Finding Fairies and Gathering Ghosts
Later at a hotel in Ballonlea, the group were lying in beds, catching some Zs; well almost all of them. Lucy, after seeing everyone else was asleep, she quietly gets out of her bed, exits the hotel room, goes outside, and uses her Rotom Phone to call for a Flying Taxi.
Five minutes later in Stow-on-Side; Lucy and Allister were sitting on a rooftop together.
"I'm glad to see you again." Allister says to the goth Loud.
"As I am to see you." said Lucy with a small smile.
"What do you want to talk about?" asked Allister. Lucy then tells him about her and the rest of the groups' gym battles in Ballonlea, along with how Opal has chosen Lola to be her successor.
"Anyway; when I finish my journey with my siblings, would it be possible for us to share the responsibility of the gym together?" asked Lucy.
"I don't believe there's a rule saying that we couldn't." said Allister.
"Wicked." said Lucy. "I would love to hang out with ghost Pokemon more, and you as well." Allister blushes at the last thing that was said.
"That would be wonderful." said Allister. He reaches into a bag he had and pulls out a dusty tome.
"What's that?" asked Lucy.
"A book on all the kinds of ghost Pokemon that are found in Galar." said Allister. "It also contains the locations of Pokemon Dens where they can be found."
"Wicked." said Lucy. Allister then puts his arm around Lucy's shoulders as she leans her head against his shoulder and the two look up at the moon as ghost Pokemon surround them and do the same thing.
The next morning, the group go to a restaurant to have some breakfast.
"I want to look for more fairy types." said Lola.
"I'm guessing it's because you want more to help you out once you become the next Ballonlea gym leader?" says Clyde.
"You got it." said Lola.
"I guess it wouldn't hurt to take a day or two to do that." said Lincoln.
"And I want to look for more ghost types for my team." said Lucy.
"You really like ghost, little dudette." said Luna.
"Along with the fact that while I was hanging out with Allister last night..." Lucy started to say before her sisters that were there squealed with delight.
"You were hanging with Allister?!" asked Leni with glee. Lucy sighs in exasperation.
"Yes, I've been sneaking off to Stow-on-Side and doing so every night after you all go to sleep since our gym battles there." said Lucy.
"EEEEEEEEEEEE!" squealed Lucy's sisters.
"Anyway, we agreed to become co-gym leaders once our journey here is over." said Lucy.
"Looks like we'll be having two gym leaders in the family soon." said Lincoln.
"Maybe we'll find paths for ourselves here during our journey." said Clyde.
"We'll see." said Lincoln.
"And like Opal did for Lola; Allister also gave me a book, but this one has information like hers' except for ghost Pokemon." said Lucy.
"Rad." said Luna.
"We'll head out after breakfast." said Lincoln.
"Yeah!" said Lana as she starts eating at a fast pace.
Once everyone was finished, they exit the restaurant and were about to head off when they see Opal walking over to them.
"Greetings, children." said Opal before she sees Lola. "And greetings to you my apprentice."
"It is wonderful to see you again, Ms. Opal." said Lola as she does a curtsy, making Opal smile.
"Would you all accompany me to Hammerlocke?" asked Opal. "I have business there and an escort would be appreciated."
"Sure; we were heading there as well." said Clyde.
"Excellent." said Opal. The group then make the long trek to Hammerlocke, with Lucy seeing Allister and waving at him.
On the way to Hammerlocke, Opal gave Lola some pointers as a head start on her training, and Lucy read the book that Allister gave her last night.
An hour later, the group soon reaches Hammerlocke.
"A fine journey." said Opal. "This city has always had a fine old-fashioned charm again."
"It sure does." said Lola.
"I'm certain we will meet again." said Opal. She then walks off, leaving the group to themselves.
"What now?" asked Lana.
"Let's head to the places in Lola and Lucy's books and find them some new Pokemon." said Sam.
"Good idea." said Lucy from behind Sam, startling her. As the group head for the south gate of Hammerlocke, they spot two familiar faces.
"Hey, it's Bede." said Lana in a sour tone.
"And is that Ms. Oleana with him?" asked Ronnie Anne.
"I think so." said Clyde.
"What are they talking about?" asked Leni. The group moved closer until they were able to hear what was being discussed.
"I hope you appreciate the second chance that the chairman has given you." Oleana said to Bede.
"I do." said Bede with some relief on his face.
"Chairman Rose gave Bede another chance?" asked Clyde.
"What was he thinking?" asked Lola.
"And in the future, don't do anything to damage historical landmarks." said Oleana. "The chairman values the history of the Galar region as much as the region itself."
"I promise to do so." said Bede. Oleana nods and walks into the Hammerlocke Stadium. Bede looks around and sees the group. "What are you all doing here?"
"Just passing through." said Lana.
"We all got our fifth badges yesterday." said Ronnie Anne with a smirk. "Looks like you have some catching up to do." Bede frowns in response.
"I will rectify that." said Bede.
"And don't do anything dumb that could ruin the second chance you've been given." said Lola, making Bede nervous.
"Suggestion noted." said Bede. He and the group soon parted from each other and the group exited Hammerlocke.
"So, what should the rest of us do while Lola's looking for fairy Pokemon and Lucy's looking for ghost Pokemon?" asked Lincoln.
"I guess we can try to catch more Pokemon ourselves." said Ronnie Anne.
"All right, then; we'll meet outside Hammerlocke in a few hours." said Lincoln. Everyone nods in agreement and seperated for now. Lola takes the time to use her Rotom Phone to exchange her Cinccino for her Ribombee.
Several minutes later, in an area known as Stony Wilderness, Lola was looking around the grass when she sees a Star Piece near a large rock.
"Ooh; I can get some pokedollars selling this." said Lola as she picks up the Star Piece. As she puts it in her pocket, she hears rustling coming from grass nearby. She looks to see a white, puffy Pokemon with a pair of eyes and a green leaf on each side of its body floating out of the grass. Lola takes out her Rotom Phone and points it at the Pokemon.
"Cottoneee, the Cotton Puff Pokemon. Weaving together the cotton of both Cottonee and Eldegoss produces exquisite cloth that's highly prized by many luxury brands." said Lola's Rotom Phone.
"I like the exquisite part; also says here you're part fairy." said Lola; she pulls out a pokeball. "That settles it, I'm catching you. Ribombee, go!" She throws Ribombee's pokeball and releases her. "Ribombee, use Pollen Puff!" Ribombee forms a purple puff of pollen between her hands, and she throws it at Cottonee, hitting it, and damaging it. Cottonee swings its leaves, releasing leaves from them and they hit Ribombee, but not doing much damage.
"Ribombee, use Struggle Bug!" said Lola. Ribombee releases multiple streaks of light green energy from her body, and they hit Cottonee, dealing more damage to it, knocking it to the ground. Lola takes out an empty Heal Ball and throws it at Cottonee, hitting it, and sucking it in; it wiggled around a few times until it clicked. "Yeah, baby! Cottonee is mine!" Cottonee's Heal Ball vanishes and is transported to storage. Lola uses her Rotom Phone to look up Cottonee's information.
"Okay, this says my Cottonee's a girl, she knows Absorb, Helping Hand, Fairy Wind, Stun Spore, Mega Drain, Razor Leaf, Growth, Poison Powder, Giga Drain, and Charm; she has the Infiltrator ability which allows her to ignore the protection and stat boosts of her opponents." said Lola. She uses her Rotom Phone to exchange her Polteageist for Cottonee. "Note to self; buy Rose Incense for my Cottonee next time I'm in Hulbury."
She takes the time to train her Ribombee to make up for not doing so since exchanging her for Azurill before her battle at the Motostoke Gym, as well as her Cottonee. Her Ribombee learned Switcheroo and her Cottonee learned Leech Seed and Cotton Spore.
As Lucy walks through an area called Hammerlocke Hills, a snowstorm was occuring in the area.
"It's as cold as a tomb out here; so I'm okay with this, and there isn't any sunshine." said Lucy. She was wandering around when she sees a Pokemon that looked like a sword with an eye on the hilt and a blue sash coming out from the tip of the handle floating around. Lucy takes out her Rotom Phone and points it at the Pokemon.
"Honedge, the Sword Pokemon. The blue eye on the sword's handguard is the true body of Honedge. With its old cloth, it drains people's lives away." said Lucy's Rotom Phone.
"Wicked." said Lucy. She takes out her Dusknoir's pokeball and releases him from it. "Dusknoir, use Shadow Punch." Dusknoir draws his fist back as ethereal energy gathers around it; he throws a punch, releasing a ghostly fist that hits the Honedge, doing super effective damage to it.
Honedge responds by unsheathing itself and slashes at Dusknoir while coated in dark energy, dealing super effective damage.
"Dusknoir, use Night Shade." said Lucy. Dusknoir releases a jolt of black, purple-tinted energy from his eye, hitting the Honedge, and dealing super effective damage. Lucy then takes out an empty pokeball and throws it at the Pokemon, hitting it, and sucking it in; the pokeball wiggles a few times before clicking.
"Wicked." said Lucy. As Honedge's pokeball is teleported to storage, she looks up its information on her Rotom Phone. "My new Honedge is a boy, he knows Tackle, Fury Cutter, Shadow Sneak, Autotomize, Aerial Ace, Metal Sound, Slash, Night Slash, and Retaliate; plus he has the No Guard ability which makes his and opponent's moves completely accurate."
Lucy decides to trade her Noibat for her Honedge and trains him for a while; during the training, he learns Iron Defense, and evolved into Doublade.
In an area called Giant's Cap, Luna and Sam were exploring some tall rock formations for more Pokemon for their collections. As they look around, they see two Pokemon they haven't seen before; one looked like an orange, circular stone with yellow rock spikes coming out, making it look like a sun; while the other one looked like a crescent moon with eyes. Luna takes out her Rotom Phone and points it at the moon-shaped Pokemon.
"Lunatone, the Meteorite Pokemon. It was discovered at the site of a meteor strike 40 years ago. Its stare can lull its foes to sleep." said Luna's Rotom Phone. Sam points her Rotom Phone at the sun-shaped Pokemon.
"Solrock, the Meteorite Pokemon. Solar energy is the source of its power, so it is strong during the daytime. When it spins, its body shines." said Sam's Rotom Phone.
"Want to catch these Pokemon, Sam?" asked Luna.
"You bet." replied Sam, pulling out a pokeball while Luna does the same. "Go, Gourgeist!" She throws Gourgeist's pokeball, and releases her.
"Come out, Sharpedo!" said Luna, throwing Sharpedo's pokeball, and releasing him. Her Sharpedo was facing Lunatone while Sam's Gourgeist was facing Solrock.
"Gourgeist, use Shadow Sneak!" said Sam. Gourgeist's shadow stretches towards Solrock and it strikes it, dealing super effective damage. Solrock's eyes glowed blue and Gourgeist gets thrown against a rock, damaging her.
"Now use Energy Ball!" said Sam. Gourgeist forms a green ball of energy and launches it at Solrock, hitting it, and dealing super effective damage. Solrock glows white and rocks appeared above Gourgeist; they fall onto her, damaging her.
"Now use Bullet Seed!" said Sam. Gourgeist fires seeds out of her mouth and they hit Solrock, knocking it to the ground. Sam takes out an empty pokeball and throws it at Solrock, hitting it, and sucking it in; it wiggled around a few times until it clicked. "Right on! I caught Solrock!" Solrock's pokeball vanishes and is transported to storage.
With Luna and Sharpedo, they were facing Lunatone.
"Okay, Sharpedo, use Crunch!" said Luna. Sharpedo leaps at Lunastone and bites it, dealing super effective damage to it, as well as weakening its defense. Lunatone glows white and large rocks spires comes up from the ground and they hit Sharpedo.
"Okay, now use Aqua Jet!" said Luna. Sharpedo becomes surrounded by water and rams into Lunatone, dealing super effective damage, and knocking it to the ground. Luna takes out an empty pokeball and throws it at Lunatone, hitting it, and sucking it in; it wiggled around a few times until it clicked.
"Rockin! Lunatone's mine!" said Luna. Lunatone's pokeball vanishes and is transported to storage. Luna looks up Lunatone's information on her Rotom Phone. "My new Pokemon's has no gender, it knows Moonblast, Moonlight, Tackle, Harden, Confusion, Rock Throw, Hypnosis, Rock Polish, Rock Slide, Psyshock, Cosmic Power, Psychic, Stone Edge, and Future Sight; it has the Levitate ability which makes it immune to ground moves."
"And my Solrock doesn't have a gender either, but it knows Flare Blitz, Morning Sun, Tackle, Harden, Confusion, Rock Throw, Hypnosis, Rock Polish, Rock Slide, Zen Headbutt, Cosmic Power, Psychic, Stone Edge, and Solar Beam; and it has the Levitate ability also.
The group is getting stronger is preparation for the Circhester Gym. What other things will they discover as their Galar adventure continues?
