Dragon

Wars

Episode 3: Enemies of the War

Act One

The Alpha Team's dragons are all in the ruins of Montreal. Helios (set on fire in frustration and Surfboard fight each other, but Shadow chastises them before any blows are exchanged. He goes to a slightly sheltered spot beneath a rock, where his saddle is, and looks at it sadly, before gazing out over the river in the direction of Ottawa, whimpering because he misses his half-brother.

Narrator: Since the Ultimate War, life on Earth has never been the same. Some of us tried to adapt to these sudden changes, while the rest of us just tried to bring back those old days, but the sad truth is… both of these ideas just don't mix together. Personal log: one of us has made the entire city believe that dragons are too wild, that we all can't live together in peace. But I'm going to prove it wrong.

In Ottawa, Drake in the General's office, talking to Stanley to convince him Colin set the dragons up.

Drake: It's the truth, sir! I saw a pair of Ironback feet in Colin's house. He's been doing these shenanigans all over town, so that the dragons would be sent away in order for the Dragon-Eaters to hunt them down.

Stanley: Well, then let's go have a look at them.

Drake: Yeah. Uh, there's gonna be a problem with that. I also saw him… burn them in the fire.

Stanley: Listen, son, I want to believe you, but you're gonna need evidence to accuse a man of high treason. That's all you have to do. However, if Colin has anything to do with what's happened, we will keep an I on him. You have my word on that. Dismissed.

Drake takes his leave of the office, where he meets Ironfist standing in the lobby.

Ironfist: Anything?

Drake: Nothing… too urgent for him to hear.

Ironfist: Well, I can say that's karma for you, but I won't point it out.

Drake: Karma? How is this karma? For pulling a prank on you when you're just making me go through Hell on Earth?

Ironfist: Do not take it the wrong way. I've been telling you before, the world is still not in peace, with or without a war. You stopped the war with your dragons, but not everyone thinks it's over. More importantly, why would you think I would frame the dragons?

Drake: You once asked me if I'm still the Dragon King without them. So I figured that you would've….

Ironfist: You dipstick! If I wanted revenge, I would put you through even more training courses, not when doing collateral damage. Plus, pranks are for children, and we're too old to be children anymore.

Drake: Captain, look, I'm sorry, all right? I was wrong. And I think we should just put it behind us.

Ironfist: [beat] Okay. I suppose I can put it behind me.

Later, Drake is floating on an inflatable raft in the Rideau Canal under the Laurier Avenue Bridge.

Drake: This is an overreaction! C'mon, you can't just leave me here on a…. On a raft! Up the creek without a….

Before Drake can finish his sentence, Ironfist tosses a plastic shovel to him.

Ironfist: You're getting everything you deserve. Sneaking around, pointing fingers at innocent people and eavesdropping on their conversations.

Drake: I was not sneaking around.

Ironfist: Right. Now start rowing to Lansdowne, if you can.

Ironfist takes her leave. With Drake being all by himself, he rows himself all the way across the canal to the Shelters.

At the blacksmith, Tyler and Gilbert are both trying to repair damaged weapons, and when they complete them, they pile them up.

Gilbert: There we go. Seventeen down, 369 to go.

Tyler: Augh! Can't you do that any faster? [alarmed] General on deck!

The two of them quickly salute as Stanley and Ironfist enter the room.

Stanley: At ease. Jones, how's it going so far?

Tyler: Got good I'm afraid, sir. Until we've restock the weapons, we're completely defenceless.

Gilbert: Maybe you should have thought about that before we sent the dragons away.

Tyler: Gilbert, you know I had no choice.

Stanley: We can't give up hope just yet, troops. The Prime Minister is coming here tomorrow, and we should keep him informed that Ottawa is still in progress.

Ironfist: General, I must disagree on this. The power's out and the armory is destroyed. This would be a bad time to get attacked. Not that there's ever a good time, but this would be particularly bad.

Stanley: I know, Rose.

Ironfist: Especially by Hunter. Adam Hunter? The leader of the Chicago Blackhawks? Who'd kill us all to achieve his goal?

Stanley: [irritated] I got it, Rose! [concerned] Adam Hunter. It's been eight years since the last time we saw him.

All the way in Chicago, there is a crisis going on. Much like Ottawa, the city is inhabited by wild dragons, but instead of taming them, Americans still fight them. Dragons viciously attack, destroying all present structures and vegetation with fire. Fighting them off are the Chicago Blackhawks, which turned from a hockey team into a military junta. Some Blackhawk troopers (in black ski mask) open fire at the dragons in the air, but none of them can strike them. Then their leader, Adam Hunter who is muscular and having a double-chin, comes along, and shoves aside a trooper to man an FIM-92 stinger.

Hunter: Stand aside. [to himself] You can't find good mercenaries anywhere these days.

He launches a rocket into the sky and knocks down a Sharktail. Then the cowboy Obadiah Snoop, one of Hunter's men, comes over urgently.

Snoop: Hunter, there are too many of them. We should get inside before we're cooked up for a barbeque.

Hunter follows Snoop; he enters the Field Museum, which is the Blackhawks' headquarters, and seals the entrance with a reinforced door just as several dragons blast fire where they were just standing. The two of them approach two more men: CD Fox, who wears hi-tech 3-D glasses, and Wreck-it Rufus, who has a bandaged nose and a baseball bat. The troopers jump to their feet and salute to Hunter.

Rufus: Hey, boss.

Fox: Glad you could make it-

Hunter: Silence in the ranks! Who was in charge outside?!

Rushing forward, a Blackhawk commander (in a yellow ski mask) quickly buttoning his uniform and salutes to the cowboy.

Commander: I was, sir. No one told me you were coming.

Hunter: This is getting out of hand. I'm already sick of these dragons swarming around us. Are the Ospreys ready, Snoop?

He walks up to a round meeting table with the others and looks at a map of eastern Canada.

Snoop: We still have a little more work to do.

Hunter: That's not my problem, is it? We fly for Canada, ASAP. We'll land… right here in Orleans at nightfall.

Snoop: Why aren't we taking the whole army?

Hunter: We're not going back there for Stewart. We're going there for one man: the Dragon King.

Fox: Oh, good plan there. Awesome plan. With a guy like him, we can rid ourselves of those pesky dragons.

Snoop: I don't know, Fox. I've heard he's ten feet tall with the strength of a whole buffalo herd.

Hunter: Well, he shouldn't be too hard to find then, should he?

Back in Ottawa the next day, Drake is back in the Shelters, where he tells the team of what he told the General.

Drake: So there you have it. I was telling the truth all along. The dragons were innocent the whole time, and Colin is responsible for everything that's happened.

Quinton: So that's the case. I would've guessed that the Dragon-Eaters were doing this, and they had a spy.

Ethan: But Drake, the General was right. You need evidence to prove someone is guilty. And… do you have any evidence? A video or a photograph?

Drake: Uh…. No. I didn't. Because my phone is dead, just like everyone else's.

Michael: Well, duh. That's why someone would turn off the power. To shut down everything without triggering the alarm.

Rocky: Yeah, and I'm getting tired having no AC. It was so hot last night, I was going to sleep in the fridge, until my mom told me that would be a death trap.

Dusty: [laughs] It was super hilarious when he gasps from hearing that.

Quinton: Uh, Drake? I thought there would be security cameras or backup generators.

When he hears that, Drake widens his eyes in realization.

Drake: Wait a minute. That's it!

Quinton: What is?

Drake: The Rideau Centre does have security cameras, and there's always a backup battery installed in case of emergencies. If there's a chance, we could go in there, find a camera and look into its footage.

Michael: Well, that's easier said than done, man. The mall is closed for inventory and only the high-ranks can go inside.

Dusty: How about we blow stuff up and sneak in?

Ethan: No. That would cause more damage and we don't have the money to fix anything.

Drake: Hmmm. Maybe we can, but my way.

Act Two

Afterwards, the Alpha Team are on the Rideau Centre's rooftop, where the Stilwells rigged dynamite sticks to a grate, and Rocky lights them. The dynamites' explosion blows off the grate. Michael, with key in hand, jumps as Quinton and the twins lower him down by his strings. Michael tangles himself up in his strings after flipping and posing on the way down. Ethan groans and slides down the string.

Ethan: Okay. Any luck finding a camera?

Michael: Uh…. No?

Then, Ethan finds one nearby at the corner. Since it's far out of his reach, he swings on the tangled Michael back and forth.

Michael: What are you doing?

Ethan: The camera's over there, and I need to swing us, so hold still.

Back and forth repeatedly, Ethan tries to reach the camera, and he is getting closer and closer to the corner. However, Michael gets worried as he is nearing the corner, and he panics.

Michael: Not the face!

Just Michael would have his face hit, Ethan grabs the camera and stops the swinging, before he installs a USB drive in to download the footage. But up top, Quinton is starting to lose his grip.

Quinton: [groans] I can't hold on much longer!

Then, he loses his grip before the Stilwells slip down, almost having Ethan and Michael to hit the ground. But then, Drake rushes over and grabs the string, pulling the two back up with ease. But as he pulls, the other three are shocked to see him this way.

Drake: What?

As soon as Ethan and Michael get out, they get Michael untangled by the strings, but they all resume to stare at him in shock.

Rocky: Dude. What was that?

Drake: I don't know what you mean.

Quinton: Well, you… carried Ethan and Michael by yourself like you were… Hercules or something.

Before Drake can say something, Dusty lifts up his shirt to reveal he's gained strong abs.

Dusty: This is why! Look at all this beef!

Michael: [amazed] Holy shit, dude! You really are Hercules!

Drake: I didn't know about this. Maybe….

Ethan: This would've been the Captain's training. She's put through all those courses, and… made you stronger than you were. Must be because you're sharing Shadow's heart, and it….

Drake: I think I get it now, Ethan. But for now, have you got the footage?

Ethan: I did.

Ethan presents Drake his USB drive where he should have the footage they're looking for.

Later, they return to the Shelters, where Ethan plugs the flash drive into the laptop, waiting for the video to show. Drake hovers around, waiting for something to happen, then Vanessa comes into the room.

Vanessa: Drake. My father told me what you said. Are you sure it was Colin?

Drake: I am. But he says I need proof, so this is my chance.

Quinton: Drake, we're getting something.

In a hurry, Drake rushes over towards friends, observing the screen. And much to their surprise, Colin shows up in the mall and destroys the place, just before the screen goes static.

Drake: It was him. That was Colin.

Vanessa: Now you've got your proof. We can show this to my father and-

Drake: No. We'll split up in two. You guys will go to the General, and I'll see if I can go to Montreal before Gordon does.

Vanessa: No! You have to stay here with us.

Drake: I have to go there. Gordon is going to find and kill Shadow.

Vanessa: You need to relax, okay? He's a tough dragon and you know that.

Drake: I do know that, but if he and I share each other's pain, there's no telling what will happen if he gets eaten.

While Drake and Vanessa are talking, Michael hears something from outside.

Michael: Hey, what's that sound?

As the team look out of the room window, they see a squadron of V-22 Ospreys arriving at Ottawa, some of them airlifting vehicles. They all race out of the Shelters where Drake starts waving to the helicopters.

Drake: Here we go. I'll get on one of these, right now! HELLO! OVER HERE!

But when Rocky looks through the binoculars, he sees something.

Rocky: Hey, wait a minute. It says Chicago on the side of that chopper. When did we, like… have two cities?

Vanessa runs towards Michael to use the binoculars, seeing the name Chicago on an Osprey's side, but next to it is a black C with two crossed hatchets, the symbol for the Blackhawks.

Vanessa: [worried] Oh, no. I gotta call my dad.

Over the city at night, one Osprey has a commander informing his troops as the ramp is being opened. The pilots (in blue ski masks) look at the radar.

Pilot: Commander, approaching area.

Commander: Begin jamming signals.

Pilot: Yes, sir.

Commander: Listen up, troops Hunter is making for the Orleans sector, while we go through Rockcliffe Park for a quick survey. On my mark. Three… two… one!

The troopers all jump off the ramp, and fall down six-hundred feet before they open their parachutes.

Act Three

In the General's office, he is passing around while Tyler and Gilbert are repairing the junction box on the wall, right before some lights and machines flicker on.

Gilbert: There we go. The power's now online from here to St. Laurent Boulevard, sir.

Stanley: That's great to hear, Hackett. I wish we can say the same for the rest of the city.

But then, a technician on a computer gets a signal as it beeps.

Technician: Hold the phone. We've got choppers in the air.

Tyler: Those might be the air patrol.

Then, Crossword enters the office, looking like he's out of breath.

Crossword: General, sir!

Stanley: What is it, Crossword?

Crossword: Your daughter called. Invaders heading east, and she says… Hunter is coming!

Stanley: Hunter?

At the outskirts of Orleans, the other two Ospreys land on the grass, before the drivers (in blue ski masks) drive on in two M1161 Growlers and an M270 MLRS (Multiple Launch Rocket System). Hunter walks out with his three operatives, and smells the air.

Hunter: Ah! It feels good to be back in Canada after all these years.

Snoop: Good for you. Not so good for them.

Hunter: Men! Half of you check the entire perimeter. One of you, send a drone to spy. The rest, stay put until I give the order. We'll find the Dragon King.

At the Rideau Centre, Stanley addresses the Canadian Forces' commanders about the situation. Many of the people are worried.

Stanley: This is no time to panic! That's what the Blackhawks are counting on!

Stryker: Sir!

Stryker rushes over to the General with a salute.

Stanley: Talk to me, Sergeant.

Stryker: I've counted thirty men at least in Rockcliffe, all armed to the teeth.

Ironfist: Do we have any more weapons to fight with?

Tyler: Not enough. We've got only twenty-six repaired.

Gilbert: And it gets worse. With the power out in downtown, we won't have enough time to alarm everyone into evacuation.

Stanley: No. If he's here to attack us, Hunter wouldn't be coming here with only three helicopters. He's up to something, and we're gonna find out what it is.

Ironfist: Sir, you'll have to tell everyone to stay indoors. Our troops can take Queensway, barricade it from Hunter, and then my team take out the ones in Rockcliffe.

Stanley: That will work. But have the Alpha Team gather all civilians at St. Laurent. We have a bunker in Vanier. They'll be save there.

Ethan: We can help fight! We've been trained as warriors.

Michael: He may have been trained, but I was born a warrior.

Ironfist: No need. You go with Javelin and Bazooka. You can help protect the civilians.

Ethan and Michael pause for a bit, and they nod to agree with the Captain before they take off. For Drake, he looks concerned because he fears it won't be enough, so he rushes over to the General.

Drake: Let me go get the dragons. At least if we have them, we can defend ourselves.

Stanley: Out of the question.

Ironfist: Sir…? I agree with Dalloway. His dragon is the fastest creature ever to walk the Earth. The Aviation Museum has a plane that will take him to Montreal in five minutes.

Stanley stands firmly at the moment, thinking about what Ironfist told him, and he comes to a conclusion.

Stanley: Go. But be careful. You don't know what Hunter is capable of.

Ironfist: Let's go, kid. I've got a Jeep outside.

Drake and Ironfist both rush out to the Jeep, but before he can leave, Drake goes over to the team.

Drake: Guys, listen. Colin is still out there. If you see him or in a red pickup truck, you have to take him in.

Quinton: You got it. Tell Helios I miss him.

Now he's done with what he needs to do, Drake follows Ironfist outside of the mall. When Vanessa is about to join them, Stanley stops her.

Stanley: No, you stay here.

Vanessa: But dad, I should make sure he's-

Stanley: Rose is with him. But take this.

He hands out Vanessa an E-Tool for her to carry.

Stanley: It was Hunter's. Just stay indoors, and wait for my signal. I'll let you know when Dalloway's back. The rest of you, head to the park.

Tyler: Leave it to me. Nobody knows that forest like we do.

Gilbert: If any Blackhawk comes to look for us there, he'll walk right into our trap!

Stanley: Vanessa, go.

Vanessa: Okay. But… here.

Vanessa gives her father the flash drive of the footage the Alpha Team got.

Vanessa: That has evidence to proof Drake was right. [walks off]

In the downtown Ottawa, a few LAV IIIs drive across as a crier lets out an alarm through his megaphone.

Soldier: All citizens, head indoors and close all the works. We've got intruders in the east, and they're heading this way. Anyone who lives in Rockcliffe or passed Aviation Parkway must stay here until further notice. Everyone, in! Pronto!

All the citizens follow the crier's orders and head inside of the buildings and apartments. Some of them are so alarmed about "intruders" they panic as they fled with the others. Colin is among the crowd; instead of getting in, he gets on his pickup truck and drives away.

Act Four

At Rockcliffe Lookout, Belle and Jasmine are observing the scene, unaware of the situation. But behind them, the Blackhawks are advancing.

Jasmine: That poor Drake. He really misses his dragon. What could we do to cheer him up?

Belle: I got one. We'll make a poem. [clears throat] The moon is full, your heart is empty. Um…. What rhymes with empty?

Commander: Don't waste your time. Nothing rhymes with "empty".

The two girls turn and gasp in shock as the Blackhawks hold them at gunpoint.

Commander: Who's the Dragon King?

Belle: Dragon King? Uh…. We don't know who he is.

Jasmine: Yeah, we just… don't.

Commander: [beat] I believe you.

Then, the commander pushes the girls over the lookout, having them splash over to the river below.

Meanwhile, Ironfist drives a Jeep down on Sir-George-Etienne-Cartier Parkway with Drake sitting beside her.

Drake: Captain? I, uh…. I owe you one for… helping out with this.

Ironfist: I don't really like disagreeing with the General as much as you do, but I do this because you have to.

Drake: Because… you have faith in me, like you said two nights ago.

Ironfist: Don't get me started. I was on a private phone call. But… how much of it did you hear?

Drake: Only the part where you looked disturbed about this John Bailey guy.

Ironfist: Let's just say… I have a history with him. But another time.

But Drake looks ahead, he sees the Blackhawks walking out of the lookout.

Drake: Captain! Blackhawks!

Ironfist: [smirks] Hang on.

Ironfist swerves the Jeep, turning to the left, and she fires her pistol through the back windshield at the Blackhawks. But the commander makes a hand signal to a heavy trooper (in a navy blue ski mask) with an FIM-92 Stinger, which he fires a rocket with. The rocket hits the ground, nearly hitting the Jeep, but the vehicle is forced off the road, over the railing and into the river below with a splash.

Heavy trooper: That takes care of that.

Commander: Not quite yet.

Underwater, Drake and Ironfist both kick their doors open and swim out to resurface, coughing the water out of their lungs. However, they find Belle and Jasmine swimming to shore, but Drake swims over to them and helps them both reach dry land. When they get there, the two of them hug him tightly.

Belle & Jasmine: Our hero!

Ironfist: Girls, give him some space.

Ironfist swims to shore; she spots the Blackhawks heading down a pathway down, and shoves the trio into hiding under a rock.

Trooper: I don't see anything.

Commander: Then they're dead, but we should keep looking. You two, hover that way. And you, follow me. We'll find him.

When the Blackhawks leave, the four come out of hiding as soon as the coast is clear.

Drake: "Find him"?

Jasmine: That's what we wanted to say. They're… looking for you.

Belle: So, spill it. What'd you do to these guys?

Ironfist: Nothing yet. But we've got a plane to catch.

Drake: No, not yet. If this plane's as fast as it, it can wait. We need to observe and learn what we need to know.

Ironfist: Out of the question. I told you I'll explain when we have time. But now, we don't. There's a rowboat at the docks over there. Row to the Aviation Museum. I'll deal with these assholes.

Ironfist marches out of hiding with the Blackhawks walking away. The Captain throws a rock at one of them. They see her and give chase. They chase her through the park, and come to a ruined street. Ironfist hides behind a tree, just as the Blackhawks arrive to find her.

Commander: Fan out.

By the commander's orders, they fan and search; the heavy trooper approaches Ironfist. When he is close enough, she trips him, knocks him out, and takes his gun. She runs off, but the others see her and open fire. Ironfist shoots back, and hits one. She runs into a boathouse on the shores of a nearby lake, and checks her gun, finding out it's empty.

Ironfist: Dammit.

Then, she ducks as the Blackhawks outside fire the boathouse with M4A1 carbines and Mossberg shotguns. She notices that she is kneeling next to several leaking cans of gasoline. Ironfist runs and dives out of the boathouse into the lake as the Blackhawks fire again before the boathouse explodes.

Commander: We don't have time for this. Move to the south.

Trooper: Yes, sir.

Ironfist swims underwater and comes up beneath a pier. A trooper is standing on the pier, checking the surface of the lake. When he walks over where the Captain is in the water, Ironfist grabs his leg and pulls him into the lake. The commander sees her run off and changes the clip in his weapon. He opens fire at the lake in vain to shoot down Ironfist.

Commander: You can't hide from me.

Suddenly, Ironfist comes at him from behind and knocks the gun out of his hands into the stream. He fights back, but she flips him to the bushes.

Ironfist: [sighs] A lot to go through for just one AWOL teenager.

Then, a trooper fires his Beretta pistol at Ironfist, who avoids the gunfire, and runs off to go somewhere else. The Blackhawk keeps firing at her until the commander returns to make him stop.

Commander: Seize firing! She's not the target.

Hunter: [through speakers] Command post to Unit-16, report. What's your stat?

The commander rushes his way over to the walkie-talkie from a downed trooper, and he grabs it to make contact.

Commander: This is Unit-16 reporting. Target still out of sight. But we met Rose Tymbark, sir. She beat the crap out of us, sir.

Hunter: Take a breather. Forget about Tymbark. We're on our way.

Commander: Roger that, sir. Over and out.

In the General's office, Stanley stares at the video of Colin damaging the mall with a few soldiers hovering beside him.

Stanley: Dalloway was right. I knew he was telling the truth.

Soldier 1: I misjudged him… badly.

Stanley: But now we know what's been happening. Any idea where Colin is right now?

Soldier 2: Negative. But we did find notes on Captain Tymbark's desk. One of them had his name on it over the address 661 Island Park. We think she knows about this, and found out where he lives.

Stanley: Then that's where he'll be. We have enough batteries to make radio contact. If we have anyone near Island Park, relay a message to them and have them arrest Colin.

Soldier 2: Yes, sir.

Meanwhile, Tyler stands in Springfield Rd with Gilbert, Stryker, Dozer and Crossword to give them his plan.

Tyler: When they come looking for us in Springfield, they'll have to come through this way to that park.

Gilbert: Alright. What do we have?

Tyler: Accessories for home defense: Two frying pans, a rolling pin, an eggbeater and a kitchen knife.

Dozer: And what are we going to do if we find Hunter? Bake him a cake?!

Tyler: Well, a pie would be nice too. Who doesn't like pie?

Tyler throws the kitchen knife at a tree and splits it in two.

Tyler: That could be useful.

In the meantime, Vanessa is pacing around in an apartment room where she stays with a few civilians, who are also taking shelter. But she looks out the window with a worried look.

Vanessa: Oh, Drake. I just hope you're there. I really….

But then, Vanessa thinks about something, but she knows it will be a risky move to make. She looks down to find Drake's motorbike parked nearby, and she knows what to do.

In the air, a camera drone flies over town to reverse the city, and controlling it is Hunter, who is watching footage through a laptop in Snoop's hands.

Hunter: Power's out. It looks like Stewart isn't as prepared as we've anticipated.

Snoop: From the looks of the blackout, he's probably not armed at all.

The drone moves forward towards the General's office building, hovering by the door.

Hunter: Hmm…. Should I knock? I mean, what's the etiquette in these situations?

Before he can do anything, the door is forced open and it knocks down the drone as Stanley walks out with a soldier. But with the drone not so badly damaged, Hunter begins to watch the scene.

Soldier: We've found the house, but the scouts say nobody is home.

Stanley: Dammit. He must've known about this. We're gonna have to work triple to fix the power, and track him down by his phone.

But with the General's back turned, the soldier spots Vanessa heading out to the motorbike.

Soldier: Uh, sir? Your daughter's going rogue.

Stanley: Doubtful. We Falcon know better than to go rogue.

Soldier: She's gonna steal a bike.

Stanley: She won't steal a bike.

Soldier: She's stealing the bike.

Stanley: Oh, what are you talking about?!

Solider: She stole the bike.

Finally, Stanley notices Vanessa riding away on Drake's motorbike, and he looks irritated.

Stanley: What?

Soldier: She's like Mulan in real life.

Stanley: Augh, not now. Get my Jeep ready.

Done with watching it, Hunter closes down the laptop.

Hunter: The old coward can't control his own daughter.

Blackhawk: We spotted some war machines barricading the highway. And I heard reports of a few soldiers heading down to a bunker in Vanier. Should we inform Unit-16?

Hunter: No. We'll go there ourselves, right after we blast through the blockade in Queensway. CD Fox, Wreck-it Rufus, get on the truck.

Rufus: You got it, boss.

Snoop: We're staying here?

Hunter: We'll wait, when it's cleared for us to go. At the same time, plan a reward. How many millions of dollars do you think a Dragon King is worth?

Snoop: Seven! No! Eight!

Back with Drake, he and the girls make it to the dock where a boat is floating by. But he lets Belle and Jasmine get on, while he stays on dry land.

Belle: You're not coming with us?

Drake: No. You two just row to the west, towards the History Museum. I gotta go first to the bunker and warn the others.

Jasmine: Wait.

Jasmine reaches out to Drake and pulls him back to kiss him on the cheek, making him blush. Then, Belle snaps a picture of the scene.

Jasmine: For luck, cutie. Be safe.

With the oars, the girls push the boat away and row away to the west, while they see Drake making his way.

Belle: I'm so gonna post this on Facebook. But… that was a bold move you pulled off right there, Jasmine.

Jasmine: Was it? I was saving it for the best time to share with. This was like one of those times, and I did it.

Belle: Okay. But next time, I get the kiss.

At Queensway, several LAV IIIs are barricading the way into any parts of Ottawa, and the soldiers are awaiting for the Blackhawks' arrival. But off of the highway, Fox and Rufus are standing on a hilltop where they can see the blockade.

Fox: There's the blockade. Ready to start?

Rufus: Oh, yeah.

Rufus stands in a batting pose as a trooper holds up some C4 in a ball form, about to pitch. When the trooper pitches, Rufus whacks the ball away over the air.

Rufus: Oh, high fly!

At the blockade, the soldier in charge of the blockade, Lieutenant Grady, stands guard at the front.

Grady: [to a soldier] Francis, it's getting dark out here. Gimme a report on the eastern front.

Francis: So far, nothing yet. It could be because they're taking the long road or the low road.

Grady: We don't have enough time to go there yet.

During the talk, the C4 ball keeps flying overhead, until it explodes to grab everyone's attention.

Grady: What was that?

Before anyone could react, a rocket is fired and impacts one of the LAVs, killing a few soldiers there. Grady looks ahead to see the M270 MLRS driving over and firing rockets at them. The Canadians fight back with their own weapons, until a trio of Boeing AH-64 Apaches hover overhead and fire with M230 cannons. Grady manages to flee from the now-destroyed blockade, but he gets knocked out by Rufus's baseball bat. With Grady down, Fox scans him with his 3-D glasses.

Fox: Alright. Follow my lead. And tell the boss he's cleared.

Rufus: Got it, Fox.

Back in Hunter's position, his phone rings and he answers it quickly.

Hunter: Hello?

Rufus: We're through, boss. Queensway is yours for the crossing. Just say the word and you're in.

Hunter: Good work there. [hangs up] We're in. Get in the Growler and let's go.

Hunter and Snoop both get in the Growler and drive off to go where they'd need to go.

Back in Rockcliffe, a few Blackhawks are searching throughout the neighbourhood for their target. But behind their back, Ironfist shows up and fires a pistol at them. The alarmed troopers whip around and open fire at the Captain, who takes cover behind a house. When they stop the firing, they quietly walk towards where Ironfist is supposedly hiding. One of them takes out a walkie-talkie to contact someone.

Trooper: Squad-2 to Unit-16. Code-

Suddenly, Ironfist tackles him and throws him towards the others. Instead of using firearms, they grab their E-Tools from their belts and swing at her, while she parries and ducks from them. She pounds on them with her cyborg arms, easily defeating them. After that, Ironfist takes one of the troopers' walkie-talkie, and dials it to make contact with someone.

Ironfist: Captain Tymbark to dispatch. Does anyone read?

[static]

Dispatch: Loud and clear, Captain.

Ironfist: I'm nearing Sergeant Jones's position right now. Has the plane taken off yet with Dalloway?

Dispatch: Negative. All planes are still on the runway and there's no sign of Private Dalloway anywhere.

Ironfist: He had to be there. Where else would he be?

For Drake, he is running down a parkway to Vanier. But he feels like he's not exhausted at all from all that running. He stops in his tracks, and checks on his pulse, but his heart isn't racing as he thought it would.

Drake: I'm…. I'm not exhausted. I've been running since I passed Rockcliffe, but I've gotten here faster than I…. [realizing] This must've been all that hardcore training I went through. Maybe that wasn't so bad after all. But enough with that now. I gotta keep going.

He continues running down the parkway without breaking a sweat.

Act Five

In Vanier, the Alpha Team has rounded up all the civilians in the district and they escort them to follow Javelin who is leading them down the pathway.

Javelin: This way, everyone. No crowding, no hogging. The bunker's down this path.

Ethan is assisting Bazooka to bring up the rear, but he looks ahead to see a red pickup truck driving away, but he sees Colin driving in it.

Ethan: That's him. Guys, Colin's heading this way. Bazooka, keep at it. We'll catch up.

Bazooka: Catch up for what?

Colin pulls over at the corner, making sure there is nobody around. He suddenly hears the sound of a car starting. He looks to see the Alpha Team hoping in a Jeep and gives chase. Colin drives as fast as he can; Quinton takes aim with his bow and fires an arrow, hitting one of his tires. The truck is slowing down, but the Jeep is getting faster. When it is ahead of him, Rocky and Dusty drop some bombs that detonate on the road. Colin stomps on the brakes, stopping just in front of him, and the team walks out to surround the truck.

Ethan: Colin, we should've known it was you! Michael, get the gun!

Michael: Hell yeah!

Michael snatches a shotgun from the Jeep and cocks it. Colin covers his eyes. A shot is heard, followed by a hissing noise. Colin gets out to see the truck's hood has holes in it.

Colin: My truck! Why you damn kids! I oughta-

Michael: Hold it right there!

But before Colin can finish, Michael jabs the gun in his chest. Colin moves back until he bumps on a garbage can, disturbing the raccoon inside who hissed at him. Then Dusty covers it with the can's lid.

Colin: [concerned] Watch it! That thing's loaded!

Ethan: You're under arrest for the damage of everything that's happened in Ottawa.

Quinton: We know it was you. We've found a camera with a backup power, downloaded the part where you sabotaged the Rideau Centre, and we've shown it to the General just in time.

Colin: [smirking] It doesn't matter anymore. Because Gordon is on his way to Montreal as we speak. He and the other Dragon-Eaters are probably three quarters to be there by now, and by the time you'd ever go there, it will already be too late. Your precious dragons will be a new fast food joint, and they'll be served up as burgers and steaks.

Dusty: [worried] Fin and Flip, as steaks.

Rocky: That sounds tasty, but not from a dragon.

Michael: Don't count on it, punk. Drake's gone to the planes, so he'll be there in five-

Then, Lieutenant Grady arrives at the scene, which the team salutes to.

Quinton: Lieutenant Grady, sir.

Grady: What's going on here? I thought you'd be back downtown.

Michael: We had to chase after this guy because he's-

Ethan: [suspicious] Wait a minute. Grady was told that we'd be here, not downtown.

Then, a dart gun emerges from the brush and fires into Colin's shoulder. Some Blackhawks run from hiding and Rufus is with them. Michael is about to shoot his shotgun, but it is knocked away by Rufus's bat. They easily subdue both her and the drugged Colin. Grady presses on his temple, and his appearance changes like a hologram to reveal himself as Fox, with his 3-D glasses being the source of his disguise.

Fox: Where's the Dragon King?

Dusty: How do you know you're not looking at her?

The Blackhawks stare at Dusty, and they laugh at her, while the team stare at her.

Quinton: Dusty, a king is a boy, not a girl. That's a queen.

Fox: Anyway, where's the Dragon King?

Rufus: The boss wants him now.

Ethan: We don't know where he is. I don't even know him.

Fox: Okay, kid. We can do it the easy way, or the HARD way.

Rufus: Oh, I think we should do the easy way, don't you, Fox?

Quinton: Yeah, me too. Because I'm just-

Fox: All right, all right! If no one's going to spill, it's time to bring out… the Pincher.

Fox takes out a bear trap that crushes a log, and the team gasps in horror.

Fox: Your choice: Talk now or talk later. Ain't that right, Pincher? [imitating Pincher; high voice] Yeah. But we can't just use all of them.

Rufus: [horrified] The Pincher's alive, Fox!

Spike: Use the chubby one, cause his are plump. [normal voice] Ha-ha! Good one, Pincher.

Quinton: [scared] No, no, not my cheeks! They're not even plump! My mom says I'm just husky!

Then, Michael stomps the foot of the Blackhawk that is holding him, and knocks him out. She runs toward Fox and knocks the Pincher away. The others fight off the other troopers, until they see another trooper (in a grey ski mask) standing in front of them with a riot shield. Ethan and Michael both fight the trooper with their martial arts and fists, but the latter just blocks them with his shield, and he takes out a taser rod to zap them both. Rocky and Dusty reach into their bags for bombs, but they don't have any, so the Blackhawks tackle them both down.

Quinton tries to escape, but the riot control trooper blocks his way, and Fox reclaims the Pincher, ready to use it on him. Quinton has to think fast, but he gets an idea.

Quinton: Wait! I know where he is! I know where he is!

Fox: Come on, then. Spit it out!

Quinton: He's…. He's hiding. In that trash can.

Fox: Good boy.

Fox drops down the Pincher, and heads over to the trash can while talking.

Fox: You see, Rufus? That's how you do it. It's like my dad used to say. When it comes to handling teenagers, you gotta be fair but firm. Just show 'em you mean business, and- [alarmed] A RACCOON!

The raccoon jumps out with a hiss and attacks Fox on the face, as he tries to get it off of him. Rufus rushes over with his baseball bat and swings it, but the raccoon jumps off before he hits Fox in the face, knocking him out.

Rufus: Sorry, Fox. Did she have rabies?

Fox: Okay! No more Mr. Nice Guy! String 'em up, boys! Head for the bunker!

The Blackhawks tie up the Alpha Team and drag them along, including the downed Colin.

Fox: He's out there somewhere. I can feel it in my guts!

Rufus: That'll be last night's curry, Fox. I'm the same.

Fox: Let's get there before the boss comes along.

Elsewhere, Vanessa is riding on Drake's motorbike, but she stops to see bullet holes and scorch marks on the ground. She gets off to inspect them, then she finds some footprints.

Vanessa: None of them are from Drake's shoes. That means he wasn't here. I'm relieved, but Hunter can't be far ahead.

Act Six

In Vanier, Javelin leads the people, making their way along a narrow path to a bunker up ahead. He motions them all to get in one at a time.

Javelin: Go on, now. This way in. No crowding; one at a time. Single…. Wait a minute. Where's Bazooka?

Little girl: He went back to get my Teddy.

Javelin: [peeved] Oh, for the love of….

So Javelin is backtracking along the path looking for Bazooka

Javelin: Why am I always looking for Bazooka? I mean, why can't he just… with the- Bazooka? It's like trying to keep track of a half-wit pig.

Then, he finds Bazooka coming over with a teddy bear in hand.

Javelin: Bazooka! You had one job. Bring up the rear.

Bazooka: But the little girl! You should've seen the look on her face, with the big blue eyes and the tears welling up.

Javelin: Ugh! Your muscles may be big and strong, but your heart is soft. Come on, come on.

So the two of them make their way back to the bunker. But then, heavy fire comes showering at them from behind, forcing Javelin and Bazooka to take shelter behind a car. Some Blackhawks open fire at the Regges; Javelin uses his Colt Canada C19 patrol rifle to fire at incoming troopers from cover. Bazooka arms his AT4 anti-tank weapon, and fires as well, blowing up a gas station that blows away some of the troopers. However, a flametrooper (in a red ski mask) shows up with an LPO-50 flamethrower and unleashes a stream of fire in front of the two Regges. Then two more troopers show up to hold them at gunpoint, just as Hunter arrives with Snoop.

Hunter: You made it easy for us, Bazooka. It's hard to miss a halfwit and his teddy bear.

Blackhawks: [laughs]

Javelin: Hunter, you're on our grounds. Stand down if you know what's good for you.

Snoop: No can do, crackerjack. Somebody's gotta do something for us.

Bazooka: Do what for what?

Snoop: I don't know, just do something! So stop whining and just take it like a man!

At the sidewalk, Vanessa makes it to Vanier as she pulls over and locks the motorbike to a stop sign. She tiptoes all the way to where the bunker is, but when she gets there, she sees the Blackhawks have already gotten there, rounding up all the citizens as they walk out.

Vanessa: [worried] Oh no. Oh Drake, where are you right now?

Back in Rockcliffe, Crossword is perching on a high branch of a tree, where he sees the Blackhawks walking down Springfield Road.

Crossword: High sparrow to groundhog, I see some Blackhawks: a dozen troopers, two heavies and a commander. Approaching your position. Over.

Tyler: [through speakers] Roger that. I'm going in.

The commander leads his troopers down the road, cautiously aiming their guns around while searching for their target. Then, they see Tyler mooning them.

Tyler: Nah nah nah nah nah nah!

Commander: There's Jones!

Trooper: What about Tymbark?

Commander: We'll take care of her afterwards. Get HIM!

The Blackhawks begin their run and Tyler dashes off into the playground.

Tyler: Come on, you lousy Americans! You'll never take me alive!

Tyler jumps over a fallen slide, and the chasing Blackhawks follow his lead, but one of them trips over to fall into the dirt. After going across the field, Tyler stops in tracks with a fence in his way, and he turns around to find himself surrounded by the Blackhawks, holding him at gunpoint.

Tyler: [defeated] Well…. It looks like you got me.

Then, gunfire hits one of the troopers, killing him off.

Commander: Sniper!

On a house roof, Stryker fires his McMillan TAC-50, taking out some of the troopers and a heavy trooper. The commander is making a run for it into hiding, and… BAM! Gilbert hits him on the head with a frying pan. The remaining heavy trooper is about to fire his Stinger, until….

Dozer: Ello, chum!

Dozer whacks him with his rolling pin, and the heavy trooper staggers back to collapse. A trooper draws an E-Tool to attack, but Tyler blocks the blow with an egg beater.

Trooper: [puzzled] An egg beater?

Tyler whacks him several times with the egg beater, then he delivers a heavy punch with his cyborg hand to knock out the Blackhawk. With two more troopers remaining, Crossword points at them with a kitchen knife, but they aim their Beretta pistols at him, and Stryker bonks them on the head, knocking them out.

Tyler: Or it's us who's got you.

Dozer: I owe you an apology, Jones. Maybe this stuff would be effective.

Gilbert: He knows what he does.

Suddenly, there is a rattling in the bushes. Tyler puts his finger on his lips to silence the others. He runs after and tackles the person in the bushes, about to pound him, but it turns out to be Ironfist, also ready to pound.

Ironfist: Tyler, it's you!

Tyler: For the love of God, Rose, I could have killed you!

Ironfist: Well, thank you for not killing me.

The two of them regain their bearings as Gilbert and the others join in.

Stryker: Captain, we've secured the streets in this sector.

Crossword: But we took out fifteen. No idea where the other-half is.

Ironfist: I already took 'em out on my way here. So we got Rockcliffe secured.

Gilbert: That's a relief.

Tyler: We should get going before Hunter arrives. Get their weapons.

The team grab the discarded weapons from the fallen Blackhawks and make their way over down the streets.

Ironfist: Tyler, we're gonna have to get there quickly. Hunter's looking for your cousin.

Tyler: What would they be after Drake for?

Ironfist: He's the Dragon King. Everyone's after him.

Dozer: We shouldn't worry. He's on his way to Montreal.

Ironfist: That's the problem. He didn't go. He's still here in Ottawa. That's why we're going to-

Stanley: [through speakers] Falcon to Jones. Do you copy?

Tyler takes out his walkie-talkie and replies.

Tyler: Loud and clear, sir. What is it?

Stanley: It's Vanessa. She's taken Dalloway's motorbike and gone somewhere.

Tyler: Got it. I put a tracking beacon on that bike in case of an emergency. If we spot them, Crossword will relay a message to you, and we'll take on Hunter before he intervenes.

Stanley: Very good, Sergeant. I'll be waiting. Over and out.

Tyler puts away his walkie-talkie and takes out a handheld device with a screen, pinpointing a red dot over Vanier.

Tyler: That's the signal. In Vanier at the top of that spire. We won't make it if we walk there.

Stryker: We can hijack a car.

Gilbert: Can you do that?

Stryker: [smiles] I used to steal cars for a living.

Act Seven

Back in Vanier, Hunter and his soldiers are holding the citizens hostage, and all the soldiers in shackles.

Hunter: For those of you who haven't figured it out… I am Adam Hunter, supreme leader of the Chicago Blackhawks. And let me be clear, that position was given.

Rocky: What, leadership? Pft. Who gave him that, his mother?

Hunter: In case you'd need to know as well, I have a long history with General Stewart Falcon, who calls himself Stanley. But he doesn't concern me. I'm not here for him. I want the Dragon King.

Colin, who is now conscious again, cracks a smile on his face and he whispers to Ethan next to him.

Colin: Say goodbye to your friend. [loudly] I know where-

Suddenly, Ethan elbows Colin in the face and knocks him out, just before Hunter would notice him.

Ethan: My neighbour's frail. He needs his nap.

Hunter: As I was saying… tell me who the Dragon King is and you can all go free. We can make it worth your while.

Fox: If not, we can go with the Pincher.

Rufus: Oh, maybe not, Fox. Please.

In hiding, Vanessa crawls her way over to the scene behind the bushes, spying on the scene. She takes out the E-Tool she was given, and prepares to know when to strike with it. Hunter goes around, asking the citizens one by one.

Hunter: Well…? Anyone going to share?

Woman: We don't know where he is.

Hunter: Maybe none of you get it. I mean serious business here. I was a former Green Beret; Special Tactics. If I go after something, I get it anyway I can, even to know all your dirty little secrets. Because in the end, you have no will to resist anything.

However, one old man stands up to confront Hunter.

Old man: We will tell men like you nothing about our hero.

Hunter: [chuckles] There are no men like me.

Old man: You're wrong. There are always men like you.

Hunter: Okay, this calls for an example. Mr. Snoop, take aim and fire on my mark.

Snoop takes out a revolver pistol, aiming at the old man. Before he can fire, Vanessa tries to take out Hunter and throws the E-Tool at him. But Hunter catches it in mid-air.

Hunter: Will you look at that! My old E-Tool. I was wondering when I'd get that back.

Flametrooper: Hey, boss!

One of the flametroopers comes along, with Vanessa in custody, and tosses her in front of Hunter.

Flametrooper: We've got ourselves a spy.

Snoop: Hey. Isn't that the General's little girl?

Fox: Yeah, and she's hot! [chuckles]

Hunter: Trying to kill Adam Hunter? You're not as smart as you look. You really are Stewart's kid. Tell me, who's your Dragon King?

But Vanessa remains silent; Hunter grabs her hair and yanks it up.

Hunter: Tell me!

Vanessa: [agonized] Go to Hell!

Hunter raises up his E-Tool to strike Vanessa with it. Before he can, Drake finally arrives and confronts him.

Drake: Leave her alone! I'm the Dragon King.

At first, Hunter is confused by what Drake said, then he bursts out hysterical laughter, alongside all the other Blackhawks.

Hunter: You? Jones's little embarrassment?

Drake: I drove the dragons away. Look around. You don't see any in town, do you?

Rufus: Uh…. No?

Drake: Exactly. All the dragons are afraid of me. I even conquered a Dark Saber!

However, Hunter lets go of Vanessa and steps in front of Drake, towering over him with a scowl.

Hunter: You're bluffing, boy.

Drake: Am I? Well, there's only one way to find out. Take me to Montreal.

Hunter: [beat] Done. Take him!

By his command, Rufus and Fox grab Drake by the arms and shackle his wrist.

Vanessa: Don't you dare take him!

The men behind Vanessa grab hold of her arms, restraining her.

Hunter: You'll be coming with us. After all, in case your father shows up, he'll know when not to hit his own kid. [to the Blackhawks] We're on our way. The rest of you, stay here until I return.

Blackhawks: Sir, yes, sir!

Act Eight

Much later in the early morning, Hunter and his operatives are gone, while everyone else remains captives of the Blackhawks still left in Vanier. Tyler looks over a house rubble with the rest of the group behind him.

Tyler: I counted sixteen. They've captured the Alpha Team and the other Regges.

Ironfist: This won't be a problem. The General is on his way right now. As soon as we ambush them, Javelin and Bazooka will join in.

Gilbert: We'll have to move fast before Hunter might kill Drake.

Tyler: They wouldn't dare!

Dozer: Anyone would.

Ironfist: I'm afraid Tyler is right, Dozer. Until we know for certain what they would need for Drake, he'll be having him alive.

Stryker: We'll do it right away, ma'am. It's almost dawn. We'll use the sunrise for a distraction.

The Blackhawks are about to be sleepy because of the long night they had on the hunt. All of a sudden, Tyler fires at the troopers. Alarmed, the troopers take aim, but the rising sun shines on their faces, forcing them to cover their eyes, and Ironfist ambushes them with the others. The captives roar in cheer for their rescuers, and Stanley arrives in his Jeep that pulls over, before he gets out.

Ironfist: General on deck! [salutes]

One Blackhawk is crawling away, but Stanley stops him and points his gun at his face to interrogate him.

Stanley: Where's Hunter?!

Quinton: He's gone, sir. He took Drake and Vanessa with him.

Stanley: What?! He took my daughter?!

Stanley hears a revving sound from afar. He looks ahead to see the Ospreys are taking off and leaving Ottawa. For a while he stares at them, then he growls a raging face on him.

Stanley: I WILL BRING HER BACK!

Colin: No! [realizing] I mean… she abandoned you for him.

Stanley: Zip it, Colin. And you're under arrest. Get him out of here!

A couple of soldiers arrest Colin and take him away, as Tyler walks over to the General's side.

Tyler: They're heading over to Montreal. Orders, sir?

Stanley: Round up the team, and have them ready.

Tyler: Yes, sir.

Ironfist: You heard him, men! Grab your gear and let's get moving. We're going ahead.

Regges: Yes, ma'am!

Onboard the leading Osprey, Drake and Vanessa are both held captive by a few Blackhawk troopers.

Rufus: So you used to reload guns, eh? My dad used to reload guns too. Yeah, to a global arms corporation. I was fat and sick when he started. Still, he had enough money to pay for my gym license.

Hunter: Now, I'm sure your General's told you plenty about his most feared enemy.

Drake: Wh-who, you? Oh, right, uh…. No. Not so much.

Hunter: Really? Not a word?

Drake: Nope.

Hunter: Nothing?

Drake: Uh-uh.

Hunter: Nothing about Adam Hunter?

Drake: Nope.

Hunter: [grumbles]

Drake: Look, Adam, all I care about is that if I do what I say, you will leave everyone in Ottawa in peace.

Hunter: On my word, son. Our only intention is to see who the Dragon King is and to understand how he does his job.

All the way in Montreal, a bulldozer arrives in the old streets pulling a trailer cart in the backside. It stops on the road; Gordon and a few other Dragon-Eaters get out with their spears and guns, moving ahead across the ruined city. Very quietly, they all travel in Galt Street, in hopes of finding anything they can kill and eat, which are the dragons. A boy, Gordon's son, sees a bird, and he throws a spear at it, but it flies away just before it would kill it.

Gordon: You can't catch anything if you're so loud.

Boy: I can't help it, dad. I'm starving.

Gordon: So are the rest of us, but we've got to be a little more patient.

Girl: I don't even see anything.

Dragon-Eater: Gordon. There he is.

The Dragon-Eater is pointing ahead to show Gordon Shadow, lying on a house not too far away.

Gordon: Ah-ha. Here we go. Now kids, your daddy is going to serve you dragon burgers for lunch today.

With his hunting gun, Gordon quietly loads it and takes aim at the sleeping Shadow, directly towards the chest.

Gordon: Oh, what a setup. Right smack through the dragon's heart.

But then, the sound of a helicopter interrupts Shadow, waking him up and he takes flight. Gordon looks up to see the Blackhawks have arrived in Montreal. Thinking it's the Canadian Forces, he urges the others to leave.

Gordon: The Canadian Forces! Run for the dozer!

The Dragon-Eaters make a run for back to their bulldozer.

Act Nine

The Ospreys land vertically on Nuns' Island before they shut off. Once the ramps are lowered down, dozens of Blackhawk troopers march out to secure the area. Hunter and his operatives walk out of the choppers with their two captives, and Rufus points at Drake's back with his baseball bat.

Drake: Is the bet really necessary?

Rufus: Just go with it, pal. I'm the wrecker, and my job is to wreck anyone or anything when I'm told.

Hunter: Alright, boy. Give us a demonstration, if you can.

Drake: I can, but, um…. Only when there's a dragon nearby.

Snoop: [alarmed] What in tarnation?! Hunter, up top!

Up high, Shadow flies in the air to see Drake down below, and he looks pleased. But after he quickly realizes he's in trouble, he growls and swoops downward.

Hunter: Holy shit! Incoming!

Shadow is going to attack, but Drake secretly raises his hand up, telling him not to attack, so the dragon swerves away from the Blackhawks. He flies over and perches on a skyscraper like a bird, waiting for something to happen. With his binoculars, Hunter looks through them to have a visual of the Dark Saber.

Hunter: Is that what I think it is?

Drake: Yup. The Dark Saber. The fastest creature ever to walk the earth.

Snoop: Now we've got a visual of him, Hunter, we can shoot him down if he so much as gets us.

Drake: No, don't! It will… only make him angrier. You wanted a demonstration, so I'll give it to you. But, um…. She'll have to come along.

Vanessa: What, me?

Fox: What for?

Rufus: Oh, I know! Because she's… the sacrifice, right? Dragons are addicted to maiden sacrifices. Or at least… I hear.

Drake: Uh, right. He knows his stuff. Watch and learn.

Hunter: By all means. [snickers; to Snoop] I hope you're not squeamish, because we're about to see a dragon eat a girl.

As the Blackhawks snicker, Drake takes Vanessa by her wrists and brings her along as they walk over to where Shadow is perching.

Vanessa: [whispers] What are you doing?

Drake: [whispers] Just play along. It's our only option here.

Shadow looks down to see Drake and Vanessa, walking away from the Blackhawks, and when they are close enough, he flies off high above the ground.

Hunter: He's in the air. All units, do not fire until he approaches the victims.

Drake and Vanessa are still walking along, but Vanessa is being pushed ahead as a meat shield. Shadow lowers himself down, perching down on a ruined truck trailer, cooing and staring down at them. The Blackhawks remain still, ready to fire.

Fox: Dude, this is actually intense.

Snoop: Look at him, fellas. He looks like a lizard, but he moves like a cat.

Hunter: He's waiting. Quietly.

Rufus: I don't know if we can get him.

Hunter: We must try, wrecker.

Shadow raises up his rear end, ready to pounce. Then, he pounces on Drake and Vanessa to lick them, while the Blackhawk thinks he's eating them.

Rufus: HE'S EATING THEM!

Vanessa: [giggles] Hey, that tickles.

Drake: [whispering] We missed you too, Shadow. Now follow my lead. Vanessa, stay low.

Drake gets up and "play" fights with Shadow. As they are, he grabs Shadow's saddle on the sly and puts it on him.

Drake: You cannot defeat me! You dirty dragon! I am your king!

At first, Hunter is relieved to know Drake is telling the truth. However, he sees Vanessa on the ground and he grows suspicious.

Hunter: Wait a minute. What do you think you're doing?

Drake: Getting out of here. Shadow, now!

As Drake gets on him, Shadow picks up Vanessa and takes flight again, flying away from the Blackhawks.

Hunter: Where are you going?! Come back here with that dragon! I still have your friends! [pauses] Dammit! FIRE! FIRE AT WILL!

And so, the Blackhawks open fire at the Dark Saber, but Shadow flies away to evade the bullets and he goes into the downtown area.

Hunter: Get all Apaches in the air!

In the air, Vanessa climbs her way up onto Shadow's back, sitting down behind Drake. Then, the Apache come along and fire their M230 cannons at the speeding Shadow, but they keep missing as the two riders duck down.

Pilot: Target's taking speed, but we got him locked on. Firing Hydras.

The lead Apache fires Hydra 70 rockets, but they miss Shadow before they hit a skyscraper. On the island, the Blackhawks see them heading back.

Commander: Here they come! Fire!

As the troopers fire their guns, the M270 MLRS fires its rockets, but even they miss Shadow when he twirls before they strike a few Apaches. However, when Shadow is in the clear, two of the Ospreys hover in the air and they hold him at gunpoint with machine guns holstered to the ramps. Fox and Rufus are on one of the Ospreys, manning the guns.

Hunter: A very good catch, boys. Now we know who the Dragon King is, we're taking him to Chicago.

Ironfist: He's not going anywhere with you.

Hunter looks back to see Ironfist standing alone, and he chuckles.

Hunter: Tymbark. I haven't seen you since Calgary. You've really changed.

Ironfist: And you're still a self-proclaimed patriot.

Hunter: Words hurt, Rosie, but I can manage it.

Ironfist: Call me Rosie again, and I'll yank your spine out. But… Dalloway will do the job instead.

Hunter: Him and what army?

Ironfist: Him and this army!

The rest of the Alpha Team appear on their dragons, as well as a Chinook and engage in battle. The helicopter drops down Tyler, Gilbert and the Regges, who take on the Blackhawks on foot. The Alpha Team shows up to shove away the Ospreys, allowing Shadow to fly off.

Drake: Guys! You made it!

Quinton: Next time, warn us that you would come back here.

Drake: Listen up. Do what you have to take out the Blackhawks.

Michael: On it, my man!

The Alpha Team flies around the Ospreys, shooting them with their breath attacks, as well as the Apaches. On the ground, the Regges open fire at the Blackhawks, but with heavy troopers and flametroopers on Hunter's side, they're forced to take shelter behind the rubble, checking their ammunitions.

Tyler: Quick, reload yourselves!

Crossword: [panicked] We've got no more bullets! We're out!

Gilbert: Look, there's Rose!

Ironfist is charging ahead, and pummels the Blackhawks with her cyborg arms, until Hunter shoots her with a taser gun, before he holds her hostage.

Hunter: Now we've got you, Tymbark. [to the Blackhawks] Keep shooting!

The troopers open fire at the sheltering Regges as Ironfist is being dragged along by Hunter. The Apaches are all dealt with, but Drake looks down to see the Captain captured.

Drake: Guys, hold your fire.

Quinton: Helios, fire!

Quinton misunderstands him and fires a near miss with Helios, causing huge amounts of steam as the flames hit the water.

Drake: Quinton, I said hold it!

Quinton: Sorry. I thought you said….

Ethan: Wait. Drake, the water.

Drake looks back down again to see the steam from the water, and that gives him an idea.

Drake: That's it. Alpha Team! Fire at the water!

The dragons create a massive cloud of fog as their flames create steam. But the Stilwells' Ironback, since its only a water-spraying dragon, lets out more steam from their jaws to obscure visibility. The Blackhawks lose their confidence, intimidated by the eerie fog that blinds them, and hear the dragons' roars through it.

Hunter: Take aim and fire!

Snoop: Are you kidding? This fog is as thick as peanut butter.

Trooper: Mr. Snoop, that's "pea soup".

Snoop: You eat what you like, and I'll eat what I-

Suddenly, Fin and Flip land hard on the ground, and let out boiling hot water at the Blackhawks, who quickly back away from getting burned. Hunter is knocked off balance and Ironfist hits him twice. Before he can recapture her, Shadow flies by and rams into his face. With a quick turn, they pick up Ironfist and escape.

Ironfist: Nice save, kid.

Drake: We're not out of the woods yet.

The Regges get on the Ironback before it flies up back in the air as the Blackhawks try to shoot them down. The Osprey is shooting at the General's Chinook, fighting back with its own gunner at the ramp. All of a sudden, Clover rams onto the Osprey, followed by Shadow's thunder blast, and it forces Fox and Rufus to jump out before it explodes. As the fog fades, the two of them see they are falling down to the St. Lawrence River.

Fox: Keep your legs straight when you hit the water!

They both keep the legs straight, and splashes in the water, right before they float up to the surface.

Rufus: That's why you always wear a parachute, Fox.

Act Ten

The remaining Blackhawks and the M270 MLRS open firing at the Alpha Team astride their dragons, Hunter and Snoop get on their last Osprey before it flies up. But Stanley jumps off his chopper, lands on the hood, and opens the side door before getting in.

Stanley: Hunter!

Snoop sees him and draws his pistol, but he loses balance as the Osprey swerves away from the battle. Then, Stanley pounds Hunter on the face, knocking him down.

Stanley: You're a coward taking my daughter.

Hunter: I take what I want! You know that, Stewart!

Stanley: Not this time.

Hunter grabs an anchor line and whips it around in an attempt to kill the General, but he gets the anchor stuck in the ramp he damaged on an earlier swing. Stanley yanks him forward, and wraps Hunter's wrists with the rope before he disorients him with a punch to the face. The ramp detaches and pulls Hunter overboard. With him done, Stanley leaps out before he catches Helios's tail, grabbing Quinton's attention.

Quinton: General?

Stanley: Blow them down.

Quinton: Oh! Yes, sir!

Drake and Shadow begin a deadly diving assault on the Osprey, alongside Vanessa shooting her shotgun, as Snoop jumps overboard. The dragons each shoot at the M270 MLRS, and soon, the Osprey crash-lands on it, so the battle is won. Hunter floats in the river, observing the Canadians flying away on their dragons.

Hunter: This isn't over, Stewart! I'll be back!

With the Blackhawks defeated, everyone flies away to land on Oka Beach, safe and sound, but Stanley glares down at Drake and Vanessa for what they did last night.

Stanley: You two have a lot to explain.

Drake: I was thinking… all I needed to do was to get to Shadow. And together, we'd be able to make things right. But I…. I should be punished.

Stanley: Captain Ironfist will be the judge of that. [to Vanessa] And you, you should know better than to defy my orders.

Vanessa: I'm sorry. But I…. I just….

Before he can let her finish, Stanley just hugs her with a pleased tone.

Stanley: I almost thought I would lose you again. But I'm so glad… you made it.

Vanessa realizes that Stanley is more grateful than angry to see her okay, so she hugs her back. As Drake watches them, Tyler and Rose walk over to his side.

Tyler: The next time you try to go rogue, gimme a warning next time. I was in the General's shoes when I was informed of your whereabouts.

Drake: That's, uh… kind of my thing, Tyler.

Rose: Well, you've got heart, kid. I'll give you that. However, you disobeyed my orders to take a plane instead of being captured. I would make you run sixty laps for that. But… you helped us win the battle, so we can let this one slide.

All of a sudden, a few soldiers come along with the Dragon-Eaters captured and in shackles.

Soldier: General? We got 'em. They were driving a bulldozer to get here.

Stanley: Well. It looks like Dalloway was proven right all along. Team, we're going back home to Ottawa. We've got an important guest of honour to welcome. And the Dragon-Eaters will be in custody to eat fruits and vegetables for the remainder of their days.

Gordon: [displeased] Oh, come on! I have kids to feed!

Tyler: What, they don't like Caesar salad? Let's go now.

Back in the St. Lawrence River, Hunter and his operatives are able to swim back to shore, but they're shocked because they lost their fight with the Canadian Forces.

Fox: That does it, guys. That does it. This means war, Hunter!

Rufus: But what now? We lost to them, we might lose again.

Snoop: Not with reinforcements we won't. We're gonna swarm around them like honeybees to a bear. We're gonna use every American weapon. Get the guns, the tanks, the nukes. And…. Wait a minute, a nuke I said? I don't know, that would be too extreme if you ask me.

Hunter smiles broadly, and he starts to laugh wildly, pounding on the dirt.

Snoop: Oh, boy. He's cracked. Must be a breakdown.

Snoop walks over to the cackling Hunter and knocks on his head.

Snoop: Hunter? Hey, Adam. Get a grip, will ya?!

Then, Hunter grabs Snoop around the neck, furiously.

Snoop: [choking] Good grip!

Hunter: I should've known about this from very beginning. Not only do they train dragons, but they also RIDE THEM LIKE THEY ARE HORSE! [laughs cruelly] You know what that means, don't you Snoop?

Snoop: That the Canadians are not as vulnerable as we thought?

Hunter: Yes. Because they have the Dragon King. We get that boy, and we'll ride dragons!

With this, all the surviving Blackhawks break out into sinister laughter.

Soon enough, the entire team returns to Ottawa as they land near Centre Block on Parliament Hill, where the crowd cheers for the dragons' return and the Blackhawks' defeat.

Drake: You hear that, bro? You're back home.

[Shadow barks]

Just then, the doors of Parliament Building are opened, and coming out from there is the new Prime Minister: Jonathan Bailey. An old man with a balding head with some white hair, but a gentle face. He comes over before the soldiers salute to his arrival.

Jonathan: Rose. It's been a long time, dear child. You've grown up so fast.

Ironfist: Yes, Jonathan. Almost nine years since the last time we've met. But I'm surprised that you were voted.

Jonathan: This may be the will of Heaven. And you must be Drake. The Vatican has heard so much about you. I'm curious to know if it's true… that you have a guardian angel.

Drake: Well, uh…. With all due respect, that info is classified. So sorry.

Ironfist: He'll learn from all of us soon enough, Prime Minister. He's got a lot to learn.

Jonathan: Maybe… but at the same time, I will be tutoring him some other time, Rose. Bear it in mind for me.

Jonathan takes his leave to greet the others, but Drake speaks with the Captain for something.

Drake: Captain? [pauses] I owe you one. I guess I just… misjudged you too much there.

Ironfist: Maybe you did. If anything, I was the one who misjudged you most of all. I still question why your dragon is a guardian angel instead of a human being. But who knows? The Lord works in mysterious ways.

Drake: But now I see what you were training me for. You knew those people would come.

Ironfist: I did. The Chicago Blackhawks are led by Adam Hunter, a former Green Beret who bends on expanding the USA borders, the primary reason for his discharge. Now that he knows you are the Dragon King, he'll stop at nothing to get his hands on you, and worse. He might make you train dragons for his own plots.

Drake: [determined] Not a chance. I won't let anyone tame animals for anymore human conflicts.

Ironfist: [smiles] I like your spirit, kid. And now… there's one last thing to do.

Afterwards, Drake and Tyler both wire some cables to electrical con units on the ground, and they put them into Shadow's mouth. Biting on the cables, Shadow starts sparking up the con units with his bioelectricity, and all that power is enough to bring back the power supply to the entire city, which it did. The citizens roar in cheer again, knowing the power is back online.

Tyler: Never thought Dark Saber's have high volts of electricity. [chuckles] I should put that on the Dragon Journal.

Drake: Me too. That's Rose for ya. [to Shadow] Let's restrain ourselves from pranking her, okay bud?

[Shadow chirping]

Stanley and Ironfist look at them from afar with proud smiles on their faces, knowing that things will go well with Drake.

Ironfist: He's got true spirit, motivation, and he's unwilling to give up. My kind of kid who's ready to become a man.

Stanley: I agree. We'll let him enjoy the summer. But for the rest of us, we must be prepared. Troops! Secure the city! Tap all communications! Restock all weapons! We won the dragon wars, but now we have new war to face: our own kind. If the Blackhawks come back and infiltrate us, I want all men armed and ready for battle!

Soldiers: Sir, yes, sir!

So all the soldiers, minus the Alpha Team, mobilize to be ready for the next battle with the Chicago Blackhawks.

Narrator: It's funny how an attack by your greatest enemy can change things overnight. I set out to prove that our dragons would never hurt us. What they proved, is that they will always protect us. And now, we're facing a new enemy who would stop at nothing to get what they want and have us out of the way, so it looks like… another war begins.

The End
