AN: There's a really long note at the end. Enjoy the chapter.

Harry and the Avengers were sitting around a table at a partially destroyed restaurant eating. The owners were in the back cleaning up after Harry came in and repaired the shop. Harry set down his empty basket and leaned back letting out a deep sigh, "How's everyone feeling?"

"I've been better." Tony said as he slowly chewed his food. Bruce and Thor both just grunted while Steve watched on from the side with a slight smile.

"My new bow did well." Clint said after the slight pause of silence following Tony's comment.

Natasha gave a small smirk, "My new weapons were quite handy."

Tony grinned while putting down his food, "Harry and I were quite pleased with the level of the gear we made, but it's still the first iteration using our new tech. So give me ideas if you have them."

At that everyone seemed to perk up a bit, "My biggest issue in this battle was mobility." Steve piped up. Natasha and Clint both agreed with a nod.

"Yeah I know what you mean. After my broom was damaged I had a hard time moving around as much as I did towards the beginning of the battle." Harry said as he pulled out his slightly damaged broom still shrunk.

"My greatest challenge was my knowledge of the area." Thor boomed out as he once again ran a hand through his returned hair.

"We can discuss our gear and battle strategies tomorrow." Harry said as he stood up. "We have more work to do." The rest of the Avengers all looked out the front door at the devastation in view, before getting up and following Harry out the door.

Once they were standing in the streets they could see people meandering around looking at the ruins of nearby buildings or burned out cars. Some were positioned over bodies crying, others just staring blankly at the destroyed city. Deciding to pull everyone's attention away from the surroundings Harry spoke up, "Captain, I want you, Thor, and Banner coordinating with local law enforcement and rescue services, help get people out of wreckage where you can. Bruce, feel free to render emergency aid. Hawkeye and Widow, I want you to liaise with SHIELD, get them where they need to be. Tony, do you have a replacement helmet?" Harry asked. When Tony nodded, "I want you to do some fly-bys of destroyed buildings looking for heat signatures and set out distress beacons for where they are trapped. Everyone alright with this plan?"

Harry looked to his teammates when they all nodded and put their game faces on, "Then let's get to it." Harry walked off to the side to fetch a new broom before stepping back out of his trunk and taking off. Over the next few hours the entire team used their abilities and knowledge to help save people and clean up alien parts. Harry mainly spent his time flying around the main battle area repairing buildings and fixing up the roads. At one point when Harry was fixing a set of shops on the ground and porting away alien bodies and tech he was approached by a new crew.

"Sir, may I ask you a few questions!" Harry turned to look at them and gave them a nod, "Who are you and what happened here?"

Harry took a moment before answering, "I am Summoner, a member of the Avengers, which is a group of people who banded together to save the Earth. This was an invasion by an alien group to conquer the Earth and cause mayhem and destruction. Now I must get back to work, there are still people trapped here."

The news team nodded, "Thank you for your time." Harry was about to fly off when another news team jogged up, "Sir! Are you going to be taking responsibility for the damages you and your group did to the city?!" Harry was just lifting off when he was asked that, looking back he saw a reporter in a suit giving him a smug look. Annoyed, Harry waved his hand, transfiguring the news team's equipment and clothes into the rescue team's outfit and equiment.

"If you have time for stupid questions then do something useful with your time." Harry then flew off to continue his work. Harry was just repairing a tower that had nearly fallen when he realized the sun was setting. Sighing he looked over the mostly repaired area. One of the buildings that collapsed was out of his abilities to repair, but most of the alien tech and corpses had been shrunk and ported away to be dealt with later. "Updates from everybody?"

"I've scanned and found all the heat signatures I could and forwarded them to the rescue teams." Tony replied, "I'm now headed back to the tower."

"I've got emergency triage centers set up all throughout the affected areas. Local PD and Military are still working to pull people out of wreckage." Steve replied.

"SHIELD has people on the ground. They started asking about alien tech when we could barely find any of it." Clint followed up.

"Tell them not to worry about it and start disaster relief." Harry said, slightly annoyed at SHIELD's priority.

"Oh don't worry about it. I waved over Thor when they started getting uppity and he set them straight." Clint said with a laugh with a slight chuckle from everyone coming over comms.

"Alright well it's late, we have a team discussion tomorrow and I think we can leave the rest in the hands of disaster relief." Harry said, "Anyone need a portal to the tower?" With everyone but Tony saying yes Harry moved around collecting the team.

When everyone was laid out in the penthouse Harry stood ready to talk but realized they all passed out where they sat. Smiling and shaking his head Harry levitated them each to one of the guest rooms and took one for himself, falling asleep faster than he had in a long time.

The next morning Natasha awoke to find herself in an unfamiliar room, still in her battle gear. Squinting her eyes she moved quietly to the door and tried the handle, being surprised that it opened she schooled her features and slipped into the hall. Slowly the tenseness of her shoulders was replaced with amusement when she walked into the open area of the penthouse to find Harry moving around the kitchen making breakfast. He was humming and bopping along to the music playing from nearby speakers as he piled a veritable feast on the nearby table.

"The homemaker look works for you Harry." She said and watched as Harry flipped a pancake almost to the ceiling in response before catching it and turning to give her an amused glare.

"Don't spook me while I'm cooking. Don't you know this is a delicate process?" Harry said as he turned his attention back to the pans situated in front of him. Natasha let out a small chuckle as she moved over and leaned against an unused counter top.

"Well I just find it amusing that the big bad wizard is so homey." Natasha mused as she continued to watch Harry cook with skill she didn't know he had. "I mean I've seen you cook at your old apartment plenty of times, but never this skillfully."

Harry hummed as he stacked four more pancakes on a mountain of others, "I get plenty of practice now that the twins are living with me." Natasha's eyes softened at the reminder that he was basically a dad. "Would you mind rousing the others before food gets cold. Also I laid out some casual clothes for everybody, so feel free to shower and change." Harry said as he finally turned towards her completely, showing that he was wearing an apron that was probably Tony's considering it said, 'kiss the chef, he tastes rich'. Snorting, she moved off to wake the rest.

Several minutes later Steve and Thor came into the living area talking quietly, for Thor at least. Bruce was prodding the zombie Tony in amusement while Clint and Nat brought up the rear. "Tony." Harry said, grabbing the half dead man's attention. He held out a giant cup of black coffee and Stark seemed to teleport next to him grabbing the mug and taking a long sip before his eyes finally opened all the way.

"Thank god for coffee." Tony said blissfully as he tried to walk away.

"Nuh uh, eat Tony." Harry pushed him towards the counter holding all the food so he could make himself a plate. Thor had already grabbed a dozen pancakes and was devouring them at the nearby table while Steve was quickly eating two omelets. Clint and Natasha made themselves normal sized plates and Harry took off his apron and grabbed himself some food.

The next several minutes were quiet as the entire team ate until a panicking Pepper Potts came flying into the room, hair disheveled and a wild look in her eyes. Everyone stopped and stared as she froze seeing the entire group of heroes eating breakfast. Harry couldn't hold back after the silence continued for almost a minute and let out a loud guffaw when he saw that Pepper didn't know what to do, "Pep you should see your face!"

Tony winced as Pepper's face went from bewildered to annoyed. She gave Harry a slight glare before finding Tony and approaching him. First she hugged him and gave him a big kiss. Leaning back up she said, "I was so worried Tony!" before smacking him on his shoulder, "Why didn't you call me to tell me you were okay?!"

"Hey! I was busy. I was going to call as soon as breakfast was over." Tony said with a whine as he rubbed his shoulder, Harry and Clint were quietly chuckling before Nat smacked both of them, earning a grateful look from Pepper. After that Pepper sat down to eat too before dragging Tony off towards their room. Harry and the rest of the team were sitting at the table sipping coffee and tea.

"So what's the plan today?" Bruce asked from the side as he eyed the mess in the kitchen. When he got up to start cleaning up Harry waved him off.

"Well I'd like to have a team debrief and discussion, preferably after Pepper finishes up with Tony." While Harry was saying that he waved his hand towards the kitchen and all the used plates and pans filed themselves into the sink and started washing themselves. "We need to talk about the future of the team and then get Loki back to Asgard. Clint, could you report for us to Fury?" Harry said, giving Clint a significant look. Clint immediately got it and rushed off to call his wife.

"I will need to return to report to the All-Father when returning Loki to Asgard." Thor spoke up.

"Bruce, can you get an idea of what Hulk did during the attack?" Harry asked, looking at Bruce. When he nodded he moved his gaze to Steve, "Steve, can you write down a report of your actions with the local law enforcement so I can send it to Fury later?"

Steve nodded, "No problem. I remember doing after action reports during the war." After that they all wandered off to complete their assignments or relax. It was around noon when they all congregated in the living room.

"So who wants to start off?" Tony asked as he lounged back on the couch.

Steve sat up to speak first, "Well we need to discuss the team right?"

"That's absolutely right Captain." Fury said from the elevator nearby.

Tony groaned, "I really need to get Jarvis reconnected to this floor." Harry gave Tony an apologetic look. It seems he hadn't magic proofed his new penthouse just yet, so when it was repaired it fried the small terminals on this floor.

"We need to discuss the future of the team and what your goals will be." Fury stated as he stood in his dragon hide jacket with his hands resting behind his back.

Harry sat forward at this point and gave Fury an intense look, "What we really need to discuss is that Nuke." Mentioning the Nuke had the relaxed nature of the room instantly removed. The rest of the team sat up as well giving Fury all their attention.

Fury grunted and attempted a stern glare but it had no heat, "That was the decision of the World Security Council, not mine."

"Stupid idiotic…" Harry started mumbling off insults and threats before he suddenly got an unholy gleam in his eye and a wide grin, "Be right back!" Harry shouted in a sing-songy voice before fading away.

Fury stood there for a moment before he abruptly laughed. He was quick to smother his laughter as the team of superheroes stared at him in surprise, but his eyes were full of mirth. "Do you know where he went?" Steve asked.

"Oh I'm sure the WSC are getting a friendly visit from our local magic man right about now." Tony said as he too had a gleeful look on his face, "I can't believe they thought sending a nuke at New York city was a good move." Tony finished with a frown.

"I understand the need for drastic action, but the situation was mostly in hand and they had no idea how the nuke would react to the machine powered by the Tesseract." Natasha said with a blank face.

Bruce huffed as his eyes turned slightly green, "That's the problem. If that device was destabilized but didn't power down the portal could have exploded or reopened in the center of the earth. Both options mean the destruction of our world." After hearing that everyone had a look of horror slip across their faces, even Fury.

Trying to move the conversation away from that image. Fury decided to get a quick debrief from the whole team while Harry was away and fifteen minutes later, Harry showed up in his hero outfit. "That went well." Harry said with a grin as he lowered his cowl.

"You got a bit of red on you." Natasha said, pointing out a few specs of red on his white robes. Harry brushed it off revealing it wasn't blood but confetti.

"What did you do?" Tony asked when he realized he probably didn't kill or maim any of them.

Harry's happy smile took on a sinister edge, "I visited each of them to let them know what I thought of their decision before I went to their homes and filled it with missile shaped confetti and left a note on each of their beds. It reads that next time they try anything that stupid I'll send the nuke to one of their homes instead."

While the team had a good few moments laughing, Fury cleared his throat, gaining everyone's attention. "Now first thing's first. The council wasn't happy with my decision to call you in. They didn't believe that we needed the team, but you all showed them that you can do what I said you could."

Everyone nodded along while Fury continued, "What you do next is entirely up to you. I just want you to be ready for another event like this. There is something that I want you to help with soon though." Fury finished giving Harry a significant look. Harry's eyes widened slightly before he nodded and waved his hands around setting up privacy charms.

"Now Captain, this is going to come as a shock to you, but HYDRA is still active." Fury stated giving Steve all his attention. Harry noticed both Clint and Natasha stiffening in realization of where this topic is going. "Harry and myself have both been tracking their movements and are preparing a large strike against them."

Steve noticing that they weren't telling him something made him wary, "What aren't you telling me?"

Fury sighed, "HYDRA has infiltrated SHIELD." Steve's eyes grew extra wide knowing that SHIELD was created by Peggy, Howard, and Philips.

"You're saying SHIELD was infiltrated by Nazis?" Bruce spoke up at that point.

"HYDRA isn't really a Nazi organization." Harry decided to explain, "HYDRA is more of a cult that joined the Nazi party during World War II to take advantage of the resources of the Third Reich. Schmidt, the leader of HYDRA during WW2 was a man hellbent on power. He craved it and HYDRA is an organization that wants more power. There are some diehard HYDRA agents that still follow the origins of the reincarnation of some god-like figure, but most are just in it for control, money, and power."

They were all slightly surprised by that information, except Fury of course, who Harry gave the rundown on his mind explorations. "I thought they were all nazis." Steve stated softly as he looked down to his clenched fists.

"Oh don't worry too much about their motivations, Cap. HYDRA is still completely filled with maniacs and monsters." Harry said darkly as he patted the super soldiers back, his mind wandering back to some of the experiments he saw going through their minds.

Fury took the conversation back over, "The reason I brought this up is I would like you all to be involved when we start taking down the HYDRA cells and bases. I've already started splitting off a loyal branch of SHIELD to help mitigate the damage done with how deep the infiltration goes."

"We're in." Steve said confidently as he stood. Harry smiled at his enthusiasm.

"We aren't off to battle just yet Steve. We still have clean up for the city and alien tech. There are plans in place, but by the end of the year HYDRA will be expunged from SHIELD." Harry told him as too stood up, "You all with us?" Harry said, looking over their other teammates.

"We shall battle again comrades!" Thor boomed as he stood picking up his hammer.

After that Harry and Fury gave them a rundown on the basics of a plan and a solid timeframe for when everything would happen. "This will give me and Tony time to tweak your gear for any issues of deficiencies they might have." Harry said as Tony started mumbling and pulling up plans on his phone.

Fury said his farewells and left, leaving everyone else to wander off to do their own things. Harry said goodbye to Tony, "I need to head to the X-Mansion. The twins are probably getting antsy waiting for me." Tony nodded and waved as he moved to an elevator, grabbing Bruce along the way, heading towards his lab.

Harry walked up to the driveway of the X-Mansion. The grounds were quiet and he could see classes going on in the building. Making sure he didn't make too much noise Harry moved through the mansion up to Xavier's office. He knocked quietly on the door, "Come in!"

Opening the door, Harry was greeted with Xavier doing paperwork, "Good afternoon Charles."

Xavier finished up writing out a letter before looking up, "Good to see you Harry. Glad you're in one piece after the news showed the attack in New York."

Harry took a seat, "Yeah that was a bit of a surprise. We took care of it though."

"Well when we got reports of what was going on, the team suited up, but the fight seemed to be over before we could reach you." Xavier said as he cleaned up his desk.

Harry huffed, "I couldn't believe the whole invasion only lasted for 30 minutes. The amount of damage and enemies was much too high for such a short amount of time. Honestly, it felt like I was battling for hours, but that's how battle feels. A scant few minutes feel like a long time."

"Yes, well numerical and technological superiority makes any attack like that much worse than it could be with an opponent on the same level." Xavier said, "That being said, you did well to hold off and stop the attack. Who were your companions though? I recognize Mr. Stark, of course, but the others were not anyone I was familiar with."

"Well there was Tony and I, which you know, Black Widow and Hawkeye, both super spies and assassins who work with SHIELD. The big green guy is Hulk, an alter ego to Dr. Bruce Banner and the final member was Thor, Asgardian and god of thunder." Harry said as he counted down the members on his hand.

Xavier's eyebrows rose when Banner was mentioned, as he hadn't been seen in the scientific community for a few years, but when Harry mentioned Thor Xavier paused, "Asgardian? Like Norse gods?"

"Well yeah." Harry said slightly confused before he realized Ororo probably never shared what he told her. "A year or so ago I met Thor when he was sent to Earth without his powers as a punishment. I ended up going to Asgard to help him. Turns out they're more like a hyper advanced alien race than actual gods."

When Xavier nodded in understanding, "Anyway that's my new team. We call ourselves the Avengers and we'll be teaming up to take on new threats that regal people can't handle."

"Ah, so like what my team does when mutant threats show up?" Xavier asked.

"Exactly. With so many super powered people popping up everywhere and alien invasions, we needed a group with the ability to stop those threats. So next time you're getting overwhelmed or just need a hand, feel free to call us." Harry said with a grin. Xavier was about to speak up when he was interrupted by his door shooting open and a young teen girl rushing into the room and jumping on his guest.

"Hello there little one!" Harry said happily as he hugged his daughter. His smile slipped a bit as he heard Wanda sniffling, "What's wrong?"

"I was worried about you. I saw the news." Wanda said, her voice muffled as she hugged him.

"You don't have to worry about me Wanda. I'm okay." Harry said as he rubbed her back, sending an apologetic look at Xavier. Xavier just waved it off. "Come on, let's go find your brother and I can take you two home alright?" Wanda nodded as she let go and walked out of the room ahead of Harry, "I'll come back and chat soon Charles. It seems they might need some time at the house."

"Don't worry about it Harry. They are just a little shaken up." Xavier said as he shook hands with Harry and bid him farewell.

Harry walked out of Xavier's office to find Ororo nearby looking him over, "Everything alright?"

"Yeah everything's fine. The city is still recovering but me and my team came out relatively unharmed." Harry said, reassuring her. Ororo seemed to relax as she fell in step with him.

"Wanda and Pietro were very worried about you. Especially when the devastation was shown on the news." Ororo said as students moved through the halls. Some of the kids who knew his hero outfit looked at him in awe. Ororo, seeing that chuckled, "Someone caught you on video stopping one of those flying worm things with a giant earth spike. Now the kids all look up to you."

Harry chuckled awkwardly as he scratched his head, "It wasn't much really. You should have seen Hulk. He pancaked one of them with a punch."

Ororo continued to tease him as they moved to the temporary rooms of his two charges. "Pietro, are you ready to go?" Harry said as he walked over to the open door where Pietro was laying on his bed. He flickered and was immediately hugging Harry but backed off quickly blushing.

"I'm glad to see you're alright Harry." Pietro said as he inspected his shoes. Harry chuckled before mussing up his hair. Wanda joined them shortly after.

Harry turned to Ororo, "I'll be keeping them home for the next few days, but they should be back in class by Monday."

Ororo just nodded with a soft smile as she gave Wanda a quick hug, "I'll see you all next week then." Harry made a portal back home and disappeared with his wards, leaving Ororo staring at where they once were.

AN:Hey all! This chapter marks the end of the first book of my series Harry Potter: SHIELD and Sorcery.

Now I'm not going on hiatus or making a new entry. I will be taking a few extra days to make sure I have the next books plot all lined up and then I'll be back on to my every other day schedule.

I just wanted to take a moment and give you a general outline of how the rest of the series is organized. This first book is just called The Prologue, it was an introduction to the MCU for Harry and sets up his role for the future of Marvel.

Book 2: The Deviation - This is where canon will get mostly sidelined and Harry's presence and abilities starting changing the world, for good and bad.

Book 3: Rise of Heroes - A build up arc, setting up the pieces for the climax of the story.

Book 4: Infinite War - This will be the climax of the story, where all the build ups finally pay off as the Avengers take on Thanos.

Book 5: Reclamation - Tying up loose ends and Harry saving his old world.

Book 6: New Age - (My favorite part) Harry settles down and has a family. Basically a really long epilogue.

That's the general outline for where this story is going. I hope you're enjoying so far as I try and improve my writing.

See you in a few days!
