This this is a Re-write and Re-Telling of the Sonic Forces video game in a darker and dramatic way. Putting the story exactly where it needed to be. This is a Tale of the Resistance and their turmoil of a ruined world after the events of the attack in Metropolis City when their only hero gets taken away.

WARNING/DISCLAIMER! This is written with TEENS to ADULTS IN MIND. Bad Language is UNCENSORED.
In Context: Tails in this story is 16 yrs old. With that in mind. Sonic and everyone else are in their mid-twenties close to thirties. Reason for that is due to the tone of the story is Suspenseful Drama, Violence and Language. But don't worry they don't swear. Worst thing to come out of them is Damn. But... the OC's? Get ready to see that F-word quite a bit.
The Story is Drama first, Suspense and Action. In that order.
Another thing is that there aren't any Wisps elemental weapons of power. The weaponry is typical weapons used in military. Knives, Pistols, Assault Rifles, Sniper Rifles, and Shotguns.
Same goes for Super Powers. Sonic and Friends are still intact. Sonic super-fast, Tails can fly... etc, etc, but the OC's don't. They are just average nobodies trying to make a difference.

Chapter 4: Sonic's Request
Part 8: You Want Us To What?
Late at night in the Resistance Hospital, Sonic is asleep, but is able to hear the sound of beeping from the hospital equipment.
Beep! Beep! Beep! Bweep! Bweeoomph! Meewoomph! Mwoomph!
'Till they become muffled and silent.
And with a sudden jolt, he awakens with the sound of a metallic sound echoing all around him. Attempting to move his hands, they were strapped onto his bed with metal handcuffs as they clang against the metal bars. "What?" His eyes then go down his un-bandaged scarred legs that were also restrained in place barely able to move them. "Huh? …Wha?" He looks up at a single light beaming over him as everything around him is shrouded in darkness. He pulls, struggling to take them off, while confused as to what's going on. He hears metallic scraping and pounding that echoes all around him. "I-I remember that sound. Am I back? I can't be back. I…I was saved."
"DID YA THINK YOU COULD ESCAPE FROM ME?" A familiar, menacing metallic voice is heard from within the darkness.
In terror, he couldn't believe that the voice belonged to the Warden from the prison; he begins to panic, breathing heavily. "Wha?! No! I-I destroyed you…!"
The Warden laughs menacingly all around him, "Were you asleep again? You know what the punishment is for sleeping!" From the darkness, he comes into view revealing his disfigured bullet ridden face that twitches as sparks fly out of it. The Warden whips out a knife and slowly caresses Sonic's legs with it. "Guess I have to remind you again."
Sonic's eyes widen in fear as he looks at his legs being touched by the knife. "No… I-I wasn't. I wasn't-"
The Warden raises the knife up and brings it down, plunging it into one of them.
"NOOOO-!" He jolts awake in a sweat, finding himself in the darkness of his room, forgetting where he is. Panicking, he frantically looks everywhere in the darkness rubbing his legs as he slowly remembers where he is, feeling the need to say over and over, "I'm safe… I'm safe now… safe… safe… I'm safe… I'm safe… now." Calming down, he lies back down and tries to go back to sleep. "…I'm safe," he whispers out.
A couple of days go by, and Sonic is still on his hospital bed. He realized something, but wasn't sure about mentioning it until now. He looks at Amy and the nurse and asks, "Can you bring Knuckles here for a sec? I need to talk to him about something." The nurse accepts his request and leaves to find Knuckles.
Amy then turns to look at Sonic wondering what it could possibly be.
A few moments later, the Nurse returns with Knuckles, Silver, and a Field Receptionist who just happened to be with them at the time.
The Dalmatian Receptionist stands there with her clipboard in hand as she looks directly at Sonic with a smile.
He does the same, remembering who she is. His eyes go to her name tag on her uniform stating: Trish Reviera.
Amy gets up and walks to Knuckles' side and warns, "You're not going to believe what he's about to say." She turns and faces Sonic.
Knuckles looks at her before turning his gaze to Sonic in concern and asks, "What is it?"
Sonic cautiously hesitates as he answers, "I uhh… want you to go find Robotnik annnnd if he's in trouble… rescue him… and bring him back here."
All three of them remained silent and in disbelief for seconds, except for Amy. She looks at Knuckles' expression of disbelief. "Told you," she says.
Infuriated, Knuckles shouts at Sonic, while Silver holds him back with his psychic powers, "WHAT?! You want us to… WHAT?! …WHAT?! After everything he's DONE… you want US to find him and RESCUE HIM?! …WHAT?!"
Sonic nods. "Yup, that's exactly what I said. Think about it, Knucks. It's been days since I got here… right? Don't you find it odd that there hasn't been a peep from him? That ego maniac has too big of an ego to ever be kept quiet. My hunch is that he's in trouble out there somewhere. Can you look for him?"
Knuckles glaring to Sonic with clenched fist, he turns to Silver ordering, "Let me go… I'm not going to kill… I mean… hurt him. …Yet."
Silver, not believing him, he gently drags Knuckles away from Sonic as his shoes squeal across the floor. Once at a good safe distance, he places him right back next to where Amy still stands.
Turning his attention to Amy and Silver, Knuckles takes a deep breath and tries to calm down. "Someone… say something… 'now'… before I go and punch him in the face," he warns them.
Amy agrees, trying to calm him down, "He has a point. What if Robotnik is in trouble?"
Silver also agrees, "Sure, Robotnik is the cause of all this. That's true. But, if we find and save him, he can tell us how to take down the monster that put Sonic on that bed. Robotnik can help us."
Knuckles' anger slowly subsides and he mutters, "Ok." He turns to Sonic. "We'll send a search and rescue, BUT if we do find him-" He looks at Silver and then back to Sonic with his fist out, waving it at them both. "YOU KEEP HIM AWAY FROM ME! GOT IT?!"
"Alright," Silver and Sonic answer back worried.
Calming down after his outburst, he asks Sonic, "Where do we start looking? Do you have any ideas?"
"That's easy. Where it all started between the two of us. Green Hills. Check there first," Sonic answers.
Knuckles nods and turns to Amy and Silver, taking any suggestions or ideas. "All of our squads are doing important things at the moment and I know for sure-" He points to Amy. "That Amy isn't going to want to leave Sonic's side."
Amy smiles, appreciating his thoughtfulness.
He then continues on to say, "Silver…"
Silver smiles hoping to-
"I need you here," Knuckles orders.
Silver slumps his shoulders. "Fine…" he utters in disappointment.
"Soooo… how are we doing this?" Knuckles crosses his arms. "Just need a small group to search areas. Can't send major squads to check pointless-"
"I know who you can send," Trish interrupts with an idea. "I know the perfect small group for you to send. I'll go talk to them and get things ready so that you don't have to."
He nods, "Sounds good but since it's your idea, then you're going to go along with them," Knuckles orders her.
"Uh… what?" she asks, nearly dropping her clipboard.
Knuckles then claps his hands together. "Great, that's done. You're all dismissed." Everyone goes their separate ways, but Knuckles stares right at Sonic for a couple of seconds before finally leaving the room.
"Yeesh… he was going to punch my lights out, wasn't he?" Sonic asks, with eyes still at the door.
"He definitely was," Amy answers.
Exiting out of the Hospital, Trish saunters across the training field surprised that she needs to go along with them. "Me… go? Dammit," she mutters to herself. 'I have never set foot out of this base ever since I've arrived. I always felt safe being behind these protective walls. I even made sure Zander remained here too no matter what… but now… Dammit. Now I have to go. No choice but to go on this recon mission.'
Approaching who she was planning on talking to, she taps him on the shoulder.
Barnett turns and greets her with a smile, "Good day Trish, what is it now?"
"I… have an assignment for you and your squad," she says back with a smile.
Once he hears the word squad, he loses his smile and shakes his head. "They're not a squad, so whatever you have planned, it's-"
"Fine - recruits," she interrupts him, correcting herself. "It's a recon assignment to check a couple of areas. Nothing too dangerous. Think of it as a personal field trip away from this place," she says as she hands him a single piece of paper again.
He takes it and looks at it. After looking at the small amount of information on it he gives her an annoyed look. "You're going to explain all of it to me again, aren't you?"
She smiles, raising a finger up. "Even better, I'll explain all of it along the way with you as we all go from place to place."
Barnett sighs, "Alright, I'll go… get them ready, they'll pack their things and we'll be good to go," he agrees and walks away towards his recruits.
Trish heads towards her own barracks to change into something better and to get ready as well.
An hour later, the aircraft was ready to take them to Green Hills. Everyone approaches the aircraft.
Eddie cautiously enters first. "Umm… shouldn't we have weapons in case some-" Edward shoves him into it.
"It's a stupid recon mission, you chicken shit," Edward mocks.
"YOU'RE THE CHICKEN SHIT!" Eddie shouts back, jumping on him as they fight again within the aircraft.
Lance goes in next with handcuffs ready.
"OKAY- OKAY, SORRY!" one of the twins shouts.
POS enters next with Trish right behind him along with Barnett… but stops before entering, looking around with concern across his face. He takes a deep breath and enters.
The aircraft hovers off of the ground and heads towards Green Hills.
Part 9: Under My Watch…
The Resistance aircraft lands on a flat piece of land in Green Hills. Everyone exits out as POS asks Trish while looking around, "So what exactly are we looking for?"
She hesitates to answer, "Umm, we're… we're looking for a weird anomaly in the area," she looks at her tracking device. "This should point us right to it."
"Oh, really? Then mission success," Edward says.
"Excuse me? Success?" Trish asks, confused looking away from her tracker.
Edward nods with a shit eating grin on his face, "Yeah; just point it that way and you'll find that weird anomaly."
Trish aims it to where he's pointing to, but ends up pointing it to Eddie instead.
"See? Isn't that the weirdest anomaly you've ever seen?" he asks again, trying not to laugh while looking at Eddie who was seething.
All Eddie did in return was give the finger as Lance stood behind him shaking his head at Edward.
Barnett sighs, "Let's get this over with so we can leave. Which way are we going?"
She points the tracker in the right direction, "It's pointing that way… by a lot."
"Alright." He turns to his recruits and orders, "Line up! We're moving out!" All four of them line up in formation ready to go. He turns back to her. "You lead and we'll follow."
Barnett and his recruits march as they follow Trish around Green Hills. Down a hill, up a hill, back down a hill and through a cave. Exiting out of the cave they go right back up a hill to… to…-
All of them stop to look up, puzzled and confused.
"What the heck?" Edward asks, unsure how to deal with what they were looking at.
"A loop? How are we… just… how?" Eddie questions, trying to figure out on how to even attempt it.
POS, smiles impressed, remembering Sonic and what he does in Green Hills. "Damn… I know he's fast, but… wow…"
Barnett refuses to attempt it, shaking his head. He declares, "The heck with that - we're going around it."
After going around the impossible loop, they continue going up the hill…
But Trish was distracted on tracker about to reach the very top, just as she feels the back of her uniform being grabbed and pulled right back behind the hilltop.
Startled by it, she looks over to Barnett with a single finger over his muzzle. He then points over the hill.
Unsure why, Trish cautiously looks over and so does everyone else only to see large grassy landscape roaming with hundreds of robots.
POS says concerned, "Woah… that's a lot of robots."
Trish shakes her head. "No. Absolutely not. We are not going that way… but the tracker is pointing that way."
Eddie asks, "Is it me, or… are they looking for something?"
Hearing Eddies question, Barnett looks over to Trish noticing that she's ignoring his question. Narrowing his eyes to her, he then asks, "What are we looking for again?"
"It's an… an energy source," She fearfully answers.
"Then we're going to have to go around." Barnett suggests pointing to a forest line that safely circles around.
Sneaking from tree to tree, bush to bush, they finally get closer to the area indicated on the tracker.
Getting even closer, a couple of bushes shake, trying to scare them. "Who goes there?" A robotic voice demands coming out of the bushes, scaring Edward.
"I'm armed and ready to kill!" Edward warns back.
"Please don't." Another robotic voice is heard. A pair of robotic hands spring out of the bushes waving white flags.
Trish hides behind Barnett as he says, "Come out, we're not going to hurt you."
"Promise?" The voice speaks out again.
"Yes! Get out here!" Barnett orders.
Out of the bushes come two robots still holding onto the white flags. "Hi… no hurting… remember?" a red orb robot says.
Barnett looks at Trish and sighs, "Names?" Barnett asks, knowing he's going to regret it.
The red orb robot answers, "I'm Orbot and he's Cubot."
"Yeah- yeah, come this way quick," Cubot says, leading the way to a cave.
Trish approaches the cave then enters with no hesitation, following Orbot. Barnett stops at the entrance and turns to POS informing, "Me and Trish are going into the cave, so I'm depending on you to be in charge out here for a bit. Got it?"
POS, with his mouth slightly open in shock, happy with what he just heard, he mumbles, "Yes… sir." While behind Eddie and Edward are fighting again while Lance is just staring at them. Barnett then enters the cave, but POS still stands there happy at the entrance of the cave with his tail wagging. He mumbles again happily, "He… he… he depends on me."
Barnett and Trish venture into the cave, passing two doors along the way. Orbot opens the final door. Both robots enter the room and so does Trish. She then quickly stops, and looks straight forward.
Once Barnett enters, he looks around, seeing electrical equipment scattered everywhere and large electrical cables. He looks at Trish and sees her with a concerned expression on her face. He turns to see what she's looking at in disbelief… he sees Robotnik in a tube on stasis. Barnett stared, his fist now clenched.
Orbot begins to speak looking at Robotnik, "Infinite hurt him. He was going to put a fail-safe onto him to keep him from becoming too powerful and get out of hand. But Infinite retaliated and hurt him. We got him here and put him in this stasis tube to kee… ke… keep him alive. Power breakers have been going out recently; anymore, and the power will be out for good." As Orbot explains, he gets closer and closer to Barnett. "There won't be any way to power the tube anymore. He'll die in a matter of hours."
Barnett continues to stare with pure hatred in his eyes then Orbot touches his hand and says, "Please save him."
Feeling his hand being touched, Barnett's eyes then go down to Orbot. He pulls his hand away, taking a step back. Enraged, his eyes then go to Trish. Not saying a word, he turns and storms out.
Trish seeing him barge out she chases right after him. "Barnett… BARNETT!" she yells out.
Barnett turns to face her, furious, and points at her, "YOU KNEW ABOUT THIS!"
Shocked by his reaction, she explains, "Yes I did. I couldn't say why because I knew this was going to happen but we need him alive-"
"SHUT UP!" he interrupts her. "YOU want ME… to save the person who is the cause of ALL THIS? It's all his DAMN fault why things are the way they are. Why the world turned to shit. YOU want ME to save the person who is the reason why my only son died, UNDER MY WATCH!"
He yells so loud that everyone outside heard him. Eddie and Edward quickly stop fighting turning to the caves entrance.
POS, worried by it, "Damn… what the heck is going on in there?"
Barnett stood there, quietly depressed about what he just confessed about. "You… want me… to save him? The man who caused all of this torment to me?"
Trish walks up to him as a tear goes down her face, understanding why he doesn't want a squad. She now knew who was on that picture frame in his sleeping quarters. Trying not to get overly emotional she requests, "Yes… we need him to set things right again. We need the information that he knows about that monster that's called Infinite. Please, Barnett. Please."
Unable to even look at her as seconds go, trying to not break down, he declares, "Alright, but you keep him far away from me or you're going to need the entire Resistance to pry my hands off his damn neck."
Outside everyone gets ready, preparing an aircraft to come for pick-up as Orbot and Cubot, with most of the help from Lance, haul the stasis tube out.
"Oh shit… it really is him. It's Robotnik," POS says, staring at the tube coming out of the cave.
Everyone gets into position and as Barnett holds the flare gun in his hand, it dawns on him what will happen if he fires it. Hundreds of robots would swarm the place. He just stands there looking at the flare as everyone looks at him wondering why… but Trish… she knew. She recognized 'The Look' he was giving off.
'I have to snap him out of it… call out to him.' She pleads, "Barnett? Barnett… please look at me."
Barnett looks at her, scared.
"It's going to be alright. You're not going to be shot in the gut. Everything is going to be alright," she says, trying to calm him down.
He looks at her and blinks. He takes a deep breath, points the flare gun into the air, and fires.
Everyone watches as the flare flies high into the sky. Seconds later, miles away in the distance… another flare gets fired into the sky.
"They saw it," Edward says.
Trish warns, "It should take around ten minutes for them to get here… maybe more."
Orbot and Cubot exit out of the cave with laser rifles and pistols for everyone to arm themselves with.
Cubot hands a laser rifle to Edward and then heads to Eddie to do the same.
Edward looks down to it in his hands slowly becoming worried. He turns to his brother. "Are… are we really doing this?"
"You're not s-scared… are you?" he says back trying to remain calm.
Barnett points at them both, "Eddie, Edward… get behind those three crates and shoot at whatever comes over that hill top."
They both head to the crates and get ready. Edward pats his brother on the back. "We got this. Everything is going to be fine… We got this."
Barnett then orders, "POS, you and the… this bot…-" he hesitates, forgetting the yellow robot's name.
"That's Cubot, Sir," the robot salutes.
He was surprised by the salute; in all of his days in military service, he never thought that a robot would ever salute him. He nods and goes back to ordering, "Cubot… right. Both of you stay close to the pod and keep it safe from whatever comes from the right side."
"Yes sir," they both answer back and head to the pod.
Heading to the pod, Cubot then mentions, "POS? …Isn't that an acronym for-"
"It's my initials," POS quickly corrects him.
"Lance, you stay right here with Trish and keep her safe." He then slightly narrows his eyes at her, mad about the situation. "You… stay right next to him at all times."
She nods right back, accepting the order.
He then turns to Orbot. "And you, you're coming with me."
They brace themselves and wait, as the silence starts to be taken over by the sound of incoming robots. As it gets louder, Barnett begins to announce when to fire. "Ready… Aim… FIRE!" Barnett yells out as an all-out miniature war begins of non-stop laser fire.
Eddie fires his laser while Edward fires his. Slowly inch by inch, they get closer to each other to keep each other safe, shooting ahead of the field at whatever comes over the hills.
POS remains next to the stasis tube while Cubot tries to keep them both safe, firing at whatever comes from the right side.
Lance is glaring and firing, staying close to Trish who is also firing a pistol, staying low to the ground. She gets up slightly, only for Lance to place his hand on her head to keep her down.
He looks at her. "Stay… down," a deep raspy voice comes out of him. She looks at him and nods in acknowledgement.
Eddie aims and fires, hitting one of the robots in the head causing it to explode. "HELL YEAH! Did you… see…" But, its headless body still marches forward towards them. Panicking from the sight of it, he warns, "How the fuck do you take them down?"
Hearing Eddies concern, Barnett notices that they are O-series robots, and knew that their weak point was their waist. He quickly shouts, "AIM FOR THEIR WAIST! AIM FOR THEIR WAIST!" A giant robot comes from his left side as it knocks him down, making him lose his rifle.
"GAH!" Trying to reach the rifle as the robot prepares to shoot him, Orbot picks it up and fires, stunning it. He informs him about the model type, "For G-series robots, aim for the top right chest plate."
"Thanks," he says quickly, taking the rifle away and keeps on firing to finish it off.
More and more robots approach over the hill as Eddie and Edward are becoming overwhelmed by them. They keep shooting frantically until, "Gaaaahhh!" Eddie shouts as he gets hit slightly in the arm.
"Shitshitshit," he says as he goes into cover holding his arm that's burning from the laser shot.
"NO… Fucking too many of them!" Edward warns.
"We're running out of energy sir! Can't… too many…!" POS warns as a robot appears by his side about to shoot him, but quickly gets taken out, making him flinch. POS looks around seeing that it was Lance that got it.
"PROTECT THE TUBE AT ALL COSTS!" shouts Barnett.
From the sky, the aircraft flew in quickly, firing from its turrets, destroying every robot it could. The aircraft hovers close to the ground for them to get into it. The pilot warns them from the speakers, "HURRY! GET ON! THERE'S A SHIT LOAD OF THEM COMING!"
"GO, GO, GO!" Barnett orders. Lance gets into position pulling with all his might to get the Stasis Tube into the aircraft as fast as he can.
Trish runs in and so does Orbot and Cubot.
Eddie, Edward start to board but as POS and Barnett step onto the bay door, the aircraft shifts to fire at robots coming from the left. POS loses his footing and slips off of the bay door, colliding with Barnett. They both go flying right back out, hitting the ground.
Edward rushes to the cockpit door pounding on it as he shouts at the pilot, "NOOOO! TURN BACK! TURN BACK!"
Lance and Eddie rush to the open bay door reaching out to grab one of them. "MY HAND! GRAB IT!" Eddie shouts with his arm out to grab one of them.
Barnett gestures to POS to reach out to Edward's hand.
POS nods in agreement but instead, shoves Barnett so he is grabbed by Lance, and gets pulled into the aircraft to be safe. POS then goes into hiding, waiting for the right moment to make his escape. More and more robots close in; the aircraft sways back to the right, firing at more of the incoming robots.
Just as the robots are about to be on top of him, he makes a quick dash to the open bay door. "GO! GO!" shouts POS, jumping into it.
Everyone then fires towards the exit, keeping the robots out who are trying to climb in. POS lies on his back as laser fire flies right over him; he kicks the button to shut the bay door. While it closes, one of the robots gets crushed by it.
"GO, GO, GO!" Barnett shouts to leave as everyone can hear the aircraft being hit from the outside. As the aircraft quickly lifts off, they watch as hundreds of robots approach the very same spot they were at seconds ago.
The speakers activate as the aircraft pilot says concerned, "Is everyone alright back there? Damn… that was nuts."
POS breathes heavily as he sits looking at the laser rifle in his hands, out of energy.
Everyone answers and gestures back in their own way, saying that they're okay. For the rest of the flight back, they remained silent.
Back at the Resistance Base H.Q, Knuckles is talking to Vector and Silver as the Nurse caring for Sonic interrupts him.
"Is something wrong, nurse?" Knuckles asks.
"Yes. It's Sonic… again," the Nurse sighs as Vector and Silver laugh.
"What is it with him now?" Knuckles asks annoyed.
"He didn't say. He just kept saying…"
Sonic says in refusal over and over on his bed, "No, no, no, no… uhh… oh yeah." He takes a deep breath and shouts, "NO!"
Unfortunately for Knuckles, he was forced to listen to it all. Clenching his fists, he slowly checks behind himself, seeing Silver with his eyes glowing blue, readying to restrain him.
Sonic continues, "Look, I told you to go find him. Good job. You did it." He gives Knuckles a thumbs up. "What I didn't say WAS TO STICK HIM IN THE SAME ROOM AS ME!" he shouts, pointing at Robotnik's unconscious body at the other side of the room.
The Nurse tries to reason with Sonic, "There's no other bed big enough for him that's available but this one in your room."
He points at the window and complains, "You could've just moved the bed outside… I won't miss it."
Knuckles explains rubbing his head for the headache to go away, "He's in a coma. What's the worst that can happen?"
"Uhh… wake up? Which I'm looking forward to, SO I CAN PUT HIM BACK INTO IT!" Sonic yells, glaring at Robotnik as he waves his fist in the air.
Knuckles was trying so hard not to hurt Sonic. "Just deal with it for now cause it is YOUR FAULT THAT HE'S HERE NOW!" he argues, making sure to have the last word as he turns around and storms out of the room.
The Nurse, seeing Knuckles exit out, she hears Sonic loudly grumbling to himself. Wanting to try calming him down, she asks,"Do… you need any-"
"No. Anything you give me I'm just going to throw it at him." Sonic answers angrily pouting with his arms crossed staring at Robotnik. "So maybe later."
Meanwhile, outside, Barnett is with his recruits. He paces back and forth eyeing all four of them as they stand there quietly in formation. He looks away and stops. He crosses his arms and addresses them about what happened today in an angry yet calm voice.
"Alright… all four of you have shown great team work and bravery under fire… even though the task was never supposed to be dangerous in the first place. We all returned in one piece and also…" He clenches his fist thinking about him. He sighs, shaking his head, "And also with… what the Recon Assignment wanted us to find."
"You mean Dr. Robotnik… sir?" answers Edward.
Barnett shoots him a glare, causing him to regret even saying his name. He looks away, at the hospital building. "Yes… him. Bringing him… here." He looks back to his recruits. "So… with a job well done, you have the rest of the day to relax. So go… get out of here."
"Heck yeah," Edward says.
"To the Mess Hall?" Eddie asks.
"I'm already there," Edward answers back, already heading to it.
As everyone begins to walk away Barnett quickly says, "POS, one second?"
POS stops and answers, "Umm, yes sir?"
He looks at Eddie, Edward and Lance walking away then back to POS and in a stoic tone he says, "Out of all of them, you're the one that I hold in high regard."
POS smiles happily. "Re- really?"
"Yes… but…" He gives him a stern look. "If you… EVER… push me again… I will make you run so many laps… that you will either become as fast as Sonic… or your legs will fall off. …Got it?"
POS loses his smile. "Yes- yes… sir… got it."
"Good. Now get going."
POS turns and heads to the Mess Hall with the others.
Barnett stands there with a stern expression, looking at POS. It quickly goes away as he turns and smiles, heading to his barracks, proud of all of them.
