Onward to Brooklet Hill
It was Saturday morning at at the Hau'oli City Marina, where Lincoln and his friends were on a boat that was bound for the next island in Lincoln's Island Challenge.
"So where's my next Island Trial at on Akala Island?" asked Lincoln.
"It's at Brooklet Hill." explained Alola Lana. "We'll be docking at Heahea City where we'll head down Route 4; after that we have to go through Paniola City."
"It's a city located near my family's ranch." said Kiawe. "We usually get supplies there."
"Once we get past the Paniola Ranch, we need to head north of there up Route 5, and we'll eventually reach Brooklet Hill." explained Alola Lana.
"What's the trial itself like?" asked Lincoln.
"You'll find out when you get there." said Alola Lana. The boat soon starts moving across the water towards its location. While Lincoln was watching the horizon for the next island, his Rotom Phone starts to ring; he takes it out of his pocket and puts on video chat to see his family and friends, along with the Morticians Club, and Jackie and Mandee, in the Loud family's living room.
"Alola, everyone." said Lincoln.
"Hey, Lincoln!" said Ronnie Anne with a grin on her face.
"Did you get the Hawlucha I sent over?" asked Lincoln. Ronnie Anne nods before reaching into her hoodie's pocket and pulls out a pokeball; she then tosses it, releasing her Hawlucha.
"She's so cool!" said Ronnie Anne. "We have fun wrestling around with each other."
"Hey, Lincoln?" said Liam.
"Yeah, Liam?" replied Lincoln.
"Do you think you can wrangle up some more Miltanks?" asked Liam.
"Why?" Lincoln replied.
"Well, Pa tried some of the milk from the Miltank you sent me and he can't get enough of it." said Liam. "He sold some at a market and everyone who tried some are buying it faster than we can keep up with."
"I'll see if I can find some more, just not on Kiawe's ranch." said Lincoln.
"Send some more as soon as you can, partner." said Liam.
"So, what are you up to now, son?" asked Lynn Sr. Lincoln then tells everyone how he's on his way to Akala Island for another Island Trial.
"Do your best, Lincoln." said Rita.
"Totes." said Leni.
"Would you mind looking after Pikachu for me?" asked Lincoln.
"Oh, I would love to look after that cutie!" said Leni.
"When I get to Heahea City, I'll go to the Pokemon Center and send her over to you." said Lincoln.
"Thanks, Linky!" said Leni.
"Did you get the accessories from Alola Sunrise that I sent over?" asked Lincoln.
"We sure did." said Lori as she, Leni, Lola, Jackie, and Mandee all showed him the necklaces and head accessories he sent a couple days ago.
"Thanks for buying us these, Lincoln." said Lola.
"Hey, we're almost there." said Sophocles. Everyone looks to see Akala Island coming over the horizon. The boat soon docks at a marina near a large city.
"That must be Heahea City." said Lincoln. The boat soon docks at a harbor and everyone gets off. They enter the city and start looking around, while Lincoln shows everyone back at the Loud house all the stores and things, including the Tide Song Hotel.
"Wow, that hotel literally looks fancy." said Lori.
"Yeah, but the Hano Grand Resort is the most luxurious hotel in Alola." said Mallow.
"Can we see it?" asked Lola.
"Unfortunately, the bridge that leads to it was damaged in a big storm we had a while back; repairs are almost done, but it will still be a while before anyone can use it." said Lillie.
"Dang it." said Lola.
"So, where's Route 4?" asked Lincoln.
"It starts near the Tide Spot hotel." said Alola Lana.
"Let's get going." said Mallow.
"Can I head for the Pokemon Center so I can send my sister, Leni, my Pikachu first?" asked Lincoln.
"Sure, we got all day to get to Brooklet Hill." said Mallow. The group heads to the Pokemon Center, where Lincoln uses the PC to send his Pikachu to the Loud house.
Once that was done, the group starts to head to Route 4, unaware that a black ghostlike Pokemon with a white tree stump on its head, was watching Lincoln from a tunnel entrance on the south side of the city; a few seconds later, the Pokemon starts following after the group.
Lincoln and his friends soon arrive at Route 4 and start heading down it, while Lincoln was looking around at the jungle area.
"How long do you think it will take for us to get to Brooklet Hill?" asked Lincoln.
"At this rate, it should take about an hour." said Alola Lana.
"That doesn't sound so bad." said Lincoln. The group continues to walk until they hear some rustling from some grass.
"What's that?" asked Sophocles. The group head over to where the noise was coming from to see an Eevee sniffing around.
"It's an Eevee." said Lincoln.
"It's so cute!" said Lola.
"Catch it for us, Linky!" said Leni.
"Okay, then." said Lincoln. He takes out his Lillipup's pokeball and releases him from it, getting the Eevee's attention, making it get into a battle stance.
"Looks like it's ready for a battle." said Kiawe.
"So are we." said Lincoln. "Okay, Lillipup, use Leer!" Lillipup stares harshly at the Eevee, making it nervous, as well as lowering its defense power. The Eevee responds by running at Lillipup and ramming him.
"That's Tackle." said Sophocles.
"Well, let's show it our Tackle!" said Lincoln. Lillipup runs at the Eevee and rams into it, knocking it onto its side. Lincoln then quickly takes out an empty pokeball and tosses it at the Eevee, hitting it, and sucking it in; the pokeball wiggles a few times before clicking.
"You did it, Linky!" said Lola. The Eevee's pokeball then vanishes to storage. Lincoln then looks at his Rotom Phone to see his new Pokemon's information.
"This says that Eevee's a girl, she knows Covet, Helping Hand, Growl, Tackle, Tail Whip, Sand Attack, Baby-Doll Eyes, and Quick Attack; plus she has the Run Away ability which allows her to escape any battle successfully." said Lincoln.
"What are you going to do with it?" asked Lillie.
"Maybe I'll train her for a while." said Lincoln. "Eevees have an evolved form that I'm certain that Lola would love, and I want to try to turn the one I caught into it before I send it over to Lola.
"What's the evolved form like?" asked Lola.
"I'll make it a surprise." said Lincoln.
"Well, hurry up and do it!" said Lola.
"The next time I'm at a Pokemon Center, I'll swap Eevee for one of my Pokemon and I'll get started." said Lincoln.
"There's a town coming up called Paniola where my family buys supplies at." said Kiawe. "There's a Pokemon Center there you can do that at."
"Thanks, Kiawe." said Lincoln. When he looks over at Lillipup, he sees him digging around in the dirt.
"What's he doing?" asked Luan.
"Lillipup has the Pickup ability; maybe he found something." said Lincoln. Lillipup picks up a three-sided object that was shades of blue, purple, and pink.
"It's pretty." said Lola.
"What is it?" asked Lori.
"That's a Prism Scale." said Alola Lana.
"What's it for?" asked Lincoln.
"Well, let's just say if your sister, Lola, wants a beautiful Pokemon, then you might want to hold onto it until you find a Feebas." said Alola Lana.
"What's a Feebas?" asked Lincoln.
"It kind of looks like a tan-colored Magikarp with brown spots, and blue fins." said Alola Lana. "You can find some on Brooklet Hill."
"Then it's a good thing I brought my fishing rod." said Lincoln.
"A Feebas will evolve when you do a trade with one while it's holding a Prism Scale." explained Alola Lana.
"What Pokemon will it turn into?" asked Lincoln.
"You'll see." said Alola Lana.
"Well, let's get going to Brooklet Hill then." said Lincoln. The group continues on their way to their destination, unaware that they were being followed by the ghostly, stump-headed Pokemon.
