…you…pass." Iruka said reluctantly as he handed the Uzumaki a forehead protector.
"Sorry to disappoint." Said Naruto, taking the headband and tying it around his forehead before leaving the room.
"Good job Naruto, I knew you could do it." Miu said, smiling at him when she saw his forehead protector, with Naruto letting out a "Tsk" as he walked past her without a glance.
Later*
"You wanted to see me, Hokage-sama?" Naruto said as he entered the Hokage's Office, hiding his annoyance at being here.
The moment he walked out of the Academy an Anbu showed up and said the Hokage wanted to see him, much to Naruto's annoyance. Having no desire to speak to or even be around the Hokage unless it was official business. But knowing he didn't really have a choice Naruto had gone with the Anbu to see what the Hokage wanted to scold him about this time.
"Yes, thank you for coming Naruto. I'd like to congratulate you on graduating and becoming a Genin." Dan said, smiling at the whiskered blonde, only for Naruto to look at him blankly.
After a few moments of no response, Dan coughed into his fist before pulling two scrolls out of his desk.
"Anyway…the reason I called you here is to discuss some things with you. You see I'm impressed with how much you've improved in the Academy, since the…pranks stopped. Along with how much you've grown and matured, and now that you've graduated I believe you're ready to know the truth." Said Dan, believing that now he's a Genin and how much he's grown, Naruto's mature enough to know about his parents and the Kyūbi.
"What truth?" Said Naruto, narrowing his eyes, now fully paying attention at what truth was kept from him.
"The truth of the Kyūbi Attack. You see the younger generation believes that the Yellow Flash was able to defeat the Kyūbi at the cost of his own life. However the truth is that the Kyūbi couldn't be defeated nor could it be killed, instead the only way the Yellow Flash could stop it…was by sealing the Kyūbi away into a human host. However, the Kyūbi being the strongest of the nine Bijū could only be sealed away in certain people, and you were one such person. That is the truth, you are the Jinchūriki of the Kyūbi no Yōko." Dan explained as Naruto froze at hearing this while his eyes widened.
"That isn't all though. These scrolls, they contain everything that belonged to your parents, all their Jutsu, their notes on Fūinjutsu, their weapons, all the money they saved up, their files and documents. Everything that belongs to them is sealed away in these scrolls, locked away by Blood Seals that only someone with both their blood can open, meaning you. And for who they were, your father was Minato Namikaze the Yellow Flash and your mother was Kushina Uzumaki the Red Hot-Blooded Habanero and the Crimson Death." Revealed Dan, with the Uzumaki standing frozen at his words as his eyes locked on the scrolls .
Before he slowly stalked forward, quickly snatching the scrolls off the desk as if he was taking them back, looking at them intently.
"…You knew, this entire time and never told me." Naruto stated lowly with his head down, neither him nor Dan seeing how his eyes were flashing red.
"Yes. But it was for your own safety, Minato and Kushina made many enemies in their lives for their actions in the Third War. Particularly in Iwa, who wouldn't hesitate to kill the Yellow Flash's child. And the Kyūbi, it was important your status was kept hidden, even from you, given if the other villages found out Konoha's Jinchūriki was an untrained, defenseless child, you'd be targeted either to be killed or captured so they could claim the Kyūbi for themselves. Unfortunately, a few years after the Kyūbi Attack your Jinchūriki status was leaked to the village. Though I was able to crack down on it before it reached the younger generation, word had already spread amongst those old enough to have remembered the Kyūbi's rampage." Dan explained only to look up at the ceiling with a frown when dust began falling from it, noticing a few cracks in it.
"Why are you telling me this now?" Said Naruto, using all his willpower to not lose control as he felt the gravity around him growing heavier, ready to bring this entire tower down on top of them.
"Because I believe you've matured enough to handle the information and now that you're a Ninja, it's important for you to know." Replied Dan, with Naruto's eyes flashing red more rapidly along while feeling a strange burning sensation in them.
"I was…mature enough…to know my own parents? Mature enough…to know why everyone hated me? That…my father is the one who sealed the Kyūbi in me?" Naruto said, now tempted to bring the tower down, if it meant killing Dan he'd do it in a heartbeat.
"Yes. I assure it was nothing personal against you, but I couldn't take the chance of you telling anyone who your parents are or slipping about the Kyūbi. If it got back to the wrong people it would've only endangered you. But now you're ready for the information and receive everything your parents left behind." Dan said, Naruto clenched the scrolls tightly in his hands.
Perhaps, had Dan not been so blind by his love for the village and those living in it to see the negative impact their treatment towards Naruto was having on him. Had he actually taken the time to get to know Naruto and bond with him, maybe even adopted him due to his own wife's and daughter's ties to the Uzumaki clan. Had he not robbed Naruto of his sole means of coping with his isolation and venting his anger towards the village, without providing him with a less destructive and more healthy alternative. While he would've been angry, and rightfully so, Naruto would've been more understanding and willing to hear out his reasoning.
However, this is not the timeline they lived in. While Dan did genuinely have Naruto's best interests in mind, he lacked the empathy needed to truly reach out to Naruto and understand his situation. Unaware that the attempts he already made to reach out to Naruto and impose the ideals of the Will of Fire, the very ideals that Konoha was founded upon, only fed into Naruto's resentment towards both Dan and the village as a whole.
If everyone in Konoha was a family, why was isolated and treated like no one wanted him in the village? Why is it that people would be more concerned with the safety of an outsider, yet looked at him with eyes filled with anger and disdain?
With this revelation serving as the straw that broke the camel's back, burning whatever bridges Naruto still had and could've still formed with both Dan and the village as a whole.
"…Is that everything?" Said Naruto, knowing he needed to get out of here.
"Yes, that's all Naruto. You may go." Said Dan, nodding his head.
Naruto barely heard him before he immediately cancelled the effect of gravity on him, letting him shoot off out of the office far faster than one would expect from a new Genin. But right now the whiskered blonde was far beyond caring, only knowing he needed to get out before he increased gravity so much the Yondaime would simply burst.
With him instinctively rushing back to his apartment, going inside and locking the door behind him before going to his room and placing the scrolls in a hidden compartment under the floorboards to protect them from what was about to happen next. The moment they weren't in his hands, Naruto screamed in pure rage before punching his fist right through the wall. Not stopping there, Naruto grabbed his dresser and threw it across the room before slamming his fists down on his table, breaking it into pieces as he then grabbed the chairs and threw them against the walls.
He didn't stop there, breaking and destroying anything in sight until he collapsed to his knees while grabbing his head as the strain of the mental and emotional turmoil started to become too much for him, gritting his teeth as the burning sensation in eyes increased. Not just that, but he could feel his Chakra lashing out both within and around him as he felt…something mixing with his Chakra, feeling a cold darkness flowing through him… As his Chakra began transforming from blue to red then back to blue before turning in a bright golden yellow that soon darkened into a dark purple, almost black, while settling on that color. Not seeing how his hair was beginning to darken from its bright blonde.
Gritting his teeth, Naruto soon threw his head back before roaring loudly, with his Chakra exploding off of him as he heard the sound of glass shattering around him before he fell forward. Catching himself on his hands, panting heavily at having let out all the anger, sadness and resentment he felt building up over the years. Knowing that it was finally going to burst the moment the Hokage told him about the Kyūbi and his parents.
Once he managed to catch his breath, Naruto pushed himself up and made his way to the bathroom before slumping over the sink once he was inside. Turning on the cold water, the Uzumaki splashed it on his face before turning it off. Though it did nothing to help him relax, still feeling the burning anger, the roaring hatred. That, that bastard dared to keep his parents from him until he felt that he was "Mature Enough"! To know why he was hated for something he didn't even know about yet had every right to know about since the village had started becoming hostile towards him!
'He should be grateful to still be breathing!' Naruto thought, gritting his teeth as he punched the mirror, not even caring about the pain in his hand before he looked up at his reflection in the broken mirror, only to be shocked by what he saw.
His hair was now jet black while being spikier than it was just moments ago, his whisker-marks now darker and more feral looking, with his eyelids now having a dark marking that circled around them. His skin tone now being much paler, not as bad as Orochimaru's greyish-white skin tone but still looking as though he went a few years without seeing sunlight. But the most shocking part were his eyes, themselves. Which were now crimson red with a single tomoe circling around his now narrow, slit pupils.
'Sharingan?! But…how…' Naruto thought only to scowl as he wondered if this was another secret the Hokage kept from him, one he intended to keep hidden.
"Tell me, what will you do once you become a Ninja?"
"I find it very interesting to watch things in motion. I get no pleasure when the world is still. Like a windmill that isn't turn, I suppose some might find it beautiful even if it's immobile. But to me, such a thing is truly boring."
"So perhaps you will set things in motion, Naruto. Maybe you will keep the windmill moving, no matter who tries to stop it. Either way, I'm sure it will be interesting to see what you will do. What you will be capable of."
Remembering what Orochimaru asked him the other day, about what he'd do once he became a Ninja. Looking at his reflection, Naruto felt he now had an answer to what he wanted to do and what he was going to do to anyone that gets in his way.
"I'm gonna burn it down, all of it." Naruto swore, planning to not just put the windmill in motion but to see to it that it was burnt to ash.
Konoha and the Hidden Village system as a whole, it was nothing more than a failed experiment created by a naïve idealist and realist who was able to see the nightmare that their shared dream would one day become. The Will of Fire, he will see to it that it's snuffed out and exposed as the lie it really is. He will send the Elemental Nations back to the chaos of the Warring States Period, an era where such lies and hypocrisy can never hope to exist. Where the only things that truly matter are one's skill, power, resolve to get stronger, and will to survive.
And anyone that gets in his way…will die alongside the Yondaime Hokage.
So, what did you think, good. Yep we see Miu having dinner with her family, only for things to take a turn when Dan mentions Iruka coming to his office about Naruto. With Miu defending him, much to Tsunade's annoyance as we see she's not as fond of Naruto as she is in canon. Not liking how he treats her daughter despite her being nothing but nice to him, nor liking how Miu constantly takes his side. While Miu refuses to be like everyone else and treat Naruto like a monster or that he doesn't exist, wanting to show him someone does care.
With us getting a flashback of how Miu's relationship with her parents began deteriorating, when Dan tells her about Naruto. Making Miu believe he could help her befriend Naruto, only for Dan to reveal he can't believing it'd be showing favoritism, which he doesn't want to do. While Miu is left confused given how she's always told everyone in Konoha is family, yet no one treats Naruto like family, not even her father. Leading to Miu growing disillusioned with the belief as well, along with trying even harder to befriend Naruto.
As we then see the next day with Miu beginning to rebel against her parents and the expectations placed on her, starting with a new outfit no one would expect the daughter of a Kage to wear. Being especially pleased when it gets a reaction out of Naruto, believing she'll start making progress in getting close to him. Along with showing Naruto passing the Graduation Exam along with Miu, only to be summoned to the Hokage's Office afterwards.
Where a very big change happens when Dan reveals the knowledge of the Kyūbi and his parents to Naruto, believing he's now mature enough to handle with the information with how much he's improved in the Academy and now becoming a Genin. Unaware that despite his good intentions, he's now burned any remaining or possible bridges Naruto has connecting him to Konoha.
Finally we see Naruto rushing back to his apartment where he lets out all the rage, anger and hatred at the knowledge of why he was hated of who his parents are and Dan believing it was his choice decide when he was "mature enough" to know who his parents are and about the Kyūbi. As Naruto fully gives in to his hatred, causing a physical change in his appearance, along with, shockingly, awakening the Sharingan (once more going with the idea Asura's Transmigrants have the potential to awaken it).
As Naruto now vows to burn Konoha and the Hidden Village System to the ground, to return the Elemental Nations to what they once were during the Warring States Period, where the lies and hypocrisy he's dealt with no longer exist. And that anyone who gets in his way will die alongside Dan. So, for those that like the story, thanks for your support. For those that don't or at least don't like the direction taken, you're more than welcomed to drop the story. But thanks for giving the story a chance anyway.
Storm out
