TEXT" -talking through spark bond
The warehouse was untouched since we left all those months ago, oil bins still scattered across the floor from where Bee and Bulkhead came rushing in. Data pads were strewn across the computer console, which was now covered in dust from a piece of the ceiling falling just behind. Without us, this place would have caved in within a year.
Sari had flown home, excited to see her dad and would come by again tomorrow. Without her around, the team was quiet, not even Bee had said anything since coming home.
"Erm, right. Ironhide, I suppose you can take Bulkhead's old room. I'll take you there." Optimus showed Ironhide around, Jazz following close behind.
Ratchet complained of being overly tired and went off to the medical bay like usual, leaving me alone with Bee in the living area.
"Can you believe we're back!" I jumped at how loud he was. Bee threw his arms above his head, grinning but it fell when he looked at me. "What's wrong? You have that look…"
"What look?" I crossed my arms, still unsure of how to feel about us.
"The one Prowl got when he was annoyed with me!" He mimicked my pose in irritation. I knew the look, but I didn't know I'd picked it up.
"S-sorry.."
"I know…I fragged up. I don't know how to make it up to you or Prime or…anyone! But I truly am sorry. I should have listened to everyone, and to my own spark, on what I was doing." I loved how animated he was when he talked. "Please…don't hate me forever?" I couldn't stay mad with the look he was giving me, besides, he'd proven he really was back on our side.
"It's not you I'm mad at." I kept my voice low to keep anyone from overhearing me, Bee leaned closer to hear me. "I…am mad at myself." How do you tell someone you cheated on them when you really didn't?
"Why? You didn't do anything wrong." He put one hand on my shoulder and the other coaxed my hand away from it's crossed position on my chest.
"Sure feels like it…" My spark hurt so much, but I didn't understand why. "I met someone at the ninja academy." Bee wouldn't allow me to shy away, instead moving the hand on my shoulder to my face to make me look at him. I felt my face turning red from embarrassment and shame. "We…interfaced…" Bee's cheeks turned red, but instead of backing away, he smirked and pulled me closer. "What are you…"
"Star, you think I'd be jealous? I mean…you know I've 'faced bots before you, right? Does that upset you?" I shook my head, quietly wondering who it had been. "And we weren't exactly…together then, so it's fine." He put a finger under my chin and tilted my helm towards him. " Tell me, were they at least good?" He purred. I had to look away from his darkening optics, not wanting to answer.
"Has…your gestation port ever opened while interfacing?" I whispered into his audial, hoping no one heard us. He revved, biting his lip to hold back a moan, letting go of me to cover his mouth. Someone had to have heard that.
"Primus Star…that good?" He looked a bit insulted, but something in his optics told me he was taking this as a challenge. "Let me guess, you're still holding it in, aren't you?" He traced a seam line on my hip, making me shiver. "Do you need help releasing?"
"Wha…"
"And just what are you two doing?" Ironhide entered the room, abruptly calling us out. Both of us jumped back from each other, our faces pink from embarrassment.
"Ironhide, it's fine." Optimus was just behind the new recurrent, both optics fixed on us. Prime knew about us, maybe not about the interfacing part, but he knew we liked each other.
"Fraternizing with crew mates is strictly forbidden! You should know that, Bumbler." Ironhide glared at Bee.
"That's an Elite Guard rule, do you see any of us in the guard here?" It was poor word choice on his part, but Bee was right. "Why do you care anyway?"
"There's rules and regulations that should be followed by fellow teammates! Don't you remember anything from the academy, Bumbler?" Apparently they knew each other.
"It's Bumblebee, and yes, I remember!" The two mechs squared up. "You and the others constantly picked on me and Bulkhead!"
"That's enough. Ironhide, Bee and Starlit's relationship isn't your concern. As long as the commander of the team is aware and approves, there isn't an issue. You're all dismissed for today." Prime looked exhausted from the events that have taken place in the last forty-eight hours. "I'm gonna to go lay down…" He pinched the bridge of his nose as he walked towards his room, an irritated groan came from down the hall when he hit the wall with his new armor.
"I should go see Jazz." I excused myself as well and went to find the cyber ninja. I had a good guess on which room he disappeared to.
I stood just inside the threshold of Prowl's room, unnerved by how silent it was. The white flowers on the tree told me Earth was in springtime, Prowl's favorite time of year. Light from the sun made the tree look almost eternal, like the tree itself had come alive with a pink and yellow glow; I think I understood now why he loved this tree so much.
"Beautiful, ain't it?" Jazz appeared from the other side of the tree, petals from shedding flowers adorning his shoulders. "I can see now why Prowler loved this time of year."
"Yeah…" I trailed off, finally taking a step into the room. The room still held the warmth it used to, but lacked the peacefulness it once held. To me, it felt empty despite being full of life.
"I miss him too, Sta'." Jazz held his arm out to me, pulling me into a loose embrace. "Nothing will ever replace him, but we can still move forward by making this place feel like home again."
"But…doesn't it hurt your spark?" Mine still felt like there was a void deep inside.
"Like the pit itself is trying to pull my spark out every day." Jazz's visor went dim as he let me go. "You know how spark merging and bonding goes, don't cha?" I sort of knew from my talk with Ratchet way back when, but I didn't get what Jazz meant.
"Erm…you mean like how you can hear each other's thoughts?" Jazz chuckled as he leaned against the tree's trunk.
"That's true, but it ain't all a bond does. A full bond is when two spa'ks literally become one. That's the kinda bond Prowl and I had, which made it all the harder to let him go." He sighed, looking forlorn. "Bots with that kind of bond sometimes go offline when their partner does, I wouldn't allow myself too. 'Sides, I got someone to look after 'sides myself." His hand subconsciously moved to the growing bump on his abdomen. Within the next month or so, Jazz wouldn't be able to transform properly and couldn't go on patrols.
"I had no idea that's how it worked." My spark hurt for him. "Can…that happen even without a bond?" Jazz gave me a skeptical look.
"What? Goin' offline after your partner does? Na, unless, ya know, you take your own life. Why ya ask?" Jazz grinned knowingly.
"Well…um, when Bumblebee left us, it hurt, but more so in my spark." Jazz hummed in thought.
"You ever heard the stories about fated spark mates?" I shook my head, leaning on the tree with him. "Some say everybot has a true spark mate, destiny forever pulling them together. Those that believe it say when you find ya spark mate, your sparks will feel compelled to join together. Tsh, you felt that didn't ya?" Jazz nudged my shoulder. I rubbed my and looked away, not wanting to admit my mistakes. "I'm guessin' it wasn't for Drift…"
"Oh Primus…." I felt my face turning red.
"Yere lucky Dai didn't hear ya, he's still warming up to you. But I get it, rebounds are pretty fun." Jazz put a hand on my right arm. "But if you felt yer spark flutter around Bee, maybe you two should talk." He smiled.
"Me and Bee?" I said to myself out loud, making my spark soar with bliss. So that's what this feeling means…
It was late, the waxing moon shining through the dusty windows of my room making the deep shadows seem darker. The only other light in the room was from my optics, which I wanted more than anything to shut down for recharge, but recharge wouldn't come.
My processor continued to bring up what Jazz and I had talked about, fated spark mates and destiny pulling them together sounded like a human fairy tale. Yet, there was no other explanation for the feelings in my spark. If it was true, then Bee would be feeling the same way, right? But what if he felt nothing towards me and just wanted to use me.
And that's where I was, stuck with wanting to find out now or leaving it until tomorrow. The risk of Ironhide walking in on us talking right now was low, but Bulkhead's old room was closer to Bee's. I swallowed hard and took a deep intake as I marched myself to Bee's room, it was now or never.
His door had been left half open, the garage door sitting cockeyed on the rusted pulley system on the door apparently getting too heavy for it.. He was passed out on his berth, looking like he fell asleep the second he hit the berth, limbs hanging half off the berth and his head tilted towards the half opened door. His room was flooded with moonlight, the uppermost windows in his room more East facing than mine, allowing me to see his room clearly.
I slipped under the door, making it creak down a bit more when I bumped with my jet booster against it. My spark melted when I finally focused on the yellow mech. He was snoring lightly, a tiny line of drool falling from the left corner of his mouth to his pillow. A wave of nervousness flowed through my frame as I sat on the other side of his berth, being careful to not awaken him just yet.
"Bee?" I leaned over a bit to whisper in his audial, getting a small twitch in response. Slag, he must be really tired. I thought as I let my EM field reach for him so he wouldn't wake with a start. Even in recharge, his EM field reached back, rolling over to be closer to me with a soft smile. It took his systems a moment to realize I was near, his optics onlining slowly.
"Huh….Star?" His voice staticky from recharge. "What's happening?" His optics fully brightened as he sat up, looking all around for whatever had brought me in.
"Nothing…I shouldn't have woken you, sorry." I cupped his cheek to make him focus on me. "There's nothing going on."
"Are you ok? You seem…I don't know what." Bee tilted his helm into my hand, putting his hand over mine. My spark ached in a way it never had before when he did that. I knew I was blushing from how hot my face felt; Bee gave me that cheeky grin he was known for, and I felt like my spark was going to jump out of my intakes.
"I just had a bad dream…" I lied, but I was extremely nervous.
"You can stay here if you want. You know you're not intruding on me." His expression softened as he pulled me closer until our forehelms touched. "But, you're not telling me something…" he had gotten a lot better at reading my expressions. I felt light headed as my spark skipped a beat, working up the courage to tell him everything.
"You know me too well." I looked away, but he held me in place, refusing to let me retreat. "H-have you heard of destined sparks? Like…how two sparks are always trying to pull two bots together." I was fumbling my words
"Yeah, I mean they're just stories though." He scratched the back of his helm nervously, breaking our contact.
"So, you don't believe that?"
"I-I didn't say…I mean, I guess, I'm not sure?" It was his turn to get flustered.
"Y-you've never felt your spark being pulled towards someone else's? Or had the feeling that…you're with the wrong bot?" That didn't come out the way I intended.
"Er…actually." Bee turned red, fiddling with his fingers now. "Now that you mention it…I have. Just, I wasn't sure that's what that meant." I leaned in, smirking at him as he leaned back away from me. His EM field wavered around mine, unsure how to respond.
"Me too." Both of us stared into each other's optics, neither sure how to continue. "Bee…the reason I felt so bad about Drift…"
"That the mech you met? Like I said, it's ok. But…if we're being honest, my spark kind of hurt when you told me." So Bee did have the same feelings.
"Mine did too…afterwards." I had to tell him the truth, I didn't want any more hurt feelings between us. "I'm sorry." He put his hand over mine, squeezing it as I spoke.
"I'm sorry too, it's my fault for not telling you sooner." Both of us froze at his admission. "I-I mean, we were all so busy with everything going on and with what happened to you I didn't want to cause you any more stress!" He hurriedly spoke. "I-I…knew in my spark that…you're the one I want to be with."
My spark felt lighter now, almost like it was singing as I leaned in close again. Bee followed my lead, silently asking me for a kiss by looking towards my lips. Both of us melted into the kiss, the sinsation sending tingles through my frame. I allowed him to take charge, letting him lay me back onto his berth.
"Bee, I want you too." I told him between kisses. With that I took a deep intake and unlocked my spark chamber, which opened willingly for Bee. My face burned as I watched Bee's optics widen as the pale green light of my spark illuminated his features.
Gently, he ran a thumb over the copper and gold outer casing, making me jump at the feeling. I had to refuse the commands to close my chamber right then.
"Relax, it's ok." He whispered, kissing my forhelm as his own chest plating opened to reveal his pale blue spark. "See…" he took my hand, allowing me to touch his outer casing, making him shiver. I'd never seen anyone's spark exposed before, the gesture was extremely intimate since you were exposing your soul.
Both of us took our time, exchanging light kisses and gentle touches as we inched closer. My spark practically leapt to his as they merged halfway. We both moaned as our feelings and thoughts collided together.
"Everything feels tingly…" I thought, met with a laugh that wasn't my own from inside my spark.
"And you feel really warm." He deepened the kiss, making me realize I could feel what he was feeling too. I wondered…
I moved my knee to push it into his interface panel, forcing a startled moan from both of us.
"Careful, you'll get exactly what you want." Bee teased through our bond, pinning me down with my hands on either side of my head. I couldn't tell who was feeling what anymore, everything just felt good.
"I don't think it's just me that wants to." I said aloud, moving my helm up to lick his audio horn he had carelessly allowed to get close. Now I felt how it made him feel, the sensation sending a hard signal down to my interface port. With both of us experiencing this, I wasn't at all surprised when both our panels slid open.
"You're a tease." He revved, pushing our sparks closer together. "I won't hold back…tell me if you want to stop." He told me aloud and teased my outer node with his thumb.
"I need you, now!" I crashed our lips together, begging him through our connection to frag me already. He hesitated, but gave in after another wave of pleasure hit us. He lined up, slowly filling me with his spike. My intakes hitched, the feedback loop allowing me to feel how tight my own valve was.
"Now you see why I love fragging you so much…" Bee purred, testing how ready I was with a roll of his hips.
"Don't go slow." My left leg wrapped around his waist to push him deeper inside. I didn't have to ask twice, he angled my hips and held them down as he began a steady pace. Maybe going slow was best, the sensation of being taken and taking through the feedback loop becoming overwhelming for both of us and pushed Bee into overload. My gestation chamber had long opened up, taking in Bee's fluids and forcing what was still left of Drifts out.
The love that was sent through the temporary bond we had brought me to overload soon after, every single warning about a crash was ignored as I cried out, most likely alerting the team to what we were up to. Last thing I remember before both of us were forced to shut down was our spark separating back into their housings and Bee collapsing into my frame.
WARNING: FUEL LOW
WARNING: FUEL LOW
The black and white warning screen flashed as I onlined my optics. That's weird, I didn't remember being this low before shutting off for the night. I went to get up, only to be weighed down by a still passed out Bumblebee. I guess his tanks weren't as low. Then again, we did burn through a lot of fuel when we merged sparks. I bit my lip when the memories of last night came forward once more. I wish the merge had been a permanent bond, but neither of us dared to turn off any of the safety protocols that were in place to prevent me from getting sparked. They weren't one hundred percent perfect, but they did at least lessen the chance. At least we'd have a week or so where we'd basically be like bond mates.
The warnings wouldn't let me close them down anymore, forcing me to have to wake my lover.
"Bumblebee, I want to stay like this, but I really need to refuel." I spoke softly, gently rubbing his audial horns. He groaned, not wanting to move.
"Hn…don't wanna…" He whined, but shifted to let me up. "What time is it anyway?" I checked my internal clock and saw it was about nine am. "I heard you, nine am." He froze when he realized he spoke through the bond. "Oh…this is what it's like."
"Pretty cool, huh?" I kissed his cheek, pressing out helms together. "This is different for me too…" Bee and I could freely express all of our emotions and thoughts that we wanted to each other, without having to speak aloud.
"Wait…were we still merged when…" He got a panicked look. "Oh boy…" He put a hand on my abdomen, above where my internal chambers would be. "We've gotta be more careful." It took me way longer than I wanted to admit to what he meant, when it clicked, I was mad at myself for not even thinking about what merging sparks, along with interfacing, caused.
"Holy slag, Bee, I didn't even think about that." He laughed nervously; glad he wasn't the only one not thinking last night. "I…I'm not ready for a sparkling just yet."
"Slag no! I mean…one day, maybe, but I agree." We both turned red when we realized he hadn't moved his hand from the spot along my abdomen. "Uh…"
"Shut up…there's nothing there." I pouted at him which made him rub a small circle with his thumb. He was aware my chamber was still full of his fluids, but if he kept teasing me it wouldn't stay there for much longer.
"You want me too and you know it." He smirked, calling my bluff. "Admit it, you want to be overflowing with my mech fluids…" I pushed him back, acting like I was going to pin him but got up from the berth, the annoyance coming through the bond.
"I'll shut down before we'd even start, come on let's…"
"Wait, you should look at yourself first." Bee took a hold of my arm. "Trust me, you fragging sexy like this, but I don't think you want the others to see the scuff marks." he pulled me into his wash room and I got a look in the mirror of what he meant. Both our chassis were covered in small scratches and scuffs from spark merging.
"Oh…" I blushed, letting him help me buff them out.
Optimus was already up and about in the living area, typing away at the computer console. Knowing him, he was looking up everything and anything on Kaon. I quietly went to the refuel station but Bee loudly made his entrance.
"Morning bossbot! How's it?" Hopefully his overly happy mood didn't hint at what we had done last night.
"Morning, Bumblebee. You're unusually chipper for being up this early." Normally Bee wasn't up until eleven, but hopefully Prime wouldn't look too much into it. I grabbed a cube and started to drink when…
"You two could have at least forced your door shut last night." I choked on my energon, Prime glancing over his shoulder to look at me. "Are you two even using protection codes? I don't want either of you getting into something you can't handle yet."
"Primus, bossbot, of course! We're not trying for anything like that, we're just having fun." Bumblebee's cheeks were pink from this conversation.
"I get it, you're both still young and new to all of this so you think nothing will happen, but it does. The last thing I want to happen is have you two unprepared and end up with an unwanted sparkling." He didn't mean we wouldn't want it, he just meant that having another sparkling to watch out for would make things more complicated. "Just…promise me you'll consider the consequences of everything."
"Good mornin' everybot!" I jumped when an overly eager Ironhide came in and saluted Prime. "What are your orders for the day?" I downed the rest of my energon, knowing I was going to need all of it now to deal with him.
"For now, Bumblebee and Starlit will take you on patrol of the city. Today you'll just be familiarizing yourself with the human world." Prime looked at both of us, silently telling us to keep him busy and away from him. Hopefully, there was something the orange mech liked that the three of us could enjoy together.
Ironhide didn't like the fact he had to take on an Earth vehicle form, saying the Jeep he had scanned made his armor feel bulky. He looked pretty much the same to me, the biggest difference being the black X across his chassis was replaced with a Jeep grill and bumper.
When we finally took off, he went through a list of procedures and rules of how to familiarize yourself to a forgen, enemy land.
"Was he always this boring?" I asked Bee, he shrugged in vehicle mode.
"We weren't exactly close then. In fact, I was surprised he knew who I was." Ironhide pushed between us, forcing me to swerve around a human vehicle.
"Are you two even listening? There could be 'Cons all around us! That vehicle right there looks real suspicious…" he sped up and tailgated a blue SUV. "YOU! PULL OVER AND SHOW YOURSELF!" He yelled, scaring the hell out of the human driver when he formed just one arm and grabbed the rear bumper. He lifted the back end of the car as the human hit the gas, tires spinning uselessly in the air.
"Ironhide!" I yelled, transforming and making him put the car down. "Sorry! He's still learning." I called after the speeding blue SUV as the human screamed away.
"You can't just grab civilian cars like that. You'll scare them and cause an accident." Bee explained as I transformed to rejoin them on the road. "Just…follow us."
We decided the safest place to take him would be Sumdac Tower, at least they had the tools to fix whatever this mech might break. It was getting there that was going to be the hard part.
"Why are those organics allowed to be so close to those bots?" Ironhide asked as we turned down Market Street. Apparently there was a gathering of farmers today, a banner for a Farmer's Market in the square hung across two light poles above the street, tents set up along either side. There, humans and their helping robots scurried about as they normally did on sunny, warm days.
"Those are man made drones that help the humans. Some of them help take care of the elderly, some are vendors while others walk their pets." I explained.
"Pets? Organics keep other organics?!" Ironhide was near a breakdown.
"Look, humans aren't all bad, and Sari explained that pets aren't like humans. They need humans to take care of them, so in a way the humans are saving them, I think." Bumblebee tried, but it was an odd concept to us too.
"And they walk them on a string?" The orange mech watched a drone walk three dogs across the street in front of us. Neither of us could explain that one, we'd have to ask Sari about this pet thing again.
"Anyway, let's just focus on avoiding hitting anyone." Bee took the lead again and led us towards Sari's home.
Sari met us outside, super excited to see us again but not as excited to see Ironhide. Could have been the fact he took out all of the light posts in front of Sumdac Tower, or maybe it was the rude greeting, either way he was making a great impression.
"I do not know what you mean by "street lights." The street lights I know don't tell you to start walking away!" Ironhide argued.
"That's the voice of the crosswalk lady. She helps the blind know when it's safe to cross the street!" Sari waved her arms in anguish. "Do you know how long it'll take to fix that!?"
"Sorry, Sari…we tried to explain that to him before he ripped it out of the ground." I tried to at least get the lamps out of the road for traffic. Humans angelly honked at the inconvenience and sped around me once the road was clear.
"Never mind…maybe you guys should come in before…something else happens." As she said that, Ironhide started a fight with a hotdog bot. The drone had no clue why the cybertronian had ripped its arms off, but it knew it didn't deserve to also be beaten with its own arms.
"Frag me…" I sighed as I went to help Bee pull him away as the human owner came around the corner, yelling at us.
"I told you, it said something offensive." Ironhide grumbled as we shoved him into the tower lobby as the police came. The last thing I wanted was for him to meet Captain Fanzone in this mood. "What in the pit…" He was distracted by the interior of the building for now, liking the little cleaning bots scurrying across the floor.
"Yeah…so about us having a sparkling? I don't think that's ever going to happen." Bumblebee spoke quietly as he stood next to me. "We've already got a giant one." I shoved his arm playfully, telling him to be nice.
"Don't you remember your first time here?" I tilted my helm to the side, he mimicked me in confusion. "You weren't confused and scared of what was going on around here? I know I was." Of course, I had a traumatizing experience just before arriving, but it had to be just as strange for him as it was for me, to suddenly be on a completely different planet.
"I mean…I guess it was a little weird waking up here. Fine, maybe you're right and he'll calm down after a few days."
"He better or the city is going to run out of street lights!" I looked down to see Sari was standing between us. "Why did you bring him here?"
"He had questions about human stuff we didn't have the answers to." I told her, keeping an optic on the orange mech. "We thought maybe if he had more answers about this planet, he might calm down a bit."
"Fine…I'll be your human expert." Sari sighed, but her tone said she was more than happy to teach him the ways of the human world.
Ironhide sat in a circle with us as Sari explained some basics to him. The orange mech listened intently, cautious of letting her get too close to him.
"And we don't spit acid! Though if we did, it'd be kinda cool." Sari was explaining what humans were, Sentinel had fed Ironhide false information that desperately needed to be corrected. "Now, does that help? Good, cause there's a whole lot to still go over!" Bee and I had heard these explanations once before and were getting bored.
"Now hold on, organics aren't toxic and don't excrete any corrosive chemicals?" This blew his mind for some reason.
"Nope!" Sari crossed her arms. "Anything else? Cause I have a question about being a Cybertronian." The three of us looked at each other, wondering if we could answer her questions. "What the heck is interfacing and why does everyone get that look when I say "interfacing?" I know the human definition but does it mean something else?"
"Um….Arcee didn't say anything?" Bee asked, obviously embarrassed by the topic change. Sari shook her head, crossing her arms again.
"She told me about protoforms from the factory, but I'm guessing that's not the only way for them to be made, is it?" The young techno organic had guessed correctly but we didn't know if we should tell her everything. She was technically still a sparkling to cybertronians, even with her transformation upgrade her age was still only nine stellar cycles old.
"Well, when two bots fall deeply in love, they might engage in some kind of debauchery." Ironhide's frame was rigid, tensed up in embarrassment, but it didn't show on his face or in his voice. "If I may, how different is it from humans interfacing?"
"Wait a second…does…does interfacing mean, err…sex?!" Sari turned red and buried her face in her hands. "Oh gross! I didn't need to know that! I didn't even know you guys had those parts!" She turned away, wrapping her brain around that fact.
"So…not too different?" Ironhide had a thick head apparently.
"Except for maybe spark bonding." I muttered, the techno organic quickly turned on me.
"Spark what?!" I blushed, trying to avoid Bee's gaze as she went on a tangent. "Should we tell her?" I asked him through our bond. I got a heavy sigh in response.
"Ok, fine…I'll explain." Bee fidgets with his hands, biting his lip as he works up the courage. "Cybertronians can't create sparklings without a spark merging taking place. Which means…two bots have to open their spark chambers."
"So you guys don't have…those parts?" Sari makes a vague gesture around her lower half. "You know…"
"You mean interface spike and valve?" Ironhide had all of us blushing with how blunt he was.
"Yeah…ok sure." Sari looked mortified. "So you guys do have those parts then…"
"Mech can have both though, they're called carrier mechs." Bee and I let the thick processor mech continue to scaring her. "Femmes however only have the valve, and non-carrier mechs only have a spike. Neither should be used during a spark merge unless you want a sparkling!" He was short with her on the last sentence.
"So…does that apply to me? I mean…I kinda know how humans reproduce, but it's way different than you guys! We don't use our hearts…er, sparks."
"I'm not sure. You're right though, both our species have a slightly different way to procreate. Since you're the first techno organic to date, there's just not enough information." It wasn't easy to tell her no one knew, but sometimes the truth was hard to swallow.
"So…I just have to figure it out myself?" My spark felt for her, but no one had answers.
"You're still pretty young, you have plenty of time to figure that stuff out!" Bee assured her. "That kinda stuff doesn't matter too much anyway."
"You weren't saying that last night." I gave him a side glance. The pink on his cheeks made Ironhide raise an eyebrow at us.
"Come on, really? Now?!" He responded, glaring at me.
"Are you ok?" Sari tilted her head in curiosity.
"Holy Slag! You two did it, didn't ya?! Y'all bonded after that talk we had!" Ironhide pointed accusingly at Bumblebee. Bee held his arms up, trying to wave him off.
"We're not bonded! We're…uh…" the yellow mech was at a loss for words for once.
"Together. That's all you need to know." I finished this little argument, glaring at Ironhide, who glared right back.
"Hold on! You two did the spark thing and weren't gonna tell me?!" Sari balled her hands into fist, annoyed she wasn't in on our secret.
"It wasn't like we planned it…" Bee shrank back a bit, not really wanting to talk about how intimate we'd been.
"Are you sparked?" Ironhide had narrowed in on my abdomen, my face burning when I noticed.
"No!" I covered myself with my arms, not liking his gaze. "Quite staring…there's nothing there!" I ignored the churning in my tank when he looked back up into my optics, the judgment making me feel nauseous.
"So you guys aren't having a sparkling?" Apparently Sari thought the same thing, but things weren't that easy! We had the proper codes in places to prevent that.
"Primus, no! Do you know how hard they are to care for?!" Bumblebee was on the verge of a breakdown. "I do! Not personally but I know the stories!"
"Jazz will have his soon though." Again, Sari screeched in aggravation.
"JAZZ IS HAVING A BABY?! HOW!?" Now Sari was having a fit about us keeping things from her.
"Oh yeah…I wondered about that." Ironhide had also been out of the loop on that one, but that was expected. "Who's the Sire then? I didn't see him with a spark mate." Bee and I looked down sadly.
"My brother was his bond mate. His name was Prowl." Everyone was silent after I spoke.
"Oh…sorry. I had no idea." Ironhide showed he could actually project emotions by looking ashamed.
"Did…Prowl know?" Sari put her hand on my knee, trying to comfort me.
"Yeah, he knew. The team knows too, sorry, Sari, I thought we'd told you." I laid my hand gently on hers, careful not to squish her. "But Jazz can't wait for them to arrive." He had been busy in Prowl's old room, making sure it was mostly sparkling proof and no loose branches were allowed to stay in the tree.
"At least something good will come from all of this." Bee thought allowed. "We all miss him, but we can't just mope around all the time about it. Like he told us, we can't dwell in the past."
"I agree, but we can still take time to focus on what really matters." I smiled softly, looking at my friends. I felt Bee's love flow through the temporary bond, which I freely gave back to him.
Back home, Bee and I learned our lesson about telling Ironhide any kind of secret. Ratchet, Prime and Jazz forced us to sit down in the living area after Ironhide blabbed about us merging sparks.
"Didn't we have a discussion about this already?" Bee shrugged at Prime. "We're not not being safe; I don't get why you guys are all like this."
"It's because Starlit is just a youngling!" Ratchet stepped forward and got in our faces. "Her body is nowhere near ready for the stress of a sparkling! Sure, you got yer transformation upgrades and are technically an adult bot, yet yer interfacing systems only just came online! You ain't seen what can happen if yer system isn't fully ready, but I have!"
"I get it, but I promise we haven't done anything without the protection codes in place." I told them, hoping they'd lay off Bee a bit. Didn't they know he didn't pressure me into it?
"Cool it, guys. It's not the worst thing to have happened. I hate to admit it, but they're both old enough to make that kind of decision. I know, it's not easy to see them as all grown up, but the fact is that they are." Jazz had his arms crossed over his chest up until now, putting his left hand on Ratchet's shoulder and his right on Optimus'. "If they say they're being safe, then let it be. An' do you really want to know what they're up to?"
Both the older mechs got a look of disgust, silently agreeing they didn't want to know.
"You're right, Jazz. It's not easy for me to see you both as adults, but you are." Prime looked at both of us lovingly. Bee hated it, but I didn't; it meant he cared.
"Fine, since we're all adults, not fragging in the living areas!" Ratchet brushed Jazz's arm off as he went back to the med bay. "I'll be working in my shop…" he'd been busy getting supplies to repair Omega Supreme, which I was supposed to be helping with.
"Like we would…" Bee muttered a little too loud, Prime sighing and looking away from us.
"Just…go." He put his hand over his face, Jazz patting his shoulder in comfort.
"I seriously am going to kill him!" Bee was pacing in his room, ranting as I got the door to finally shut. "He and I are around the same age, I know he fragged around at the academy, so what's his problem?"
"I think he's jealous." It was obvious by the way he had stared at me earlier.
"Wait…seriously?" He stopped mid step, nearly falling over. "He could have anyone!"
"But…does he? I don't know what you two went through at the academy, but it sounds like they wanted you to fail. Am I right?" The fallen look on his face said I was.
"I-I never thought of it that way…why do you have to be right about these things?" He sat on the arm of the couch, arms resting on his knees with his head in his hands.
"You're not, you know, right?" Taking his hands in mine, I made him sit upright so he was eye level to me. "You're not a failure." I flooded the bond we shared with all the love and admonition I had for him, resting my forhelm on his.
"He called me Bumbler…" "It's the name Sentinel Major gave me. I haven't lived it down yet. It's not one I want to keep."
"Bee, it's ok to make mistakes, but owning up to them is what makes you a better bot. You're not a bumbler, you're really brave. I love you for being you."
"You're the only one to ever tell me that." His voice trembled as he held off tears, his emotions coming through now even stronger than before. "Sure, the team accepts me, but you…it's like you see right through me, Star. I can't explain it but…"
"It's like you can see into my soul." We both spoke, catching us off guard. We laughed nervously, never once breaking eye contact.
"I'm starting to believe those spark mate stories…" Bee moved my hands to his shoulders to free his own to place them on my waist. He moved his helm to the side and started kissing my neck cables. "How's the door?"
"We're going to be stuck until I take the pulley system off." He smirked into my neck, making me worry about what he had in mind.
"Trapped, huh? That's too bad, I wanted to make sure you were fully refueled before trying a new position." He leaned back on his hands, pulling me forward to off balance me, forcing me into his chassis. "It's been bugging me, this Drift guy was able to get you so revved up, but I can't figure how. Wanna show me?"
"You wanna frag me like him?" I tried to suppress the feeling of pleasure going through the bond but I knew I failed when Bee shivered.
"No. I'm going to be better." He smirked. "I can't prove it until you show me though." Just remembering had me ready, but the position was so…degrading.
"Please don't laugh…" I felt him shift, his left arm taking on our weight as he cupped my face with his right.
"I'd never do that to you, I just thought it might be fun. We don't have to if it's too much to ask." He let go to relieve the tension in his left arm. "You chose, I want you to feel comfortable."
"I trust you." He blushed as I moved off of him, sitting on the berth. The ones at the dojo were lower, making it easier for Drift to have fragged me that way, but here the berths were too high for it to work. Unless…maybe if I was still standing?
Bee watched me as I stood, unable to see my burning face as I tried to compose myself. I turned around, keeping my helm low to keep from looking at him as I bent over his berth, aft out a bit. I felt a soothing warmth flow through my spark, which made me look over to him; he was closer than I thought and pulled me into a kiss, running his hand over my back.
"Relax, you're really tense about this. Did he hurt you?"
"N-no! It was…intense is all. I-I don't know why I'm tense, I'm not scared…" he had slowly moved down, leaving a trail of kisses down my back before dropping to his knees. "Just nervous."
"You've got nothing to be nervous about, trust me." I looked back, his optics had dimmed in lust. He looked up, biting his lip as he moaned before leaning in to kiss my inner thighs. "Bet he didn't know how to treat you properly though…" I was grateful that the bond allowed us to talk while his mouth was preoccupied.
"You know how to show a lady a good time?" I teased, his response was licking over my closed panel. "Ohhhh…." I gasped as he grabbed my hips, spreading my legs further as he sucked at the transformation seam.
"You tell me." He purred, doing the same for the opposite seam. He continued to lick, using his nasal ridge to encourage me to open up. A firm press from both his thumbs into my joints sent a dizzying wave of pleasure through me, enough to make me open my valve cover without a thought.
"Already dripping for me." He revved as I felt lubricant dripping down my legs, feeling his fingers push my valve lips apart. "Bet I could slide right in…but why waste this." I cried out when he pressed his glossa firmly against my valve, lapping away the lubricant as it came.
My arms gave way, forcing me to prop myself on my elbows as he continued to eat my valve out, his glossa finally pushing inside had him holding my hips once more. He leaned his back against the berth frame, getting leverage to keep my legs apart so he could suck my outer node. My hips jerked, Bee tilting my hips once more to push his glossa back in and used his nasal ridge to rub my node.
"W-where did you learn this?" I asked, unable to actually voice anything tangible other than broken moans.
"Past lover, he knew a few things. I'm more than willing to share more." He moaned, the vibrations making me squirm. "Don't hold off for me, I want you to overload first."
The motion of his thumb rubbing circles against my node did it for me, covering his face in my fluids as I overloaded. He swallowed what I gave him eagerly, making me blush into his thermo blankets.
"Frag you taste good…I could drink you all day." I revved at his words, stifling a moan. "Hm, I knew it, you like it when I talk dirty…" he stood behind me, his spike rubbing against my valve. "Who would have guess a beautiful femme like you could be so filthy minded. You even love it from behind." I felt him lean over me, breathing hot against my audial. "I won't stop unless you say." He whispered, plunging his spike deep into my valve.
"Ahhh, Bee..." I pushed my hips into his thrust, just missing the best node hidden deep within. The pace was slower than we'd done before, allowing us to explore what felt good and what angle he needed to go deeper.
"So tight, Primus it's like your valve was made for me." Bumblebee moaned, putting one hand on my lower back and the other resting on my left hip. He pushed down on my back, forcing my aft to tilt up to get an even better angle and finally hitting my upper node.
"Yes! Right there…" I moaned, my frame burning with pleasure. I deeply wished I was facing him, only for him to lean over my shoulder and start kissing my neck. He was listening to me through the bond, I hadn't realized until now the connection had stayed open this whole time. When I focused, I could feel what he wanted too, opening up a different world of pleasure. I turned my head, allowing him to pull me into a hot, deep kiss.
This was what we both wanted, our sparks pulsing as one as our pace quickened. We didn't have to speak much more, just feeling what each other wanted for once. I moved my left leg onto the berth, his hands moving to grab my chassis as his spike was driven deeper, both of us moaning. I dismissed all warnings about my chamber opening up, allowing Bee access to it. He groaned as he felt the tip of his spike brushing against the port opening, the feeling driving me to the edge fast.
"Frag…I-I'm gonna overload." Bee bit my shoulder plating to contain his yell, the feeling of my gestation chamber overflowing threw me into an intense overload. My chamber refused to close, releasing Bee's mech fluids back onto his spike, down my legs until it felt empty again. We were breathless, completely blissed out from our session, we didn't hear someone knock. Bee was nuzzling the junction between my neck and shoulder when we heard the door creek. Bee was quick to pull out and shoved his still engorged spike back into its housing while I pulled the thermo blanket off and covered my lower half, sitting just on the edge of the berth.
"Are you two stuck in there?!" The concerned voice of Ironhide yelled. "I can bust ya out of there!"
"We're ok! The thing just fell off, it's fine." Bee shouted as Ironhide put a dent in the door. "Starlit is working on it." I laughed, this predicament wasn't one I ever pictured us in.
"You're not hurt are ye? I thought I heard something." Looks like the sound proofing was also in need of repairs.
"You're just hearing things…" I said as I used his blanket to clean us off. Bee gave me a look, but it was all I had and it could be washed. I tossed it over the small puddle of fluids still on the floor, hoping it was enough to cover it.
"You owe me a new one." He teased as I went to detach the broken pulley, causing the door to release and hit the floor. With a push, the door let me pull it off it's frame and opened Bee's room to the world.
"There, easy."
"Great, now there's no door." I gave Bee a look after his comment. "What? Can't play our video game as loud now! That's not fair." He put up a good front, I'd have to remember how fast he could switch from being a desperate mech to his normal self.
"What's a video game?" Ironhide looked between the two of us. "Could I possibly join?"
I smiled, Ironhide was trying to make friends but he had to overcome his tendency for being a stickler for rules.
"Come on in! I'll show you my favorite! It's Speed Racing 3000, I don't promise to go easy just because you have played before!" Bee was more than happy to show our new teammate the ropes of video games.
