The Work Continues
In an area of the Obsidian Fieldlands called Floaro Gardens, Lincoln and Lisa were sneaking up on a yellow Pokemon with arrowhead-shaped ears with black trim, pink round circles on its cheeks, a black collarlike design around its neck, and a small black tail.
"I'll throw an Oran Berry to draw its attention." said Lincoln. "Got a pokeball ready?"
"Indeed." said Lisa as she takes a pokeball, that Lana made, out of her satchel. Lincoln takes an Oran Berry out of his, and tosses it near the Pokemon, drawing its attention away from the two. Lisa takes aim and throws the pokeball as hard as she can while the Pokemon's back is turned, hitting it, and sucking it in; the pokeball wiggles a few times before a firework shoots out.
"You did it, Lisa!" cheered Lincoln.
"Yes; thank you for the assistance, brother." said Lisa. Lincoln looks back at his Pokemon that were cheering for Lisa's success.
"That's another Pichu for Professor Laventon's research." said Lincoln.
"I believe I will keep this with me for protection against wild Pokemon." said Lisa.
"So, how are we doing so far, Lisa?" asked Lincoln.
"I believe we've gathered information on all the Pokemon that are in this area." said Lisa.
"Great." said Lincoln. "Professor Laventon will be so happy."
"Indeed." said Lisa. She looks up and sees the sky was turning orange, meaning it was going to be getting dark soon.
"Let's head back to camp." said Lincoln. "And we should be sure to avoid that Alpha Luxio we saw on the way here." With that, they, along with Lincoln's Pokemon, start heading back to the base camp on Aspiration Hill.
"A fine suggestion, brother." said Lisa.
It's been one week has passed since the Loud siblings arrived in the Hisui Region and joined the Galaxy Team's Survey Corps.
Everyone's been keeping themselves busy to take their minds off their amnesia by focusing on the pokedex.
Lincoln has been enjoying working on the pokedex alongside Lisa and the rest of his sisters. They have caught many Pokemon for Professor Laventon's research needs.
After a while of Lincoln's Pokemon battle wild ones in the pursuit of completing the pokedex, his Cyndaquil learned Rollout, his Shinx learned Bite, and his Buizel learned Aqua Jet and Swift. He always keeps them out of their pokeballs; partly due to wanting them out if they're needed, and partly because he enjoyed their company.
Lisa made sure to observe all the data acquired as Lincoln battled and captured wild Pokemon.
They soon arrive at the camp where they see Professor Laventon waiting.
"Hello, kids." said Professor Laventon as he sees Lincoln and Lisa approaching.
"Greetings, Professor." said Lisa.
"How was your excursion?" asked Professor Laventon.
"Quite enlightening." said Lisa as she hands the notes she made to Professor Laventon, who then looks them over.
"This is wonderful." said Professor Laventon. "This really helps the progress on the pokedex." After he adds the new information into the pokdex, the three head back to Jubilife Village.
When they arrive, they look towards the clothing stand and see Leni talking with Anthe.
"Hi, Leni." said Lincoln, getting her attention.
"Hi, Linky; hi, Lisa." said Leni as she waves at them.
Leni has been spending a lot of her time helping gather data on the Pokemon in the area outside the village. During her excursions, her Eevee learned Quick Attack, and the Oshawott she was sharing with the twins learned Swords Dance; and she wasn't working on the pokedex with her siblings, Akari, and Rei; she was working on new clothing designs with Anthe; for reasons she couldn't explain, she was really drawn to making new outfits.
"Pokeballs! Potions!" Lola shouts out from a small, crude stand near the houses the Loud siblings were sharing. "Come get your Pokemon related needs right here!"
"Hey, Lola." said Lincoln as he waves at her, getting her to wave back at him.
"Hi, Lincoln!" said Lola. Lincoln looks behind her to see Lana crafting some pokeballs.
The twins are also helping work on the pokedex as well. While they were doing this, they also collected materials to craft items for their siblings to use, as well as sell to earn some money; they also sold some of the valuable stuff that they found in the red ore they found all over the Obsidian Fieldlands.
The Ponyta that Lola caught for herself, which already knew Ember and Tackle, learned Double Hit. When the two bonded and became good friends, Ponyta let Lola ride around on her. Also, during her excursions into the Obsidian Fieldlands, she caught herself her own Eevee, much to her delight; it was a female one that knew Tackle, but with training, she learned Quick Attack.
As Lincoln and Lisa continue walking around the village, they see Lori, Luna, Luan, Lynn Jr, and Lily, talking with Akari and Rei.
"Hi, everyone." said Lincoln as he waves at them.
"Hi, Lincoln." replied his sisters, Akari, and Rei.
They've all been working hard to help complete the pokedex as well. To replace the Wurmple she gave to the guard, Lori caught herself another one; after training her, she became a Silcoon and learned Harden.
Lori's Starly, along with Lily, Luan, and Luna's; all learned Aerial Ace during the battles they all had during their trips into the Obsidian Fieldlands.
Lily and Lori gave their Silcoon's more training until they all finally evolved into a beautiful, butterfly-like Pokemon called Beautifly, much to Lily's delight; after evolving, they learned an attack called Air Cutter.
Luna and Luan's Cascoon's eventually evolved into a purple mothlike Pokemon with green wings called a Dustox which learned Confusion after evolving.
During one of Luan's trips into the Obsidian Fieldlands and exploring an area on the far east part of the Horseshoe Plains, she found and caught a small, pink, humanoid Pokemon that looked like it was wearing a navy-blue hat, called a Mime Jr; it was a female variety, and she knew Confusion, and with training she learned Hypnosis.
Lynn Jr was also helping with the pokedex, and also training her Rowlet; for reasons she couldn't explain, she had a strong urge to push him to his limits, which results in Rowlet learning Roost.
"How are you all doing?" Lincoln asked them.
"We got some more data for Professor Laventon." said Luan.
"Hi, Lincoln." said Lucy from behind everyone, startling them.
"Please don't do that." said Lincoln as he tries to calm his rapidly beating heart.
"How do you always seem to pop up out of nowhere like that?" asked Lori.
"I don't remember." said Lucy as she looks down with sadness.
"Sorry." said Lori.
Lucy was spending a lot of time going out at night to search for more of the wisps she was told about; but she only managed to find two others. She also spent some time helping with the pokedex, as well as training her Drifloon. resulting in her learning Hypnosis and Astonish.
But the excursions weren't without peril. Some of the Pokemon they encountered during them would sometimes attack them; on a few of these occasions they would get a little hurt, but they would recover overnight.
"So, what did you find in the Obsidian Fieldlands today?" asked Luan.
"Lisa has a Pokemon for herself now." said Lincoln, making Lisas toss her pokeball, releasing her new Pichu.
"She's so adorable!" said Leni as she picks up Pichu and cuddles her while Lily pets her head.
"That's what you said about the other Pichus they found before." said Lori.
"They're all adorable." said Leni. Professor Laventon finishes looking over the notes he was given and puts them into his bag.
"This will go a long way towards completing the pokedex." said Professor Laventon.
"We are glad to help with the endeavor, Professor." said Lisa.
"I will report to Captain Cyllene with this update." said Professor Laventon as he starts walking over to Galaxy Hall.
"What do you want to do now?" asked Luna. Lincoln's stomach started to growl.
"Wallflower?" asked Lincoln.
"Sure, we can eat." said Lynn Jr.
"Let's go get the twins and we'll head over there." said Lori. A few minutes later, everyone was at the Wallflower, eating some potato mochi.
"I really like these." said Lana as she takes a bite.
"I wonder what kind of foods we used to eat?" asked Lola, making everyone stop and look down with upset expressions on their faces.
"I wish I can remember more about ourselves." said Lynn Jr.
"We all do." said Lori as she gives Lily a small piece of potato mochi to eat.
"What happened to us to make us lose nearly all our memories?" asked Lucy.
"I wish I knew." said Lori.
"Hopefully we'll get answers someday." said Lincoln. His Pokemon look up from the plates of food that Lincoln had out for them.
"At least working with the Survey Corps gives us something to do in the meantime." said Lisa. As everyone continued to eat, Luna notices that Akari was deep in thought about something.
"Is something wrong?" Luna asked her.
"I got a request earlier today." said Akari.
"What is it?" asked Luna.
"Well, I was wondering if you or one of your siblings could handle it for me." said Akari.
"How come?" asked Lori.
"I was told some battling skill would be needed, and I don't have much experience with that." said Akari. "Would one of you be willing to help?"
"I don't see why not." said Lori.
"Oh, thank you everybody." said Akari. "We can work on that tomorrow."
"Okay." said Luna. After everyone finished eating, they all went to their houses and went to sleep.
