Lucas stayed in town for College. In order to be there for Haley as much as he could be. And Brooke also offered all the support she could offer.
Despite her history and friendship with Peyton. Haley and her had their own relationship as friends. And that was very important to Brooke.
Getting ready for the impending birth of her baby. Made Haley grow up and evolve in ways she expected and in ways she didn't.
She hadn't seen or spoken to Nathan since she told him about the pregnancy. That was months ago now.
Her wanted her to remain hidden and in the background.
She would rather raise this child without him then have this baby feel the way she felt that day.
She lived on her own now. Her place was small colorful and just enough space for herself and the baby.
She had picked out a ranch style home. Everything on one floor.
Some backyard space. A nice front porch.
She woke up to kicks. Her body taken over by the pregnancy.
She did all the research she could.
But Karen advised her even with that. This was day by day. Minute by minute. Real life was going to take whatever information she had learned and really test her.
She was walking around trying to get as much time and quiet to herself before everything changed.
But once she felt felt a sharp pain. Her knees buckled. Her eyes went wide. That wasn't Braxton Hicks.
That was labor.
"Okay. Breath and stay calm."
"Don't focus on the pain. Try to relax."
"I think crossing you're legs will slow it down." Brooke advised.
As she started to drive out of the park and towards the hospital.
Brooke was out of her depth here. She called Karen. Then Lucas.
Relieved when they showed up as soon as they could.
"We'll going to do this together." Karen said. Taking Haley's hand in hers as the nurse wheeled Haley through the double doors.
And towards labor and delivery.
