Chapter 13 – Big Brother
Luke woke up with a big sound coming outside. Looking at the time he saw it was still very early, around 3.20am. After a few minutes, the room light up and some seconds later the sound was heard, realizing that a storm was approaching, just like the older people in Varykino always said after weeks of heat.
It was a week after the girls 6th birthday and the weather was not bad, which they were happy cause they were able to make the party outside, where the kids they invited were able to play and do many games for them.
They were even able to bring Leia and little Breha, to be under the shadows and be around for a little while, before go back to the bedroom, for the rest of recovering, but mother and daughter were doing fine and both were very healthy.
Another thunder was heard, and Luke decided to see the kids, especially the girls who always were afraid of storms during the night, but when he got inside, he couldn't help but smile when he saw the girls sleeping but with Spots right between them.
"I think he is afraid too!" he said to himself.
Not wanting to wake the girls up, he left the room and head to the boy's. Ben was sleeping on his stomach. His first born was not afraid of storms, but his youngest was awake, and the moment he saw his father, he raised his little arms.
"I see someone's awake with the storm," he said picking him up. "Come on, want to sleep between mama and papa?"
Lukey looked at his father sucking his pacifier and nod.
"Let's go then!" he said kissing the toddler forehead, and head to his bedroom, which was right on the next door.
The moment he entered, he noticed the bed was empty, and realized the door for the balcony was opened.
"I guess mama decided to see if the storm is closer," Luke said looking at his son, and couldn't help but giggled, when he out the kid down and Lukey crawled right away to his spot and got under the covers.
Walking outside, he saw Ines looking up.
"I knew you were here!" he said wrapping his arms from behind her.
"I woke up and you were not there, so I knew you went checking the kids, and once I heard the thunder, I came here to see if it getting closer and yes. It will be a big storm and I can see it will last all day."
Luke looked up the moment a lightning was saw illuminating the sky and after a while the thunder was heard.
"I never got this type of storms in Tatooine!"
"We had a lot of these in Alderaan and Leia and I always loved to go outside or in the balcony to watch it. It is a very beautiful thing to watch, but you always need to be careful!" Ines replied. "How are the kids?"
"Well sleeping."
"Even the girls!" she asked very surprise.
"Well they are 6 already, they are growing up!" he pout making Ines laugh. "But I brought a guest to sleep with us tonight!"
Knowing whom her husband was talking about, Ines and Luke went inside, and while Luke closed the door, Ines smiled when she saw her baby Lukey, who smiled at his mother.
"Hey, look who is here!" she said getting under the covers and kissing her baby's cheeks many times, making Lukey laughed. "Are you going to sleep here?"
"Yes!" the 2 years old said.
"Says who?"
"Papa!" he pointed at his father, who got under the covers too.
"I see, then how about you get to sleep, cause I'm sure the storm will get worse for sure!" Ines said and turning off the light, they went to sleep with Lukey snuggling near his mother.
Afternoon:
It was middle of the afternoon and like they predicted, it was a very rainy and stormy day.
Ines went upstairs, and entered in Leia's bedroom, with a tray of snacks for a sister in law, who was in bed recovering from labor, and couldn't help but smile when she saw her nephew Ani, laying on his mother and father's bed, next to his baby sister.
"Hey, I thought you want to eat something!" she said putting the tray in front of Leia.
"I'm starving. To be honest."
"And you need to eat so you can produce good milk for this cutie!" she said sitting on the edge of the bed, looking at her niece and nephew. "What are you doing buddy?"
"Taking care of my sister!" Ani said and leaning down he kissed the baby head. "Right. I love you and I will take care of you, I promise. You are so beautiful and I was waiting for you for so long."
Ines and Leia looked at each other and pout.
"That's so sweet!" Ines smiled. "And how are you?"
"I already can get out of here and eat with you guys."
"We know, but it is only for another day. Tomorrow you can already get out of this bed!" she said and looked at Breha. "And can I hold your baby sister?"
Ani looked at his aunt and nod.
"Of course. You are my aunt and godmother. I trust you!" he said to her, as Ines picked the baby,
"He is taking this older brother thing really seriously!" she said and looked at her niece. "You will have a big bodyguard, sweetie!"
"You have no idea. Every day, he comes here when he wakes up, and before going to bed, to kiss her and say he loves her. It is very cute to be honest."
"And how is Bail doing it cause we already know that Iris is loving it."
"She helps me so much. Bail is getting used but he loves her too. He comes here and gives her many kisses, but when she start to make noises and move a lot, he steps back."
Ines giggled at that.
"I miss holding a newborn. Lukey is getting so big to my taste. He already uses the potty now all the time."
Ani looked at his aunt.
"Don't worry. Next year from today it you would be in my Mama's place."
Before Ines and Leia could asked him what did he say, Han entered in the room.
"There you are!" he said
"Where you looking for me?" Ines asked him.
"Yup, someone arrived!"
Ines frown.
"With this weather!" Leia said exactly the words that Ines was thinking.
"Who?" Ines asked him.
"For a moment I thought it was Boba, but then I realized that were those clones that look like him."
"Rex!" Ines said right away. "I guess they already went to Bakura!" she said looking at Leia.
It was time to know a little more about what happened.
Rex arrived with another clone. What news they will bring? And what do you think of Ani with his baby sister Breha?
