Enter the Survival Horror Chapter 4

They open the doors and find a new path leading to a church. They head over to the double doors, only to find them locked.

"Let's try this little square area." Bec said pointing to the right, up a couple of stairs.

"Not yet." Billy said, surprising both girls.

"Let's check around the building before we do." he said.

They do and find an elevator, but it had no power. Billy tries a gate nearby, but it was locked.

"Let's see what that stone room has to offer." Rebecca says.

They headed back over there and up the steps to check out the room. Bec 'accidently' steps on the tile that goes down, whole checking it over, and they hear a click over by the church doors.

"Interesting." Bec said. 'Now what?' Bec knows at least one of them has to stay here.

"Me and Rebecca will check it out, you are going to stay here and keep on that tile." Billy tells Bec.

"Billy.. We can't leave h-" Rebecca tries to protest, but Billy turns to her.

"I know she is a civilian, but there is no threat here. Not to mention, she can defend herself. It is highly possibly that there are enemies inside the church. Considering the size, it would be best for her to stay here until we figure out how to go foreword." he said.

".. Very well." Rebecca reluctantly agrees. She did not like this idea, mainly because they couldn't get to Bec quick enough if trouble happened.

"Are you sure?" Bec asks.

"Yeah, we should be fine, though what kind of creatures do you think we will run into in there?" he asks her.

".. Be on the look out for bats, they like roosting in buildings like that." was all Bec said.

"Ok, let's head in." Billy said.

He and Rebecca head inside the church, finding benches on both sides with a hole in the ceiling. They approach the far wall that had an alter on it.

"I don't know why, but as I look at this painting.. I feel something disturbing." Rebecca said, looking at the alter.

"Well, considering everything we've come across, this place is most likely like the training facility. There's something dark here." Billy said. he was looking at the alter.

Finding nothing in the area they're in, they go into the only other room in this place, the back room.

They find some ammo, including shotgun shells. "This place didn't have controls to operate the elevator. It must be on the backside of the church, where you couldn't get the gate to open." Rebecca said.

"Yeah, you know we where we saw that hole? I should be able to hook shot it and that could get me to the back." Billy said.

"Sound like a plan." she said.

They go back into the main part of the church, but as they walk towards the alter, they hear something, a loud screech. They look up and see, to their surprise, a huge bat comes in from the hole ceiling.

It screeches once more before going on the attack. They dodge it and ready their weapons.

They shoot at it a couple of times and it screeches in pain before swooping down to grab Billy. "Let him go!" Rebecca shouts at it.

As she shoots at it, Billy struggles to free himself, regular sized bats come in from the hole. The giant bat drops Billy, once Rebecca hit it too many times.

"Focus on the smaller bats! I'll take care of the oversized one!" Billy shouts to her as he gets back to his feet. He could see that the smaller bats were obeying the larger one.

They shoot at the bats for a good minute, the large one tries to grab one of them again, they move before it could get them. Eventually, the large bat dies, with one last screech, and the remaining smaller ones leave once their leader was no more.

They look at the bat, which lay at the center of the room, to make sure it was dead.

Billy then moves to get right under the ceiling, where the hole is and uses the hook shot. It connects, with the church roof.

"Ok, you get Bec and go to the elevator. I'll be there once, I get the power on." Billy tells Rebecca.

"Shouldn't I treat you first?" Rebecca takes notice of injuries sustained by the bats.

"Fine, but make it quick." he said. Rebecca applies first aid to Billy and herself.

When she was done, Billy shoos her away, "Go on, I'll meet you two."

"Ok." Rebecca said leaving through the double doors.

Billy then grabs the hook shot and goes up it. He was also thinking. Earlier, when they arrived at the church he came up with an idea to see if Bec knew things and he was right.

'Bec knows more than she's letting on.' as he gets to the roof.

'When she mentioned bats in the church. She must've meant the giant one, not just the smaller ones.' he goes over to the ladder at the end of the roof and goes down it.

'However, given how the training facility looks, it had to have been abandoned at least ten years ago, if not more.' he gets off the ladder once he reaches ground.

'She would've been far too young to have been here, but then how does she know about this place?' he turns on the elevator power, which was near the ladder.

'She isn't with Umbrella, that much I can say for sure.' as he heads over to the gate, grabbing a red plant.

He unlocks the gate, but doesn't open it, 'One last thing.. How did she know that I can play the piano? I never once talked about it.' Billy wonders about Bec and how she knows things.

"Billy?" Rebecca calls out to him from the other side gate, snapping out of his thoughts.

"In a moment!" he calls back. '.. It might be for the best I keep what I found out to myself right now.' Billy didn't want to keep it a secret but he didn't think talking about it was a good idea.

He opens the gate and goes over to where the girls are. "Are we ready?" he asks, handing the herb over to Rebecca, who makes it into powder.

"Yeah, we're good." Bec said.

They pile inside the elevator and it goes down. 'We're now in lab territory, things are going to get hectic.' Bec thinks over what they need to do to get out of here.

'I'm glad that I didn't have to face the bat boss, but next one, I most likely will have to... I think Billy is onto me.' Bec had thought over Billy's actions since they left the bar room.

'I hope he doesn't ask how I know things.' Bec really didn't want to answer that question, mainly because she was sure he wouldn't believe her.

The doors part open to reveal a passage, which they go down until they find a door that can take them somewhere.

They head into a place filled with books and see a dead body. Not taking any chances, Billy shoots at it's head.

"This place has a number of books on viruses, but I can't seem to place most of them." Rebecca said, as she looks over the bookcases.

Bec then 'finds' the second page of Marcus' diary. "Check this out." she shows them the paper.

Trouble is unlikely, but I closed my babies up in a special capsule. But it won't be safe if I hold on to it myself.

I'll hide it in that place.

"To hide a leaf, put it in a forest."

To open the capsule, the special stripping agent is necessary.

No way Spencer's lackeys could figure out how to make it...

"Stripping agent? I wonder if he is talking about what Umbrella was doing with this chemical." Rebecca said, holding up the green chemical she still had and reminding them what the note said about it and it's partners.

"Might be.. Hey there's a small lift." Bec said, looking at a contraption in the wall.

Rebecca checks it out, "There's nothing in here, but it seems to work like the lift on the train." she tells them.

"About the note, what do you think Marcus meant by his 'babies'?" Billy asks.

"Well, the only thing he seemed to have cared about was his leeches. Maybe he had something made like that? It is hard to say however, due to the page being torn." Bec said.

"Hey, there's a hole in the ceiling." Rebecca said, looking up, near a book case.

Billy and Bec go over to where she is. "I'll take the hook shot and go up there. You two are to stay here for now." Billy said.

Billy readies the hook shot, Bec speaks, "Remember to watch out for zombies, leeches and whatever else, maybe the creatures we saw in the basement."

Billy shoots the hook shot and tugs it once it connected, he looks at Bec, "I'll keep an eye out. Thanks." he said. He goes up to the floor above to a new room.

He looks around to see a computer and jar containers, big and small. He checks over the computer, but there was no power. He did find papers though in the chair, it had been a diary.

Today, under Director Marcus' orders, I changed the platform entry code.

Later, I asked him what the source of the entry code was. He told me it was based on something significant in his children's growth.

But the director's a loner; he isn't married, and he sure doesn't have any children...

What did he mean?

"Children? He must mean his leeches, if he had no children of his own. Still, we might need that platform entry code. Hopefully somewhere around here, there's a way of figuring out the code." he said, putting the diary away.

He looks around some shelving to find a gas can, then hears a moan behind him. He turns and sees a leech monster heading his way. It tries to hit him but he dodges it, taking note of things behind it.

He lures the creature away from the middle shelving aera, then gets around it to get over there. He grabs an empty wine bottle and goes over to a machine that contains capsules.

He pushes a button, one glows and comes out. He grabs it before quickly dodging the monster as it attacks him. Just before leaving the room he spies a map and grabs it before leaving the room.

Billy catches his breath, 'That was close. I didn't want to waste ammo on it and I certainly didn't have enough time to make a cocktail.'

When he is ready, he looks over the map he found to find that it had two copies. 'I'm in the corridor on the B1 floor and the girls are a floor below in the reference room.'

He looks over the map to see buttons on the wall, which then he looks back at the map. He could see that the buttons could control the wall that cut them off from the rest of the B2 floor.

He pushes one button and the wall goes up, which gives the girls access to the rest of floor. He heads down the corridor, there was nothing else he could do.

The first door on his right was locked, so he went to the last door at the end of the corridor, deciding to open the door with a warning sticker another time.

He heads in and shoots at the zombie moving and the two bodies on the ground so they don't come after him. He looks around to find another chemical case but this one had the color red. 'I'll tell the girls about it.'

He then sees some papers and reads them.

Leech Growth Records

February 3rd, 1978
Administrated "T" into 4 leeches. Their will to survive leads them first to parasitism and predation. Then they breed and multiply. Such a single-minded biology makes them attractive candidates for bio-weapons research. Afterwards, no major changes observed.

February 10th, 1978
7 days since administration of "T". Rapid growth to double former size, signs of transformation emerging. Spawning successful. They double their numbers in one hour, but their ravenous appetites lead them to cannibalism. Hastened to increase food supply, but lost 2.

March 7th, 1978
Provided them with live feed, but lost half when the live food fought back. However, the leeches are learning from experience, and are beginning to exhibit group attack behavior. They are also ceasing cannibalism. Their evolution is exceeding expectations.

April 22nd, 1978
The leeches no longer exhibit individual behavior, even when not feeding. They move as a collective. They consume everything I offer with remarkable efficiency.

April 30th, 1978
An employee has stumbled onto my experiments. Can a human be a food source? How will the leeches respond?

June 3rd, 1978
A day worthy of commemoration. Today they begin to mimic me!
Surely they recognize their father...
Wonderful children. No one will take you away...

"That settles it, he recognizes the leeches as his kids, but some of the notes are highlighted in different ink. I wonder if this isn't what the diary talked about." Billy said, putting away the papers.

He then leaves the room by going through the double doors and sees to his right, the lift which connects to the one in the reference room. He then radios the girls, "Rebecca, come in. Over." he said.

"We're here. Over. she said.

"I'm right now at the lift, I'm gonna send you two some papers, a map and a capsule. Over." he said.

"Roger, go ahead. Over." Rebecca said.

Billy places all the papers and map on the lift and sends it down to them. When that was done, he then sends down the capsule to them.

He radios them again, "Ok, now I'm sending down a cocktail. Be careful with it. Over." he said.

He then makes a Molotov cocktail and sends it down, when he hears something behind him. He turns and hears moaning. He moves to the corner, cautiously, before peeking around it to see three zombies wandering.

He leaves the corner and blows their heads off so that they won't be a threat anymore. He looks over the room, finding a first aid spray, a door that needs some kind of key and a report.

He reads it.

Investigator's Report

Dr. Marcus. Co-founder, with President Spencer, of the Umbrella Corporation. Disappeared 20 years ago. The results of his research have been kept under wraps the entire time.

The reason became clear here at the Training facility run by Dr. Marcus... ...well, not here exactly, but underground. When we ventured below, we understood...

There we found evidence of Dr. Marcus' research into the T-virus prototype called "Progenitor." The evidence of years of hideous experimentation that used company employees as guinea pigs.

We cannot know how many were forced to become subjects, but based on the evidence, no less than twenty individuals were involved; some of them were taken deliberately to keep the corporation's secret safe.

Where the Doctor is now I don't know. But considering the recent rapid growth of the Umbrella Corporation, I can't help but think that this research is continuing.

Yes...His experiment lives and continues to grow in the dark.

Those things, the "fruit" of his research, they fill this facility.

"That's where it ends. The rest of it seems to have been torn out, quite recently too." he said.

He heads back to the lift and radios the girls. "Hey, sorry I went silent there, but I had to take care of some zombies. I then found a first aid spray and a report. I'm sending them down. Over." he said.

"Ok. Over." Rebecca said.

Billy puts the items on the lift and sends it down. "By the way, I found a red chemical in a lab up here and in the room I'm currently in, another green chemical. And I was able to remove that wall, when we first came in here, so there should be a path. Be careful. There might be creatures. Over." Billy informs them.

"Ok, we'll see if we can't find a way up there. Stay by the lift. Over." Rebecca said.

She puts away her radio as Bec puts away the last of the things in the backpack. She puts it back on, before turning to Rebecca, "We better get moving." she said.

"Right... Are you sure you don't want to stay here?" Rebecca asks.

Bec had been lost in her thoughts while trembling, she noticed, while Billy had been moving on the floor above.

Bec shakes her head, "I'll be fine. I rather not leave you alone." she tells her. 'I don't want to be alone.'

"Ok, let's go then." Rebecca said, she could see right through her.

They open the door slowly and hear something move in the hall. Bec brings out a cocktail, letting Rebecca believe it was because she recognized it.

They step out and Bec throws the cocktail at it, before whipping out her gun and helps Rebecca shoot at it, until it was gone.

They turn the corner to find a chemical station, it was a red chemical one. "Hey, this can make that stripping agent." Bec said, bringing out the capsule with the blue leech inside of it.

Rebecca grabs one small container and mixes it with the green one. She then applies the agent on the capsule, in which the stuff on it goes away and Bec opens the capsule, getting the charm.

"You should grab another red one. Just in case we find a blue one and need to make sulfuric acid." Bec said, looking down the hall.

"All right." Rebecca said, grabbing another one.

"Let's check out the door at the end. When I looked at the map, it said that is where Marcus' study is, there might be something in there." Bec said.

"Sounds like a good idea, the other door seems to need a special key to unlock it." she said.

Rebecca grabs the herbs in the hall, makes them into medicine, before putting them away in the backpack. They get to the door leading to the study and Bec inserts the leech charm and they hear it unlock.

Rebecca opens the door, sees no threat in the room and heads in with Bec following her.

They check over the room, Bec finds handgun ammo and Rebecca finds the input regulator coil and..

"This photo.." Rebecca said looking it over. It said on the back, 'To James, To commemorate your Graduation, 1939'

"The man in the photo looks like the man we saw on the train. So he maybe Marcus' son or most likely grandson." she said.

"I don't think so." Bec said, taking off her backpack and rummaging through it.

"Why is that?" Rebecca asks.

Bec brings out the papers that Billy sent earlier. "According to these documents, Marcus never married or had children of his own. In fact, he acknowledged his leeches as if they were his children." she said, handing the paper to Rebecca to look over.

She looks over them and sees that Bec was right, Marcus was a loner preferring his experiments over people. His leeches were his pride and joy, nothing else mattered to him and their ability to evolve with what he was doing with them.

".. Still it bothers me, that the young man we saw and Marcus when he was a young man, look so much alike." she said, handing Bec back the papers and photo.

"I can't really say as to how that works." Bec said, putting back on the bag once it was sorted.

'Well, I can, but then Rebecca will want to know how I know about that.' Bec didn't want any distractions right now.

They head into the door leading to the private room, where an art collection, probably worth millions, and a zombie wandering around. Rebecca takes care of the one wandering and Bec takes care of the body slumped against the wall.

They explore the room, with Bec finding the green leech charm. "Say, Rebecca, can you radio Billy?" she asks, grabbing the charm off the statue.

"What for?" Rebecca asks, she couldn't find anything else in the room.

"The blue charm that Billy gave us, unlocked the blue door to the study. However, I did not see a door that is the color green. Billy might've seen one. If so, we should give this to him." she said.

"One second." Rebecca says, grabbing her radio, "Billy? Come in. Over." she said.

"I'm here. What's up? Over." he asks.

"Did you happen to have come across a green door? Over." she asks.

"Yes, it's in the same room I'm in right now, but it needs some kind of key that looks like it's the shape of a leech. Over." he replies.

"We have the key, we'll head back to the reference room and send it up. Over." she said.

"All right, but when you do, stay in there until I say you can come out. Over." he said.

"Fine. Over." Rebecca said, disconnecting the radio.

Just as the girls turn towards the door, the zombie gets up, the bullets didn't kill it. It then grabs Rebecca, who screams as it touched her.

Bec launches a round house kick at it, dislodging it from her. It staggers but does not go down and is still near Rebecca. She quickly whips out her gun and turns around to shoot at it.

She hits the mark but jumps, away from the zombie as it falls forward to her, and into Bec.

"Oof!" both girls say as they fall to the ground.

"Sorry, Bec." Rebecca apologizes. She landed on top of Bec with her back facing her.

"It's ok." Bec said.

Rebecca tries to get up, but she places one of her hands on something soft. 'What?' she wonders as she squeezes it.

"Rebecca.." Bec then growls out.

Rebecca then turns red, as she realized what it was and quickly removes her hand from Bec's breast.

She gets up off of Bec and stands up, with Bec following suit.

"I'm sorry!" Rebecca said.

".. Let's just go." Bec said, not happy.

She and Bec leave for the reference room and get over to where the lift is. Bec puts the charm on it and sends it up.

Billy takes the charm and heads over to the door. He fits the charm into the indentation and the door unlocks.

He heads into the morgue, sees a zombie crawling and a body hanging out of a refrigerated drawer. He shoots them both before scoping the room and finds a container.

'This is a sterilizing agent! This can help with the gas chamber in the other room.' Billy grabs it and leaves for the next room.

He gets to the gas chamber and opens the control panel to put the agent inside. Then he presses a button and a couple of minutes pass, before the gas was completely neutralized.

He looks through the glass and sees a body inside as well as a key. He goes to the door, opens it. He then grabs the key, remembering the door that was locked when he tried it.

He heads back to that door, unlocks it and readies himself, remembering that the map said it was called the breeding room.

He goes in and hears croaking noises. 'It's those monsters that I fought in the basement.'

He turns the corner and shoots the first one before moving out of the way, as the other one attacks him. He gets to the other end of the room, near the door, and shoots at the second one until it went down, for good.

He then finds a dial, 'Wonder where you go?' he thinks before pocketing it.

Lastly he finds a report and reads it.

B.O.W. Report
Research to date has shown that when the Progenitor virus is administrated to living organisms, violent cellular changes cause a breakdown in the system. Furthermore, no satisfactory method has been found to control the organisms for use as weapons.
Clearly, greater coordination at the cellular level is essential to enable further growth. I conducted a number of experiments in an effort to find a breakthrough. This is my report:

Insecta
Perhaps because these ancient animals have been genetically stable for millennia, when administered with the progenitor virus they exhibit only explosive, high-energy growth and increased aggressiveness.
It is extremely difficult to envision using them as B.O.W.

Amphibia
Injecting a frog with the virus resulted in an increase in leaping power and abnormal tongue growth. However, no change in mental ability was observed. Furthermore, an abnormal appetite resulted in the test subject randomly attacking all moving objects. Usefulness for B.O.W. is limited.

Mammalia
The progenitor virus was merged with monkey's cellular DNA, resulting in increased fertility. The resulting young exhibited improved aggressiveness and some increased mental capacity. (As a side effect, visual power was lost, but this was offset by an improvement in hearing ability.)
However, they were unsatisfactory as weapons.
It does seem that no progress can be made without making humans the base organism.

'The insecta and mammalia, this guy talks about are creatures we've already come across. The ampibia is one we have not.. I wonder if their still around like the other two? There is no mention of the creatures I just fought, so they must've been a later experiment.' Billy thinks over the report.

He then radios the girls, "Hey, I found a report and dial. Over." he tells them.

"Can you send us the dial? I think it can go on the door that we couldn't open earlier. Over." Bec asks.

"Sure, I'll also send the report to you. Over." Billy said. He puts away his radio and goes back to the operations room. He sends the dial and report down to them.

Rebecca gives the report to Bec, who 'looks' it over. "This describes three B.O.W's. We encountered the monkeys and large insects but not the frog like ones." Bec said, putting away the report.

"Do you think that they are.. like the green skinned monsters? Instead of amphibians, they're reptiles?" she asks. They leave the room.

"No, it sounded like they were.. primitive compared to those. They are still on four legs and have long tongues with ravenous appetites." Bec said. They were at the door and Rebecca puts the dial on it.

Bec drags out the papers that were found in the leech lab. "The combination should be in here." she said.

Rebecca reads it again and turns the dial to the numbers. The door unlocks and they head in.

They see a cable car, "Now this is more like it." Rebecca said excitedly. They go over to check it out.

'I wish I could share her excitement.' are Bec's thoughts. She knows that while it can take them out of the lab, they will still be trapped in this nightmare for awhile.

Rebecca radios Billy. "Billy here. Over." he said.

"We've found an aerial cable car! We can finally get out of here!" she tells him.

"Wait there! I'm heading your way!" Billy said happily.

"Roger that! Let's get out of here as soon as possible. Out." Rebecca puts her radio away with a smile.

She turns to Bec, but sees that she was not happy. "Bec?" she calls to her, concerned.

Bec snaps out of her thoughts, "Sorry, Rebecca.. I was distracted." she tells her.

"It's fine, aren't you glad that we're getting out of here?" Rebecca asks her.

"The bridge over there doesn't connect with the floor above. Billy will have no way down here. The controls are over there." Bec said. She goes over to the wall and pulls the switch.

The bridge then connects with the floor, but Rebecca stares at her. 'She didn't answer me.. Does she think we won't get out of here?' Rebecca wonders why Bec isn't excited.

"Rebecca, there's something by the cable car." Bec said, once she turned to face the transport and points.

Rebecca looks at where Bec was pointing and finds an output regulator coil. "This ought to help bring power the cable car. Let's go up the ladder." she said, grabbing it.

Just as they reach the top, a door on this floor opens and Billy comes in. "Hey you two. Glad to see your all right." he said walking over to them.

"Glad to see you too." Bec said.

"Hey! I found a couple of wine bottles!" Rebecca said. She looked around as they came up.

The girls grab the items as Billy checks the control room, but he comes to them with a gas can. "We got a problem, the control room door is locked." he said, giving Bec the gas can.

"Great, we searched this place from top to bottom. The key must've disappeared with the passage of time." Rebecca said frustrated.

"There is a hole the control room. We can hook shot into it." Bec said. She was by the room, 'looking' through the windows.

"I'll take care of it." Billy said, going over to the ladder. As he goes to the hole, he thinks about Bec.

'Somethings amiss.. Why is Bec not happy that we can leave this place?.. Are we not going to be able to escape?' he hook shots into the control room. When he is back on solid ground, he grabs some ammo and unlocks the door.

The girls come in and they look over the controls. "This thing needs an input regulator and output regulator. Rebecca and I found the output one." Bec said.

"I found the input, we have everything. Let's get this thing started." Billy said.

They put the coils where there suppose to go, then they flip a few switches and the power comes back on.

"Let's go." Billy said.

They leave the control room and climb back down the ladder. As they go over to the cable car, Bec looks around.

"What is it?" Billy asks, once they get to the doors and stop, they haven't opened them yet.

"I think I heard something." she said. Bec then looks up. "Shit!" she shouts.

The other two look up and see an mutated monkey, it jumps down before Billy could shoot at it. It attacks Rebecca, then tries to get Bec but she shoots at it. Billy then gets rid of it.

"Look out!" Bec cried out to Billy.

Another one comes out of nowhere and tries to bite him, but Billy holds it back. However, it had increased strength, thanks to the virus and sadly before either of the girls could grab him, he and monkey fall over the railing into darkness.

"No!" both girls shout. They look over the railing but they don't see Billy anywhere.

Bec then grabs a cocktail and turns around, in which Rebecca becomes confused, until she turns her head to see a leech monster. "Ah!" she said in surprise, turning all the way around, as Bec threw the cocktail at it.

They shoot at it until it was gone. "We better go back to the control room." Bec said. The power turned off for some reason, as they were fighting the leech monster.

".. You stay here. I'll take care of it." Rebecca said.

As Rebecca climbs up the ladder, she thinks about what happened. 'I didn't see the monkey until Bec swore at it. She said she heard something.. but I didn't hear anything.'

She reaches the top and walks to the room. 'Then when Billy fell, Bec immediately turned around and attacked the leech monster.. It was like she knew it would be there.'

Inside the room, she grabs the output coil and puts it back, turning on the power again and leaves. 'Billy was right. Bec knows more than she lets on, but.. there was no way that she was a student here. This place was closed for what, over ten years? Also, she is not with Umbrella. I'm sure of that.'

She gets to the ladder and goes down. 'Bec.. how do you know this place?'

She gets back over to Bec, who had the doors open. "Rebecca?" Bec asks, at seeing her face.

".. Let's get on." she said, going inside the cable car.

Bec follows her in silence. 'She's onto me.. What should I do?' Bec had known, that sooner or later, Rebecca and Billy would figure out there something was wrong about her.

However Bec still did not know how to answer their questions.

On the car, they find a dead body and a couple of magnums. ".. Here, let me put these inside your bag. These will have firepower. Use what your doing with the handgun, but be prepared for the kickback." Rebecca said, putting both of them inside.

Bec takes a seat as Rebecca starts the cable car. As the cable car moves, the silence between them is deafening.

It took three minutes but they arrive at the factory. 'We're not out of here just yet. Bec knew this.' Rebecca realizes as they dock.

As Bec gets up, Rebecca turns to her, ".. Bec.. let me know if there's any surprises coming, ok?" she said.

Rebecca had decided to ask Bec how she knew about the training facility, how she knew about the monsters, and how she knew they would get here, when they are not in danger. She had the feeling it would be a long explanation, if she asked.

Bec looks at her, ".. Billy is still alive." she tells her.

".. How can you be sure?" she asks.

"Billy is one tough marine, not to mention, he would have been toast before long." she said.

".. Then let's find him and get ourselves out of here." Rebecca said. Bec's words about Billy being alive gave her hope.

They get off the cable car and Rebecca grabs two green herbs, making them into powder.

"Do you know where Billy might be?" she asks Bec.

".. There is a treatment plant in the lower levels of this place." she tells her.

"How do we get there?" she asks.

"We have to go over this factory first, then the way will be clear, but there are monsters here." Bec informs her.

"Understood. Where should we start?" Rebecca asks.

"Upstairs. The door over there is locked." she said.

They head upstairs to the first floor, Bec told Rebecca there were no monsters up here and head into the control room. They grab the first aid spray and ammo, as well as the map.

"To the lift." she said.

They leave the room and get on the lift, hugging each other so that they could fit and go down a level. As they approach the door to the monitor room, Bec turns to her,

"There are two hunters in there. The green monsters we saw earlier." she clarifies as she saw Rebecca becoming confused.

"Ok, let me get a grenade launcher." she said. Bec turns so that she can go through the back pack.

When she was ready, Bec opens the door. They head in, going all the way to the back of the room to find the up key. "This will work in the control room. Be careful." Bec said as she turns around.

"Wait.. What is that creature, Bec?" Rebecca asks, staring at something on a small screen.

Bec knew that they were in the room where Wesker and Birkin were watching them earlier and knew what Rebecca was talking about. "That is an old prototype, it was being worked on, while Marcus was alive. It's called a Tyrant." she tells her.

".. The hunters are coming?" she asks as she turns around.

"Yes, once we turn the corner, they should pop out." Bec said.

They move, turning a corner where the hunters jump out and they blow them away. They continue on back towards the lift, going back up to the first floor.

They reenter the control room and Bec uses the key to bring up the turntable. When the turntable connects to the floor their on, they leave the room and go to it.

"Say, Bec.. That creature you called a Tyrant. Will we have to face it?" she asks as they approach the controls.

"Yes, it will be soon." was all Bec said.

Rebecca works the controls, Bec is unsure how this works, and they head down, with alarms blaring. They eventually reach the floor that it stops at.

"Ok, we're going to the westside of this place, we need a key to operate the east elevator." Bec said.

"Why can't we use the west elevator?" Rebecca asks, seeing it.

"It requires something else. Not that it matters, we have no need of it." Bec said.

"Before I forget, there is a surprise over there, but it's the good kind." Bec finishes.

Rebecca gives her a look, but Bec stays silent at to what the surprise is. They head that way, Bec grabs the key upon seeing it and they hear the elevator. They stand in front of the doors and wait for whoever to come out.

A man wearing a STARS vest comes out, armed. He lowers his gun upon recognizing Rebecca. "Rebecca! Thank goodness your all right!" Enrico said, putting away his gun.

"Same to you! But where is everyone else?" she asks, pleased with the surprise, but wonders why Enrico was alone.

"They're not here? Odd, they should've already arrived. Is this the young lady you told me about?" he asks looking at Bec.

"Yes, I am. My name is Rebecca Venganza. I prefer to be called Bec." she introduces herself to him.

Enrico looks her over, "I'm Enrico Marini, vice captain of the STARS. Why are you up in the mountains?" he questions her.

"I'm sorry, but there is no time to explain as to how I ended up in the mountains." Bec said, looking back at him, with a hard stare. She wasn't going to lie anymore, but the explanation would be too long and most likely, Enrico won't believe her.

"Now see-" Enrico was about to speak to her harshly, when Rebecca speaks up.

"Forgive me, sir, but she's right. There is no time to explain. We need to locate Billy." Rebecca said.

"Billy Coen? You found that criminal?" Enrico asks, surprised.

"..Yes, unfortunately, he was separated from us." Rebecca said.

"Then you can forget about him. He won't make it. You and Miss Veng-" he tries to say, but is interrupted.

"Forgive me, captain Marini, but Billy had been trained by elite marines. Criminal or not, he does have the potential to escape this place. I think it's prudent that Rebecca and I find out if he's dead or not." Bec said, not looking away from him.

Enrico looks like he was going to lecture her, but Rebecca speaks, "She right, sir. We need to find out if he's alive or dead. We'll catch up with you later."

"Rebecca.. Fine you can go after Coen but Miss Venganza is coming with me." he said.

"No, I think not, sir." Bec says boldly, "Rebecca has done a fine job of keeping me safe. She has been my teacher and I'm staying with her."

"Yes." Rebecca speaks up before Enrico could argue, "I can still keep her safe and find Billy at the same time."

Enrico was stunned to see Rebecca fighting him on this. "... Very well." he said, going pass them.

He turns around, "I leave her with you. Remember to keep her safe. When you find Coen, look for an old mansion. It is nearby and it has been used as an illegal research facility by Umbrella." he tells them.

He arms himself once more, "Remember: be careful." he said. He turns around and leaves the place.

When he was out of sight, Rebecca turns to her, "... Let's get to elevator." she said, after a moment.

They walk to the east one, once there, Bec brings out the magnums. "Once the key is turned, the Tyrant will appear. We will need heavy fire power, even though it is the weakest of the Tyrants, it can't be underestimated." she said, holding a magnum to her.

Rebecca takes it, "I understand, but how did it get out of it's tube?" she asks, checking it over.

"That, is a mystery that even I don't know for sure." Bec replies.

'It was never said has to how this tyrant was released. Considering Wesker had to fight against it in Umbrella Chronicles and Birkin most likely had gotten back into the training facility by this point, it stands to reason that the Leech Queen was the one who released it.' Bec guesses it was the final boss who did it.

When the girls were ready, Bec puts in the key and turns it, activating the elevator. They hear a noise to their right and turn to see the Tyrant on top of some rubble.

"Do you know it's weakness?" Rebecca asks as the creature let's out a roar.

"It's heart is visible, aim for that." Bec said as it jumps down towards them.

They move just as it charges at them, damaging the controls. A door then closes down, separating them from the turntable.

They shoot at it, dodging it's attacks as best they could in small quarters, but they weren't always successful. "Ah!" Rebecca said in pain as it briefly touched her, making her stumble.

"Get away from her!" Bec shoots at it. It then goes after her, Bec dodges it but it lands a shrike. "Uggh!" Bec shouts in pain and falls to one knee.

The Tyrant was still behind her and was about to deliver a killing blow to her, when Rebecca shot at it. It turns to her but Rebecca shoots it two more times and it falls over, seemingly dead.

She then checks on Bec, "Here." she said using a first aid spray on her. The elevator arrives on the floor their on.

Bec feels better and gets up. They get over to the elevator doors. "Bec, you should've told me that we would be cut off from the turntable. I thought that we would have more room to dodge it." Rebecca said, sternly.

"Your right, I'm sorry." Bec apologizes, treating Rebecca as the doors open.

They head in once Bec was done and the doors shut. Bec points to the security camera, letting Rebecca know they are being watched. Rebecca looks at the floor buttons,

"We're on the third level. I take it, that the fourth level is where Billy is?" she asks in a quiet voice, head down.

"Yes, but let's go to the B1 floor above first. It will take us behind that locked door, where we first arrived in this place." Bec said whispering with her head down, she removes her backpack again to put away the magnum.

Rebecca gives her magnum to her and takes the grenade launcher she offers, "What's on that level?" she asks, still quiet.

Bec puts away the gun and brings out her shotgun, "Ammo and herbs. There is also a hunter prowling there." she said whispering, checking the gun.

"What's on the first floor?" Rebecca then asks, remaining quiet but presses the second level button.

"It's where the train remains are, the place where we arrived, but there is no need to go back to the facility." Bec said whispering, ready.

'Thanks to this backpack, there is no need for us to back track.' Bec is relived that they don't have to face extra monsters, at least not the ones that will appear after certain things are done.

They exit the elevator, once it reaches the floor and take out the hunter. They then grab the ammo and herbs, Rebecca shows Bec how to quickly make them into powder and they get back on the elevator.

Bec presses the button for the fourth level and they go down.

The Leech Queen watches them from the elevator. "I am no longer amused. Your time has come to an end. Nothing will stop me from getting my revenge." it said.

Billy and Rebecca now know Bec somehow knows the place.

Bec is trying to stay alive, but isn't doing to well, in the mental department.
