Lincoln vs Iono
On the round platform stage in Levincia; Lincoln and Iono were on opposite ends of it, looking at each other with anticipation for their gym battle while a lot of people, including Clyde, were watching, as well as Lincoln's family and friends back in Royal Woods.
Iono's Rotom Phone was floating in front of her, doing a livestream video for her channel.
"Ladies and gentlemen, are you ready?" asked Iono. "Caught in my Electroweb, your eyes are mine! Whosawhatsit? It's me, Iono! Hello. hola, bonjour; and now, it's time for... the Iono Zone!"
"We're in one of Iono's videos!" shouts an Iono fan that was standing behind her, waving.
"So awesome!" shouts another fan who was also behind Iono.
"We are live in Levinica where yours truly is going to have a gym battle with my super cute challenger, Lincoln!" said Iono, making Lincoln blush a little. "How about giving our viewers a smile and say hi, cutie?" Iono's Rotom Phone floats over to Lincoln and hovers in front of him.
"Ello, 'ello, hola! Ciao and bonjour!" said Lincoln as he gives a smile and waves into the Rotom Phone's camera.
"Oh, snap! Not only are you cute, kind, polite; you're also a master of Iono-ese?" asked Iono.
"I learned it all while watching your videos." said Lincoln with a smile.
"You have a cute smile, too." said Iono, making Lincoln blush a little more, as well as making his sisters who were watching back in Royal Woods squeal with delight.
"Iono definitely likes Lincoln." said Lori with a big smile.
"Totes!" said Leni, also with a smile. Ronnie Anne crosses her arms and looks away with a huff that Bobby notices.
"How cute; Nie-Nie's jealous." said Bobby, making Lincoln's sisters giggle, causing Ronnie Anne to blush.
"NO, I'M NOT!" shouts Ronnie Anne. She then turns towards Lynn Jr and punches her in the shoulder.
"Hey, what was that for?!" asked Lynn Jr.
"For starting everything that led to Lincoln being sent to Paldea." said Ronnie Anne.
Back in Levincia, a digital face appears on the screens around the platform where the gym battle was taking place.
"This gym battle is between the gym leader; the mean, lean, streaming queen, Iono; and the gym challenger, Lincoln Loud. Both trainers will each use four Pokemon. The trainer who defeats all their opponent's Pokemon will be the winner. Let the battle begin!" said the digital face. Lincoln and Iono each pull out a pokeball.
"Don't think I'm going to go easy on you, cutie." said Iono.
"I don't want you to." said Lincoln with resolve in his voice. "I want you to battle me with everything you got because I want to earn my gym badge." Iono looks at Lincoln with awe and a blush on her face.
"You are so cool it's taking every ounce of willpower I have to not run over to you, tackle you to the ground, and kiss your cute face all over." said Iono, making Lincoln blush so hard his entire face was red, as well as making Lincoln's sisters squeal some more, and Iono's male fans look at him with jealousy.
Iono throws her pokeball, releasing a large, black, bird Pokemon with yellow feathers on the front of its neck and parts of its wings. Lincoln points his Rotom Phone at the Pokemon to see what it was.
"Kilowattrel, the Frigatebird Pokemon, and the evolved form of Wattrel. Kilowattrel inflates its throat sac to amplify its electricity. By riding the wind, this Pokémon can fly over 430 miles in a day." said Lincoln's Rotom Phone.
"That's a smart move, using an electric Pokemon that's part flying type to make it immune to the only type of move that would be super effective against them." said Lincoln.
"Thanks, Linky." said Iono. "And you're smart for seeing why I went with him."
"Thanks." said Lincoln before throwing his pokeball, releasing his Lycanroc.
"Your Lycanroc looks so cool!" said Iono.
"I like him, too." said Lincoln. "And his colors really suit me."
"I can see that." said Iono.
"Lycanroc, use Accelerock!" said Lincoln. Lycanroc's body glowed white before it moves towards Killowattrel at incredible speed and slams into him, doing super effective damage. "Since Killowattrel is part flying, it has moves that would be super effective against him."
"That move was strong and fast!" said Iono with surprise.
"It's really strong partly due to his Tough Claws ability. It powers up his physical moves." said Lincoln. Killowattrel struggles to get up.
"Killowattrel, use Spark!" said Iono. Killowattrel's body becomes coated in electricity as he flies at Lycanroc and slams into him.
"Lycanroc, use Rock Tomb!" said Lincoln. Lycanroc summons up a bunch of rocks that appear over Killowattrel and fall onto it, burying it, and knocking it out.
"Killowattrel is unable to is the winner." said the digital face.
"Nice job, Lycanroc." said Lincoln, making Lycanroc bark in response. "And I'm sorry about your Killowattrel, Iono; but I didn't have a choice."
"You better be sorry, kid!" shouts an Iono fan.
"How dare you hurt one of Iono's Pokemon!" said another Iono fan.
"HEY!" shouts Iono, getting everyone's attention. "Anyone who talks to Lincoln like that from now on will not be one of my subscribers anymore!" Her fans cover their mouths in response. She then returns her Killowattrel to his pokeball, puts it back in her jacket, and pulls out another one; she throws it, releasing her Magnezone.
"That Pokemon looks like a UFO." said Zach from Royal Woods.
"I think my Rotom Phone said something about it sending and recieving signals of unknown origin." said Clyde who heard Zach on Lincoln's Rotom Phone.
"Cool!" said Zach.
"Lycanroc, use Dig!" says Lincoln, making Lycanroc dig into the floor of the platform.
"Magnezone, use Magnet Rise!" said Iono. Magnezone releases magnetic energy from its body which lifts it higher off the ground. Lycanroc soon pops up from below and tries striking Magnezone, only to miss due to it being out of reach.
"That was a good move, Iono." said Lincoln in an impressed tone of voice.
"Thanks, Linky." said Iono. "Magnezone, use Magnet Bomb!" Small metal orbs fly out of Magnezone's body and attach themselves to Lycanroc's body; a few seconds later, they explode, doing super effective damage.
"Lycanroc, are you okay?!" asked Lincoln. Lycanroc struggles to his feet and nods at Lincoln. "Lycanroc doesn't have a lot of moves that would be super effective against Magnezone, but I can at least do something to get ready for the Pokemon I use next. Lycanroc, use Crush Claw!" Lycanroc uses most of its remaining energy to leap up at Magnezone and thrusts a claw that was coated in blue energy into its body, not doing much but leave a small dent.
"Magnezone, use Mirror Shot!" said Iono. Magnezone reflects some light off its body into a laser at Lycanroc, hitting him, and doing enough super effective damage to knock him out.
"Lycanroc is unable to battle. Magnezone is the winner." said the digital face.
"You did it, Magnezone!" said Iono, making Magnezone fly around in celebration. When she looks over at Lincoln, she was seeing him stroking the top of Lycanroc's head as he looks up at him.
"You were great, Lycanroc." said Lincoln with a smile that made Iono blush.
"You are so kind and compassionate to your Pokemon." said Iono as she looks at Lincoln with adoration.
"My Pokemon are my friends. I care about them greatly." said Lincoln with a small smile.
'I love him.' Iono thought to herself. Lincoln returns Lycanroc to his pokeball, puts it back on his waist, pulls off another one and throws it, releasing his Pawmot.
"Wow! You have an electric type, too!" said Iono with delight.
"That's right!" said Lincoln. "Okay, Pawmot; use Bite!" Pawmot jumps up at Magnezone and bites it with dark energy-coated teeth, damaging it, as well as making it flinch.
"That did more damage than I thought it would." said Iono.
"That's probably because of Lycanroc's Crush Claw." said Lincoln. "It reduces the defense of the Pokemon it hits."
"You're so clever." said Iono with a smile.
"Pawmot, use Arm Thrust!" says Lincoln. Pawmot strikes Magnezone with multiple arm thrusts, doing super effective damage with each one.
"Magnezone, use Spark!" said Iono. Magnezone flies at Pawmot as its body is coated in electricity and rams her, but instead of doing any damage, the energy around Magnezone's body gets absorbed into Pawmot.
"Hey, what happened?" asked an Iono fan.
"Pawmot has the Volt Absorb ability." said Lincoln. "Electric attacks won't do anything but restore her stamina."
"That's amazing!" said Iono.
"Pawmot, use Arm Thrust one more time!" said Lincoln. Pawmot hits the Magnezone with another barrage of arm thrusts, this time doing enough damage to knock it out.
"Magnezone is unable to battle. Pawmot is the winner." said Iono.
"Nice job, Pawmot!" said Lincoln, making Pawmot look at him and do a fist pump. Some Iono fans were about to say something before remembering what Iono said she'd do if anyone spoke ill of Lincoln. Iono returns her Magnezone to its pokeball.
"You were awesome, Magnezone." said Iono. She then puts Magnezone's pokeball away and pulls out another one. "This battle is getting good, Linky!"
"I know, it's so awesome!" said Lincoln. Iono throws her pokeball, releasing a quadrapedal Pokemon with blue fur covering the front half of its body, black fur on the back half of its body and around its face, and a tail with a four-pointed star on the end of it. Lincoln points his Rotom Phone at it.
"Luxio, the Spark Pokemon, and the evolved form of Shinx. Strong electricity courses through the tips of its sharp claws. A light scratch causes fainting in foes." said Lincoln's Rotom Phone. Luxio's eyes suddenly glow red as it stares at Pawmot, making her nervous.
"I see that Luxio has the Intimidate ability." said Lincoln.
"Cute, kind, polite, fluent in Iono-ese, compassionate to your Pokemon, and also smart?" replied Iono. "You got it all, cutie!"
"T-Thanks, Iono." said Lincoln as he looks away with a smile and blush, making Lincoln's sisters squeal with glee.
"Iono definitely likes Linky!" said Lola.
"Lincoln has a girlfriend!" said Luna.
"I wonder if Nemona's watching this." Luan wondered with a smirk.
Back at the battle, Iono and Lincoln were about to continue their battle.
"You ready, Linky?" asked Iono.
"You bet I am!" said Lincoln with determination in his voice.
"Luxio, use Psychic Fangs!" said Iono. Luxio's fangs glowed purple as it bites down on Pawmot, doing super effective damage.
"Pawmot, hurry and use Dig!" said Lincoln. Pawmot starts digging, and tunnels down into the platform.
"Be careful, Luxio." said Iono, making Luxio look around. Suddenly, Pawmot pops out from below, striking Luxio in its gut, doing super effective damage, but not a lot due to her attack power being weakened by Intimidate. "Luxio, hit it with one more Psychic Fangs!" Luxio charges at Pawmot and bites down on her, doing enough super effective damage to knock her out.
"Pawmot is unable to battle. Luxio is the winner." said the digital face.
"Great job, Luxio!" said Iono, making Luxio look at her and nod. Lincoln tilts Pawmot's head up as she looks up at Lincoln with a smile.
"You were great, Pawmot." said Lincoln. He returns Pawmot to her pokeball, then pulls out another one and throws it, releasing his Charcadet.
"Don't give up, Lincoln!" said Clyde.
"I won't, Clyde, no matter what!" said Lincoln. "Charcadet, use Will-O-Wisp!" Charcadet releases small fireballs from the holes on his face plate that sink into Luxio's body, setting parts of it on fire.
"Nice one, buddy!" said Clyde. "Now not only is Luxio's attack power weakened, it'll take damage from time to time."
"Luxio, use Spark!" said Iono. Luxio charges at Charcadet with its body coated in electricity and rams him; it suddenly takes damage from burn.
"Charcadet, use Fire Spin!" said Lincoln. Charcadet releases a tornado of fire that surrounds Luxio, doing damage and more thanks to his Charcoal. "Fire Spin will do damage to Luxio now and then which will add to the damage it takes from Will-O-Wisp!"
"You're so skilled, cutie!" said Iono, making Lincoln blush. "Luxio, use Thunder Shock!". Luxio hits Charcadet with a jolt of electrcity, damaging him; Luxio suddenly takes more damage from its burn and the Fire Spin.
"Charcadet, hit it with Night Shade!" said Lincoln. Charcadet holds out his arms and fires off black streams of energy at Luxio, hitting it, and knocking it out.
"Luxio is unable to battle. Charcadet is the winner." said the digital face.
"Yes! Way to go, Charcadet!" said Lincoln. Charcadet looks over at Lincoln and takes a bow. A notification appears on Lincoln's Rotom Phone and it floats over to him, making him look at it. "Hey, my Charcadet just learned Flame Charge!"
"Awesome!" said Clyde. Iono returns her Luxio to its pokeball.
"Take a good rest, Luxio." said Iono. "I gotta tell ya, Linky; you're one of the toughest challengers I've had in a while, but you're the cutest one overall!"
"And you're an awesome trainer also, Iono!" said Lincoln. Iono puts her Luxio's pokeball back into her jacket and pulls out her last one; she throws it, releasing a purple, ghostlike Pokemon that looked like it was wearing a witch's hat and dress.
"That Pokemon looks so wicked." said Lucy as Lincoln grabs his Rotom Phone and points it at the ghost Pokemon.
"Mismagius, the Magical Pokemon, and the evolved form of Misdreavus. Its cry sounds like an incantation. It is said the cry may rarely be imbued with happiness-giving power." said Lincoln's Rotom Phone.
"I want one." said Lucy.
"I'll look for a Misdreavus and try evolving it for you." said Lincoln.
"Thank you, dear brother." said Lucy.
Back with the battle, Iono pokes one of her hands out from her sleeves, revealing a Tera Orb in it.
"You got a Tera Orb also?" asked Lincoln.
"That's right, and I'll bet you know what's going to happen next." said Iono before she throws her Tera Orb above Mismagius, making crystal pillars surround her, then shatter to reveal she's been crystallized and has a crystal light bulb on her head.
"I'm pretty certain that your Mismagius' Tera Form is electric type." said Lincoln. "And I learned at the academy that she has the Levitate ability which makes her immune to ground attacks, and when used with her Tera Form, she becomes a Pokemon without any weaknesses."
"You really are smart, Linky." said Iono. "Mismagius, use Power Gem!" Several gems appear and circle in front of Mismagius, then point towards Charcadet and fire off beams of light, hitting him, and doing super effective damage; Charcadet struggles to his feet.
"You can do it, Charcadet!" said Lincoln. "Let's try your new Flame Charge!" Charcadet's body becomes engulfed in fire as he runs at Mismagius and rams her; his body suddenly surges with energy, he suddenly moves left and right very quickly.
"What's up with Charcadet?" asked Clyde.
"Flame Charge increases the speed of the Pokemon that used it." said Lincoln. "Let's put his new speed to the test; Charcadet, use Flame Charge again!" Charcadet quickly runs behind Mismagius and hits her with another fiery tackle.
"Mismagius, use Power Gem one more time!" said Iono. Mismagius turns towards Charcadet, summons up more gems that fire another round of light beams that hit Charcadet, knocking him out.
"Charcadet is unable to battle. Mismagius is the winner." said the digital face.
"Way to go, Mismagius." said Iono. Mismagius bows her head in response. Lincoln holds Charcadet in his arms as he opens his eyes.
"You did great, Charcadet." said Lincoln. He then returns Charcadet to his pokeball, puts it on his waist, and pulls off his last one.
"Now they're both down to their last Pokemon." said Lynn Jr.
"It could go either way." said Lori.
"I hope no matter who wins, they'll still want to be together." said Leni.
"So do I." said Luna.
Back at the battle, Lincoln throws a pokeball, releasing his Floragato; he then reaches into his pocket and pulls out his Tera Orb, surprising Iono.
"You have a Tera Orb, too?" asked Iono.
"Yeah, and I know how to use it!" said Lincoln as he throws his Tera Orb over Floragato, making crystal pillars rise up around him; they shatter, revealing Floragato in his Tera Form.
"This is really getting good, now!" said Iono with excitement.
"Okay, Floragato, use Magical Leaf!" said Lincoln. Floragato jumps up into the air and spreads his arms; glowing green leaves are released from his body and they hit Mismagius, knocking it back.
"Mismagius, Mystical Fire!" said Iono. Mismagius releases a stream of fire surrounded by rings of fire from its mouth that hits Floragato, dealing super effective damage.
"Floragato, use Hone Claws!" said Lincoln. Floragato's claws glowed red and he becomes surrounded by an orange aura, increasing his attack strength and accuracy.
"Mismagius, use Mystical Fire again!" said Iono. Mismagius releases another stream of fire surrounded by rings of fire from its mouth and it hits Floragato, dealing super effective damage; he drops to one knee.
"Don't give up, Floragato!" said Lincoln. As Floragato rises to his feet, a green aura surrounds his body. "Hey, your Overgrow ability activated; all right, Floragato, use Seed Bomb!" Floragato holds out his hands and unleashes glowing seeds from them and they hit Mismagius, making it fall towards the platform, as it does, its Tera Form shatters and she passes out before hitting the floor.
"Mismagius is unable to battle. Floragato is the winner. The winner of this gym battle is the challenger, Lincoln Loud." said the digital face.
"We did it, Floragato!" cheered Lincoln. Floragato lets out a sigh of relief.
"Way to go, Lincoln!" said Clyde.
"Linky did it!" said Leni.
"Iono was tough, but Lincoln pulled through in the end." said Lynn Jr.
"That was so cool." said Ronnie Anne. Back at Levincia, Iono returned Mismagius to its pokeball.
"You were great, Mismagius." said Iono. She puts Mismagius' pokeball away and looks at Lincoln who was rubbing Floragato's head; she blushes as she walks over to him with her Rotom Phone hovering in front of them. "Well, everyone, I hate to say it, but I lost! Thanks for cheerin' me on, anywho, my loyal fans!"
"At least it was an awesome battle, Iono!" said one of Iono's fans.
"We still think you're awesome!" said another fan. Iono then looks at her Rotom Phone.
"Wow, look at all the comments about our battle! Everyone thought it was intense!" said Iono.
"I have to agree with them! It really was amazing!" replied Lincoln. Iono then reaches into her pocket and pulls out a badge that had a lightning bolt design on it.
"For your victory here, I present you with the Levincia gym Electric Badge." said Iono. She gives Lincoln the badge, along with pokedollars.
"Thanks, Iono." said Lincoln.
"And just for you, Lincoln; I'm throwing in something else!" said Iono with a smile.
"Something else?" Lincoln replied before Iono wraps her arms around him in a hug and kisses him on the cheek, making his face turn completely red, Clyde and Iono's fans' jaws drop, Lincoln's sisters scream with delight, and his male friends back in Royal Woods looking on with jealousy while Ronnie Anne watches with an angry look on her face.
Ten minutes later at a Pokemon Center, Lincoln was waiting for his Pokemon to be healed while looking at a picture of Iono kissing him with a blush on his face while Clyde looks at him with a smirk on his; also on the photo was a handwritten message from Iono that read 'Call me sometime, cutie.' along with her Rotom Phone number.
"What did you think of that kiss, Lincoln?" asked Clyde.
"As stunning as a 100,000,000 volt Thunderbolt attack." said Lincoln in a stunned state. A minute later, the nurse was giving him back his Pokemon.
"They are all back to full health, young man." said the nurse.
"Thank you." said Lincoln. Suddenly, the sound of hundreds of fast-approaching footsteps appears, making the nurse turn to where it was coming from which makes a look of shock appear on her face.
"You might want to run, Lincoln." said the nurse.
"Why?" asked Lincoln. The nurse points to his right, making him and Clyde look to see, to Lincoln's horror, a large horde of Iono fans stampeding towards his location.
"There he is!" shouts an Iono fan.
"What was it like to be kissed by THE Iono?!" asked an Iono fan.
"How did you do it?!" asked another Iono fan.
"She really gave you her phone number?!" asked another Iono fan.
"Can I see it?!" asked another Iono fan.
"Oh no, not again!" shouts Lincoln.
"I thought we lost them!" said Clyde. After Iono was done kissing Lincoln and she gave him the photo and her phone number, he was swarmed by all the Iono fans who were at the gym battle, getting bombarded with question after question; it took him and Clyde a while to lose them and make their way to the Pokemon Center they were at right now.
"We gotta get out of here!" said Lincoln. He uses his Rotom Phone to quickly swap his Tinkatuff for his Cyclizar and lets him out of his pokeball while Clyde lets his Cyclizar out of hers; after that, the boys hop onto them and rode them out of Levincia as fast as they possibly could.
