Rock-a-Bye Lily
With Leni, the twins, and Lily; they were walking down Deertrack Path, exploring the area.
"I can't wait to see what kind of Pokemon are around here." said Lola with excitement, making Lily giggle with delight.
"Hope I can find my own personal Pokemon soon." said Lana.
"I'm sure that you will soon." said Leni.
As they look around the area, they see a tree with Cheri Berries in it.
"We should grab some of those." suggested Lana. Lola then notices the tree was shaking a little bit.
"Must be the wind or something." said Lola. Lana takes out Oshawott's pokeball and releases her from it.
"Oshawott, would you mind shaking that tree a bit for us?" Lana asked. Oshawott does a little salute and rams into the tree, knocking a few Cheri Berries loose; but to their surprise, a small black Pokemon with a coiled antenna on its head that was clinging to a branch, with the rest of its body covered in leaves; comes down from the tree and stares at the group with an angry look on its face.
"I think we made it mad." said Lola.
"What is it?" asked Leni. Lana looks at the research notes that Professor Laventon gave them.
"I think it's called a Burmy." said Lana.
"Do you want to catch this Pokemon?" asked Leni.
"Well, I don't want to pass this chance up." said Lana. She waves Oshawott over to her and they get ready for a battle.
"Do it, Lana!" said Lola.
"Oshawott, use Tackle!" said Lana. Oshawott charges at the Burmy, then leaps up and rams it. The Burmy responds by leaping at Oshawott and struggles with her, doing a little damage, and tiring her out a bit. "Oshawott, use Aqua Jet!" Oshawott propels her body at the Burmy while coated in water and rams it, knocking it to the ground.
"Hurry and catch it, Lana!" said Lola. Lana nods and pulls a pokeball out of her satchel; she throws it at the Burmy, hitting it, and sucking it in; the pokeball wiggles before a firework shoots out of it.
"Oh yeah! I caught a Burmy!" said Lana.
"Is it a boy or a girl?" asked Leni. Lola looks at the photos attached to Burmy's file.
"I'm not sure, but I'm thinking it might be a boy." said Lola. "And this file says that it only knows Struggle Bug."
"I'm fine with that." said Lana as she pockets her new Burmy's pokeball.
"Let's keep exploring." said Lola. They all go off to see what else they could find.
Meanwhile with Lori, Luna, and Luan; they were searching around in tall grass. As they do, they hear a strange rhythm coming from nearby.
"What is that music?" asked Luan. Luna's eyes widen at the mention of music for reasons she didn't know.
"I don't know; who would be out here besides us and other members of the Survey Corps?" asked Luna. They follow the sound until they found its source which was a red, bug-like Pokemon with black antenna, a yellow collar around the bottom of its head, and a black, cape-like marking on its back; the sound was coming from it knocking its antenna together.
"What's that?" asked Luna, making Luan look through the files that Professor Laventon provided them with.
"I think it's a Kricketot." said Luan. Luna couldn't help but be drawn to the music the Pokemon was producing.
"I... feel like I want to catch it for some reason." said Luna.
"Then do it." said Luan. Luna nods as she takes out her Starly's pokeball and lets her out of it, getting the Kricketot's attention.
"Starly, use Gust!" said Luna. Starly flaps her wings, releasing a blast of wind that hits the Kricketot, doing a lot of damage to it. Luan quickly takes out a pokeball and throws it at the downed Pokemon, hitting it, and sucking it in; the pokeball wiggles before a firework shoots out of it.
"You did it, Luna!" said Luan.
"Is this Kricketot a boy or a girl?" asked Luna. Luan looks at the pictures that were attached to the file on Kricketot.
"Judging by the collar size; I'd say it's a girl." said Luan. "And this says a Kricketot only knows Absorb and Tackle."
"Maybe she'll learn some new moves if I have her battle a bit?" said Luna.
"And we can also do more research tasks while we're at it." said Luan. With that, the two run off to train Luna's Kricketot.
Meanwhile, with Leni's group, they were taking a small break from all the walking around and training they've been doing.
"Boy, my feet are sore." said Lana as she takes off one of her sandals.
"I know." said Leni as she sets Lily down on the ground.
"You should get a Pokemon to ride on like my Ponyta." said Lola as she pets her horse Pokemon. They all look at their Pokemon who were playing with each other.
"What was that star thing that our Eevees did before?" Leni asked, regarding when their Eevee launched stars at a Starly.
"We can ask Professor Laventon next time we see him." said Lola.
"Maybe they learned a new attack?" suggested Lana.
"That could be it." said Lola. While the twins and Leni was preoccupied with their conversation, Lily was climbing up onto a small boulder that was near a bunch of other ones.
"Lily, be careful." said Leni. As Lily looks back at her siblings, the rock she was on suddenly started to float off the ground.
"What's with that rock?" asked Lana with surprise.
"And why does that rock have arms?" asked Leni, making the twins see that the rock did, in fact, have arms on it. The rock turns around, revealing it had eyes and a mouth.
"Is that a Pokemon?" asked Lola. Lana looks at the research papers and finds the file she wanted.
"It's called a Geodude." said Lana. Lily looks at the Pokemon she was on and giggles.
"Lily, be careful!" said Leni.
"Go, Rocky!" shouts Lily as she points up the path they were all on. For some reason, the Geodude complies and floats off with her.
"Lily!" the twins and Leni shout as they start to run after their baby sister. Suddenly, the other 'boulders' in the road started to float up, revealing they were Geodudes also; they stood in the road and blocked their path.
"Move it!" said Lola. A few of the Geodudes respond by flinging mud at them, narrowly missing, but some of it splatters against a cliff wall and gets onto Lana's hand; as she rubs it between her fingers, she felt something familiar about it.
"Lana, we have to help Lily." said Leni, making Lana snap out of her trance.
"Oh, right!" said Lana. They then hear approaching footsteps behind them, they look to see Lori, Luna, and Luan running over to them.
"What's going on?" asked Lori. "We heard you shouting."
"A Pokemon just floated off with Lily." said Luan, shocking Lori's group.
"Yeah, and those ones won't let us pass." said Lola as she points at the Geodude.
"Let's clear them out of the way." said Lori. She throws her pokeball, releasing her Beautifly; Leni throws her pokeball, releasing her and the twins' Oshawott, Lola lets out her Eevee, Lana lets out her Burmy, Luan throws her pokeball, releasing her Mime Jr; and Luna throws her pokeball, releasing her Kricketot.
"What's that Pokemon?" asked Lana as she looks at Luna's Kricketot.
"It's called a Kricketot." said Luna.
"I caught a Burmy." said Lana.
"Well, if it can help us, then now's the time to do so." said Lori. The group of Geodudes starts moving at the Loud sisters and their Pokemon.
"Beautifly, use Air Cutter!" said Lori. Beautifly flaps her wings, releasing blades of wind at one of the Geodude, but the attack barely did anything.
"Eevee, use that star move of yours." said Lola. Eevee tilts her head with confusion, but she figured what Lola wanted and releases a barrage of stars at one of the Geodude, but they barely did much to it.
"These guys are tough." said Lana.
"Oshawott, use Aqua Jet!" said Leni. Oshawott rockets towards one of the Geodudes while coated in water and slams into it, making it cry out as it falls to the ground.
"That move looks like it works well on Geodudes." said Lori. One of the Geodudes rolls at Luna's Kricketot and slams into her, knocking her to the ground; she struggles to her feet.
"I think that move was Rollout!" said Lori.
"Kricketot, try using Absorb!" said Luna. Kricketot releases a stream of green energy that hits Geodude and seems to drain its stamina and transfers it to herself; everyone watches as Kricketot's wounds start to heal.
"Wow." said Lori. "Not only does that move drains the Pokemon it's used on of its strength, but it also heals the one that used it."
"That move could really come in handy." said Luan.
"And it looks like it works well against these guys." said Luna as she notices the Geodude that Kricketot attacked dropping to the ground.
"Mime Jr, use Confusion!" said Luan. Mime Jr's eyes glow blue, making a similar-colored aura appear around a Geodude that sends it flying into a cliff wall.
"Burmy, use Struggle Bug!" said Lana. Burmy leaps at a Geodude and struggles with it, wearing it out in the process.
"Let's hurry and take the rest of them out so we can go after Lily." said Lori. The others nod and they continue to battle against the remaining Geodudes. Two minutes later, they were all defeated.
"I think that's the last of them." said Luna as her Kricketot was catching her breath.
"Good work, everyone." said Lori. Luna's Kricketot suddenly freezes up and starts to glow.
"My Kricketot's evolving!" said Luna. Everyone watches as Kricketot starts to change; when she finished, she was taller, she had a neck, her antenna were red, skinny, and jointed, she had mustache-like feelers over a dark red nose that looked like the antenna she had before, her arms were longer and looked like her head antenna, three black ovals on her abdomen, small feet, and a tan streak going down her belly.
"What is she now?" asked Lana. Luna looks at the files she had.
"She's a Kricketune now." said Luna. "And this says she should know a move called Aerial Ace now."
"Let's hurry and go after Lily." said Lori. She and the others run down the path and soon see Lily who was still riding the Geodude while giggling.
"Lily!" shouts Leni, making Lily look over at the group and waves at them with a smile. The Geodude then bounces up a nearby hill.
"Let's hurry." said Lori as the group climbs up the hill. They see the Geodude stop in front of a lone boulder and sets Lily down.
"Good, it stopped." said Luna.
"Now what?" asked Luan. Lily reaches into her satchel and pulls out a pokeball; she giggles as she tosses it at the Geodude, as if wanting to play catch, hitting it, and sucking it in; the pokeball wiggles before a firework shoots out of it, much to Lily's delight.
"Wow, she caught it." said Lori. The Loud sisters run over to Lily, and Leni picks her up.
"Don't ever scare us like that again!" said Leni as she nuzzles Lily, making her giggle.
As everyone else watches the scene, they hear some rustling coming from the boulder the Geodude stopped at.
"What's that?" asked Lana as she quietly sneaks around the boulder with her sisters following after her; they immediately see what looked like an orange chimplike Pokemon with fire coming out of its rear.
"Is that a Pokemon?" Luan asked quietly. Lori quietly looks through the papers that Professor Laventon gave them.
"I think that's a Chimchar." whispered Lori.
"Oh my gosh, its butt's on fire!" shouts Leni, getting the Chimchar's attention, making it turn around to see the Loud sisters; it suddenly runs off as fast as it could, leaping from tree to tree as well.
"Leni, why did you scare it off?" asked Lori.
"It was on fire!" Leni replied.
"That's what it's normally like!" said Lori as she showed Leni the attached pictures of Chimchar, showing that the ones in them were the same way.
"Sorry." said Leni.
"So, it's kind of like Ponyta's fire mane?" asked Lola.
"I guess." said Lori. Lana looked in the direction that the Chimchar went off in.
"I hope I find that Pokemon again someday." said Lana.
"Now what?" asked Luan.
"Now that Lily's safe, let's keep getting ready for the Alpha Pokemon." said Lori.
"Yeah!" said the rest of the sisters.
After a little scare and chase; Lori, Leni, Luna, Luan, and the twins, have gotten their baby sister back. What other adventures will they have as their work with the Survey Corps continues?
