As the group headed deeper into Ermina, they decided to check in at the local inn, Hotel Journey, to rest after their long trek to the port city. When they headed inside, they found a fish wearing a suit and having some sort of hairdo flopping around at the front desk.

"It's a fish?" Lucy, Wendy, and Erza asked.

"It's a FISH!" both Happys said.

"Calm down, both of you." Carla said.

"I'm not the only one weirded out by this, am I?" Hope said.

"Yeah, me too." David said as he looked at the expressions on Leopardmon, Petra, and Revali's faces. "Oh god…"

"A fish can't be the receptionist for this hotel, can it? Where is the real clerk?" Tsubaki asked.

"Oh, wait!" Natsu said, grabbing the fish by the tail. "This must be for a drink to say welcome!"

"That's not fair, Natsu! Where's my yummy welcome drink?!" Happy asked.

"You guys are gross!" Lucy said.

"Don't you dare!" the fish said, suddenly snapping awake and, in a puff of smoke, transformed into a human man, surprising everyone.

"The fish is a fella!" Ed proclaimed, while Happy shed tears. "Could it be a shape-changing alien?!"

"It's magic, stupid." Rin deadpanned.

"Hello everyone, welcome to Hotel Journey." the man said calmly.

"We almost thought about eating a human…" Petra said.

"Sucks, doesn't it?" David piped up.

"I will never let myself live with this shame." Revali said.

"I do apologize, it seems I turned into a fish while napping. I'm sure you all know the feeling." the man said.

"We don't actually." Kieran sweatdropped.

"Wait, so are you a guy that turns into a fish, or a fish that turns into a guy?" Eddy asked.

"I've always thought of myself as more of a fish." the man replied, before he flinched in shock. "Wait, I just remembered, I'm late for a date!" he said as he made for the door. "Please, help yourself to any room you wish!"

"Wait, really? Thanks, dude!" ZS said in gratitude.

The man reached the door before he stopped. "Oh, one more thing…if you're planning to stay for a while…please make sure to drink the welcome drinks. Otherwise…you won't survive a day here." he said, his tone more serious than it was before, before he burst through the door and ran off. "Hang on Sharkette, I'm coming!"

"Okay…nothing weird about that." Scarlet said.

"Hey, are these the drinks he was talking about?" Steven said, holding up a beaker filled with blue liquid, the stopper shaped like a skull.

"...First one to take a drink, one-two-three NOT IT!" Emo said, followed by most of the group, the last one to speak being Eddy.

"Aw come on!" Eddy complained.

That night, while the group slept, some of them awoke to a surprising sight, their rooms as well as the entire hotel was flooded completely.

"What the heck?!" Jexi said.

"We're underwater. Crap, we can't….huh?" David said. "Wait…are we…breathing underwater? And we can talk too."

"Yeah….glad we…won't drown…" Chopper said as he and the other Devil Fruit users were lying on the floor unable to move.

"But how could this….the welcome drinks!" Aelita realized.

"Hey guys…did twenty polar ice caps melt while we were asleep? Cause, uh…" Carmine pointed out the window, where the entire city was underwater, a multitude of fish swimming around.

"What the heck?" Gray said.

"Yo, glad you guys could make it!" Natsu said as he and some of the others were already swimming around and enjoying themselves. "We've all gone full mermaid mode! Get out here and swim with us!"

"Even though we're underwater…!" Lucy said.

"We can breathe no problem!" Wendy said.

"It's magnificent!" Carla said while in human form.

"There's fish freakin' everywhere!" Happy said in delight.

"I know! This is awesome!" Happy-2 added.

"You're all having way too much fun with this." Gray said.

"Can you blame them?" Mermista asked as she swam up with her legs in tail form.

"Mermista? You didn't take the potion, so why are you-?" Kieran asked.

"Mermaid Princess, remember?" Mermista reminded. "I was already set for this place, so I didn't need the thing."

"Okay…but how did you know beforehand that you were?" Alkaline asked.

"Call it a feeling that something was-" Mermista said.

"You say fishy, and I'll bonk you on the head with a hardback cover." Emo deadpanned.

"I am delighted to see you all took the potion like I asked. If you hadn't, you wouldn't have acclimated to this environment." the hotel manager said, appearing in fish form. "My name is Kashima and I happen to be the manager of the hotel you are staying in."

"What the heck is going on here?" Makoto asked.

"It's high tide, of course. See, this town is meant for fish." Kashima explained.

"But why were you a human the last time we saw you?" Noel asked.

"Because you'd be shocked if we looked like fish, no?" Kashima asked.

"You were a fish when we first met you!" Catra retorted.

"Sorry… she kinda hates the water, so she's a little high-strung." Scorpia apologized.

"I'm getting some underwater fairytale vibes from all this." Leanne said.

"Yeah, I'm thinking something like the Little Mermaid, or that one about the kind sailor who helps that turtle… uh, what was it again?" Ibuki asked as she wracked her brain.

"You mean Urashima Taro." Korekiyo said. "The one where the turtle shows the one who saved it their undersea world…however different versions have the protagonist either becoming an old man or a jellyfish."

"I'd rather not let either of those endings happen!" Cap-P stated.

"Well…we appreciate the gesture, Kashima." Mark thanked the fish.

"Pray tell, what brings a large company of travelers such as yourself to our fine port town in the first place?" Kashima asked.

"We're looking for clues to find the Water Dragon God. Do you know any…" Gray began.

"No way! None of you shall so much as lay a finger on the great Water God, hear me?" Kashima said as the fish quickly turned against the group.

"Whoa, what the heck?!" Akane asked.

"What's going….ah!" Lucy cried out as she covered herself as one fish stole her bikini top. "Why does this always happen to me?!"

"No way we're going to become…" Natsu said before he was stopped by girl Ranma.

"No. We should grab the Devil Fruit users from the hotel and retreat for now." Ranma said.

"No way! These people are just like the humans from the other day! Capture them!" Kashima said as the group started to flee.

"What's got them so sizzled?!" Hyde asked.

"Clearly the mention of the Water Dragon God struck a bad chord with the citizens!" Entrapta said.

"Obviously!" Catra said. "Good god, I never thought I would be running from fish."

"You and me both, sister!" Happy said.

"Make that 3!" Happy-2 added.

After the group managed to get some distance and hid in an alleyway, they conversed amongst themselves.

"Anyone have a clue where we are?" Natsu asked.

"Not really. We pretty much fled without a real plan." Zoro said.

"When did we change to a world where all the yummy fish eat me?" Happy asked.

"It's probably justice from all the ones you've eaten." Carla said.

"Okay, that was a quick personality flip." Klonoa said.

"The moment Gray brought up the Water Dragon God, their personalities changed." Pearl said.

"Clearly they don't want us anywhere near them." David said.

"They mentioned other people. We might not be the only ones." Homura said.

"She's right. From what he said, there were other human customers who came here asking about it before we did." Gray said.

"I wonder what happened to them." Wendy said.

"Obviously these crazy fish went and ate them all up." Happy said.

"I somehow doubt that's entirely true." Revali said.

"It could've been any number of things, really." Mayumi said.

"For now, we need to decide our next move." Erza said.

"Obviously, we're gonna have ourselves a fish fry!" Natsu said.

"No! We're the ones invading their space." Aelita said. "They aren't evil, just fanatical maybe."

"I think that's right that they aren't the bad guys. I mean, why bother giving us a potion that lets us breathe underwater?" Gray said.

"As David said before, they don't want us near the Water God for whatever reason." Kokoro said.

"Well if taking down their god is gonna make them hate us, so be it." Natsu said.

"Actually, that's another thing. When Elefseria gave us the job, he used the word seal." Kokoro said.

"He definitely wants us to beat them up." Natsu said.

"Maybe, but seal can be interpreted in a number of ways, such as diminish their powers and lock them away somewhere." Sheer said. "Of course defeat could be another. He didn't specify the meaning behind those words. For example, say the Water Dragon God was a raging and destructive monster. If you were somehow able to pacify them, would that not count as sealing them way?"

"While we have faced a number of dragons, not all of them are destructive and malicious beings. You of all people should know that." Jexi said, looking to Natsu.

"Okay, I get it! No scrapping till we know more about them! Dumb Dragon Gods! But…." Natsu said. "If they hurt any of my friends…even a scratch…I'll slay them!" he said with determination.

"Okay…think we've spent enough time sitting on our hands." Dan said. "Time to get us some info. We gotta find out what happened to those other humans."

"But how are we going to gather information without being swarmed by fish on sight?" Kurochi asked.

"Hold on….I just thought of an amazing idea." Lucy smiled.

A few minutes later, the group watched from the shadows as the hotel clerk was chasing after his date.

"Okay…it's clear he's not a bad guy…" Gray said as the shadows lightened to show the group we're now fish with human faces. "Kinda like how we're not real fish."

"What do you mean? We're 100% fish!" Lucy said.

"This is amazing." Rebecca said.

"Yeah. Gemini's powers of transformation are good. Small animals like this are easy for them." Lucy said.

"Maybe but…" Wendy said, appearing as a jellyfish. "Why am I a jellyfish?"

"Guess Gemini was running low on magic power." Lucy said.

"Yeah, let's go get some info!" Pit said.

"Huzzah!" some of them said.

"Am I the only one who thinks this is dumb?" Gray said.

"And a bit disturbing. I'm gonna have nightmares about some of our forms for weeks." Revali said. "I mean, honestly, who ever heard of a birdfish?"

"Mmm…birdfish…" Happy said, drooling a bit.

"Not helping!" Revali said.

"You think you have it rough? Look at the Happys and Catra. They are literal catfish." David said.

"Hey, I'm taking this better than Happy is." Catra said.

"All I wanna do is eat fish. Worst part is…everyone here looks very tasty." Happy cried.

"Let's… Get this done as soon as possible… Preferably before Happy makes a buffet out of all of us." David said.

"Agreed." Weisz said.

The group split up around town as they started to investigate.

"Ugh…this is stupid. No one is going to buy this." Gray said.

"Excuse me, fellow fish!" a voice said as Gray and those with him turned to see Kashima.

"(Crap, the manager!)" they realized.

"Did any of you see those escaped humans from earlier?" Kashima asked.

"Uh… no. No, we haven't." Tenko said.

"Then hurry up and find them." Kashima said.

"By the way, what happened to those humans from the other day?" Roxas asked.

"Is that something that even needs asking?" Kashima asked. "We captured one of them and are offering them as a sacrifice to the Water God."

In another part, Natsu and his group happened upon a cage with someone inside.

"I smell a human." Natsu said as they swam down to see a woman chained up inside.

"Whoa…huh, hey!" Ulrich said, seeing a mark on her shoulder. "She's got one of those guildmarks."

"Which guild is she from?" Happy asked.

"Fish? No….humans and other creatures." the woman said.

"She talked!" Lucy said.

"Actually, I'm a cat!" Happy said.

"It's nearly time…you should consider moving back a bit." the woman said as the area started to shake.

"Now what?" Hope said before they all looked upon a large serpent-like dragon.

"Is that the Water Dragon God?" Lucy said.

"It's huge!" Happy said.

"Your sacrifice is right here, big boy. Come and get it." the woman said before she went and broke free of her restraints.

"What the?" some of them said.

"It's showtime." she said as she swung her arm as the cage was sliced right open. She smiled as she swam right at the beast with excitement as they started fighting.

"Wait…you don't think….she got captured on purpose, do you?" Ranma asked.

"If she is, she's even crazier than we thought." Jesse called out.

"Is this all one of the Great Dragon Gods has to offer? Pathetic. I'll finish this." she said as blades of magic appeared on her hands. "Dragon Slayer Secret Art!" she said before dicing up the dragon into sashimi. "Blade Dragon Sword Dance!"

"She's…a Dragon Slayer!" Jexi said.

"And now…" the woman said as she started eating the diced up parts of the dragon.

"She's eating the dragon?!" Kieran gasped.

"Eh, I guess there'd be one person in this place crazy or hungry enough to try it." Eddy remarked.

"This…this isn't the Water Dragon God. I've been deceived. What an irksome turn of events." she said before turning to the group. "Maybe you people…can provide me some entertainment." she said with a crazed look in her eye.

"Lucy, turn me back now!" Natsu said as his transformation was undone as he blocked it.

"Unscathed? Yes, I knew something was familiar about your scent." she said. "Like you, I'm also a Dragon Slayer."

"So there are more?" Hope asked.

"I hear those who gain power directly from a dragon are known as the 1st generation. The 2nd are those with lacrima in them. The 3rd are a combination of lacrima and dragon blessing. I was told there was a country that created magical weapons out of nothing but magic, they're the 4th. I suppose you could call me and others like me the 5th Generation." she said. "The generation that gained power from devouring dragons. We're known as the Dragon Eaters!"

"What?!" Kokoro said in shock.

"So you came here to eat the Five Dragon Gods." Aqua said.

"Yes, but that snake was not the Water Dragon God. And there are others like me. In fact, we are part of a guild exclusive to the Dragon Eaters, Diabolos. I am the Blade Dragon, Kiria." she said. "And are you after the Water Dragon God as well?"

"None of your business. Now then…" Natsu said.

"Wait, Natsu!" Jexi called out as Natsu was having trouble using his magic.

"We're underwater, you idiot! You're not going to start any fire down here!" Arven called out.

"A Fire Dragon? Sounds delicious." Kiria said, sending another slash wave that sent Natsu back.

"Aqua Metria!" Lucy said, changing into her Aquarius Dress and attacking with water, only for Kiria to slice it apart. "No way!"

"There is nothing I cannot cut." Kiria said as Lucy saw her dress was cut to ribbons as she covered herself.

"What the heck is your problem, lady?! That's the second time in this dumb town!" Lucy said.

"You're delicious in a whole different way." Kiria said.

"Hey! Phrasing!" Dark Water played a voice clip from Archer.

"Star Dress: Virgo!" Lucy said, changing into a black swimsuit as Kiria dove at her. "Oh come on!"

Before she could land a hit however, Kiria was imprisoned in ice as Gray and his group rejoined them.

"Just what is with this chick?" Gray said.

"She eats dragons, apparently." Eddy answered. "Nice save, Fullbuster!"

"So she's crazy. Got it." David said.

"My word! The sacrifice! And the escaped humans! Where have you all been hiding this whole time?" Kashima asked.

"We were the poorly disguised human faced fish." Catra deadpanned.

"How atrocious. You all went and killed the Water God's messenger!" Kashima said.

"Hey that was not…wait, messenger?" Hope asked.

"Yes, this was the messenger to bring the sacrifice to the Great Water God. And it has been butchered. This is awful. He will be furious." Kashima said.

"Is that so? Then killing that snake wasn't a waste after all." Kiria said before the ice holding her shattered.

"She broke through Gray's ice?!" Frosta said.

"Watch it…she's pretty tough." Jexi said.

"Ah! And she totally cut off my trunks!" Gray said, noticing his trunks were gone.

"No…no I did not." Kiria said. "You all seem like very entertaining fools so let's get serious." she said before looking up as Erza and her group descended towards them.

"Stay back! I'll handle this!" Erza said, gripping her blade.

"A sword?! Yes! Now this will be more…" Kiria said before something dropped in from above. This thing before a person clad in armor as the sword hit his head, not doing any damage. "Madmole, why?"

"I came to get you when you did not return." he said.

"He blocked the strike…with his head?" Zoro said.

"Yes. There is nothing this one cannot block. He is the Armor Dragon Madmole!" Kiria said.

"A pleasure, cha." Madmole said solemnly.

"So physical attacks are out on this one." Ragna said.

"I dont require your help, I can handle this." Kiria said.

"Lord Skullion has requested your return." Madmole said.

"Not a chance. There is also a possibility I just summoned the Water Dragon God here. And these fools have been making for quite a meal. One I have not savored in quite some time." Kiria said.

"This is starting to turn into quite the…." Sheer said as the sea above glowed.

"Now what?" Penny said as the sea started to part in six different directions.

Up above, they saw a humanoid being with seafoam green hair and a pair of horns descending downward.

"It's him! The Water god!" Kashima said.

"You all are being noisy…in my sea." he said.
