Late Due to Being Down for 2 days. Thanks.

Forces: Chasing Memories is the 2nd set of chapters. After the dust has settled after the battle with Infinite, everything should've went back to normal, but unfortunately it didn't. Not for a two tailed fox. Unable to come to terms for what Chris has done for his sacrifice, but what if there was a way to bring him back? Luckily for there is, but at what cost?

A MAJOR thanks to the Beta-Reader here on that helped me put this into words and to fix it as much as possible till I felt confident with it. Thanks to...

Forces: Chasing Memories

Chapter 5: Realization

Soaring through the air to their destination over the ocean, Sonic, Tails, and Wally sit in the aircraft waiting room while Zeke plays pretend tour guide on the speakers. "Hello trusty passengers. Thank you for deciding to fly with the Double Z's for your traveling needs… just please ignore the odd sensation if the aircraft seems slightly off center or leaning to the side. That's completely normal."

No choice but to believe in Zeke, Wally looks over to Tails noticing how concerned he is, which in return causes himself to be concerned. "Umm… you're a pilot… right? Is it normal to be flying like this?"

Tails wearily shakes his head, "No… that's not normal at all."

Continuing on the speakers, he informs, "Now if you look to the left out the windows, you'll see some water. On the right, you'll also see water. But if you look again to the left, you'll see some more amazing wa…ter… Huh? Oh… OH FUCK!" The speaker abruptly cuts off as everyone feels the sudden pull of the aircraft turning right, causing things to fly off the shelves.

Unfortunately… being asleep, Sonic also goes flying off his seat, landing on the floor and rolls, ending with a collision with the wall. "Oww… What happened… did we crash?" he mutters in a painful daze.

The speakers activate again, "Umm… sorry about that. Forgot about the forest. We'll be there in a second."

"Geez… didn't know… this flight was going to be bad for my health."

With a huge smile on his face, Tails watches Sonic groggily moan in pain, trying to get back onto his seat. "Now, are you going to put your seatbelt on?"

Sonic mocks back, making fun of his voice, "Now are you going to put your seatbelt on?" He sits back down, clipping his seatbelt on and tries to relax.

Wally tries so hard not to laugh at Sonic as Tails makes fun of him. 'The way they treat each other… kind of like… as if they're related? Brothers?' His head begins to hurt as he places his hand to it. A memory of a pink hedgehog appears sitting in a hospital bed. 'Who was that?' He looks over to Sonic taking a nap.

Noticing Tails stretch out his leg, he then adjusts his bandage on his thigh. Once he finishes, he looks up to Wally, then quickly looks away. 'Again… that's like the 5th time. Why?' He then looks at both of them and asks, "So… how did you guys manage to find me at Nue Heaven?"

"Your tracking device. It was activated," Tails answers.

"Activated?" Remembering about the little device at Molly's place, He goes through his pocket taking it out and shows it to him. "This?"

He looks at it and smiles soon after answering, "That's it. That's what led us to find you." Tails takes out his tracker, showing it to him.

Looking at it Wally sees three colored dots on it. "All three of us have a device on us?"

"Yup, I'll be able to pinpoint our location at any time."

"Really?" Wally says looking at his lit up device. He then puts it right back into his pocket.

Landing safely on a landing strip, everyone exits out of the aircraft.

Sonic yawns and starts stretching before asking, "Are we even close to the spot that we need to check?"

"Not even close. It's still a long walk from where we need to go," Tails answers looking at his locator.

Zeke was looking down, slightly confused and then back up to all of them. "This is as close as I can get you guys," he mentions then looks back down again.

"On foot it's going to take a while for us to reach the spot. Forty minutes at least," Tails informs.

Zeke, still looking down, turns his gaze to Tails confused, "On foot? What about that truck?"

Wally gets concerned, hoping it's not what he means. "Wait… what?"

"That busted up truck that you drove." Zeke points to the aircraft. "I put it into the craft. Isn't that why you brought it?"

"Hah! Sweet," Sonic pats Wally in the back. "No need for you to walk now."

Wally groans. "Forget about being safe at the base."

"Now get going and don't take too long… I'm on a bit of a… curfew," Zeke says nervously.

Sonic snickers, "A curfew? He has you on a curfew?"

Ashamed and also annoyed about it, he informs, "Yeah, and it's one I don't want to break. You think Trish is bad when she gets pissed? Zander is almost just as bad." He looks back down again.

"What did you do to get that to happen?" Tails asks.

Zeke shamefully answers without looking at them, "Umm… I kinda… had a couple of whoopsies with some of the crafts."

" Puh- Plural? Whoopsies?" Wally asks, alarmed.

"How many?" Sonic adds surprised.

"About… six," Zeke cautiously answers and looks back seeing their stunned reactions. "What?" He point at the aircraft. "Flying that thing is a lot harder than flying a fighter plane. Geez… Even Zander never lets me hear the end of it. Just because I accidently fu…-" He quickly stops himself from swearing and looks down. "Umm… I mean, messed up… a couple planes, I get grounded for it."

Sonic was in shock. "You flew us."

"Well you're here, right?" Zeke had to reassure Sonic.

"Over the ocean," Sonic adds, concerned.

Irritated by his tone, he tries to reassure him again calmly, "Again… You're here… safe." Zeke then points annoyed at the busted up truck. "So get going, you four better get back quick."

All three of them stare back confused as Tails asks, "Four of us?"

Wally eyes quickly widen in disbelief and he looks down to his side. "No!"

Sonic also does the same, seeing a kid standing right next to Wally. "Wow… neat trick. How'd you do that?"

Upset, Wally grabs a hold of Peanut and storms back to the aircraft. "Don't you even think about it."

"Aww, c'mon Wally," Peanut pleads.

"Nope, I don't think so. This is something you don't want to be a part of." He puts him down next to the main entrance of the aircraft. "So you stay right here."

Sonic begins to chuckle while saying, "Reminds me of how I used to be when-"

Wally shoots him a glare and demands back, "Don't encourage him." He walks to the truck, points back to Peanut and shouts, "STAY!"

Peanut pouts, watching them get on the truck and drive away.

Zeke stands next to Peanut and playfully laughs as he says, "He's just looking out for you."

As Wally drives to their destination, Tails sits in the passenger seat while Sonic sits on the cargo bed. It was silent between everyone, but while Wally drives… from the corner of his eye… he catches Tails looking at him. Slightly getting annoyed, he asks, "Like I told Sonic… Will you stop looking at me?"

Ashamed of being caught, Tails quickly apologizes. "Sorry." He then asks, "Are you doing alright?"

Wally taps on the steering wheel and answers. "How would you feel… if everyone looked at you like they know you, but you can't do the same back to them?"

"I'd be feeling like you right now, but sooner or later you'll remember everyone again."

He shakes his head. "That's the problem. By the end of it, I'm not the one that's going to be doing it."

"Whatever he said probably isn't even true. He was just trying to scare you," Tails says back.

"Yeah, that's what bad guys do," Sonic says in the back. "They get into your head. Make you worry. What matters right now at this very moment is that you're here doing it."

Wally just kept looking forward.

"He's right. What matters now is making the best of whatever is ahead of you. We're not the ones forcing you to be here… or did we?" Tails asks.

Wally shakes his head. "No. I decided to go on my own. To find the part of myself that's missing; the person that everyone's looking for."

"YEAH! That's the spirit." Sonic stands up on top of the cargo bed. "Now let's go kick some BOA butt."

Tails points to the side of the road. "We're almost there too. It's right next to those trees."

Wally pulls over to the side of the road and parks near a couple of trees.

They get out of the truck and look at the forest. As Sonic and Tails make their way towards the forest… Sonic stops and pokes Tails' shoulder to get his attention.

Tails looks away from his tracker and sees Sonic pointing back to Wally with a smile.

They both watch Wally covering the truck with massive leaves and anything he can get his hands on to hide it. Sonic smirks. "He really likes that truck."

Wally backs off making sure that the truck is safe and hidden.

"You really like that truck of yours," Sonic says.

Wally explains with sadness in his tone, "It's not mine. It belongs to someone that told me to take care of it… I'm making sure that I do." Wally gives the truck one last look and walks away with Sonic and Tails into the forest.

Sneaking into the dense forest, Tails keeps track of their location, making sure not to lose where they are. The deeper they go into the forest, the harder it gets not to get confused where they were going.

Deeper and deeper, to them it felt as if they were shrinking within the forest as the trees tower over them about to engulf them.

Wally lets out a groan of discomfort. "Is Chris… claustrophobic?"

Tails answers, being unsure, "Not that I know of."

Sonic complains as he pushes branches and anything out of his way, "From this? Geez… anyone would if they have to deal with- Gah-!" A branch smacks him in the face. "This is the worst. Why couldn't they have their base at Green Hills?"

They remain close together until Tails sees something odd. "Is that it?" Tails asks. A building that could barely be seen was just ahead of them. It was perfectly camouflaged within the forest. "That's it, we've found it," Tails says again, looking at a small building with about ten BOA soldiers walking around. He puts down the location on his tracking device. "Wow… It's no wonder why the Resistance can't find them. We were about to walk right by them."

Sonic stretches and says looking at Tails. "I'll go check around and see how well armed they are."

Tails nods, agreeing.

Wally just stood there with his arms crossed, watching them as Sonic lifts his fist up to Tails.

Tails acknowledging it, also raising his fist up and connects with it, doing a fist bump.

Sonic then quickly speeds off while Wally just stands there silently staring out into nothing, as memories swarm into his mind. He slowly uncrosses his arms and clenches his right hand into a fist and holds it out to himself.

Looking down to his fist, he remembers holding it out… and at the end of it, violet particles emerge, creating a vision of Tails right in front him… and every time, Tails looks at his fist and either just walks away from it or ignores it fading away into violet particles over… and over… and over again, until… Tails reappears and just stands there with his head down.

Tails looks up at him wiping his tears away. He raises his fist and finally gives Wally a fist bump.

Once Tails connects, Wally then sees his fist bursting into particles. It runs up along his arm then throughout his whole body causing him to vanish from sight. He begins to panic, snapping out of it and looking everywhere while breathing heavily. He looks at his hands then on himself checking if everything's alright. After slightly calming down, still trembling from the shock, he turns to Tails and sees him staring back, remaining silent. Tails was concerned about how Wally was reacting knowing exactly why.

"Why?" Wally asks desperately still trying to calm down, "Why you? Why do I see you the most? What do you have to do with Chris?"

Tails, having a difficult time looking at Wally as he tries to confess, "He… he saved me. He stopped me from…" He looks away and stares at the ground. "He stopped me from sacrificing myself. He figured out what I was planning on doing… and he stopped me. I was going to stop Infinite, but Chris… he's the one that sacrificed himself to do it instead." A tear runs down his face. "He saved me… from myself…" He looks right back to Wally. "…and in return, I had to stand there and watch him fade away. That was one of the hardest things I had to deal with. No matter how much I tried… I could never get over it for what he did for me."

Wally just stands there listening to what Tails just said and looks at his fist again. He opens it up and crosses his arms knowing more and more about Chris as time goes by.

Mere seconds later, Sonic comes back excitedly with a smile on his face. "Guess what… they're not armed. None of them are. It's like some weird ammunition building. We can just go in and clean house."

Tails nods and walks to Sonic after giving Wally a depressed glance about what he confessed.

Upon exiting out of there hiding spot from within the forest, they head to the Ammunition Building, but Sonic notices Tails still limping as well as being unhappy. Concerned, he stops and asks, "You doing alright? You can stay back and let us handle this one."

Tails stops to reassure him, "I might not be able to run but my tails are working just fine." He looks at the building. "I just need to get inside there."

"Alright, just as long… as…-" Sonic looks all around him. "Wally?"

They both look back.

"Good luck. Show them whose boss… I'll be rooting for you two," Wally says from a distance hiding.

Sonic looks at Tails then looks back at Wally giving him a smirk.

Seeing the look that he's getting from Sonic, Wally gets concerned. "Shit, I don't like that look."

Sonic rushes to where he is grabbing and dragging him to the Ammunition Building. "Get going. Trust me. It's going to be fun."

Wally complains, "Oh, bullshit. Easy for you to say."

Wally just stood there out in the open, while Sonic and Tails rush into action, attacking everyone in sight. Alarms ring out warning them that they're being attacked. More of them come out to defend themselves. Even though Sonic said that they weren't armed, they did have knives.

But, Sonic just zips back and forth with incredible speed, disarming them and knocking them out with ease.

Unfortunately for Wally, who was just standing around not knowing what to do, one of the soldiers spots him and makes his way to him.

"Oh shit…" Wally mutters worried looking around for a weapon or anything to use. "Crap… stay calm." The soldier gets into a fighting stance and approaches him. "Stay calm." Wally puts his hands up trying not to get hit but it wasn't enough. The soldier does two quick jabs knocking his hands away and then does a hard right hook straight between the eyes making a loud crack in the process.

Everything… goes… black.

"What's… what's going on? I- I can't see. I can't… Am I… am I dead?" He tries to remain calm shrouded in darkness. Slowly, his vision returns back… but somehow not outside anymore. Looking all around, he asks, "Where am I? How am I in a building… a hallway?" He was standing in a lightly lit hallway of a building. He looks down to himself, "Wha…? What am I wearing?" He notices that he's wearing a black combat vest, black ripped shorts, and weird looking shoes. "Wait… I remember these clothes."

Still hearing ringing in his ears from the punch, he shakes his head for the pain to go away but then hears footsteps echoing ahead of him, making him look up and across the hallway.

Looking ahead, he can see a figure in the dark. Within the darkness, the figure takes a step forward revealing himself and gets into a fighting stance.

"Sonic? Where are we… where am I?"

Sonic gives him an angry stare clenching his fist. "You're going to pay for what you did to her."

Deep inside himself, Wally was beginning to panic… but somehow he knew… it wasn't coming from himself, "What do you mean? What did I… do? …No… what did 'he' do?" Wally asks as he hears the same voice in his head say…

'I didn't do it.'

Sonic shouts back in anger at the voice in his head, "YOU'RE NOT TRICKING ME!" and rushes right at him leaping into the air performing a homing attack directly right at him.

Wally throws himself onto the floor placing his hands over his head, hearing Sonic colliding into the wall with devastating impact. Rolling onto his back he tries to remain calm, but within himself was full of nothing but panic. One look up and he sees Sonic standing over him.

Slowly getting up to his feet, he holds up one hand, "Sonic… listen, whatever he-"

The voice interrupts pleading, 'You have to believe me. I didn't-'

"You're not tricking me," Sonic says, shaking his head. "Just… just stay quiet. …It'll be a lot easier on me… when I do it," Sonic threatens.

Stomach turned with dread, Wally puts his arms up trying to block and dodge his attacks. 'Why is he mad at me?' His head begins to hurt, as memories enter his head. Memories of someone getting shot, getting blamed for it and fighting Sonic. He hears the voice in his mind saying…

'I didn't do it.'

…over and over getting louder. Trying to focus on Sonic, Wally sees him throwing a punch at him.

With instinct taking over… Wally ducks the punch and jabs Sonic in the ribs, then tries to kick him away… but connects to his leg instead.

Sonic yells out in pain and collapses to the floor, rubbing his leg for the pain to stop.

Putting his guard down, Wally looks down concerned noticing that his legs are bandaged, he apologizes, "I'm sorry. Are you okay?"

Sonic looks back up angrily and lunges at him again, throwing yet another punch…

…But Wally… just stands there and does nothing. Nothing at all, but seeing the punch coming. He puts his arms to his sides and all he does is close his eyes as the punch connects to his face.

He opens his eyes, as he staggers back seeing that he's back outside fighting a different soldier. He takes a deep breath and rubbing the side of his face, angry at what just happened. "Son of a… Fuck these memories." He looks at the BOA Soldier frustrated and backs off into a defensive boxing stance, getting ready… getting prepared.

The soldier right shoulder moves, as his arm pulls back…

The voice instructs, 'Sway back…'

Wally sways back away from it…

'Jab his lower right side of his ribs'…

Wally quickly retaliates, jabbing the soldier in the ribs.

The soldier backs off and tries punching again as he sees no movement in the soldiers left shoulder…

'Block his light punch and Jab his lower right side again'…

Wally raises up his left arm, blocking the punch, then hits the soldier in the exact same spot in his ribs.

And with confidence, the voice remains silent allowing Wally to do the rest on his own.

Wally sees his right shoulder move once again, instantly letting him know what's coming next.

The soldier pulls his right arm back unleashing a right hook, but Wally ducks under it and hits him in the ribs, then to the face again to daze the soldier. With a final act, Wally clenches his fist pulling his right arm back, he swings one last time, punching him in the face, knocking him out.

Once it was all over… Wally stood there taking deep breaths, looking down at the unconscious soldier. Hearing a groan to his left, he turns and sees another unconscious soldier. "What the…" He turns to the right, and sees the first soldier that punched him in the face, also unconscious. Then… he completely turned around, seeing another two soldiers the exact same way. In disbelief, it dawned on him. "He did this…-" Wally looks at his hands. "-while I was out cold?" From his hands he looks straight forward, seeing Sonic just standing there, watching what he just did.

Wally stares right back at him and asks, "How is… how is Amy doing, is she ok?"

Sonic smiles and nods, "Yeah, she's doing great."

He looks at his hands again. "Do you still want that second round?"

Sonic smirks back, giving him a thumbs up. "All depends if you still need those shoes."

"To keep up with your speedy ass? …Then yeah," he replies as he looks down at the soldiers again.

Tails cautiously enters the building to examine what's so important about this place. Hearing footsteps down the main hallway, he hides behind a water cooler as dozens of soldiers run past him. Getting out of hiding, he sighs with relief, "That was a close one-"

A soldier stands in front of him.

Tails raises his hands up, ready to fight as the soldier says, "Shit… not you."

Getting a better look at the soldier, Tails notices the bandage across the side of his head. It was the same soldier he fought at Wally's house.

The soldier then backs up against the wall, putting his hand over his crotch and slowly scoots towards the exit with a concerned look. Once at a safe distance, the soldier rushes to the exit.

Tails just smiles, feeling proud of himself, thinking no one would ever be concerned to fight him. He continues on his way.

He enters what appears to be a research room with computers and a table in the center of it. On the table lay three different guns and what looks like a bullet with notes next to it. Tails approaches the bullet and looks at it. The bullet had a purple tint to it. It had a flat bottom and long oval body with shard ridged points at the end.

He looks back at the three guns and picks up the hand gun for a normal nine millimeter round. He loads it into the gun perfectly fine. He then takes it out and sees a sniper rifle. "High caliber round." He looks back down to the table seeing no other bullet for the rifle. He then looks at the bullet he has in his hand and then back to the rifle. "No… can it?"

Picking up the rifle, he looks at the bullet and attempts to put it in… but the bullet expands and morphs perfectly fine into it as well. "What? How is that possible?" He looks back at the hand gun. "What?" Then he looks at the shotgun right next to it. "No… there's no way." He quickly ejects the bullet from the rifle and slowly attempts to load it…

He can feel the bullet morphs into a shell casing in his hand able to be perfectly inserted into the shotgun.

Baffled, he quickly ejects it and places it back down onto the table. While it remains on the table, the bullet slowly reverts back to normal right in front of his eyes.

"This is incredible. How can a bullet be shot from any gun?" He reads through notes about the bullet explaining about it. "Hmm, it's still not perfect. From weapon to weapon it works but firing it still has… what?" He looks at the bullet. "Has problems performing at speeds faster than five thousand?" He shakes his head. "No… are these bullets being made to hit… Sonic? I have to go warn him." He grabs the bullet and rushes out of the building.

Tails quickly flies out of the building heading straight to where Sonic and Wally were. "Sonic, check this out." he says worried as he hands over the bullet to Sonic.

Sonic looks at it and tosses it right back. "It's a bullet. Big deal."

Upset by how uninterested he was from it, he had to talk sense into him. "It's not just ANY bullet. It's a specially MADE bullet."

"So what. No matter what it is, I can still dodge it," Sonic quips back.

"Not this. Not if it moves more than ten times the speed of sound like you do. In other words for you to understand: It won't matter how fast you run. Whoever is making this," he holds up the bullet again, as the sun reflects off of it, "is still going to be able to hit you."

Sonic loses his smile. "So now what? We need to figure out how they're-"

"NO WAY!" Tails shouts surprised, looking at the bullets' purple tint glowing. He raises it to the sun. "IT IS! It's… its purple particles. It's inside the bullet."

"How are they getting their hands on that kind of stuff?" Sonic asks.

"Easy. Who's the only person that can make it in the first place?" he asks back.

They both answer, "Infinite."

Tails turns to look deeper into the forest. "We just have to find where they're located."

Sonic also looks deeper into the forest in concern, now knowing that Infinite is back. "Their base is located and hidden somewhere in the forest."

"H.Q. to Sonic, are you there? This is an emergency. Over?" A resistance responder calls out from his communicator.

He quickly answers back, "Sonic here, what's the emergency?"

"That pilot that flew you over to your destination? He's been shot down trying to fly over the forest. We've lost all traces of him when he crashed somewhere deep into it."

"NOO! SHAWN!" Wally shouts looking deeper into the forest worried.

"I'm on it," Sonic answers and gets ready to rush into the dense forest.

"STOP!" Wally warns Sonic.

Sonic quickly stops. "Why?"

"You can't just run into the forest."

Sonic, eager to run into the forest looking into it, he anxiously asks, "Why not?"

"Why? It's the forest. What do you think is going to happen if you just run into it?"

Tails knowing that it's true, he looks at the bullet in his hand. He also had to warn him. "He's right. You can't run in there. It'll get to the point where everything starts looking the same." He shows him the bullet again. "These bullets aren't perfected yet but if they are now… if you run in there, there's a good chance that you're not coming back out of it."

"Take out your tracker," Wally anxiously says.

"Why?" He wonders, taking it out of his pouch.

"Look for me," he eagerly requests worriedly, looking deeper into the forest.

As he checks their positioning on the tracker, as it didn't make any sense why only two dots were present. "Wha?" His eyes widen in realization as he looks back at Wally, then looks towards the east. "You put it on him."

Wally stares into the forest. "We'll have to be careful stepping in there." He turns back to Sonic and Tails, heavily concerned about Peanut's safety. "That's their territory and their playground." He sighs. "We have to be careful going into the forest and hope that they're okay."

Rewind back to Zeke and Peanut…

Zeke, watching them drive away while he stays behind with his now…

He looks down to the "Miniature Sized Stowaway" that's barely tall enough to go pass his knee being disappointed having to stay behind. 'Guess I have to keep you entertained for a bit.'

He slightly hunches over and taps Peanut on the shoulder to cheer him up. Seeing him look up to him, he points to the aircraft. "I got a couple of board games to play while we wait."

"Sure, why not?" Peanut answers disappointed.

They both head into the aircraft and bring a couple of board games outside. Game after game, Zeke gets beaten every single time. "You're not very good at these kind of games," Peanut mocks.

"You're just picking the games that I suck at playing," he says, annoyed. While they pick up the pieces, putting the game away, Zeke asks, "How did you manage to bump into him?"

Peanut stops to think about it. "Wally? He just showed up in town one day. He didn't know who he was. No family. No friends. Nothing. He just looked lost and lonely. Almost like me… so I just followed him around and stayed around him. Let him know that he's not alone." Once they were done putting the game away, he then asks, "How do you know Wally?"

'Shit… I can't tell him that he was dead.' He tries to come up with an answer without letting him know that he was presumed dead. "Umm, I don't really know him in person, but the guy sure knows how to… well… pop up out of thin air." He then says to change the subject, "Go get another game to play."

Peanut gets up. "Which one do you want to lose at?"

He taps on the table, irritated. "Oh, it's like that, huh? Go get the one with the slides and ladders… NO! The one with the candy."

Peanut heads back to the aircraft, still hearing Zeke from behind, "Get ready to des'click!'tro…"

"Hmm?" Unsure why'd he stopped or what that sound was, he turns around and sees someone standing right behind Zeke pointing a handgun to his head. Zeke slowly raises his hands up while looking at Peanut. "No… Not again," he whimpers.

The BOA soldier motions to Peanut with his finger to come to him and makes Zeke stand up.

Peanut just stands there and just stares back, not moving.

The BOA soldier smacks Zeke over the head with the handgun. "Come here, or for the next one I'll shoot him instead."

Peanut slowly takes a step forward and looks at Zeke, seeing his lips saying, "Look away," and in an instant, he elbows the gun, pushing it away and quickly tackles the soldier to the ground wrestling with the gun. While wrestling on the ground, the soldier manages to punch him in the side of the ribs.

Wincing from the punch, Zeke manages to roll on top of the soldier. He takes a moment to look directly into the soldier's eyes… and then proceeds to head butt the soldier directly in the head knocking him senseless.

"Had enough? Now stop," Zeke warns but the soldier refuses still trying to aim the gun at him. Zeke warns again, "Stop… St… STOP!" Zeke slowly wins the struggle with the gun. Bit by bit, he points it under the soldier's jaw and once under… he pulls the trigger, firing a shot up his jaw and out the back of his head it goes.

Zeke staggers to his feet, breathing heavily. He looks down and grabs the gun off the ground. He checks himself and sees that his white shirt has bits and pieces of the soldier's head on himself and also a big blood splatter along his chest. "Oh shit…" He tries wiping it off, smearing and making it worse. " Oh… son of a…" He stops himself from swearing and remembers about Peanut. He looks to check how he was doing, but Peanut, with his eyes wide open, staring at the BOA soldier's dead body.

Concerned, Zeke asks, "Hey?"

Peanut turns to look at him, not saying anything.

"Are… you alright?"

Peanut just nods warily, not answering.

As Zeke wonders if he came alone, he hears someone next to his aircraft. "Stay behind me."

With Peanut behind him, Zeke slowly walks around the craft to check. Hearing another sound, he sees another BOA soldier messing around with an open hatch. He snarls in anger, causing him to yell out pointing the gun at him as he demands, "GET THE FUCK AWAY FROM MY PLANE!"

The BOA goes for his gun, but Zeke fires a couple of rounds, and ends one in the head.

Zeke runs to see what the soldier just did and steps on gasoline. "Shit, he cut the gas line."

"LOOK! ZEKE LOOK!" Peanut shouts as he points.

Zeke looks and sees even more BOA S.U.V.'s heading their way. "Get onboard. We're leaving now."

"W- WAIT!" Peanut says worried as he desperately asks, "What about Wally?"

"Sonic with him so he's safe, BUT WE'RE NOT! We need to get the hell out of here! So get moving!"

"But-"

Not letting him finish, Zeke grabs him by the shirt with one hand and rushes into the aircraft.

Inside, Zeke rushes into the pilots' cabin and tosses Peanut into one of the seats as he quickly sits down turning on the aircraft. He looks at the gas meter, watching as it slowly empties. 'I can't go the long way. I have to go over the forest.' He looks at the road seeing the BOA get closer and closer. "DAMMIT! STRAP YOURSELF IN!" he warns Peanut, as he puts the aircraft in motion and it slowly gains speed.

They hear gunfire hitting the aircraft. "They're almost right next to us," Peanut warns.

Speeding down the air strip as fast as he can make the aircraft go, they take flight and begin to fly over the forest.

Trying not to be scared, Peanut says, "That was close. They were right next to the plane. Are we safe now?"

Zeke doesn't answer Peanut's question. He was too concerned. He was doing what he shouldn't be doing and that's flying over the forest. He silently chants, "Please don't shoot me… Please don't shoot me. C'mon, c'mon." Mid-way over the forest he sees the ocean. "Yes… c'mon-"

He sees something green fly up into the air. "Aww shit… please don't be a-"

The green shoots out smoke and turns heading his way.

Staring at the missile he whispers, "I'm sorry Zander." He takes a deep breath and braces for impact.

The missile makes contact causing him to lose altitude as Zeke desperately tries to keep the craft up right.

"GiieeeAAAAHHHHH!" Peanut shouts out in panic from behind.

Zeke looks over to Peanut worried and sees that the seat belt restraints aren't even holding him securely onto his seat.

In desperation, Zeke quickly releases the controls, unbuckles himself and faces towards Peanut as the aircraft strikes the first enormous tree.

From the impact, Peanut was sent flying out of his seat and into Zeke's arms, managing to catch him mid-air, but he too was also sent hurtling right back to the controls colliding into them.

The aircraft plows through the enormous tree also colliding with each and every other tree along the way destroying them as it slams to the ground.

Once the craft comes to a stop, Zeke finds himself on the floor with his arms around Peanut safe.

Peanut rises up clutching onto his elbow wincing from it.

Struggling to rise up, Zeke places a hand to his backside hoping not to feel anything out of place or broken. Fortunately, he only had a terrible bruise on his back side along with scratches. He gets up and checks on Peanut. "Are you okay?" he asks.

"Yeah… I'm… I'm okay."

Staggering out, they look around seeing the devastation that the aircraft left behind. But in the distance, something can be heard heading there way. "Shhh, quiet," Zeke says, hearing a vehicle coming their way. "Quick, go hide."

"But what-"

Zeke interrupts him. "Just go. I'll be okay. I'll distract them, so just go."

"B-but-but…"

'I can't move. My back fucking hurts.' He looks down to Peanut and clenches his fist. 'I don't have time to argue. He needs to fucking go NOW.' He grabs ahold of Peanut and demands, "Go or I'll toss you out of here."

Releasing him, Peanut runs off to hide just in time as the BOA army vehicles drive up to the crash. They exit out and all point their guns at him. Zeke just stands there waiting.

One of the soldiers in charge exits out and points his double barreled shotgun at Zeke walking towards him. "Where's the kid?" he orders.

Hidden in a bush, Peanut remained watching remembering who it is. 'I-It's the mean hyena soldier again.'

"I was alone," Zeke answers.

Curtis lowers his shotgun and grins, "Really?" then smacks him over the head with the hilt of the gun, knocking him down. He tosses the shotgun to one of the soldiers as he demands, "GET HIM UP!"

Two BOA soldiers get Zeke up to his feet and hold him in place as Curtis unleashes punch after punch.

Peanut closes his eyes and looks away, covering his ears. 'No Tails… No Sonic… Nobody. Nobody to help.'

Curtis grabs him by the throat in anger and demands, "WHERE IS THE FUCKING KID!"

Zeke stares back with a cut along the side of his head, with blood running down his face from it. He spits blood at Curtis and shouts back, "I WAS ALONE!"

Curtis doesn't even react to the spit. He wipes it off and licks it. "Thank you." He looks at one of the soldiers, giving him a nod.

Zeke looks slightly up seeing Peanut hiding in the bushes as everything goes black getting hit in the back of the head.
