Onward to Cortondo
Lincoln and Clyde were at 'Every 'wich Way', having lunch in Mesagoza while they were waiting for their Pokemon to be treated. Lincoln was talking to his family and friends on his Rotom Phone while Clyde was talking his dads on his about their day so far.
"You and Clyde actually battled a huge Pokemon?!" asked Lana.
"Well, technically, our Pokemon battled it." replied Lincoln.
"Are your Pokemon okay, Clyde?" asked Harold McBride.
"They're at the Pokemon Center being treated, but I'm sure they'll be okay." said Clyde.
"That's good to hear." said Howard McBride.
"Why would you take on something so big?" asked Lori.
"Arven needed the Herba Mystica it was supposed to be guarding." said Lincoln.
"Herba what?" replied Lola. Lincoln then tells them about the Herba Mystica and how Arven needs them for sandwich ingredients.
"Seems like a lot of trouble to go through for that." said Lori.
"So, what are you boys going to do now?" asked Lynn Sr.
"After lunch, we're heading to a city called Cortondo to challenge the gym leader there so I can earn a gym badge." said Lincoln.
"Gym badge?" Leni replies. Lincoln then goes on to tell everyone about the Paldea League and how they're required to collect badges from eight gyms in order to compete in it.
"That sounds so cool!" said Lynn Jr.
"Yeah, I'm excited about it, also." said Lincoln.
"What else happened to you all today?" asked Rita. Lincoln tells them about his Lechonk evolving to Oinkologne and lets him out of his pokeball to show them.
"Cool!" said Lana.
"I hope you kids are careful the next time you take on one of those Titan Pokemon." said Rita.
"And next time you take one on, we want to watch the battle." said Rusty.
"And we want to watch your gym battles, too." said Zach.
"No problem." said Lincoln.
"Just remember to be careful while travelling." said Howard McBride.
"And keep up with your studies." said Harold McBride.
"We will, Dads." said Clyde. After that, they end the call. After they finished lunch, they walk to the Pokemon Center to pick up their Pokemon.
"So, Clyde; should we start heading over to Cortondo?" asked Lincoln.
"You bet. After taking on that Titan Pokemon, I feel that I'm ready to take on the gym there." said Clyde.
"Oyee, Lincoln and Clyde!" they hear Nemona call out. They turn to see her walking over to them.
"Hey, Nemona; what's up?" asked Lincoln.
"So, how's your Treasure Hunt assignment?" asked Nemona.
"So far, we've beaten one of the Titan Pokemon and got that Herba Mystica for Arven." said Lincoln.
"And now we're going to Cortondo to take on the gym there." said Clyde.
"Great. Oh, and I have something for Clyde." said Nemona. She reaches into her backpack and pulls out a Tera Orb.
"A Tera Orb." said Clyde.
"Yeah; I think you're ready to use one." said Nemona. She gives Clyde the Tera Orb. "Do you know how to use it?"
"Yeah; I saw how Lincoln did when we took on that Titan Pokemon." replied Clyde.
"Great. Oh, and remember, after you use it, you have to go to a Pokemon Center to recharge it." said Nemona.
"Will do." said Clyde.
"Give it your all at the Cortondo Gym, you two." said Nemona.
"We will." said Lincoln. Nemona then went off somewhere. "Shall we get going, Clyde?"
"Lead the way." replied Clyde. They started travelling west until they reached the gate leading into an area called South Province Area Two, unaware that Charcadet was quietly following them.
Lincoln and Clyde exit Mesagoza and enter the area.
"I can't wait to see what Pokemon we find here." said Lincoln.
"Me, too." said Clyde. They look around the hilly terrain and quickly see a sheeplike Pokemon with a blue head and legs, yellow and black-striped ears and tail, which had an orange ball on the end of it.
"What's that?" asked Lincoln as he takes out his Rotom Phone and points it at the Pokemon.
"Mareep, the Wool Pokemon. If static electricity builds in its body, its fleece doubles in volume. Touching it will shock you." said Lincoln's Rotom Phone.
"Can I try catching this one?" asked Clyde.
"Go for it, buddy." said Lincoln. Clyde steps towards Mareep while pulling a pokeball out of his pocket.
"Ralts, go!" said Clyde, throwing Ralts pokeball and releasing him. Mareep turned towards Ralts. "Okay, Ralts, use Confusion!" Ralts eyes glowed purple and Mareep was lifted up from the ground, then gets slammed into the ground. Mareep gets up and glares at Ralts. It releases rings of electricity from its body, and they hit Ralts. Ralts begins twitching and it becomes covered in static.
"Oh man, Ralts is paralyzed!" said Lincoln. "I think that Mareep used Thunder Wave." Mareep suddenly becomes covered in static, and it begins twitching also.
"Looks like Ralts' Synchronize ability acitivated, so now Mareep has the same status condition Ralts has." said Clyde. "Okay, Ralts, try using Psybeam!" Unfortunately, paralysis stops Ralts from attacking. Mareep charges at Ralts and rams him. "I'm guessing that was Tackle. Okay, Ralts, try using Psybeam again!" Ralts fights through his paralysis and fires a multicolored beam of energy from his hands, and it hits Mareep, knocking it to the ground. Clyde takes out an empty pokeball and throws it at Mareep, hitting it, and sucking it in. After it wiggled around a few times, it clicks, indicating Mareep's capture.
"Way to go, Clyde!" said Lincoln. Mareep's pokeball vanishes and is transported to storage. Clyde uses his Rotom Phone to look up Mareep's information.
"This says Mareep's an electric type, it's a boy, he knows Tackle, Growl, Thunder Wave, Thunder Shock, Cotton Spore, and Charge." said Clyde. "He has the Static ability which has a chance of paralyzing a Pokemon that attacks him physically." Clyde then takes a Paralyze Heal out of his backpack and sprays Ralts with it to cure him of his paralysis. "You were great, Ralts." Ralts smiles in response, and he begins to glow.
"Ralts is evolving!" said Lincoln. They watched as Ralts began to glow. When the glowing stopped, Ralts was now taller, his eyes can be seen, he had a red horn on each side of his head, he had green side ponytails coming down each side of his head, his legs were green and slender while his arms are white and slender, and he had sort of a white tutu around his waist. Clyde points his Rotom Phone at his newly evolved Ralts.
"Kirlia, the Emotion Pokemon, and the evolved form of Ralts. It has a psychic power that enables it to distort the space around it and see into the future." said Clyde's Rotom Phone.
"Congratulations on your Ralts evolving, Clyde." said Lincoln.
"Thanks, buddy." said Clyde.
"Shall we get going?" asked Lincoln.
"Lead the way." said Clyde. He and Lincoln start to make their way through South Province Area Two. What other Pokemon and adventures await them as their Treasure Hunt continues?
