Live with Katherine Mulligan
At the Loud house in the front yard; a TV news crew was outside with the Loud family, and some of the Pokemon that Lincoln sent them, about to do a live interview.
"This is award-winning news anchorwoman, Katherine Mulligan, reporting live at the home of the Loud family to talk about the newly discovered creatures known as Pokemon." said Katherine. She then holds the microphone to Lynn Loud Sr.
"How did you all first learn about these amazing creatures?" Katherine asked Lynn Sr.
"It all started when our daughter, Luan, tried mailing our son, Lincoln, to a relative as an April Fools' Day prank." said Lynn Sr before he glares at Luan, making her look away in shame.
"Isn't that a little excessive?" asked Katherine.
"You literally have no idea how she is on April Fools Day." said Lori.
"Anyway, things didn't exactly go as she planned and he was mailed somewhere else." said Rita.
"We were all worried sick about him and wondered where he was." said Luna. "But a couple days later, we get a call from bro, and he tells us he's in some place called the Alola Region where these little dudes and dudettes are from."
"What is this Alola Region like?" asked Katherine.
"Lincoln said it's pretty much like Hawaii, but with Pokemon in it." said Luan.
"He's currently attending a school there that teaches students about them." said Rita.
"How did these Pokemon get here from Alola?" asked Katherine.
"By using plans for a Pokemon Transport System that a Pokemon known as Rotom sent me, I constructed the device here that Lincoln uses to send any Pokemon he believes any of us would like to us." explained Lisa.
"Could you tell our viewers watching what these Pokemon are?" asked Katherine.
"Okay." said Leni as she picks up Pikachu. "This cutie is called a Pikachu. She can zap anything with electrcity."
"Where does she get electricity from?" asked Katherine.
"Pikachu's have a gland located in their cheeks that produce electricity." explained Lisa.
"She really comes in handy." said Rita. "She helps power our small appliances so we waste less power."
"She also charges our devices also." said Lori.
"What other Pokemon has your brother sent you all?" asked Katherine. Lola pushes Lori aside and makes the cameraman point his news camera towards her.
"Lola Loud here; and I want to introduce everyone to all my cute Pokemon!" said Lola as she looks at the Pokemon that Lincoln sent her. "This little one with the flower is called a Flabebe, the blue clam-looking one is called a Clamperl, when Lincoln sent her, she has this pearl." Lola then holds out the Big Pearl that Clamperl had on her when she arrived.
"That's a pearl?!" Katherine asked with surprise. "It's the size of a softball."
"Don't interrupt me, sweetie." said Lola. "Anyway, as I was saying; the pink one with the coral branches sticking out of her is called a Corsola, the one that's covered in jewels is called a Carbink, this majestic one is called a Milotic, and by far, my favorite one of all is this beautiful pink one with the ribbons called a Sylveon." She then nuzzles Sylveon's face.
"She really is beautiful." said Katherine Mulligan. She then holds the microphone towards Lana. "What Pokemon do you have?"
"The purple snake one is called an Ekans." said Lana. "The monkey-looking one is called a Mankey, the brown donkey-looking one is called a Mudbray, and my favorite one is the sludgy one called a Grimer."
"Ugh, it smells horrible!" said Katherine as she pinches her nose shut.
"I know; isn't it great?!" asked Lana as she puts her face against Grimer and takes a deep whiff.
"Anyway, who's next?" asked Katherine.
"I am." said Lucy from behind Katherine, startling her.
"You nearly gave me a heart attack!" said Katherine.
"Wicked." said Lucy. "Anyway, the blue bat one is called a Zubat, the purple one with the big batlike ears and wings is called a Noibat, and that blue, ghostly looking one with the necklace is my favorite, Misdreavus. I like her because when I put my ears up to her necklace, I hear shrieks of agony."
"Oooookay." said Katherine, looking a little creeped out. She then looks at Lily who was cuddling her Spinda.
"The Pokemon that Lily is hugging is called a Spinda." said Rita.
"What's wrong with its eyes?" asked Katherine.
"Nothing; they're always like that." said Lori.
"And the Loud family aren't the only ones in possession of Pokemon." said Katherine.
A half hour later at the Hunnicut family's farm, Katherine was standing outside the family's barn with Liam and his family.
"We're here at Hunnicut Farm with the Hunnicutt family." said Katherine before she holds the microphone towards Liam. "Is it true that you have Pokemon here as well?"
"We sure do." said Liam. He and his parents lead Katherine to the field where the Miltanks that Lincoln sent them were grazing with the regular cows.
"What are these Pokemon called?" asked Katherine.
"Them there are called Miltanks." said Liam's grandmother, Mimi. "The milk they make is the most delicious milk I ever tasted."
"At first we had one of them Miltanks; but because of how popular the milk got after people first tasted it, we asked Lincoln to send a few more over." said Liam's father.
"Is that why that long line of people is outside that fence?" asked Katherine as she gestures towards the front of the Hunnicut property where there was in fact a long line of people.
"You got that right, Missy." said Mimi. She then takes a bottle of Moomoo Milk from off a nearby stool and pours it into a glass; she then holds it out to Katherine who accepts it, and after some reluctance, she takes a sip and her eyes widen after she does.
"That really is the most delicious milk I've ever tasted." said Katherine before she drinks the rest of it in one gulp.
Later at the Royal Woods Cemetery, Katherine and her cameraman were looking around with nervous looks on their faces.
"Where are they?" asked Katherine.
"Hi." Haiku says from behind the two, startling them.
"Are you one of the Mortician Club's members?" asked Katherine as she tries to slow the beating of her heart.
"Yes." said Haiku.
"Are the other members around here?" asked Katherine as she nervously looks around.
"Yes." said Morpheus from behind Katherine, startling her, and making her turn to see the rest of the Mortician's Club and Sableye.
"Let's hurry before I suffer a heart attack." said Katherine before looking at Sableye. "What is this Pokemon like?"
"It's called a Sableye." said Dante. "Lincoln sent it to us days ago."
"It's a combination of two types of Pokemon that suit us; ghost and dark types." said Penelope.
"Boris likes Sableye." said Boris.
"I...see." said Katherine.
Later at Lola's pageant studio, Katherine was standing with Lola's pageant friends and the Sylveon that Lincoln sent for them.
"And I recall that this Pokemon is called a Sylveon, is that right?" asked Katherine.
"Yes, and we really, really, really love her." said one of Lola's pageant friends.
"And we really appreciate Lola's brother sending her to us." said another of Lola's pageant friends.
"This is a better interview than those spooky kids at the cemetery." said Katherine.
Later, back at the Loud house, Katherine was continuing her interview with the Louds.
"So is your son doing other things in Alola besides learning about Pokemon?" asked Katherine.
"Yes, he's trying to earn the right to enter a regional competition called the Alola League where trainers have their Pokemon battle to determine the best one among all the other participants is." explained Lynn Sr.
"Has your son sent other Pokemon besides the ones here?" asked Katherine.
"The other four Pokemon; Crabrawler, Makuhita, Hawlucha, and Machop are with our daughter Lynn Jr." said Lynn Sr.
"And where are they at?" asked Katherine.
"They're with our daughter, Lynn Jr." replied Rita.
"Where is she now?" asked Katherine.
"Believe it or not; she mailed herself to the Alola Region a few days ago." said Lynn Sr with a frown.
"Why would she do that?!" asked Katherine.
"You see, besides the Alola League that Lincoln's going for; there's another competition called the Pokemon Battle Royale Tournament." explained Rita.
"What's that like?" asked Katherine.
"It's where four trainers have their Pokemon battle at the same time." said Lynn Sr. "The participants are trying to earn the chance to challenge the Battle Royale Champion, the Masked Royal, for his title; when Junior found out about it, she mailed herself to try competing."
"What Pokemon did she have with her?" asked Katherine. Suddenly, Lynn Sr's device rings, making him look to see that he was getting a call from Lincoln; he answers his device and soon sees Lincoln, Lynn Jr, and Lance and his family.
"Hi, Dad." said Lincoln.
"Hey, everyone." said Lynn Sr. Lincoln then notices Katherine standing behind his dad.
"Are you on the news?" asked Lynn Jr.
"Yeah." said Rita. "Hang on, we'll hook Lynn's device to the TV." The Louds and news crew head inside where they do so; a minute later, Lincoln and Lynn appear on the TV screen.
"Hi, everyone." said Lincoln.
"Wow, we're on TV in more ways than one." said Sharon.
"Awesome!" said Shiloh.
"Lincoln Loud; Katherine Mulligan here." said Katherine. "I've been interviewing your family and friends about the Alola Region and the Pokemon you sent them."
"Wow." said Lincoln.
"I'm wondering what other Pokemon you and your sister, Lynn Jr, have with you right now." said Katherine.
"We can show you." said Lincoln as he and Lynn Jr toss their pokeballs, releasing their Pokemon.
"What are they called?" asked Katherine.
"The white and orange cat one is called a Torracat, the bird one is called a Rufflet, the dog one is called a Herdier, the ghost one with the white stump on her head is called a Phantump, the blue serpent one is called a Gyarados, and the orange and white wolf one is called a Lycanroc." said Lincoln.
"The purple lobster-looking one with the red claws is called Crabrawler, the yellow one with the topknot on its head, and black hands is called a Makuhita; the green and white bird-looking one is called a Hawlucha, and the grayish blue one is called Machop." said Lynn Jr.
"And speaking of Hawlucha, I sent one over to a friend of mine there." said Lincoln.
"Interesting." said Katherine.
"Hey, is Lucy there?" asked Lincoln.
"I'm here, brother." said Lucy from next to Katherine, scaring her and the Loud family.
"I'm at a Pokemon Center; I'm sending two more Pokemon over; one for you, and one for the Mortician's Club." said Lincoln.
"Wicked." said Lucy. Lisa runs upstairs to get the Pokemon and soon comes down with them; she hands the pokeballs to Lucy who tosses them, releasing a Gastly and a purple balloon-looking one with stringy arms, and a yellow x-shaped mark on its face.
"What are these Pokemon called?" asked Katherine.
"The one that looks like a black ball with eyes and a mouth is called a Gastly; it's a boy and that one's for Lucy." said Lincoln. "The other one is called a Drifloon; it's a girl and that's for your Mortician Club friends."
"What's Drifloon like?" asked Lucy.
"I'll bring up her file." said Lincoln as he types in something in his device, making an image of Drifloon appear on the TV screen.
"Drifloon, the Balloon Pokemon. Its round body is stuffed with souls and expands each time it leads someone away." said Lincoln's Rotom Phone.
"And I heard this Pokemon drags children off to the afterlife." said Lincoln.
"Wicked." said Lucy while everyone else shudders.
"Gastly knows Hypnosis, Lick, Spite, and Mean Look; plus he has the Levitate ability which makes her immune to ground attacks." said Lincoln. "And Drifloon knows Constrict, Minimize, Astonish, and Gust; plus she has the Aftermath ability that damages any Pokemon that knocks her out."
"My friends will love her." said Lucy.
"Hey, Lincoln." Mallow's voice calls out. The image on the TV then shows Lincoln's Alola friends running over to him.
"Hey, everyone." said Lincoln.
"Who are they?" asked Katherine. Lincoln then introduces her to his friends.
"Are we on the news?" asked Sophocles.
"Yep." said Lincoln.
"Where are you at right now, Lincoln?" asked Katherine.
"I'm in a city on an island called Melemele Island called Hau'oli City." said Lincoln.
"How about a tour?" asked Katherine. Lincoln then shows Katherine and her TV audience around the city; he then enters Alola Sunrise and shows all the jewelry there.
"And I earned a good amount of money working at Mallow's family's restaurant yesterday, so I planned on buying Lori, Leni, and Lola each something here." said Lincoln, making said sisters squeal with delight.
"That's nice of you to buy souvenirs for your sisters." said Katherine.
"Actually, he sent other things from Alola Sunrise to us already." said Lori before she, Leni, and Lola run upstairs, then come back down with the jewelry that Lincoln sent already.
"He also bought some for a couple of my friends also." said Leni. She, Lori, and Lola each select another piece of jewelry for Lincoln to buy them.
"This interview has been very interesting." said Katherine. "I might just come back soon and do another one concerning Pokemon."
"We'll let you know when something happens." said Lynn Sr.
"Thank you." said Katherine. "This is Katherine Mulligan, signing off." After the news crew leave, the Louds talk to Lincoln and Lynn.
"Today was very exciting." said Rita.
"And don't forget to give your friends the Drifloon, Lucy." said Lincoln.
"I won't." said Lucy.
"You and Lynn Jr enjoy the rest of your day, sweetie." said Rita.
"We will, Mom." said Lincoln.
Now more of Royal Woods knows about Pokemon. What else will happen as Lincoln and Lynn's Alola adventure continues?
