Chp. 13: Rebandaging

Team SLAA Dorm Room

The door to Team SLAA's dorm room opens as Mitra steps inside and closes the door behind her. She walks over to her bed and jumps into it face first as she breaks down into sobs. After a few moments of sobbing, a knock was heard at the door. Mitra looked up at the door and quickly wiped away her tears.

"Come in," she said,

The door opened as Lloyd stepped inside and closed the door behind him.

"Mitra? Are you doing okay?" he asked.

"Yes. I'm fine," Mitra answered, trying her best to not sound broken, but Lloyd already caught on to it.

"No, you don't sound fine. Is this about what happened to us that day?" he asked.

Unable to hold it in anymore, Mitra collapsed back down onto her bed and went back to sobbing once more. Lloyd walked over to her and sat down next to her on the bed. He placed his hand on Mitra's back and rubbed her back in comfort.

"Mitra... neither of us could have seen the events coming. I chose to save because I wanted too. Because I still love you," Lloyd said.

Mitra continued crying for a couple more minutes before she finally sat herself up and wiped away her tears.

"The reason I look out for you constantly after the day you lost your eyes was because I still blame myself for you getting hurt and I couldn't do anything about it to save you. I want to protect you to make up for that day," Mitra explained. "And... to make up for why we had split up beforehand."

"Our parents wanted to arrange a marriage for us since they knew we loved each other," Lloyd said, looking down at the floor.

"But I wasn't ready for it. And neither were you. You were desperate to jump the gun on it. But I didn't want us to rush into it," Mitra said.

"I know. I shouldn't have pushed you to do this. I'm sorry, Mitra. I'm really sorry," Lloyd said.

The two sat in silence for a moment before Mitra suddenly wrapped her arms around Lloyd into a hug before Lloyd soon returned the favor in kind.

Arena

Later inside the arena, several students were sparring with each other. Siavash and Amethyst had been picked to spar with each other.

"Ready to lose?" Amethyst asked.

"Question is, are you?" Siavash asked back.

Amethyst shot a blast of fire at Siavash from Hurricane as he rolled to the side. Siavash uses his semblance to summon an elephant which it charges towards her. Amethyst shot a blast of frost at the summon freezing it in place before blasting a boulder from her broomstick at it, destroying it. She pulls out a fire Dust crystal out of her pocket and uses her semblance to harness its energy before unleashing a blast of fire from her mouth at Siavash. Her opponent rolls away from the attack as he dashed over towards Amethyst.

Siavash slashed at Amethyst's chest before swinging his sword at her for another attack, but Amethyst blocks the attack before swinging her broomstick at Siavash's hean, then his stomach, and then shot an electrical current, sending him flying and crashing into a wall. Siavash quickly gets up and splits his sword apart, transforming them into his dual guns. He then started to shoot at Amethyst as she twirled Hurricane in front of her, deflecting away the shots. As she does, she then sprints over toward her opponent.

Amethyst swung her broomstick at Siavash as he ducks down away from the attack before kicking her in the stomach and combining his two rifles back into his sword and transforming it into his whip. Siavash swung his whip at Amethyst, striking her in the side. He swung his wipe several more times as Amethyst as she backflips away from his attacks. Amethyst then quickly countered by kicking Siavash in the jaw as she backflipped.

Amethyst swung Hurricane at Siavash, but he quickly catches the attack with his arm before kicking her in the stomach, and then flips her on her back, slamming her to the floor, while transforming his whip back into his sword and points it at Amethyst's face.

"Got you," Siavash said.

"You sure did," Amethyst replied.

Siavash held out his hand to Amethyst as she took it. He then pulls his sparring partner up. The two then started to make their way to the locker room.

Locker Room

A couple minutes later inside the locker room, Siavash and Amethyst had just finished up a match with each other and then had stepped into the locker room, where Atar and Arslan were inside changing. They approached their lockers and opened them and prepared to change back into their school uniforms.

"You really gave me a hard time in the ring, Amethyst," Siavash said.

"But you still got me in the end," Amethyst said.

"Yeah, I did," Siavash said.

As Siavash was taking his shirt off, he briefly got tangled up by the sleeves on his shirt. He spun around briefly while struggling to take his shirt off until he finally pulled it off over his head. And as he did, he caught a glimpse of Amethyst, wearing nothing but a purple bra with black laced linings and a pair of matching panties. Amethyst turned her head around and noticed Siavash looking at her.

"I see you're enjoying the view," Amethyst said with a cheeky smirk.

Siavash quickly turns around with a yelp. Arslan glanced over to Siavash and Amethyst's direction before rolling her eyes and facing back to her locker.

"So sorry! It was an accident! I didn't mean to look!" he said as he stuffed his shirt into his locker.

Amethyst noticed a large scar on his back which looked like he had been struck by lightning. She also noticed some burn scars on his left hand.

"Siavash... how did you get that scar on your back? And those burns on your hand?" she asked.

Siavash paused for a moment before he finally spoke.

"I got them before I came to Mistral, but I don't want to talk about it."

Amethyst felt a sense of discomfort from the answer and decided to say something else.

"Aside from the scars, the rest of you look nice," she said.

"Thanks. You look nice yourself," Siavash replied.

"You know what? Maybe you and I should go out. Maybe? Just the two of us? Maybe?" Amethyst asked.

"Care to go out Saturday night then?" Siavash asked.

"I've got nothing going on then. Saturday night it is," Siavash answered.

Atar had been watching the interaction between Siavash and Amethyst, He turned his attention to Arslan who was now dressed in her school uniform and closed up her locker. Atar walks over to Arslan and taps on her shoulder. Arslan turns around and faces Atar.

"Yes?" she asked.

"I wish to ask you something, Arslan," Atar said.

"Go on," Arslan replied.

"I know we have never much interacted with each other, but I like for us to do that. So do you care to go out with me?" Atar asked.

"As long as we're not going to the same place those two are going. I'm only available Saturday," Arslan answered.

"Thanks, Arslan," Atar replied.

The P.A. system goes off as Professor Bellerose spoke through it, catching everyone's attention.

"Would Team SLAA and HDAA come to the Headmistress' office please?"

"What do you think she wants?" Amethyst asked.

"I don't know. Let's get ourselves dressed and get going," Siavash said.

"I'll see you later," Arslan said to Atar before walking away.

Siavash, Amethyst, and Atar continue getting dressed before they start making their way to Professor Bellerose's office.

Headmaster's Office

Several minutes had passed as Teams SLAA and HDAA were walking down the hallway on their way to the Headmaster's office. The eight students were wondering why they were being summoned there.

"Why do you think Professor Bellerose is calling for us?" Athena asked

"Do you think we're in trouble?" Lloyd asked.

"That can't be. I don't recall any of us misbehaving," Deriko answered.

"You did cause an explosion in the lab when doing one of your experiments, Deriko," Atar retorted.

"It was for science! Besides, that was an accident! The teacher knew it was!" Deriko argued.

"Guys, whatever the reason is has to be important. So try to behave while we're inside," Athena said.

They approached the door to Professor Bellerose's office and opened it. They all stepped inside to see Professor Bellerose seated behind her desk with Samuel, Laura, and Team SAPR all standing beside her desk.

"I'm so glad you all could join us, Team SLAA, Team HDAA," Bellerose greeted.

"Professor, what's Team SAPR doing here?" Yasu asked.

"They have something important to tell you all," Samuel replied.

"We have been thinking for some time now. We believe that since you have encountered Team SMMK and fought against them twice now, they would try to get back at you guys for getting their way," Arrastra said.

"Also, we know how much you guys grew attached to the artifacts when you first discovered them," Asher added.

"So we all decided to become a part of Haven's staff by day, and your magic teachers by night," Fenix exclaimed.

"Isn't that great?" Pyke asked.

Teams SLAA and HDAA all looked on in surprise for a moment before the silence was broken by Amethyst.

"Really?" she asked with stars in her eyes.

"I'm in! There is much I want to know and do with the artifacts!" Deriko said with a sinister chuckle.

"You kid are weird," Fenix said with a look of discomfort.

"So I guess we're all in agreement to study the magical artifacts," Siavash said.

"This will be fun! When do we start?" Mitra asked.

"Tomorrow night. So ready yourselves," Arrastra answered.
