Inkaliber: Hey guys! Hope you had a happy Halloween! We're back with more MGG and things are happening!
Ellie: Are you REALLY going with that as your big phrase?
Jon: I mean it's not bad or anything.
Alix: Heh! So you say.
Inkaliber: Jon, Ellie, go smooch somewhere else. Alix, you get to sit and do nothing as the chapter goes on.
Alix: AW MAN! You're the worst, Pops!
Inkaliber: I'm 25! I'm not that old!... Ehem! Anyway, where was I?
Alix: Maybe start with that little slip up in the last one.
Inkaliber: What are you… OH RIGHT! Minor thing. It was known that the DuPont class would be finishing their trip in Amity Park, meaning Juleka's uncertainty about whether she would see Danny again or not was unwarranted. I went back and fixed it, really only changing a few words. In any case, let's start with some reviews.
LunarCouncillor- I guess you'll see whether it's foreboding or not. As for the road trip, it will make some stops along the way. Might I ask what you have in mind?
Changekristian- LOL! It does look like that, doesn't it? Like a lot of things, you'll have to wait and see.
OceanaMM- It was more the black and white butterfly merging into a hairpin. Still, it's going to be rather interesting. Thanks!
Wanderingsage7- I'm glad you enjoyed it. Sam is trying to be more supportive and Dick doesn't feel a need to go too deep in threats. I would say that Kim's girl is more of the swimming, sporty type than any gaming. The hairpin is not related to any other object but will be rather interesting. I guess you'll have to see what Miraculous show up.
deathfang1920- Thanks!
Lilyofthestars- Why thank you. Designing his username took me longer than I'd like to admit, lol!
BlueBlaze_Kitsune- LOL! Guess you'll see what the deal with it is.
XxXNightcoreQueenXxX- Whatever it is, it's made for Danny's eyes only. LOL!
darknessslayer- Well the butterfly will be interesting regardless. Sam's had a lot of growth throughout the story. I would assume Alya would be seen, yes.
Fregreg- I'm glad you think so. I'm not exactly sure what that would look like.
Speedykitten1643- Everyone is so concerned about a little butterfly, LOL! I'm glad you enjoyed the chapter.
Alix: Dude, they're not just little butterflies.
Inkaliber: I know that, Alix. Let me finish the reviews!
Alix: Okay! Yeesh.
glennish1966- Hey, no one's stopping you from reading the old chapters. At least if you do you get to see Lila's downfall once again.
Fuyu_FoxWriter- We shall see how it goes 😂. Hope this chapter and the upcoming ones live up to the hype.
NikoElloynKurai- LOL! Hawkmoth quakes in his boots right now. Reactions will be fun all around.
Rocky- All good.
Gwen- Alya's placement will indeed be interesting.
Nyxofbloom- We'll see, though Plagg did go crazy over the breathing technique. That does sound like a fun interaction.
Chase- Indeed. His fate will likely be known at some point, same with Star DP.
Michael- Welcome to the story dude. All I can say is you'll figure a lot out by the time you catch up with the story.
Inkaliber: With all that out of the way, let's begin. I don't own Miraculous, Danny Phantom, Marvel, DC, or any other series that show up here. I do own any original characters, concepts, creatures, and places that work their way into the story unless stated otherwise.

Jon could be seen walking across the beach, smiling softly in his red and blue swim trunks that had a yellow band at the waist. If there was one thing he loved about the summer, it was the freedom it gave him to go places. Sometimes he would just travel, whether it was to the family farm or to Gotham to see Damian. This year, however, there was something rather special to him that made things much sweeter. Scamp suddenly landed on his head, making him laugh as the ghost otter rolled onto his shoulder.
"Scamp!" laughed the half-Kryptonian. "You're such a mess. If you're here I guess that means Ellie's done. Let's see if we can find… Humina-humina-humina." The boy shivered as he stood up straight, blushing at the sight before him.
Ellie had her hair up in a bun, a white hairband keeping it in place as her face was on full display. She was wearing the white top from the swimsuit Lois had her try on the first day he had introduced her to his family, the boy trying to be respectful as his eyes wandered. A big difference from the original was that the bikini bottom she was wearing, while still black in color, now stopped before her inner thigh as her legs were free from any fabric. The look was completed by a gray bracelet on her wrist, a pair of glittery black sandals in her hand. She smiled at the look on Jon's face, catching Scamp as the otter jumped towards her.
"I take it you still like this one, Awkward Duckling~," teased the ghost girl. "I'm sure we'll have plenty of fun with this one." The son of Superman tried to find the words to say, earning a giggle at his nervousness. He then froze as Ellie hugged him close, her chest pressing against his as she grinned up at him. "But first, I think your lips look a bit dry."
She floated up a bit as Jon leaned in, only for both of them to jerk and separate as their communicators went off in their bags. "ARE YOU KIDDING ME!? I JUST GOT CHANGED! THIS BETTER BE IMPORTANT!" She flew over to her bag, pulling out her communicator as it opened to Damian with his mask on as he sent her his serious look.
"Team meeting, now," stated the ward of Batman. "I'll explain everything when you arrive." Ellie groaned as she grabbed at her head, her face showing her disappointment.
"But I wanted to have a beach date. I didn't even get a kiss or get in the water." Jon rubbed her free shoulder, kissing her cheek as she looked back at him.
"Duty calls," joked the son of Superman. "Try to keep up!" The ghost girl gasped as she felt a spank on her rear, grabbing the area as her boyfriend shot off.
"JONATHAN KENT! GET BACK HERE!" Standing on top of the second tallest building in the city, Robin waited for the rest of his team. Some part of him felt bad about interrupting Jon and Ellie's beach date but this situation is important to him. He looked up as he heard flying, Haley landing to his right as she turned back to normal.
"Glad I was trying this on when you called," sighed the dragon girl. She was wearing a dark pink top with some armor plating on it, black tights that were also slightly armored with purple pads on the thighs, dark pink boots that had purple stripes on them, a gray utility belt, and a black domino mask that matched her dragon motif. "I still can't believe you convinced your butler to have this made without telling anyone. I hope it fits just right." Damian, having the composure of a shinobi, nodded his head.
"It looks like it fits as expected and your identity is properly concealed. Still, if it's uncomfortable I can have a different provider design a new one." Haley then smirked at him, leaning forward with her hands behind her back.
"Nah. Just realizing what areas you find more attractive with the level of detailing." The boy looked away with a pout, causing his girlfriend to giggle at him as she stood up straight. "So, what's going on?" Before Damian could answer, Jon and Ellie landed on the building in uniform.
"That's what I wanna know," growled Ellie. "Also, HOW COME WE DON'T GET NEW SUPER SUITS!?" Ignoring her question, Damian turned to where the whole group could see him.
"This is a serious matter, one that we can't ignore," stated the Gothamite. "In exactly half an hour, a plane is arriving with a group of important individuals. Two of the world's richest men, a world renowned rockstar, an intern, and a class of French students. While the students might not be much of a concern, having three famous people in the same space may be too tempting for certain criminals to not attempt a kidnapping." Jon hummed, tilting his head.
"Hey, didn't your Dad go to Paris?" questioned the halfbreed. "Wait… are we running escort and protection for Bruce Wayne?" Ellie huffed, crossing her arms.
"Really?" growled the ghost girl. "You interrupted our beach date so you can show us off to your pops; THE Batman?" Scamp mimicked her crossed arms, causing Damian to sigh.
"Look, Grayson's lost sister is amongst the group. This is a family matter and I can't shake this feeling that something is going to happen soon. It might not be this way for the rest of the world but in Gotham miracles seldom come with good tidings. I know it may be me becoming like my father, or even my mother or grandfather, but there's something brewing that I can't take any chances with." The others looked amongst each other, Haley sharing Damian's serious look as she rubs his shoulder.
"We're in," offered the dragon girl. "What's the plan?" The team's leader hid a smirk, nodding his head in thanks.
Later
The airport was rather busy, given the number of new arrivals. The private jet taken by Bruce and his group had recently landed, meaning there were a lot of teenagers and young adults to unload and get situated. Kim could be seen immediately taking a picture wearing a collectable shirt with Superman's symbol on the Daily Planet globe, grinning as he promised Ondyne he'd take lots of pictures for her. Juleka joined the other girls in retrieving her luggage, her tiger pin back on her shirt as soon as she was on the other side of the metal detectors. She turned around and looked back, smiling as her brother was next after her.
It turned out that Jagged invited Luka along after hearing him play his guitar in the park once, which led to a bit of an awkward situation when he realized the two of them were HIS kids. The argument between the rock star and their mother was rather heated before she got up the courage to call out for them, saying they could cause an Akuma if they kept it up. It was then discovered that Jagged's old manager caused the split, though the two of them felt that the old spark was pretty much gone at this point. Regardless, Anarka couldn't deny Luka the option to go as he was an adult and contributing to the boat's payment as of late. As such, he was one of the plus ones on their trip.
The other walked silently beside Adrien, Kagami pulling her surprisingly small luggage behind her. The fencing girl had been planning on staying in Paris to watch over things before Adrien told her he got her a spot on the trip. She had to make sure with their private group that Max was indeed bringing Khaalki with him before she accepted, having to explain the trip to her mother. The normally hardened woman decided to agree, saying it would be good business for her to see the rest of the world and learn from two of the world's most influential people. The group began to converge when Mr. Stark cleared his throat, Peter letting go of Marinette's hand from where he was holding it as he joined up with his mentor.
"Alright everyone, listen up," began Tony. "Usually we'd have a lovely assistant giving tour guide directions and taking questions. Unfortunately, or fortunately in my case, she's on maternity leave. Bruce, you have someone coming right?" Mr. Wayne looked towards Tony, nodding his head with a smile.
"Something like that," stated the man. "He should be here soon." Jagged stretched his limbs, quickly popping his back as well.
"[French] Even in the comfiest chairs, sittin' too long always hurts ma back," groaned the rock star. "You and Fang good, Penny?" His agent yawned, the woman rubbing her right eye as her other hand was pulling a cage with the large alligator behind her.
"We're alright, Jagged," reassured the woman in English. "Don't forget to speak English since we're in America." The man nodded as a beeping was heard outside, Bruce nodding his head.
"That must be him," stated the rich Gothamite. "Everyone grab your things and let's go." The group quickly gathered their luggage, making sure not to leave anything behind. As soon as they made their way outside, the youngsters in the group aside from Peter and Chloe looked rather shocked. Standing in front of a large luxury sleeper coach, wearing a Hawaiian shirt and a pair of khaki shorts, Dick smirked at the group.
"Welcome to America," greeted the titan. "My name's Dick Grayson and I'll be your tour guide on this little adventure." Marinette giggled at her brother's attire, causing Peter to lean towards Max.
"Hey," began the spider hero. "Does Marinette know that guy?" The fellow techie nodded his head, smiling softly.
"That's her brother from the server," explained Max. "He's one of the moderators." The spider hero nodded his head, humming in understanding as Dick clapped his hands.
"Right," continued the trapeze artist. "Let's go ahead and get everyone on the tour bus. Once everyone's situated and we're on the road, we'll explain further how you can expect things to go." The group quickly began to pile in, everyone taking seats that matched their usual tastes. Couples sat together, Bruce and Tony sat in two of the individual seats, and Jagged sat with Penny in the area closest to Fang's little private nook.
The driver soon closed the door, Dick standing up from his seat as the old man sat in the driver's seat. "That looks like everyone. Thanks for choosing the Gotham Express. Like I said, I'm Dick Grayson. I'll be explaining things to the best of my ability and take questions where I can."
He then gestured to the back, Jagged holding up his hand as he made a rock and roll gesture with it. "Of course, Mister Stone will be explaining anything to do with music culture. Bruce and Mr. Stark will chime in whenever they're available or have something to add. We'll be making some general stops across the country but, like I'm sure you've been told, the tour ends in Amity Park. After some time there, we'll hop on a private jet and ride back to Paris."
Juleka felt Rose playfully rib her, blushing as she quickly shushed the sunshine child of the class. "We hopefully won't have to stop and restock too much, aside from planned tours, though that really depends on how much you guys eat. Just relax, enjoy the ride, and have fun. Hit it, Stan!" The old bus driver laughed a bit, nodding his head.
"You got it, Kid," replied the man. "Excelsior!" With a flip of the radio switch, rock and roll music filled the air as the tour bus moved faster across the highway. Atop the buildings, Haley quickly spotted the moving vehicle. She held up her communicator, nodding her head.
"I've found the bus," stated the dragon girl. "Heading west past the Daily Bugle." She jumped off the building as soon as she put the device away, taking a deep breath. "DRAGON UP!" She transformed into her dragon self, flying as fast as she could to keep an eye on the vehicle.
Damian joined her rather quickly, flying with his jetpack as he heard her sigh. "Man. I really need my own war cry. It's so weird." The son of Batman shook his head, deciding to focus on the mission as ideas popped up in the back of his mind.
Back at the Kent House, Jon was seen packing some food in a backpack. While he knew Damian would be good for cash if they needed good food, he also knew Damian had a thing for long stakeouts where they couldn't even get takeout. He looked towards his mother, seeing a small frown on her face.
"You kids are starting to get your fathers' bad habits of going away unexpectedly," sighed Lois. "At least it's during the Summer so you don't have school. How long are you going to be gone? I had vacation plans and fun summer activities in mind. We could have even brought Ellie with us." Jon shook his head, sighing.
"Hopefully we won't be gone too long," promised the boy. "Damian's worried about his folks, something that doesn't usually go well if it's ignored. I promise I'll be back as soon as I can. Maybe I'll be wearing matching promise rings with Ellie if I'm lucky." His mother laughed at him, rubbing his head playfully.
"Hurry up, Jon!" cried Ellie from the back door. "They're gonna leave us behind!" Scamp whined in agreement, tapping his paws against the floor as he was ready to go. Jon let his mother kiss his forehead before he kissed her cheek, the boy running to join the duo. They took off, rushing to catch up to the other lovebirds on their team.
They watched the group from safe distances, the touring group starting their adventure at a Jazz club themed restaurant where lunch is served. Ellie couldn't help herself as the music played, Jon snickering at her as she mimicked the trumpet being played to a surprising level of accuracy. The next spot the Parisians and company visited was the Metropolis Museum of Modern Arts, specifically making their way towards two pillars connected by cloth depicting Beethoven's most beloved classics. Jagged pointed up at it as he held his guitar in hand, laughs had all around as his fellow Parisians took pictures of this. Marinette and Peter were standing to the side, the Ladybug heroine looking to her spider companion.
"Hang on," requested the designer. "You mean you wear a suit made by Mr. Stark for most of your fights? I know you said Ittsy is for emergencies but I thought you'd use him more often. Why?" Peter shushed her, smiling goofily.
"Keep it down," requested the boy. "I can't always use Ittsy because a lot of my villains are common thugs, even the ones with high tech. So far everyone believes Spidey is a magic user as I make Ittsy into a bit of a 'power up' that I use when I really need it. With my powers, I can't become too reliant on him to where I lose things like my Spider Sense." Marinette hummed in understanding, slowly nodding her head.
At the same time, Juleka sent Danny a private message to tell him they had just landed in Metropolis. She giggled as he sent her emojis depicting a pair of binoculars, a ghost, and a heart. When asked if she needs him to come over and watch the group, she playfully messaged back that he just wanted to see her and says they have Ironman with them. She tried not to laugh when he sent her a broken heart and asked if she's cheating on him with an older guy, followed by a laughing emoji to show he was kidding. Ellie peeked out from behind a podium, looking over the young model girl.
"Wow," sighed the ghost girl. "She's so beautiful. I'm talking 'Paulina who' levels of hot. Danny would be drooling over her and trying to get her number." She hid as soon as the tigress heroine looked back, Juleka having a suspicious frown on her face.
"Everything alright, Jules?" questioned Alix. "Look like you saw a ghost." The tall girl frowned at the skater as she laughed, shaking her head.
"Could you not do that?" questioned Juleka. "I just feel like we're being watched." The pinkette shrugged at this, the duo quickly realizing the group was moving on without them as they hurried. The Paranormal Paladins followed the tourists on a short walk around the city, keeping to the rooftops and shadows as they tried to go unseen. Eventually, Tony looked at his watch while the youngsters were getting back in the coach.
"Well, looks like one of those meetings I mentioned is happening," informed Stark. "Keep an eye on things Bruce, Underoos." Peter groaned as he got a few laughs, rubbing his face as the Ironman suit formed over Tony.
"Mr. Stark," moaned the spider hero in annoyance. "Please don't call me that in front of my girlfriend." Marinette giggled as she pulled him into the coach, Ironman taking off into the sky. The Paranormal Paladins watched the Avenger fly off for a moment, ensuring he was actually leaving before they resumed their vigilant watch over the vehicle. They moved as soon as it did, following it all the way to the first town it reached with a hotel.
The tourists were separated into boys and girls in rooms, a policy of "better safe than sorry" on Bruce's part. Damian watched over the different rooms from where he was, the flying members of his group watching from other sides of the building under the cover of darkness. He was watching Marinette pillow fight with Chloe before his attention turned to Dick. He very easily knew that the original Robin was looking right at him, a reassuring sign that they had discovered him and his group at some point. He lowered the binoculars, standing up as Batman was standing not far behind him.
"Hello, Father," greeted the boy. "I hope our vigilant watch is not unwelcome." Bruce's usual frown under the cowl left his intentions and opinions unreadable, the man not taking his eyes off his son.
"You feel it too, don't you?" questioned the lead Gothamite. He joined Damian in looking at the building, appearing as two gargoyles in the night. "The return of Maria Grayson, Jason's third chance at life, and even the apparent reform of criminals like Harley and Poison Ivy. Something's been set in motion, something big. Plasmius and Phantom seem to be at the center of it all, almost like an unspoken prophecy." Robin looked towards his father, his eyes narrowing.
"It's usually an ill omen when you speak of prophecies. It makes you sound like Grandfather." The boy waited for his superior to speak again, the bat hero looking towards where Ellie was floating with Scamp.
"The girl, Geist, she's related to Phantom in some way. Superman came to me wanting to help her legally exist." Damian shook his head, his frown softening.
"She doesn't have the power to split like Phantom or Plasmius. She also has no desire to overshadow people and has not shown any power to manipulate the mind. She's like Grayson was when you found him: a child of tragedy who needed someone to take her in. In all honesty, with her instability both in mind and in body, she couldn't have found a better family to take her in. I just hope Raven or someone trustworthy can find a solution to her current issue before she becomes a puddle of ectoplasm."
The boy heard the stretching of glove material, knowing that his father was reacting subtly in shock. "I assume Superman told you of her case." Batman nodded his head, unable to deny it.
"Plasmius would fit in at Arkham if they implemented a cell to hold him. His obsession is unhealthy as it is but to clone a child to try and steal a man's wife is absurd. The fact that her body is breaking down at a constant rate proves he never prepared properly." Damian nodded his head in agreement, taking in the silence as he waited for the next topic. "So… a dragon?"
The boy shivered as his spine tingled, his eyes widening as he knew exactly what his father meant. "I don't see a rider or a fifth member." Robin looked towards his father, seeing one of his rare smirks on his face.
"I-I cannot give away her secrets. There is a bridge of trust and-" He then frowned, noting how the smirk didn't go away. "It was Batgirl, wasn't it?" Bruce looked towards his son, still smirking all the while.
"I won't make you say any more than you can. It's not often someone earns your trust, and the pictures from her and Beastboy were quite telling." Damian gritted his teeth, having two targets in mind for payback. As this exchange was happening, Ellie floated close to where Juleka was staying with Rose. She stopped outside the window, turning invisible so she couldn't be seen.
"This is so much fun!" cheered Rose. "This is just Metropolis! Wait until we see the other places! I wanna write a song about touring in America now!" Juleka giggled at this, brushing the blonde's short hair.
"Calm down, Rose," soothed the young model. "You'll have a lot more to write if you just take notes and wait until we're back in Paris." Scamp rested on Ellie's shoulder, also intangible as he rubbed against her cheek. The girl tried not to giggle as the whining was barely audible, Juleka looking that way with a frown. Rose then looked back at her, grinning cheekily.
"Oh, I'm sure you'd be able to write your own song when we get to Amity Park. All those pretty things you brought, the perfumes, the undies~. I might not know a lot of naughty things but I can tell what it means. Excited to see Danny again?" Ellie's eyes widened at this, watching as Juleka looked forward with a large blush and a small smirk.
"Why wouldn't I be? I get to spend who knows how many days with Mon Fantome." The ghost girl shifted back, her eyes as wide as saucers.
"SHE'S DANNY'S GIRLFRIEND!?" cried Ellie. She covered her mouth, Damian facepalming as his father frowned. Juleka and Rose jerked towards the wall with the door, the blonde girl looking around fearfully.
"W-What was that!?" cried the sunshine child. "Is someone in here?" Juleka saw the shape of something move outside the window, looking towards her longtime friend with a shake of her head.
"Go find Marinette and Chloe," ordered the model girl. "I'm going to find one of the tour guides." Rose quickly ran as told, Juleka making her way towards the roof rather than where she said she was going. "Roaar, Stripes On!" Ellie floated to the rooftop, still invisible as she hugged Scamp close.
"I blew it!" cried the ghost girl. "I blew it, I blew it, I blew it! Now Damian's gonna bench me but how could I not freak out? Danny's girlfriend, my dad's girlfriend, was in there and nobody told me he even had a girlfriend! Whatever happened to Sam?"
She shivered as the access door behind her suddenly popped open, Purple Tigress holding her whip defensively as she looked around. Ellie frowned at the sudden arrival, growling a bit. "Who's she? Is she a villain spooked out of hiding?" The cat ears on Juleka's head twitched as she looked towards the invisible girl, readying her whip.
"I know you're there! Show yourself!" Not liking the tone in her voice, Scamp snarled as he leapt into view from Ellie's shoulder. Juleka couldn't help but coo, her serious expression turning into one of adoration. "Aren't you the cutest little guy!?"
Her eyes widened as she quickly took in the ghost otter's features, standing up straight. "Wait, aren't you that otter from that team of super-" Scamp quickly proved her right as he grew in size, taking on the form he used to face the ghost bear. "...Kids. Merde."
Juleka quickly used her bola whip to sling away from the now large creature's slammed paw, the spirit guardian roaring at her. The tigress hero landed on her feet, looking serious yet unsure. "Definitely NOT how I wanted first impressions to go." She leapt over the spiritual orbs launched at her, Scamp acting on defensive instincts as he tried to get rid of the girl. Ellie watched the fight, unsure what to do as she didn't know who the girl was.
Purple Tigress dodged yet another attack, only to gasp as she was suddenly pinned to the ground by Scamp's enlarged paw. Ellie finally became visible, glaring down at the tigress hero. She crossed her arms, frowning as Scamp was waiting for her to give him an order.
"Looks like Robin was right to be worried. So, what's your story? Decide to put on a fancy cat suit like the other criminal cat people? Bitten by a magical cat that turned you into the Bombastic Tiger?" Juleka winced under the weight of the large paw, looking towards the ghost girl.
"Wait! I'm not a criminal!" Ellie rolled her eyes, floating closer to the girl.
"Yeah, sure. Preparing to use a whip on a stranger is so- Haven't I seen you before?" She floated close to the older girl, narrowing her eyes a bit. "Hey, you're that girl who called Danny 'her phantom' just now."
She put her hands on her hips, her glare growing a bit. "Are you really his girlfriend, and why do you call him that?" The tigress hero winced, thankful her magic was keeping her from feeling a lot of hurt.
"I am, and I call him that because he told me who he is. He also told me about you, Ellie." The ghost girl's eyes slowly widened as Robin and Batman landed on the roof, Damian glaring at her as Ladybug and Honeybee ran through the roof access door.
"Geist, stand down," ordered Robin. "She's not an enemy." Ellie quickly patted Scamp's side, causing him to shrink back to normal as he flew into the crook of her neck. Juleka sat up while taking a few deep breaths, Marinette and Chloe quickly by her side to check on her. Bruce took his hand away from a particular compartment of his utility belt, the ghost girl slowly looking depressed as she walked to the side and sat down.
"Are you okay, Tigress?" questioned Ladybug. "You don't look injured." Honeybee looked towards Ellie, a scowl on her face.
"What's your damage?" growled the rich girl. Before she could walk towards the younger girl, a hand from Juleka stopped her. Jon was suddenly by Ellie's side, glaring at the blonde.
"Scamp was protecting her," argued the Kryptonian hybrid. "He'd only seriously hurt someone if he felt they were a real threat or he's given the order. We worked with him a lot and he's very intelligent as a spirit guardian." Ellie had a hand on Scamp, reassuring the guardian that things were alright even as he growled. Purple Tigress pushed herself up, showing that she wasn't seriously harmed as she walked towards the ghost girl.
"You saw through the Kwami magic just like Phantom did," stated the tall girl as she crouched down. "Honestly, ever since he told me about you, I've been looking forward to meeting you." The clone girl curled up a bit, looking down at her knees.
"Guess I blew it big time then," sighed Ellie. "Letting your pet attack your dad's girlfriend is a GREAT first impression." Marinette and Chloe blinked a few times at this, both of them suddenly jolting back in shock.
"YOU'RE DANNY'S WHAT!?" cried the bug themed girls. This caused her to hide her face deeper in her knees, making her groan in despair. Juleka made her gasp as she pulled her up, smiling at her.
"Why don't we talk about it back inside? Chocolate always makes things a little bit better." She calmly guided the girl, Bruce and Damian refraining from stopping them. Jon looked to his friend for silent permission, following the duo as soon as he received the head nod he was waiting for. Chloe grabbed the sides of her head, her eyes still being wide.
"Um, hello!?" cried the bee themed heroine. "Are we going to talk about the fact that Phantom had a kid and only Tigress knew!?" She shivered under Batman's frown, feeling like the man was peering into her soul.
"A conversation to have with your teammate later," denied the Bat. "Robin, back on surveillance. I'll be discussing this incident with you later. Ladybug, talk now." Robin immediately returned to where he was posted prior, Marinette patting Chloe's arm.
"Just go back to the room, Bee," ordered the ladybug hero. "Tell Rose that everything is fine and give her some girl time." Chloe looked between the two lead heroes a few times, nodding her head as she walked back into the building and closed the door behind her. "Batman, or would you prefer Mr. Wayne?" Seeing what she was getting at, Bruce crossed her arms.
"Maria, or should I say Marinette?" fired back the Gothamite. Her smirk reminded him of Dick, the energy she gave off being contagious as he almost smiled himself. "Come with me. This isn't the place to talk about it."
Inside the building, Juleka set out a bowl of chocolates on the table. She sat in the lounge chair while Ellie and Jon sat on the loveseat, Scamp munching on a fish-snack in between them. Jon checked the chocolates first, grinning at his girlfriend.
"They're good, Ellie-bear," informed the boy. "It's real French chocolate." The ghost girl slowly grabbed one, popping it in her mouth as she hummed in delight. She popped a few more in her mouth as she kicked her feet a bit, Juleka giggling at how adorable the girl was while Roaar ate a pastry in her lap. Ellie froze in embarrassment, chewing the chocolates in her mouth before swallowing with a blush.
"S-Sorry," apologized the ghost girl. "Until a few months ago I never got to have a lot of chocolate." Juleka shook her head, smiling softly.
"Danny did the same thing when we introduced him to the same brand of chocolate," informed the model girl. "You really are his daughter." Feeling pleased that the familial link was used rather than the clone detail, Ellie let her guard down as she dropped her ghost form to reveal the pink t-shirt and black sweat shorts she was wearing. Juleka couldn't help her coo as she scooted forward a bit, looking the girl over. "You're so cute."
Ellie shivered as the Parisian girl reached out to her, only to lean into the cheek rub she was being given. "I'm glad Danny finally got around to talking to you. When he told me he wanted to take you in as his daughter, he was so serious about it that I thought he was going to leave me. Probably would have if I wasn't okay with it." As soon as her cheek was freed, the phantom child looked towards the model girl.
"Why would he talk with you about it? Are you guys like, really together-together or something?" Feeling the need to not be too casual, Juleka carefully nodded her head.
"Let's just say we've had some adult times together." This caused both kids to go beet red, the birds and the bees talk being called to mind. "I started liking Danny before he told me about his powers. Granted he told me because there were references to him constantly putting his life in danger and I called him directly to confront him about doing such dangerous things. We only started dating when he asked me out during his family's vacation to Paris for a ghost hunters' convention."
Ellie leaned forward as she listened, secretly planning ways she could get back at Danny for neglecting to tell her he had a girlfriend. "By the time he asked, I had decided I could try to live in his life full of ghosts and crazy adventures." Roaar grinned up at her, tilting her head.
"And then you told him you'd be happy being his cub's mother and he nearly mated you," snickered the tiger Kwami. "I still say you two should have gone for it." Juleka cleared her throat roughly, glaring at the magical creature.
"I was TRYING to ease into that. She deserves to hear about the relationship before jumping into that." Roaar shrugged as she finished the last bite of her pastry, Ellie now looking a bit more awestruck.
"Really?" questioned the ghost girl. "You're actually okay with that?" Juleka looked towards her, smiling nervously as she held her hands together.
"I mean, it'd take some getting used to but I really like Danny. Being part of his world means getting used to a lot of things, and I think already having a kid is going to be the most tame thing on that list. I know we haven't had the best start but I'd like to get to know you for who you are over just going off what Danny says. You're your own person with your own experiences, though I think we all have a distaste for a certain vampire look-a-like." Jon frowned as he punched his fist into his palm, growling a bit.
"Tell me about it," huffed the boy. "Nobody messes with my Ellie on my watch." The ghost girl looked towards him, smirking mischievously.
"YOUR Ellie again, huh?" teased the halfa. "You sure like saying that. Imagine what Danny would say if he heard you." The son of Superman began to sweat in response to this, Juleka joining Ellie in laughing as he deflated with a sigh. Scamp joined in on the laughter with whines, not sure what exactly was funny.
In the midst of a park, Marinette made sure no one was around before dropping her transformation. She looked to her left, watching as Bruce removed his cowl. There was a silent pause even before any conversation could begin, the vigilante man looking the hero girl in the eye.
"You don't know how long I've been looking for you and your brother," initiated Bruce. "I had to eventually let my search net do the work when Gotham became crazier than usual but I never fully stopped looking. Any trace of Maria Grayson seemed to disappear two years into the search. Then, all of a sudden, Dick calls me to tell me he found one Marinette Dupain-Cheng was Maria all along." Marinette smiled sadly at this, nodding her head.
"It was a surprise for me too when my memories started coming back," informed the Parisian heroine. "Still, I'm grateful you kept looking. It would have felt terrible if I was left behind and thought to be gone for good. I'm also happy you took good care of Dick, even if you had a bit of a falling out for a while." Bruce frowned at this, nodding his head.
"He had good friends and I was waiting for him to be ready to talk. Like he told you, I don't plan on taking you from your adoptive family. I just wanted to be sure you know you have a place here if you ever need it. Dick would be happy to take you in at Titans Tower and you'd be more than welcome in Wayne Manor. I wouldn't even get mad if you started fighting crime in Gotham." Marinette smirked for a moment, only to take a deep breath as she frowned.
"Thanks, but I have a feeling this isn't just about making sure I know my place here. There's something you want to talk with me about." Bruce slowly nodded his head, pulling out a vial as he tossed it to the girl. "Is this… blood?" The Batman put his cowl back on, telling the brunette that he was back to business mode.
"Blood enhanced and augmented by ectoplasm, yes. I've been looking it over for several months now, trying to determine who the sample belongs to. Nothing seemed to register as a close enough match, even as I narrowed the search area to people who live in the area it was recovered from. That's when Robin brought me his research on Halfas, people like Phantom and Plasmius, and the fact that it came from Amity Park suddenly made things click." Marinette tossed him the vial back, frowning.
"So, you found out about Danny before we even said his name. Is this the part where you ask me for what I know?" Bruce took a deep breath, shaking his head.
"No. This is the part where I need your help. The sample wasn't brought in for any investigation on Phantom. This came from my search net, the one I laid out to find you and your brother. I have what I need to know for sure, but I need the proof and the motive."
Marinette's eyes widened as Bruce brought up a recent picture of Danny's Graduation, holding it side-by-side with a copied snippet of her birth family's poster. "If everything's correct, Danny Fenton is Donnel Grayson, and Madeline Fenton is the woman who kidnapped him on that day the three of you were separated." The girl felt like her world suddenly broke, her eyes slowly making the connection between the two images.
Alix:... I'm sorry WHAT!? Kidnapped!? I had a feeling he was the bro here but that kinda threw me off!
Inkaliber: That's the point, Alix. Bruce believes Danny is Donnel Grayson and it was stated that he disappeared. Still, nothing is outright confirmed until Danny's able to see his locked memories.
Alix: Um, hello!? That's the FREAKIN' BATMAN! Isn't he almost never wrong or something?
Inkaliber: Almost. Missing information or data is always possible.
Alix: Then what about in that chapter where Little D called out to Maria and said Danny isn't his name? You're pulling at my mind here, Pops!
Inkaliber: Again, I'm NOT that old. You have to wait and see what comes of it just like everyone else. Speaking of, it's time to end the chapter before you potentially say something spoiler-ish.
What did you guys think about the chapter? Was Juleka meeting and starting to connect with Ellie as sweet as I hoped it was? How long will the mystery of Donnel Grayson go on? Let me know what you think down below and I'll try to respond ASAP, the next chapter at the latest. This is Inkaliber, signing out.
