(Hi, BlankBlandNameHere here (lol). I am very new here, so this is the very first "chapter" of the very first story I will be publishing on this site.
As you can guess, this is going to be a TBOSAS sequel. I don't want to spoil too much, so let's go.)
As expected. This was a failure.
President Maximinus Ravinstill is sitting in his office, pensive, going through Dr. Gaul's journals and the latest news from District 12.
Salvaging the Hunger Games, and the Capitol's reputation, are going to take a lot more than scientific experiments and psychoanalyses.
The president is not an empathetic man, by any means. Though the last ten years made him realize that the treatments of the tributes were not quite right.
They have to bear the burden of their Districts' guilt. This is out of the question.
Treating them like actual criminals or literal circus animals only resulted in rebellious sentiments to flare up once again. Whereas the purpose of the Hunger Games was to smother them once and for all.
Something has to change.
The door opens. His advisor has returned with a notice. They will all arrive to the Capitol soon.
It isn't much but just enough to get things going into a new direction.
A new era.
(End prologue. See you on chapter 1, where the story will start for real.)
