Mossui Town
Lincoln and Clyde travel down the road towards their destination, all while taking in the local scenery.
"This place is really peaceful." said Clyde.
"Yeah, it's definitely not like back home." said Lincoln. They look to see a small town that was just past some steep fields of crops that were slightly submerged in water.
"That must be Mossui Town." said Clyde. He and Lincoln quickly run over and enter the town's limits.
"Okay, Clyde; now we have to find that community center." said Lincoln. Clyde looks ahead and sees a white building ahead of them.
"Maybe that's it over there." said Clyde, pointing at the building.
"Let's go see." said Lincoln. He and Clyde began to walk towards the building; as they did, they noticed two people standing near the entrance of the building; a boy with black hair, wearing a white and blue jacket over a blue collared shirt and red tie, white shorts, a red glove on his right hand, white and red shoes over blue socks, a yellow headband, and a yellow backpack and an older girl with black hair with red highlights, a blue shirt, blue pants, yellow fanny pack, a white belt, yellow headband, a red thumbless glove, and red and white shoes. The boy turned towards Lincoln and Clyde.
"Sis, look! Look! I think there's two of them there!" said the boy. The girl turned towards Lincoln and Clyde and runs over to them with the boy following her; the two reached Lincoln and Clyde.
"So, you're two of the students from the Paldea Region?" asked the girl.
"Whoa, way cool." said the boy.
"Hush, Kieran." said the girl. "I'm Carmine. Sorry, but I can't let outsiders like you two wander into Mossui Town."
"Look; we're supposed to tell the caretaker of the community center about our group's arrival." said Lincoln.
"Plus, we have a fellow student who's not feeling good." said Clyde.
"If you want to come in, one of you will have to battle me." said the girl, now identified as Carmine.
"C'mon, sis, you just want to battle." said the boy, now identified as Kieran. "You're making a big fuss over nothing."
"I told you to hush, Kiki!" said Carmine. "Just ignore my little brother." Kieran sulks in response while Clyde frowns.
"Kieran, I know your pain in having to deal with a bossy older sister." Lincoln says to Kieran.
"You have an older sister, too?" asked Kieran.
"I have five older sisters." said Lincoln, surprising Kieran.
"You have five sisters?" asked Kieran.
"Ten, actually." said Lincoln.
"Are you kidding me?!" Kieran replied.
"He's telling the truth." said Clyde.
"Enough talk!" shouts Carmine. "Are you going to battle me or not?"
"All right, I'll battle you." said Clyde, stepping forward.
"You sure, Clyde?" asked Lincoln.
"Definitely." replied Clyde.
"All right, let's do this." said Carmine. Lincoln and Clyde walked far from Carmine and Kieran while they did the same to make room for battle. Clyde and Carmine each pull out a pokeball.
"So, how many Pokemon are we using?" asked Clyde.
"How does three each sound?" asked Carmine.
"Sounds good to me." replied Clyde.
"I'm going to have fun with you." said Carmine. "Go, Poochyena!" She throws her pokeball and releases a quadrupedal, gray, canine-like Pokemon. Lincoln takes out his Rotom Phone and points it at the Pokemon.
"Poochyena, the Bite Pokemon. It bares its large fangs and barks vigorously to try to intimidate opponents, but this is actually a manifestation of its cowardly nature." said Lincoln's Rotom Phone.
"Quaxwell, go!" said Clyde, throwing Quaxwell's pokeball and releases him. "Quaxwell, use Work Up!" Quaxwell becomes surrounded by a light red aura and his attack strength increases.
"Poochyena, use Bite!" said Carmine. Poochyena runs at Quaxwell and bites his arm. Fortunately, Bite did not make Quaxwell flinch.
"Quaxwell, Low Sweep!" said Clyde. Quaxwell runs at Poochyena and kicks its front legs, dealing super effective damage to it, and knocking it out.
"What?!" exclaimed Carmine.
"Whoa." whispered Kieran.
"Way to go, Clyde." said Lincoln. Carmine returns Poochyena to its pokeball; she then pulls out another one.
"Go, Vulpix!" shouts Carmine as she throws a pokeball and releases a fox-like Pokemon with multiple tails. Lincoln points his Rotom Phone at the Pokemon.
"Vulpix, the Fox Pokemon. If it is attacked by an enemy that is stronger than itself, it feigns injury to fool the enemy and escapes." said Lincoln's Rotom Phone.
"Vulpix, Quick Attack!" said Carmine. Vulpix charges at Quaxwell with incredible speed and rams him, making him take a step back.
"Aqua Cutter!" said Clyde. Water surrounds Quaxwell's hand; he swings it and slashes Vulpix with it, dealing super effective damage, and knocking it out. Carmine looked with shock while Kieran looked on with amazement.
"Keep it up, Clyde." said Lincoln. Carmine growls while returning Vulpix to its pokeball; she puts it away and pulls out another one.
"You've gotten lucky so far, but your luck's about to run out." said Carmine. Clyde and Lincoln frown at the mention of the word, 'luck'. "Poltchageist, go!" She throws her pokeball and releases a Pokemon that looked like a black and white jar with a painted face on it and green arms. Lincoln points his Rotom Phone at the Pokemon.
"Poltchageist, the Matcha Pokemon. Supposedly, the regrets of a tea ceremony master who died before perfecting his craft lingered in some matcha and became a Pokémon." said Lincoln's Rotom Phone.
"Let's see you beat this Pokemon." said Carmine. "Poltchageist, Astonish!" Poltchageist flies at Quaxwell and it darkens and the eyes on its body turns red, scaring Quaxwell, and damaging him; fortunately, he doesn't flinch.
"Quaxwell, Wing Attack!" said Clyde. Quaxwell strikes Poltchageist with his arm, dealing super effective damage to it, and knocking it out.
"You got to be kidding me!" shouts Carmine.
"You did it, Clyde!" said Lincoln.
"Way to go, Quaxwell." said Clyde. Kieran looked on with a stunned look on his face.
"He beat all three of my sister's Pokemon with just one." Kieran said with amazement.
"This can't be." said Carmine as she drops to her knees before returning her Poltchageist to its pokeball; she walks to Clyde and glares at him. "There's no way you should've been able to beat me!"
"Yet I did." said Clyde. Carmine lets out a sigh and gives Clyde pokedollars.
"Seems like I've got no choice but to let you two into town, but only if you two become my grunts and do every little thing I..." Carmine started to say before a bald man with glasses, wearing a purple shirt, pants, and white socks over sandals suddenly runs over to them.
"Oi! What are you doing, causing a ruckus out here?" asked the man.
"Here comes trouble." muttered Carmine. "Come on, Kiki; we're out of here." She then turns and runs away.
"Wait up, sis!" said Kieran as he runs after Carmine. The man walks over to Lincoln and Clyde.
"Why, hello; you two boys must be from that Paldean academy, right?" asked the man.
"Yeah, that's us." said Lincoln.
"I'm the caretaker of the community center here in Mossui Town." said the caretaker. "I will be looking after your group during your visit. I just hope those two kids weren't giving you any grief just now, were they?"
"That Carmine girl gave us a little, but Clyde beat her in a Pokemon battle." said Lincoln.
"I hardly know what to do with those two." said the caretaker. "Especially Carmine. Always been a handful, that one."
"Hey; another student that's with us wasn't feeling so good at the bus stop." said Lincoln.
"Really?! I'd better get over there and give them a hand so they can make it to town." said the caretaker.
"We appreciate that, sir." said Clyde.
"You two get settled in at the community center." said the caretaker. "We'll catch up with you two soon."
"Yes, sir." said Lincoln. The caretaker runs past Lincoln and Clyde towards the direction of the bus stop. "Let's go, Clyde."
"Lead the way, buddy." said Clyde. He and Lincoln walked towards the community center; they were about to open the door when they hear the caretaker.
"This way, everyone." said the caretaker. They looked to see the caretaker with Ms. Brian and the other two Naranja Academy students following him.
"Lincoln, Clyde; I owe you two for fetching the caretaker." said Ms. Briar.
"You don't owe us anything, Ms. Briar." said Lincoln.
"We're just happy to help." said Clyde. Ms. Briar smiles in response.
"Well, your fellow classmate is feeling much better now." said Ms. Briar.
"That's good to hear." said Lincoln. The caretaker turned towards the other two students and points at the community center.
"This is the community center." said the caretaker. "This is where you'll be staying during your time in the Kitakami Region. The plan was to have you and the students from the Blueberry Academy stay here together, but it turns out this space will be all for you, our visitors from Naranja Academy."
"Oh, right; those two kids aren't originally from this town, weren't they?" asked Ms. Briar.
"So, in you come; don't be shy." said the caretaker, walking towards the community center with Lincoln, Clyde, Ms. Briar, and the two other Naranja Academy students following him.
Moments later, everyone was gathered in the community center lobby which had a front desk with a receptionist.
"Nice and clean inside, don't you think? It's all newly built, so it's as good as you'd find in one of your big fancy cities." said the caretaker. He points to a side of the lobby that had a rack full of pamphlets, an arch of seats around a table that had books on it, and a flatscreen TV above it.
"That there's the lounge; you can watch TV, chat, or relax however you like." said the caretaker. He also points out the cafeteria and the bathrooms, as well as the bedrooms. "That about covers everything; but if you run into any trouble, don't you hesitate to talk to our fine staff at the desk."
"Thank you for the tour, sir." said Ms. Briar. "All right, kids; do you have anything to say to the staff who'll be taking such good care of us?"
"We're glad to be here." said Lincoln.
"Thanks for having us." said Clyde. The caretaker smiles in response.
"Such well-mannered students; I can already tell you're going to be wonderful visitors." said the caretaker. "So, you just think of this place as your own home away from home and relax."
"You all must be tired after a long day." said Ms. Briar. "I know it's a bit early still, but why don't we have dinner, then call it a night."
"Sounds good to me." said Lincoln.
"We've got plenty of food ready for you all, so I hope you all bought your appetites." said the caretaker. Everyone walks to the cafeteria and had dinner.
Later that night while everyone was in their rooms, Lincoln decides to call up his family while Clyde called up on his dads.
"Hi, son." said Lynn Sr.
"How's Kitakami so far?" asked Rita.
"It's awesome." said Lincoln. "Just got to Mossui Town and I'm just chilling out in my room." He then tells everyone about what the town and community center was like, along with Clyde's battle with Carmine.
"I'm so proud of you over your victory, Clyde." said Howard McBride.
"Oh, I hope the staff there takes good care of you." said Harold McBride.
"I'm sure they will, Dad." said Clyde.
"Just keep enjoying yourself, son." said Lynn Sr.
"And make sure to catch more cute Pokemon for me!" said Lola.
"I know, I know." said Lincoln. "Well, talk to you all tomorrow; I'm gonna call Iono now." Lincoln's sisters squeal with delight in response.
"I'm sure she'll be glad to hear from you, Linky." said Leni.
"Good night, Lincoln." said Lori. They end the call and Lincoln calls Iono's phone.
"'Ello, ello, hola." said Iono.
"Ciao and bonjour, Iono." replied Lincoln.
"Hi, Linky!" said Iono with glee.
"I'm here in a place in Kitakami called Mossui Town." said Lincoln.
"What's it like there?" asked Iono.
"It's a small little town." said Lincoln. "I can give you a tour of it, along with the community center me and Clyde are staying at."
"That sounds nice." said Iono. Lincoln has his Rotom Phone follow after him while he shows Iono around the town.
"What do you think of Mossui, Iono?" asked Lincoln.
"It's definitely not like Levincia, that's for sure." said Iono.
"Tomorrow, I can show you a bit more of the surrounding area." said Lincoln. He hears Iono giggle a bit.
"You know, Linky; it's almost as if we're having a moonlit stroll together right now." said Iono.
"Kind of wish we really were." said Lincoln as he smiles with a blush on his face while rubbing the back of his head.
"Maybe when you get back to Paldea we can hang out together?" suggested Iono.
"I would like that." said Lincoln with a smile.
"Talk to you tomorrow, cutie." said Iono before blowing Lincoln a kiss, making him smile and blush before the call ends. Lincoln goes back to his room at the community center and goes right to sleep.
Back at the Loud House, Luan was sitting on the couch, watching television when the phone on the end table rings; Luan walks to it and picks up the recieiver and puts it against her ear.
"Hello?" asked Luan. Upstairs, Impidimp was holding a smartphone he took off Luan's nightstand and holds an airhorn against it; he pushes down on the airhorn, making a loud blare come out of it into the smartphone and into Luan's ear.
"Yaaaaah!" yelled Luan, losing her balance and falling on her butt. "Darn you, Impidimp!"
