Mysteries Abound

As the group headed back to Lincoln and Sam's cabin, they look at Luna's new Hisuian Sneasel.

"What are the odds that another time distortion would appear where the first one was?" asked Lincoln.

"I have no idea." said Luna.

"Why did they start appearing all of a sudden?" asked Dawn.

"I wish we knew." said Lincoln.

"I hope we can help Sneasel get used to being in our time period." said Stella.

"Zorua was able to adapt easily enough." said Lincoln. "I'm certain that Sneasel will also."

"Maybe we can start out by letting her sample the kinds of foods we got here when we have lunch?" suggested Clyde.

"As long as we're doing that, we might as well." said Sam.

"Let's go." said Dawn. As the group were nearing the cabin, they were surprised by what they all saw when they got close.

"Is that a time distortion?!" asked Clyde as the group looks at a blurry dome covering the cabin.

"What's it doing here?" asked Lincoln with shock.

"Children!" Professor Rowan's voice calls out, making everyone look to see him running towards.

"Professor, it's another time distortion!" said Dawn.

"So that's what one looks like." said Professor Rowan.

"Be ready if any Pokemon come out of it." said Sam. They all watch the time distortion for several minutes before it slowly disappears.

"What was that about?" asked Clyde.

"Why did it appear around the cabin?" asked Sam.

"Let's check to see if anything is inside." said Lincoln. The group run to the cabin and enter it; they search every room, inside every cupboard, and every nook and cranny until they searched every square inch.

"See anything out of place?" asked Dawn.

"Nothing out of the ordinary." said Clyde.

"Everything is still here." said Luna.

"All our appliances seem to be working." said Lincoln as he checks out the microwave to see if the distortion messed up any electronics.

"I'll check the TV." said Clyde as he turns the televison on to show a news program.

"Hello." said the anchorman. "We have some sort of disturbance going on in Oreburgh City." The scene soon changes to show Oreburg City that has, to everyone's surprise, a time distortion.

"Another time distortion?!" said Dawn.

"What's it doing in Oreburgh City?" asked Sam.

"A mysterious dome has appeared in the vicinity of the Oreburgh City gym." said the anchorman. "People are in shock at this strange phenomenon that has appeared out of nowhere. So far, no one has gotten hurt, but there is panic throughout the city."

"What is going on?" asked Stella as she watches the TV screen. After a minute, the time distortion fades away like the one around the cabin.

"It seems whatever we just witnessed has disappeared." said the anchorman. "People are advised to be careful while travelling and report any similar phenomenon they witness."

"Why are time distortions appearing recently?" asked Professor Rowan.

"When did this start?" asked Clyde.

"The first one appeared weeks after Lincoln and Sam first arrived in this dimension." said Professor Rowan.

"And the time distortion appeared around the exact same spot we showed up in." said Sam. Lincoln thinks for a bit.

"Clyde. When you, my family, and our friends first arrived; where did you come out?" asked Lincoln.

"Outside the Oreburgh Gym." said Clyde. "Why do you ask?"

"Route 202, Oreburgh Gym, and this cabin all have one thing in common." said Lincoln.

"What?" asked Stella.

"At least one of Lisa's dimensional portals appeared in all those places." said Lincoln.

"Do you think they could have something to do with the time distortions?" asked Clyde.

"We should talk to Lisa and see what she thinks." said Lincoln as he uses his Poketch's dimensional communicator to contact his second youngest sister; she soon answers.

"Greetings, male sibling." said Lisa. "What can I do for you?"

"We need to talk to you about something." said Lincoln. He then tells Lisa about the time distortions and his theory about how the portals from the Dimensional Watches may have something to do with them.

"My portals do leave behind residual energy fields each time they open and close." said Lisa. "Said energies may have affected the time space continuum."

"How long do these energy fields last?" asked Professor Rowan.

"I'm not certain." said Lisa. "I never took the time to study them or measure their durations at all."

"Is there any way to detect when a time distortion will appear?" asked Lincoln.

"I need to learn more about the energies that one produces in order to work on a device that can detect when one will appear." said Lisa.

"We should look into this and try and find a solution." said Professor Rowan.

"I shall get to work immediately." said Lisa before she ends the call.

"What do we do now?" asked Stella.

"Until we know more about the time distortions, you should all be careful while occupying this cabin." said Professor Rowan.

"Yes, sir." said Lincoln.

"I'm going to look through the old Galaxy Team's archives and see if they have any sort of information on them as well." said Professor Rowan.

"Okay, sir." said Clyde. As Professor Rowan heads to his lab, the group goes over what they just discovered.

"I think we caused some trouble by coming here." said Lincoln.

"It's not your fault, Lincoln." said Stella. "It was Rusty's!"

"Yeah, his photo forced you to come here." said Luna.

"What's done is done." said Sam.

"What should we do now?" asked Dawn.

"Let's just have lunch." said Lincoln. "We can worry about time distortions later."

As the group eats, Professor Rowan was in Jubilife Village at the school, looking over old Team Galaxy records that were stored in the basement there.

"There must be something here about the time distortions." said Professor Rowan. As he grabs another old book, a photograph falls out of it; as he picks it up, he notices something on it that makes his eyes widen with surprise.

"What is this?!' Professor Rowan thinks to himself loudly. "Lincoln and his sister have to see this!"

Back in Sandgem Town at the cabin, everyone was just finished cleaning their dishes after they ate.

"Do you think Lisa will figure out something about the time distortions?" asked Clyde.

"Hopefully." said Lincoln.

"They haven't hurt anyone so far." said Sam.

"There's that at least." said Dawn. Just then, they hear some rapid knocking at the door.

"Who could that be?" asked Lincoln. He and the others walk over to the front door and open it to see Professor Rowan.

"Professor?" Dawn says.

"What's going on?" asked Luna.

"I was going through some old Galaxy Team records to see if they had any information on time distortions." said Professor Rowan.

"Did you find something?" asked Clyde.

"No; but I found this." said Professor Rowan as he holds out an old-looking photograph.

"What is it?" asked Lincoln.

"A photograph of a group of Team Galaxy members." said Professor Rowan. Lincoln looks at the photograph and his eyes widen in surprise.

"What is it, bro?" asked Luna.

"It's... us and our sisters." said Lincoln. Luna and the others looked over his shoulders and saw that, in fact, that the Loud siblings were in the photo.

"What are we doing in this picture?!" asked Luna.

"I don't know." said Professor Rowan.

"Today just keeps getting stranger." said Lincoln.

"And this picture was from over a hundred years ago." said Professor Rowan.

"How can we be there a hundred years ago but still be here in this time period?" asked Lincoln.

"I'm not sure." said Professor Rowan. "Maybe your family exists in this universe but in the past?"

"That's possible." said Lincoln. "Lisa says there are infinite universes which means infinite possibilities so you could be right."

"This is real freaky, dudes." said Luna.

"I need to lie down." said Lincoln. "This is a whole lot to take in."

"Yeah, we can wait a while before we go to Floaroma Town." said Clyde. Lincoln sits down on the couch while Stella stands behind him and massages his shoulders while Dawn holds and pats Lincoln's hands.

Later that evening, Lincoln and Luna call their siblings to bring them up on current events.

"That's literally weird." said Lori after Lincoln and Luna bring up the photo.

"What are we wearing?" asked Leni.

"I think Professor Rowan said that they're Galaxy Team Survey Corps uniforms." said Lincoln.

"I would never wear that!" said Lola.

"Professor Rowan said he'd try to look into this while he and Lisa are trying to figure out the time distortion problem." said Lincoln.

"Yeah, we're just gonna chill for the rest of the day and just go to Floaroma Town tomorrow." said Luna.

"This is weird." said Lucy.

"This coming from someone who collects internal organs?" replied Lynn Jr.

"We'll let you know when we find out more." said Lincoln.

"No need to think too much about it, son." said Lynn Sr.

"Just focus on your gym battles and Stella's contests." said Rita.

"Okay, Mom." said Lincoln. The call ends after that.

"What now?" asked Stella.

"Let's just get to bed." said Lincoln. After everyone showers, they all go to sleep to rest up for their journey tomorrow.
