I don't own Young Sheldon or the Big Bang Theory. All rights and characters belong to Chuck Lorre and Steven Molaro. And the cast who play the characters. Please support the show.
This story from now on will not follow the canon storyline. A lot of changes will happen. Especially Sheldon. He will still love trains and comic books of course. And He still is incredibly smart. Think of Sheldon as Leonard. But much cooler. I hope you have fun with this chapter.
Chapter 2: The Truth of Sheldon and Family Bonding.
Sheldon woke up from his sleep. The young boy genius from Texas began to unravel his blankets slowly. He yawned as he stood up. He began to look at himself in his mirror. He didn't exactly notice any difference in his appearance. But he frowned. He didn't like his hair. He didn't exactly know how to explain it. But, his gut told him that his current hairstyle wasn't exactly a good way to make friends his age, which was strange since he normally didn't listen to superstitious nonsense sayings like that. His merging with his other self must have triggered those lines of thinking. But he didn't necessarily hate it.
"Mmm, maybe I should use some of my savings to get a haircut."
He opened his closet and frowned again. He really didn't like his clothes anymore. Another thing that must have happened when he merged with his other self.
"God, what the hell was I thinking? Bow ties?"
He took a pair of jeans he got from Georgi for his 14th birthday. He never wore them before because he used to think they were kinda tight and showed his figure too much. But, now he didn't quite mind it. The boy also took a white shirt that Missy bought for him. The logo on it was apparently from a famous Texas brand. He wondered why he had never worn them before.
"Oh, right," thought Sheldon with a sigh.
Missy told him wearing this shirt would make him look cool. And he didn't like that before.
"Man, I really have been a jerk, haven't I? I never used any of the gifts my brother and twin sister gave to me." Sheldon nodded. "Right. It's decided then," he thought.
He grabbed a pair black socks and underwear from drawer and walked toward the bathroom. He actually came across Georgie in the hallway.
His brother yawned. "Morning, Sheldon."
"Morning, Georgie," said Sheldon with a smile. "Had a bad sleep? You look tired."
Georgie nodded sleepily. "Yeah. Ceecee has been crying waterfalls the whole night. I'm surprised ya didn't hear it."
"Yikes. And we all know how you like your sleep. How is Mandy doing?"
"She's fine," said Georgie tiredly. "She and Ceecee are sleeping like babies now. I'm just going downstairs to get some coffee."
Sheldon smiled. "I see. Just be careful you don't fall of the stairs in your tired state. It certainly will wake you up. But I wouldn't recommend it," said Sheldon with a chuckle.
Georgie snickered. "Yeah. Thanks." The teen's eyes widened suddenly. "Hey, wait. Did you just make a joke?"
Sheldon shrugged. "Maybe."
Georgie also noticed the jeans and the white shirt that his brother was carrying. "Hey, aren't those jeans the ones I gave to you for your birthday? And that shirt is a gift from Missy, right?"
Sheldon nodded.
"But I thought you didn't like them?"
Sheldon began to smile. "I thought a change might be a good way to start the day. And actually. I think these look dope."
If Georgie wasn't surprised at first. He certainly was now. Sheldon using slang. Was he still sleeping? Was this a dream? He pinched himself.
"Aw."
Nope, he was still awake.
Sheldon chuckled. "Why are you pinching yourself, Georgie? You're being silly."
"Right," said Georgie with an awkward look. Maybe he was still dreaming.
"Anyway. I have plans to get a new haircut so I better take my shower now. See ya later Georgie."
The oldest sibling nodded slowly. "Ya. See ya later."
He watched as Sheldon began to whistle as he walked towards the bathroom.
"Was that Sheldon whistling," said Missy surprised as she appeared behind Georgie.
"I think so. I even heard him talking slang."
Missy's eyes widened. "Wait seriously."
"Yeah. How long have we known Sheldon?"
"All our lives," said Missy.
"And has he ever whistled or talked slang before?"
"Nope."
"He even had those Jeans with him I got him for his birthday. And your white shirt. He even said he was going to get a new haircut."
Missy's eyes widened in shock. "Wait, what? You are sure of that? Maybe we are still dreaming."
"Nope, I pinched myself. I'm wide awake."
Sheldon's head suddenly appeared from the bathroom door. "Hey Georgie. May I use some of your cologne?"
The older teen nodded hesitantly. "Uh, sure Sheldon. You can."
Sheldon smiled in thanks. "You're the best. Oh, hi Missy."
"Hey, Shelly. Are you doing ok? You're acting a bit strangely."
Sheldon chuckled. "No worries I'm fine. By the way. I want to ask you a fashion tip. Does the white shirt I got from you go well together with Georgi's jeans? And what kinda jacket should I wear with it?"
Missy was shocked. "Uh. Well… maybe a black jacket. And yeah. Those jeans and shirt work well together."
Sheldon smiled at that. "Thank's Missy. I appreciate it twinny."
"W-wait what?"
"Sorry guys. I love to chat more. But the shower is going and I don't want to waste water. Talk to you later."
Sheldon closed the door.
"Did Sheldon just call me twinny?"
Georgie nodded slowly. "Yeah. That he did. Okay, I'm wide awake now. We better talk to Mom about this. He might have hit his head."
Missy frowned. "Well, should we? Maybe it's just a prank."
"You know how Sheldon's pranks are," said Georgie with a look. "They certainly aren't creative like this."
Missy nodded. "Yeah. You're right about that."
"What's going on here so early in the morning," said Mary as she, Meemaw, and Mandy walked in the hallway.
"It's Sheldon, mom. He's acting very strangely. And not in a weird way how he normally does," said Georgie a bit worried.
The radio suddenly turned on. They suddenly heard Sheldon singing along with the song.
"Some people call me the space cowboy, yeah. Some call me the gangster of love. Some people call me Maurice 'Cause I speak of the pompatus of love."
Mandy's eyes widened. "Wait. That's your brother? I didn't know he could sing so well."
"Me neither," said Georgie shocked.
"You got to admit. The kid has a good set of lungs in him," said Meewaw impressed.
Mary nodded at that. "Yes. But why did he have to sing this song."
"Cause I'm a picker I'm a grinner. I'm a lover. And I'm a sinner. I play my music in the sun. I'm a joker. I'm a smoker. I'm a midnight toker. I sure don't want to hurt no one."
Missy couldn't help but chuckle. "I don't know what happened to Sheldon. But I love it."
Mandy began to swing her hips to tune. "Oh, I just love this song."
"It's a sinful song," said Mary with a frown. "I rather he stick with his soft kitty song."
As the song ended. The family heard that Sheldon had turned off the shower. And after a few minutes had passed. He walked outside in his new wardrobe and his hair was still a bit wet. The Cooper family's eyes widened at Sheldon's new look. He now wore his blue tight jeans and white shirt.
"Oh, hey guys. Sorry if you were waiting to take a shower. It's free now."
"Shelly," said Mary surprised. "What happened to your clothes?"
The boy genius shrugged. "I thought it was time to change my look. No big deal Mom. Oh, I'll be out for a bit. I plan to get a new haircut. See you all later."
The boy began to whistle a happy tune as he went downstairs.
"Wow. Those clothes are going to change his image for sure," said Missy with a grin.
"What could have happened to him," said Mary worried. "Did he hit his head?"
"I think he did. This is not normal behavior for Sheldon," said Georgie.
Meemaw chuckled. "Let it be. Maybe the boy has finally met a girl he likes. He might have dressed himself to impress her."
Mandy smiled. "Good for him."
Missy smirked. "A girl? Sheldon? This I gotta see."
Before everyone could protest. The girl had left to follow her twin brother.
"Missy Cooper come back here," said Mary in a strict tone.
"I'm kinda curious myself," said Mandy.
"Ain't gonna lie. If there is a girl involved that can change Sheldon like that. I really wanna meet her," said Georgie.
"Wanna stalk him," said Meemaw with a grin.
Even if Mary was against it. They wouldn't listen to her. So, they all quickly got dressed and followed Missy.
"Georgie, don't forget Ceecee," said Mandy.
"Oh, right. Can't leave our baby alone.
Paige frowned as she looked at available hairstyles. "Mmm, I think I'll choose this one."
"A good choice Miss," said a male barber.
The door of the salon suddenly opened.
"Just a minute honey. I'll be right back," said the man.
Paige nodded with a smile. She began to read in her fashion magazine.
"Well, hello there young man. Welcome too Shaqs salon de beauté. How can I help you?"
The teen smiled. "Well, I kinda want a new haircut. But I don't know exactly what is popular. Do you have any recommendations?"
Paige's eyes widened. That voice. It was Sheldon's. What was he doing here? Paige took a small glimpse at Sheldon through the mirror. Her eyes widened.
"What the? What the heck was he wearing? He… he looks so cool in those clothes. But how?"
The man chuckled. "But of course young man. Here are some of our more popular styles for boys your age."
Sheldon took a good look at the styles. "Wow, I think I like that one the most."
The man nodded with a smile. "Oh, going for a Matt Leblanc style are you? I think that look will certainly soothe you."
Sheldon nodded with a smile.
"Good take a seat next to Paige and someone will be right with you."
Sheldon's eyes widened. "Wait, Paige?"
"Hey Sheldon," said Paige with a smile. "Wow. What's with the new look? Do you have a date?"
Sheldon took calmly his seat next to Paige. "No," said the teen with a chuckle. "Just thought I change my style a bit. The bow ties were getting a bit old."
Paige looked confused. "What made you do this? You never cared for trying new things before? What happened?"
Sheldon sighed. "Well, I doubt you would believe me. But last night. I met my other self in my dreams."
Paige frowned. "Wait what? Other self?"
Sheldon frowned. "I tell you later. Are you down with having lunch at Wendy's? My treat," said Sheldon with a grin.
Paige gained a small blush. He was actually pretty handsome when he smiled. "Uhm, sure. I don't mind."
"Great," said the teen with a smile. "It's a date."
Paige turned completely red. What the hell was happening? Is she blushing for Sheldon Cooper? This wasn't a dream, right?
"Aw," said Paige suddenly.
"What's wrong? Did you hurt yourself," said Sheldon worried.
"Uh no. I'm fine," said Paige turning even redder.
Ok. So she was not dreaming. Paige rubbed the place she had pinched herself. So, what was going on with Sheldon?
Outside the Hairsalon. The whole Cooper family was waiting for Sheldon to come back outside.
"This is not right," said Mary. "Spying on Shelly like this."
Meemaw snorted at her daughter. "C'mon, Marry. Admit it. You are curious too."
"Well, maybe a little. I do want to know who this girl is. But still. Spying? I don't feel good about it."
"Then leave. Nobody is forcing you to do this," said Meemaw.
"And leave you all alone," said Mary with a frown. "I don't think so. Look. We don't even know if it's a girl that made Sheldon change so much."
"What other reason would there be," said Georgie confused. "I'm pretty sure it's a girl."
Mandy nodded. "Yeah. I think so too."
Missy sighed. "You know. I rather wished you guys didn't come. This was my idea in the first place. Sheldon is going to notice us if we are with so many people."
"I was against you from going in the first place Missy," said Mary strictly.
"Yeah, yeah. I know."
An hour went by. It was almost noon when they finally saw Sheldon step out with his new haircut.
"Oh, damm. Is that really Sheldon," said Georgie shocked.
"That hairstyle. It's the one Matt Leblanc has," said Mandy with a grin.
"Wait? Is that Paige," said Missy surprised. And she saw her laughing.
"Who is she," said Mandy confused.
"She is a genius like Sheldon. But without the crazy behavior," said Meemaw.
"Shelly is not crazy. I had him tested remember," said Mary.
Georgie was shocked. "Dang, who would have thought? Sheldon going out with Paige Swanson. Maybe it's the cologne he borrowed from me."
"Cmon. Let's follow them."
The Cooper family followed Sheldon and Paige to Wendy's. But instead of staying there. They decided to eat their food at a park. A park that was all to familiar to Mary. The family decided to hide between some bushes. And began to listen to their conversation.
"So, Sheldon. Continue from earlier. You said something about meeting a different version of yourself in your dream."
Sheldon nodded. "Yeah. I didn't want to tell my family about it. Especially my mom. If she found out I met another self in my dream." Sheldon chuckled. "She probably would think I'm possessed and call pastor Jeff to free me from an evil spirit."
The Cooper family except Mary chuckled at that.
Mary frowned. Well, Sheldon may be right. But still.
"And also," continued Sheldon. "I didn't want to worry her even more. She already is going through a tough time since Dad died. I don't want to bother her when she is still in pain."
"Oh, Shelly," thought the woman with a sad smile.
"I understand," said Paige. "So? What is this you said about this other self of yours."
"Well, apparently. He told me in my dreams he is my empathy. The skill to understand and react to emotions. He told me I lost them in an accident when I was two."
Sheldon began to tell Paige the whole story. About Conner. About the incident that happened in this park. How his Mom saved his life. And what happened next.
"Mom," said Missy with tears in her eyes. "Is this true?"
Mary nodded. She also began to let out tears.
Georgie frowned. "Damm that bastard."
"After that. I remembered I wanted to forget that memory. So my brain must have blocked it out. And since Connor was someone we trusted. My brain did the unthinkable."
Paige continued. "It closed your perception of emotions. And the way how to react to them."
Sheldon nodded sadly.
"But how did you meet your empathy? Why now?"
"Probably because of my regret."
The Cooper family were confused. "Regret," they all thought.
"What do you mean," said Paige curiously.
"I regretted not being able to tell Dad how much I looked up to him. I didn't even know for sure if he loved me."
"Oh, Shelly. Of course, he loved you," thought Mary sadly.
"I should have spent more time with Dad. Learn more about him. But," said Sheldon angrily. "I was such a selfish brat. I cared only for my own needs. And never thought how Georgie and Missy might have felt. I doubt my sister and brother feel any love towards me. They probably hate me."
"That, idiot," thought Georgie with tears in his eyes. "He really thinks that."
Missy couldn't help but cry either. "Moron," she thought.
"I caused my family all sorts of troubles because of my stupid selfish antics. And I can never make it up to them."
Sheldon stood up. He grabbed a rock and skipped it through the water's surface.
"But," said Sheldon with a determined look. "Now that I regained my empathy thanks to my regret. It's time I make amends."
Paige looked curiously. "What are planning to do?"
Sheldon gave her a smirk. "Simple. I give up on going to college."
Both Paige's and Sheldon's family eyes widened in shock.
"Wait? Seriously? You won't go to Caltech? But wasn't that your dream?"
Sheldon frowned. "I'm still only fourteen. I will eventually. But Caltech can wait. I will instead stay with my family for four more years. Mom especially needs me. I want to make her and my family happy. Because they are more important to me than anything else."
"Damm that kid," said Connie while wiping away her tears. But she had a smile on her face.
"Oh Shelly," thought Mary with a loving smile.
"That rascal," said Georgie while wiping away his tears. "Making me cry like that."
Mandy herself couldn't help but let out a few tears. "Georgie. Do you have a tissue? I could use some."
"Me too," said Missy.
"And also," said Sheldon with a small blush. "If I leave Texas. I won't be able to see you anymore."
Paige's eyes widened. As did the Cooper family.
"Wait, what," said Paige with a blush.
Sheldon smiled at Paige. "What? Do I have to spell it out for you? And here I thought you were smarter than me," said Sheldon with a sly grin.
Paige frowned and stood up. She walked towards Sheldon. "I am smarter than you Sheldon. I have an IQ of 189. Yours is only 187."
Sheldon chuckled. "Oh right. How could I forget? Are you going to punish me?"
Paige smirked and grabbed the teen by his shirt. "Shut up and kiss me."
Sheldon smirked also. "Sure."
The Cooper family's eyes widened when the two teenagers began to kiss each other.
"Oh my," said, Mary surprised.
Georgie nodded with an approved look. "Way to go Shelly."
Missy smiled at the scene. Her best friend and her brother together. She honestly didn't mind that. Her and everyone else's eyes widened even more when the kiss began to get even more heated. Sheldon pushed Paige slowly against a tree. And began to be more bold. Paige began to moan when Sheldon started to nibble and lick her ear.
"Ooh. Sheldon. That feels good. But we shouldn't be doing this in a public place. Let's go back to my room. My parents aren't home right now."
Sheldon chuckled. "Sure. But we might get in trouble for this If your parents and my mom find out."
Paige smirked. "Maybe. But I won't tell if you don't."
Sheldon grinned. "Deal."
Mary wanted to stop them. But both her mom and Georgie held her back.
"Let me go. I need to stop this. He is only fourteen."
"Oh please. They are not going to have sex. Sheldon isn't as stupid as Georgie," said Connie.
"Hey," said the teen, feeling offended.
"But remember. Sheldon has regained his empathy. He might not care what his brain says anymore," said Mandy with a sweatdrop.
"Oh, shit. You're right," said Connie. "Well. There's nothing we can do. If we try to stop them. They will find out that we spied on them," said Connie with a sigh.
Missy shrugged. "Worst case scenario. Sheldon gets Paige pregnant."
"And what is the good part," asked Mary.
"You get another grandchild," said Missy with a grin.
"Oh, no. It will be Georgie all over again."
"Hey. I thought you loved Ceecee."
"Of course I do Georgie. But I can't go through that all again. Not to mention what Paige's parents may say when they return from their trip to Paris. We were lucky with Mandy's parents."
Georgie sighed. "Yeah. Although her Mom still thinks I ruined her life."
Mandy snorted. "Yeah. That's my Mom for ya."
"Mom, what do you think we should do?"
"Well. Let's just go back home. I'm sure it will turn out alright," said Connie.
Lemon warning. Skip if you are sensitive or you don't wanna read this.
Meanwhile, at Paige's house.
"Oh yes. Sheldon. You're such a beast."
Sheldon began to squeeze Paige's breast and suck her nipples. "Wow. So that's what breasts taste like. Delicious."
"Sheldon. I can't wait anymore. I want to feel you inside me."
Sheldon gulped nervously. "Really? Aren't we a bit young? And I don't want the same that happened to Mandy to happen to you."
Paige smiled at that. "Don't worry Shelly. It's a safe day for me. And I took the pill."
Sheldon nodded. "Okay. If you are sure."
That afternoon. Sheldon experienced something the old Sheldon would frown upon. He experienced sex for the first time. And he loved it.
"Oh god, Sheldon. You are so good at this. Fuck me. Fuck me hard."
"Oh, Paige. You are so hot. I really love this."
Not soon after. The both of them came at the same time.
"Oh, shit. You're filling me up. It's so warm," said Paige in satisfaction.
Lemon end.
Sheldon began to breathe harshly. "Damm. That was more intense than I thought it would be."
Paige smiled sadly. "Yeah. It sure was. Although. Sheldon. I haven't been exactly honest with you."
"Wait what? Don't tell me it wasn't your safe day."
"No, that's not it. Don't worry. I won't get pregnant."
Sheldon sighed in relief. "Then what's wrong?"
"Well. I know you said you wanted to stay here in Texas with your family. But," said Paige sadly. "My parents are going to move next week to Europe."
Sheldon's eyes widened. "Too where in Europe? Germany?"
Paige shook her head. "No, France. They say it's a better learning environment. I'm sorry."
Sheldon frowned sadly. "I understand. It's not like we will ever see each other again, right?"
Paige chuckled. "Of course not. It might not be for a while. But I promise we will see each other again. And if we do. And we aren't in a relationship by then. Let's have some fun again."
"And what if we are in a relationship? Will we still be friends?"
Paige chuckled. "You are so adorable. Of course, we still be friends. But for now. Let's enjoy the time we still have together, ok? Ready for another round," said Paige with a grin.
Sheldon chuckled. "Do you need to ask?"
Sheldon placed the covers above them. And they continued their fun time together.
The next day. Sheldon quietly made his way through the house. He hoped that everyone was still sleeping. Not that he cared about getting caught. He just didn't want to wake up anyone. He opened the fridge to get something to drink. Oh. Orange juice. That was always nice. He was sure someone might have already drunk from it. But he didn't care about germs anymore. He did have sex after all. He opened the bottle and began to drink from it. But when he closed the fridge he saw his whole family in the living room looking at him.
"Uh, hey guys. I hope I didn't wake you all up," said the teen nervously.
Missy smirked. "Oh, no. We were already awake. But I bet you on the other hand didn't get any sleep."
"Whaaat," said Sheldon trying to play it cool. "No, I did sleep. Plenty in fact. Why would you say that?"
Georgie sighed. "Don't bother Shelly. I'm a master of telling lies. And I can see straight to yours. We already know you slept with Paige."
Sheldon's eyes widened. "Wait what? And how exactly do you guys know that? Were you spying on me?"
The family rubbed their necks nervously.
"Well, we weren't exactly spying on you. We just were curious why you changed your attitude and clothes. You can't blame us for that," said Connie.
Sheldon wasn't angry. But he was worried. Did they hear the whole conversation?
"Shelly, at least tell me this," said Mary. "Please tell me you have been careful. I can't have a second grandchild so soon."
Sheldon chuckled. "Don't worry, Mom. It was Paige's safe day."
Everyone sighed in relief. Except Missy.
"Dammit. I was hoping for another baby."
"Anyway. If that is all. I'll be in my room. I had a very productive afternoon and night."
"Not so fast Mister. This conversation isn't over," said Connie. "Sit down."
Sheldon was still Sheldon. He listened.
"Right. I thought that might be the case," said Sheldon with a sigh. "Let me guess. You guys found out about me regaining my empathy, didn't you?"
They all nodded.
"Okay. Lay it on me. What is it that you want to tell?"
"First things first," said Georgie. "How dare you say that me and Missy don't love you. Yeah, you were sometimes a pain in the butt. And your stupid shenanigans got most of us a headache. But you are still my baby brother Sheldon. And I could never hate you."
"Yeah, what he said. Next time I hear you say that I'm going to bunk your head in the toilet."
"Missy, that doesn't help at all," said Georgie with a sigh.
Sheldon began to cry. "Really? Even after all the selfish things I did. You guys don't hate me."
"Don't start crying now, Shelly. You're going to make me cry too," said Georgie.
The brothers gave each other a warm hug.
"Hey, don't forget about me."
Missy joined the hug. After they both calmed down. Connie continued.
"The second thing. Your father loved you, you big idiot. Get that through your thick skull."
Sheldon frowned. "Did he really? I'm not so sure. He got angry at me a lot."
Connie sighed. "So what? He got angry at Missy and Georgie too. Maybe even more than he did at you."
Georgie and Missy nodded.
"Yeah. He sure did. Remember that time I stole the truck with Paige?"
"Or the time I dropped out of High School," said Georgie. "He was furious."
"For good reason," said Connie with a look. "Anyway. Fathers yell at their kids when they do something stupid. That is called parenting, Shelly. But that doesn't mean he didn't love you, ok?"
Sheldon nodded with a smile as he wiped away his tears.
"Third number of business," said Mary. She stood up and hugged Sheldon. "I'm sorry we didn't tell you about that awful day. All because of that you lost your empathy. And we didn't even know it."
"It's not your fault Mom. And it certainly wasn't Dad's either. It was that bastard Conner who did this. And if you didn't shield me and Dad. I probably would have died. I couldn't have wished for a better mother than you. I love you, Mom."
"Oh, my sweet baby. I love you too. And tonight. We are having spaghetti with hotdogs for dinner to celebrate you staying with us."
"Are you really sure Sheldon? Not that I mind of course. But have you thought this through," said Connie.
Sheldon nodded. "Yeah, I did. Caltech isn't going anywhere. I rather stay here with you guys as long as I can."
"And Paige, right," said Missy with a grin.
Sheldon frowned sadly. "Well, about that. We broke up."
The family was shocked. "Did you two had a fight," asked Mandy.
"No. Nothing like that. She and her parents are moving to Europe in a week."
"Where too," said Missy sadly.
"Paris," said Sheldon. "We decided to break off our relationship for now. Maybe in the future if things work out."
Missy frowned sadly. "Great. My best friend moving away. This sucks."
"Missy. Language please. And besides. You can still call her once a week."
"Why only once per week?"
Sheldon chuckled. "Calling someone who lives in Europe is pretty expensive. Unless computers evolve In the future and they invent a program that can call through the internet at least."
"Is that possible," said Missy curiously.
Sheldon shrugged. "I don't know. Maybe."
"That would be neat," said Georgie.
"Anyway, kids. I have to do some shopping for dinner tonight," said Mary
"Uhm. Actually, Mom. Do you mind if we eat Meemaw's Brisket instead? It is a Texas delicacy after all. And I really want to learn how to make it myself."
"Mmm, Brisket," said Georgie with a hungry look. "That sounds nice."
Mandy chuckled. "Actually I would love to try it. I heard the stories about your brisket being the best in Texas."
Connie smirked. "You bet your ass it is. Everyone on board with Brisket for dinner?"
Missy nodded with a smile. "Count me in."
Mary chuckled. "Very well. Tonight. We will honor the true Texan spirit. BRISKET FOR ALL!"
"YEAH," the others yelled.
End chapter 2.
